Rex smiles while looking at the white cocoon in front of him,
The process of Delta evolving is quite flashy and even the descendants are curious about what she will look like after the evolution, it's not an everyday thing to see a mutated animal evolve like this.
Just from the power alone, Delta should reach around early or mid-sixth rank.
While standing on the side, Rex then asks the system as he touches the white cocoon that feels like a solid object even though it's made of mana, 'How long will the evolution takes?'

<Approximately a few hours but it might take the whole day>
'What?! The whole day?!', Rex exclaimed inside his head.
One of the reasons he helps Delta evolve is to help him keep the descendants safe, but if it takes all day he will need to protect the descendants on his own.
Especially the fourth rank little girl that is the most likely to die.
While touching the white cocoon, Rex then thought, 'It's quite sturdy, the fifth rank or even a sixth rank won't be able to penetrate through. I can leave her here for the moment'
He can feel the lightning mana surrounding Delta, and it's quite enormous.
Rex shakes his head as he thought of a solution, he then walks towards the descendants as their eyes land on Rex before checking the time to see if the ten minutes is up.
They have a bit more time but they didn't complain seeing that Rex was about to approach them.
"Alright listen up!", Rex said loudly attracting their attention.
Some of the survivors also look at him from the side but Rex ignored them, their main mission is to take out the five Undead companies and it takes the first priority.
With the five Undead companies still here, the survivors will be in constant fear.
They don't have anywhere to go and the city is already trashed, a roaming undead might just visit this place and kills them all off since they have no Awakened amongst them.
Even the weakest of the weakest Undead can wipe them all out,
Rex gaze at each of the descendants' eyes before he instructed, "We'll start moving now, the location of the five companies of undead are still unknown and we must find them"
"We also need to find the SCO, but they should come from the east"
"So we're going to scout the northwest direction while waiting for the SCO, split into a team of two and if you got lost just go back here in about a couple of hours"
While Rex is saying this to the descendants, one of the survivors, a woman with a missing arm approaches him from the side with a fearful look, "Y-You're going to leave us?"
"Are you insane?! You are from the UWO, you have to help us!", another survivor added.
Hearing this, Rex sighed since he already expected this much, "We have a mission here, this girl right here will be here until we come back so don't worry", Rex pointed at the little Lava Elementalist girl.
Fordie is still passed out and the little girl is a fourth rank Awakened,
Since the city has been cleared from all of the Undead, it should be relatively safe here aside from an unexpected situation.
The little girl was surprised that she got pointed at but she understands why.
Scouting unknown places are very dangerous, and she can't possibly prepare for an ambush from the Undead with her powers even with the battle equipment she's using.
"This little girl?", a man said looking at the little girl up and down.
There's a judging look on his face while looking at the little girl before he added, "Just from her looks alone, she's probably the weakest amongst you. Are you leaving us with just her?"
"What will happen if a strong Undead came?", the woman added angrily.
The survivors started to becker helping the man and the woman, it's quite shocking to see these kinds of people since normal humans usually revered them as a deity.
But nevertheless, the fear of dying overwhelms them more than the latter.
'I really don't like their tone', Rex thought as his expression turns darkened, but he didn't show it clearly since they're normal humans that only did this out of fear for their lives.
Evelyn saw Rex's darkened expression as she was about to intervene.
Although Evelyn trust that Rex is a reasonable person, she's still concerned since Rex is a Werewolf which is a Supernatural species that is widely known for their anger issues.
Some of the terrifying Werewolf has powers that make them stronger the angrier they get.
Evelyn didn't know what kind of Werewolf Rex is, but judging from his strength it's clear that he's not a lower rank one such as Omegas or Betas.
'I need to stop this, he's definitely an Alpha', Evelyn thought as she prepares to step in.
But then suddenly, one of the survivors, a brown-haired woman steps forward.
She then stepped in front of the arguing woman and man and said softly, "We don't need to fight, they have a mission here and we're standing on their way"
"We should be thankful that we're alive"
Hearing this, the survivors snickers but they still shut their mouths albeit reluctantly.
"Thank you for saving us, we hope you can deal with the Undead as soon as possible and know that my prayers are always directed to you", the woman face Rex and said with a smile.
Rex sighs while scratching his head,
His eyes then fall to some little kids that are hiding behind their parents, frowning for a moment Rex then looks at the descendants and points, "You, Metal Elementalist guy!"
"Just call me Tyrice", the Metal Elementalist guy, Tyrice said with a wry smile.
But Rex ignores him and said, "You and your brother will stay here too, and also keep an eye on my pet, Delta"
After saying that, Rex turns back to the survivors again.
"That Metal Elementalist and his brother will be here to keep you guys safe, in the meantime, you should find a place to hide until we finish our mission. There's no more problem with these two right?", Rex said while looking directly at the man and woman before.
Tyrice who heard this then shouted, "TYRICE! MY NAME IS TYRICE!", but Rex ignored him again.
Seeing this, the man and the woman nods their heads.
Tyrice and his brother are muscular, they have dark skin with sixth rank powers.
Both of them are a Metal Elementalist and a Diamond Elementalist respectively, they look reliable since they seem the oldest one here, and also their spells are defense-related so keeping them here will be the best option.
"Alright, let's move out!", Rex shouted.
A moment later,
Rex and the other descendants are dashing through a flat plain,
Before Rex leaves the city, he has already given the Elixir of Light to the ones that still haven't got their weapons cloaked with light elements yet.
