The white energy that came out of the box and form three different objects in front of Rex, his eyes widen when he looks at the three objects with descriptions in front of him.
"This is... This is a great reward!", he mutters as his eyes turn excited.
Rex looks at the three options in front of him with bright eyes, he glances at the options from left to right as he thought, 'I got three of these boxes, does the reward generated will be random?'
'If they don't then can I have all three of these?'
In front of Rex lies three items,
The left one shows a weirdly beautiful amulet that is shaped like an eye with a dark dot in the middle, it's obviously a piece of equipment but when Rex read the description he finally realizes what this amulet is.
<Amulet of Sorrow>
An amulet that is imbued and worn by Whiro the Wicked Being of Death, this amulet is a seventh rank item that can manipulate the power of sorrow, anguish, misery, sadness, despair, and other related emotions. The wearer can draw power from others' agony.
Gives the user an active skill Malefic and gains a passive skill Torment Sense, wearing multiple items of Whiro the Wicked Being of Death will amplify its effect.
Rex read the description of the amulet and finds that this amulet is related to his Whiro Necklace of Fear, he remembers that Whiro has three items and the other one is this amulet.
'Amplify effect? Then should I test the box by picking this?', Rex thought.
The other two items are sixth rank armor while the other one is an item that gives an absolute exp to his body parts including his claws, eyes, and body.
Out of the three, the one that interests Rex the most is the Amulet of Sorrow.
Without thinking much, Rex picked the Amulet of Sorrow before the other two items disappeared into nothingness as the Amulet of Sorrow glows.
After a flash, the Amulet of Sorrow appeared in Rex's hand.
Upon looking at the Amulet of Sorrow directly, Rex finds that the amulet turns out to be blue in color with a black dot in the middle that makes it looks like an eye. Pale white energy swirls inside the amulet as Rex brings it up to the sun.
The pale white energy adds attractiveness to the amulet as Rex asks the system, 'How do I use this? Do I just need to have it on me?'

Rex takes the necklace before he brings it closer to the amulet,
As the Amulet of Sorrow and Whiro Necklace of Fear got closer to each other, Rex can see a slight tremble of energy in between the two items.
It's like the energies between the two items are react to each of their presence,
When the necklace and the amulet touch each other, Rex can see both items got enveloped with their respective energies before they merge into one item.
Rex didn't need to wait for too long before the item finished its merging process.
Now what lies in Rex's hand is just a necklace with the Amulet of Sorrow as its pendant decorating the necklace, it's very beautiful even though it should be a wicked item.

Reading this, Rex was ecstatic since he just got many upgrades.
Not only did he get new skills but the necklace effect has also been amplified, it increases his mental by 120 instead of the former 30 points which is four times the amount!
It's not a mistake to pick this item instead of the other ones before.
Rex now only needs to get the last item to complete Whiro's set, and he will definitely try and find it at the shop later before he went to the Vampire Territory.
After assessing what he got, he immediately opens the other two boxes.
The items coming out of the box are different every time unlike what Rex has expected, and he picked two items from the options which are a Skill Upgrade Ticket and a skill called Extreme State.

Allows the user to put the user's body in an extreme state for five minutes, in this state all of the user's senses will be sharpened and the user will also gain the ability to sense the enemy's weakness. Using this skill will weaken the user for half a day.
Rex was enticed by this skill since it'll be useful as a trump card,
In the future where he will be going to the Delarosa Family, he will need this kind of skill if he encounters a way stronger Vampire either to run or fight.
Although the cost is great, this will be a good skill for desperate measures.
'Let's upgrade the Ruler of the Night passive skill', Rex thought as he open his skill tree and tap the upgrade button on the Ruler of the Night skill.
The Skill Upgrade Ticket is a ticket that allows Rex to upgrade any existing skill,
One of Rex's most valuable skills is the Ruler of the Night skill that has just been upgraded from Creature of the Night, it's the skill that makes him stronger at night.
After upgrading the skill,
Ruler of the Night skill turns into a Supreme Skill, Sovereign of the Night.
Sovereign of the night skill will increase Rex's stats by 200% during his Werewolf Form and 130% during his human form, it's a huge increase from the Ruler of the Night skill.
'This skill is my core skill, I can't believe it can still be upgraded', Rex thought.
Although this skill has been upgraded two times already, there's still the upgradeable sign beside the skill which means there's a higher-level skill than this one.
Rex can't find the end of it, and he can't imagine how much increase for the next one.
Finishing the high-rank box selection that he got, Rex then opens his stats tab to see the increase that he experienced.

