Hearing the whispering mumble coming out of Rex’s mouth,
Wesley in his dying breath widens his eyes as his face turns pale, he then glances at Hans who is on Rex’s back and is oblivious to how Rex looks right now.
Since Rex’s back is facing toward him, Hans can’t see Rex’s fangs and red eyes.
Upon seeing Wesley trying to say something, Rex covers his mouth with his hand, “Let’s not do that, deadman can’t speak”, he mutters with an evil grin.
Adhara was surprised when she saw Rex’s expression,
The devious expression is like coming from a monster from the pit of hell itself, even Gistella’s body started shivering upon seeing Rex’s expression.
She looks away unable to look at Rex’s expression filled with bloodlust.
STAB!
With one swift motion, Rex stabbed through the gaping hole made by Prof. K on Wesley’s chest with his claws before grabbing Wesley’s Spirit Core.
Wesley tries to struggle intending to tell Hans,
But no matter how much he tries it’s all futile, Rex slowly squeezes the Spirit Core as Wesley’s wide-open eyes show the pain he’s currently feeling.
“Goodbye, May you regret choosing to oppose me”, Rex said, he then crushed the Spirit Core.

Just like that, an eighth Awakened died under Rex’s claws.
The moment the Spirit Core shatters, all of the mana and spirit energy inside of Wesley’s body dispersed, and this resulted in his entire body bursting into the blood.
Some of the blood manage to stain Rex’s face but he didn’t seem to be troubled by it.

A couple of notifications from the system appeared in Rex’s vision, the killing intent and sudden quest got completed after finishing Wesley off.
Rex even manage to increase by 1 level again,
’10 billion exp just from killing an early eighth rank, I’m not surprised’, Rex thought.
After killing Wesley, Rex slowly stands up and arches his back before looking back at Hans, “You know what to do right? I believe you will fulfill your part of the deal?”
“I will take responsibility for all of this, you have my word”, Hans replied decisively.
There’s still a disgusted expression on his face while looking at Wesley’s corpse, but he then suddenly bowed deeply at Rex and said, “I’m grateful to you Rex Silverstar”
“Even if I try for the rest of my life, killing Wesley will be very hard. Although I want to kill him with my own hands, as long as he’s dead my wife…”
Hans closed his mouth holding back his emotions, he can’t muster any words.
After turning his head away to calm himself down, Hans then added, “You bring the truth into light, for that, I’m deeply grateful”
Hearing this, Rex waves his hand.
Looking back at Wesley’s corpse, Rex then replied, “Don’t be, I also feel disgusted when I know what Wesley has done to you. So with this, I hope your wife will find peace up there”
A couple of tears fall to the ground after Hans heard what Rex said,
The realization that more than ten years of his life is devoted to helping a person who was actually the one who rape and killed his wife is devastating, he can’t help to shed tears.
Rex didn’t blame him for crying, it’s not easy to cope with something he experienced.
But when Rex was about to turn to the others, another man appeared beside them like a gust of wind, “Sir Rex”, the man greeted.
Rex glanced at the man before a smile crept on his face, “Ari… Have you brought good news?”
“Yes, all of the factories have been taken and occupied. The Awakened of the Atkins Family has surrendered when Wesley didn’t show up”, Ari replied while glancing at Wesley’s corpse.
Ari was shocked to see Wesley’s destroyed corpse,
Although it’s very hard to believe what he’s seeing right now, Rex really did kill Wesley one of the prominent head families from the 25 Golden Crest.
It’s a feat none around his age has managed to achieve, it’s simply astonishing.
Hearing this, Rex nodded his head.
From Ari reporting this to him means that the Reed Family is involved during the raid, this basically means that Wesley did cheat, ‘10% it is, it’s your loss Stevanus…’, Rex thought.
Just like he has planned from the start,
All of the Atkins Family’s business will be occupied by him including the automotive business and the cellphone business before giving a share to the Reed Family that helped him.
Prof. K didn’t ask for any knowing that if the King knew then he will be screwed.
Rex nodded his head as the plan went as expected,
Even for the Atkins Family who is the ninth rank family in the 25 Golden Crest, the attack from the combination of the Luc Family, Platchi Family, Reed Family, and the black hand is too much.
It crumbles their spirit when Wesley didn’t come, so they all surrender.
Ari was about to leave after giving the news to Rex but then suddenly, “Kyran, he’s all yours”, Rex said before turning around to face Adhara and the others.