It'll be useful to fight against the undead,
"Rex this is bad", Evelyn said from the side,
Hearing this, Rex also nodded his head as he looks at his surrounding, "We're completely out in the open", he mumbles with a worried look.
Rex and the other descendants are dashing in a flat plain,
This kind of terrain is the worst for scouting since any Undead can see them from afar, they might not even realize that they're already spotted.
"Should we make a detour there?", Dray points at a forest a couple of miles from their positions.
Since Eqosa City is built on a hill, the Undead main camp should be in the forest.
Rex can even see Eqosa City on the hill from this position, it looks fine at first but upon closer inspection, he can see that the walls surrounding Eqosa City are in a bad state.
It's the aftermath from the battle that happened here before,
Upon thinking this, Rex shakes his head, "The Undead main camp should be there, it'll be too dangerous if any of you encounter the seventh rank undead"
But Rex can't help but look in the forest direction, he is thinking about something.
Seve and Evelyn saw this expression of his, it's not clear but they can feel that Rex is intending to do something but still deliberating about it.
After thinking for a moment, Rex decided to just keep moving first.
The further they move forward, they started to encounter many human skeletons lying on the barren ground unattended.
It's clear that the fight spread even to here,
Cough! Cough!
Many of the descendants started coughing and becoming nauseous when they smell the rotten and death-like smell lingering in the air, but Rex has to admit that it's quite hazardous.
"Smell this", Rex said taking out a fragrant flower that instantly seeped into the others' nose.
Before coming to this mission Rex already prepared everything that he can think of, one of them is if the descendants can't handle the smell of rotting flesh leftover from the battles here.
The descendants take one whiff of the flower before their nauseousness disappear.
Rex then handed the flower to Dray who is confused while receiving it before he said, "You guys should keep going forward, the Great Barricade is that way so the Werewolf reinforcement should be around there"
"Some Undead companies should be guarding there, after finding cover then you can split up and scout them out. Dray will be in charge until I got back and don't forget to kill any stranded Undead you find"
"Where are you going?", Evelyn asks from the side.
Hearing this, Rex glanced to the forest area on the other side before he replied, "I'm going to check the forest, Gerrard's team should be there"
"Then why are you going there?", Dray asks in confusion.
If Gerrard's team is already in the forest, then there will be no reason for Rex to go there.
They should just find the other companies outside of the forest and just let the companies in the forest be dealt with by Gerrard, but Rex has another reason, "I need to give him something"
"The seventh rank undead, I have a bad feeling from it", he added.
After Rex's persuasion, the descendants finally nodded their heads before Rex gave them a crystal he bought from the system that will send a distress signal to the sky.
It will notify Rex that they're in danger,
But then suddenly,
"Let me come with you!"
"Let me come with you!"
Evelyn and Maurice suddenly said at the same time, they look at each other in surprise before turning their heads towards Rex who is also caught off guard.
Shaking his head, Rex then said, "I'll go alone, it's too dangerous to come with me"
But Rex's eyes then landed on Maurice who seem to want to say something, he was signaling something but Rex still can't bring him there.
Maurice is wearing an eye patch, he follows Rex's command earlier.
Thanks to his bravery in gauging his eyes out with his bare hands, Rex decided to let Maurice heal one of his eyes respecting his courage.
'Does he want to talk about the Platchi Family's decision?', Rex thought.
He then shakes his head, 'I can't let him come with me, I need them to not follow me'
"Just stick with your assigned mission, scout the Undead companies, and don't make direct contact with them just pinpoint their location", Rex said.
He then continues with a serious expression, "Don't die, and make sure to come back if it's already night no matter the circumstances"
Moments later,
Rex just arrived at the forest alone,
The smile on his face can't be contained as he smells the particular scent on the air, 'I can't let them accompany me, this is the perfect chance to raise my level!'
With so many Undead around here, Rex can definitely raise his level a couple of times.
Even with the 1 billion exp that he got from the amplified quest reward earlier, he still needs a bit more to raise his level so he will use this time to grind some exp.
'I'll quickly raise my level before I go to that Delarosa Family', Rex thought.
There's a time limit for completing his Berserk Quest, although it's still long Rex doesn't intend to wait too long since he needs to save Rosie.
Rosie's well being kept bugging his minds lately,
After nearing the particular scent that he's following, Rex stops beside a tree and hides while he opened the last reward he got from the amplified quest before.
'In case something bad happened, Let's check out the box first', he thought.
The High-Rank Selection Box,
Rex has only got two box items from the system, and they're certainly good.
And seeing that this item has a selection on its name, Rex already expected that he will be given a choice to choose from the content of this High-Rank Selection Box.
Thanks to the amplified quest, Rex got three of these boxes.
Rex summons the box from the inventory before a bronze box appears in his hand.
The box is bronze in color with wolf head and moon carvings, it doesn't emit a particular aura but Rex saw that there's a Silverstar symbol just like the ones on Adhara's neck on it.
It's the symbol that Rex decided before making the Silverstar Pack,
"Let's check what's the options", Rex mutters as he opened the box slowly before suddenly,
SWISH!!
White energy escapes the bronze box after Rex opened it, the white energy then gathers in front of him forming three objects with a description from the system below it that makes Rex's eyes widen in surprise.
Rex looks at the three objects before he leans on the tree, "This is...."