After checking his stats, Rex suddenly turns his head to the right,
Because of getting the Torment Sense and the range area is also upgraded, he can feel someone is feeling immense sadness from his side.
'The undead won't go anywhere, I need to check if it's one of the descendants', Rex thought.

Taking one last look at the particular smell that he's following before, Rex then dashes towards the direction that emits a very thick sadness aura that he felt.
Rex dashes in the forest like a shadow,
It didn't take long before he can hear someone is talking, he was nearing the source of the sadness aura that he felt.
"Are you out of your mind? This is suicide if we go any further, the Undead will notice us and we will instantly die! How can you fight them?!"
"I'm not going back until I find him"
"Leo! Please just listen to me, we can't be here!"
A woman's voice and a guy's voice can be heard quarreling, Rex frown when he heard this as he deduces that it's not one of the descendants, 'Why is a civilian here? Are they asking to die?'
Rex pick up his face before he stops beside a tree,
He can see a guy that the woman called Leo that looks to be around Kyran's age and a woman older than Leo, the sadness emotion came from both of them.
But the thicker one is from the woman,
The guy called Leo has a violent expression power walking with a beaten up sword in his hand, just from a scan Rex realizes that the sword is a rank zero sword.
It doesn't have the durability of a regular sword, and it's on the brink of shattering.
Rex follows the two from the dark, he's following the two of them since they seem to be looking for someone and there's a chance that they know where the battle has taken place.
If that's true then Rex can find one of the Undead companies,
Albeit finding the Undead company, Rex suddenly saw the two came across an undead.
The undead is a colossus skeleton that stands around 12 feet tall, it's towering the two like an elephant making the woman falls to the ground in surprise.
Dark Energy is sizzling around the colossus skeleton,
Bone spikes that sprouted from the colossus skeleton's spine make it looks menacing, its glowing red eyes are like the stare of death in the two perspectives.
Instead of cowering away, Leo holds his fragile sword in front of him steadily.
"LEO! WE NEED TO RUN!!", the woman exclaimed after she snapped out of her daze, the colossus skeleton in front of them is not something normal people like them can fight.
But instead of listening to the woman, Leo stands his ground like a mad man.
'He's going to die, that's a fifth rank skeleton and he's just a normal human', Rex thought as he shakes his head, it's just futile to try and fight the colossus skeleton.
Looking at the two humans, the colossus skeleton faces them slowly.
Leo gritted his teeth before charging like a raging bull, he swings the sword with all his might to the colossus skeleton shin but it didn't go as expected,
CLANG!
The fragile sword shatter as if it's nothing but a toy sword,
It's already expected since it's a rank zero sword while the colossus skeleton in front of them is the fifth rank, the fragile sword is bound to be broken.
But out of Rex's expectation, Leo's expression didn't change.
Leo then tackle the colossus skeleton's leg with all the strength he can muster, the woman started crying hysterically while witnessing this.
Even knowing that he can't beat the colossus skeleton, Leo didn't stop.
The colossus skeleton looks at Leo with a blank look, it's clear that the colossus skeleton is playing around with Leo as it swats Leo away.
BAM!
"Aaargh!", Leo got swatted away like a bug hitting the tree beside him.
He coughed out a mouthful of blood feeling his bones crack,
The scene in front of Rex shows just how much the difference between a normal human and a Supernatural, and this makes him a little bit pissed.
"Leo please, let's just run...", the woman pleaded.
But Leo stands up in difficulty before he looks at the colossus undead, "BRING BACK BACK MY FATHER YOU DAMN SUPERNATURAL!", he shouted,