Hearing this, Ari was confused before suddenly, “Harghkk!”
Out of nowhere, Kyran came out from the darkness before stabbing Ari in his chest with two daggers surprising Ari who was not expecting this.
Kyran then raises Ari’s body off the ground using the daggers,
“W-What?! K-Kyran?!”, Ari exclaimed in surprise after glancing to his back, the one that stabbed him is Kyran who sneaked behind him without even him knowing.
The surprised look makes Kyran crack an evil smile,
Before Ari can even threaten using Stevanus’ name or even say anything, Rex suddenly said after stopping in his track, “I’ve made a deal with Stevanus, and one of my requests is you”
“You see, poking your nose in my business is okay. You can mess with me all you want, but you didn’t just try to peek into my business but you used a woman that Kyran cares about to take advantage of his feeling. Taking advantage of Kyran will not be taken lightly”
“Stevanus has agreed to hand you over, so your life officially ends today”
Ari widens his eyes in surprise upon hearing this, “W-Wait… It’s my mistake, let me redeem myself!”, he pleaded for mercy to Rex.
“It’s not me who you should be asking, it’s him”, Rex replied pointing at Kyran.
When Ari was about to plead to Kyran, the daggers inside his chest got twisted before Kyran ripped his chest by slashing the daggers in the outside direction.

Kyran is not that merciful to someone that took advantage of him,
The daggers ripped his chest open almost looking like a fish gill before Kyran stepped to Ari’s front slowly, his eyes imbued with dark mana are glaring at Kyran just like a monster’s eyes.
With the same evil smile, Kyran grabs Ari’s neck and ripped it with his hand.
Splash!
Blood shot out of Ari’s ripped throat as he falls to the ground dead, just like that Kyran killed the person who used Lisa to extract information from him.
After seeing this, Rex then said, “I trust you’re not going to make the same mistake again”
“The mistake I made… Nothing of that sort will happen again”, Kyran replied resolutely.
Upon seeing the strong and decisive tone of Kyran’s voice, Rex smiles before turning to look at Adhara, “Do you still want to kill Hans?”, he asks whisperingly.
The question unconsciously makes Adhara looks at Hans who is still crying.
Adhara once told him that she wanted to kill Hans with her own hands so Rex need to ask this just in case, but he already knew Adhara’s answer just from looking at her face.
With a deep breath, Adhara then replied, “It’s okay… he’s been through a lot”
Hearing this, Rex smiles lightly before he turns to Hans and instructed, “Hans, you can go now. Take Wesley’s corpse with you, fulfill your part and I’ll fulfill mine”
Without saying anything, Hans nodded his head and took Wesley’s corpse before dashing away.
After Hans dashes away, Rex looks back at the girls.
Adhara and Evelyn are looking at Rex with blank expressions as the both of them witness how Rex handled the situation, they’re still shocked even now.
Not only does Rex takes down one of the top ten families, but he’s also very ruthless in doing it.
There’s not one hint of empathy in his expression throughout the entire ordeal, Rex already steeled his resolve in killing Wesley Atkins.
“You did it…”, Adhara mutters seeing Rex looking at her again.
Hearing this, Rex smiles lightly and replied, “It’s hard, but I did it just as planned”
“You should’ve trusted me from the start, I won’t let your father and my parents died easily like that”, he added reassuringly which makes Adhara feel bad.
But then, “It’s okay though, that’s the reaction I need to fool Wesley”
There’s no sign of the ruthless expression that Rex wore during the ordeal of killing Wesley Atkins, it’s shocking that he can change in an instant like that.
Adhara then asks, “What will you do if the FAA or UWO investigate this?”
“Blood conflict between head families in the 25 Golden Crest must be conducted in front of the representative from the UWO and FAA, killing a head family outside of the regulation will be inflicted with severe penalties but…”, Evelyn explained before looking at Rex.
Rex smiles mischievously before he added, “Internal conflict in the family is the family’s head problem alone, the UWO and FAA doesn’t have any authorities to the internal of a family”
“It’s the agreed terms by all 25 Golden Crest Families, and that is their downfall”
Hearing this, Adhara frowned before her eyes widen in realization, “Hans going to surrender himself as Wesley’s murderer?! Will he really do that?”
“Yes, in exchange for me to fund his son Norman while he’s away”, Rex replied with a nod.
Although the UWO and FAA don’t have any authority over the internal conflict of the 25 Golden Crest Families, a murderer of an important figure like Wesley will still be held captive even though they don’t have jurisdiction to apprehend Hans.