His roar is loud despite the blood leaking out of his mouth,
The colossus skeleton heard this but doesn't react, Leo is like a bug buzzing on its ears.
"I SWEAR! I WILL KILL YOU EVEN IF IT COST MY LI-", before Leo can finish his threat, a streak of black lightning went past his vision,
CRASH!
Both Leo and the woman widen their eyes when they realized what just happened.
Rex appeared in front of them like a ghost showing his wide back, the silver sword is unsheathed and it's in his hand with the colossus skeleton nowhere to be seen.
Leo slowly looks down before he saw bones scattered in the surroundings,
It's the carcass of the colossus skeleton that he attacked before, Rex obliterates it with just one swing of his silver sword.
The colossus skeleton that looks like a monster in front of the two crumbles,
It can't even withstand one swing of Rex's attack, Rex then glances at his back and gaze at the two, "Are you stupid? You could've just died there"
A moment later,
"You're saying you wanted to find your dad's corpse and buried him?", Rex asks lightly.
Leo and the woman turn out to be brother and sister, Leo sneaks out of Eqosa City where they live and goes to this forest in the hope to find his father's corpse.
His sister follows him trying to persuade him to not be rash,
Leo and his sister nodded their heads when they heard what Rex said.
Rex sighed knowing that Leo was not thinking with his head, he's still young and he just did something reckless and would've died if Rex is not here, "Don't throw your lives away"
"Your father sacrifices his life to protect you, and how can you just throw your life like that"
Hearing this, Leo puts down his head while his sister is glaring at him from the side angrily.
Rex rubs his chin thinking about something, he then asks, "You seem to know where you are going, do you know where the battle takes place?"
"I don't know", Leo replied softly.
But then, his sister answered, "I can roughly tell where it is, Why would you ask that?"
"Tell me the direction, and after that, I will take you and your brother back to Eqosa City", Rex replied decisively, he will need every information that he can get.
While he's embarking in the forest,
Rex only met with a couple of corpses around, it's a weird sight for him.
The smell that he's following before surely belongs to the powerful Death Energy he felt, so he assumed whatever that undead was is surely leading a company of Undead.
Based on the UWO, there are five companies of Undead.
If one or two company is guarding the access point for the Werewolf reinforcement, there should be two more companies in this forest. Or at least that's what Rex assumed,
The woman told Rex the direction of the last battle fought,
After remembering the direction, Rex was about to carry both of them back to Eqosa City but stopped by Leo, "Sir, Can you help me find my dad?"
"It's going to be hard to find him, I don't even know what he looks like", Rex replied.
The location that he will be going to is the place where the humans and the Supernatural clash, there are bound to be many corpses of fallen humans there so it'll be impossible to find a particular person out of the corpses.
With his weirdly smooth voice, "Then take me! Please!", Leo pleaded.
"I can't do that, you'll be in constant danger and I can't protect you", Rex shakes his head.
But unexpectedly, Leo suddenly approaches Rex and holds onto him by hugging his waist.
Rex looks at Leo in surprise and found that he's sobbing, he grips Rex's waist tightly as he said, "Please! I just want to give him a proper burial"
"Leo! Don't be like that", the woman said while pulling Leo away.
But it's futile, Leo is holding onto Rex without intending to let go at all.
Upon looking at this, Rex closes his eyes slowly as Edward's face flashes past his mind making a frown appear on his face.
A system notification appear on Rex's vision as he scratches his head,
"Find I'll bring you, but keep close to me no matter the circumstances", Rex finally said, and this made Leo's face brighten up.
While Rex on the other hand is drained, 'Fuck you, Edward'