Hans will probably still be prisoned or worse, but he already knew that.
After saying that to Adhara, Rex’s eyes then landed on Evelyn.
Rex’s eyes soften a little upon looking at Evelyn who has helped him in defeating Wesley, ‘If it weren’t for her, I wouldn’t be able to do this’, he thought.
Both of their eyes met, ‘Maybe it’s better to tell her now rather than later’
When Rex was about to tell Adhara and Gistella to give them a moment,
Rex’s eyes suddenly got attracted to Gistella who is breathing roughly, her body is heating up as she is gazing at Ari’s corpse that is still lying on the ground beside Kyran.
This makes Rex frown but then suddenly,
“Rarghh!”, Gistella growls before leaping to the corpse catching the other off guard.
Kyran who is just beside Ari’s corpse was surprised to see Gistella dashing toward him, he dodged Gistella by jumping to the side in reflex.
Crunch!
Right after Gistella reach the corpse, she started eating it like an animal.
Seeing this, Rex instantly moved as he grabbed Gistella’s shoulder and flung her to the side, “That’s enough! We’re not animals!”, he shouted with a hint of anger.
Rex is glaring at Gistella who now has blood all over her mouth,
There’s an animalistic eye as Gistella glare back at Rex, but she soon realizes what she’s doing as she instantly averted her gaze from Rex’s sharp glare.
With a slight bit of anger, Rex approach Gistella before he grabs her face.
Rex forced Gistella to look at him in the eyes before he said slowly, “We’re not animals… we don’t eat humans or even Supernatural you hear me?!”
“I-I’m sorry master, I-I don’t know what g-got into me”, Gistella replied stutteringly.
Hearing this, Rex pulls down Gistella’s clothes with his finger and saw that the Silverstar mark on her chest has already turned silver which shows that she has already evolved into a full-fledged Werewolf.
This makes him sigh, “Just don’t do that again”, he added before letting Gistella go.
Fearing that Gistella will get influenced by the corpse again, Rex went to Ari’s corpse before he puts it inside his inventory to avoid enticing Gistella more.
After doing that, Rex looks back at Evelyn before he said, “Give me a moment with Evelyn”
Adhara and Kyran were confused at first but they finally nodded their heads before they help Gistella up and leave Emham Forest leaving Evelyn alone with Rex.
The moment the others left, Rex looked at Evelyn who is looking at him with wide eyes.
‘How do I say this to her’, Rex thought while scratching his head.
But deciding to give it to her slowly, Rex then said, “Now that Wesley Atkins is gone, I’m going to save Rosie before we can then go on ou-“
“You turned me into a Werewolf didn’t you?”, Evelyn suddenly said cutting Rex’s sentence.
Evelyn can feel the changes in her body and also the black Silverstar mark on her nape, when she saw the same mark on Gistella’s chest she then realized what this means.
Hearing this, Rex sighs, “I didn’t have any other choice, you’re going to die…”
Since the wild cat they fought in the canyon before pierced Evelyn’s chest with an earth spike that stab through her Spirit Core, Rex was left with no other choice.
The system told him that the only way to save Evelyn is by turning her into a Werewolf.
Although being a Werewolf not necessarily will heal the wounded Spirit Core, she will be full of vigor and her body can still function albeit she will eventually die the same.
Inside the system shop, there’s an elixir to cure a wounded Spirit Core.
The item costs more than what Rex currently has, but after finishing Wesley Atkins he will definitely get the gold to buy the item and cure Evelyn’s Spirit Core.
Being a Werewolf will delay her death, so Rex is not worried.
“How are you feeling about this?”, Rex asks lightly wanting to know how Evelyn feels.
Hearing this, Evelyn paused for a moment before she opens her mouth, “Back then at the banquet when you vaguely asks my permission to turn you into a Werewolf, I’ve thought about it for a while now”
“It’s not that I don’t want to, but it’s a hard choice. I wouldn’t be able to turn back if I really turned into a Werewolf, so I need to think about it carefully”
“But now that it already happened, I can only accept it”
Evelyn smiles lightly as she decided to just accept the reality, she rather turns into a Werewolf than die, “I can’t blame you either, If I were in your shoes I also would’ve done the same thing”
“Does that mean you’re accepting this?”, Rex asks in disbelief.
Hearing this, Evelyn glanced at Rex with a teasing look, “What else can I do?”
“It’s already been done, rejecting it is not going to do me any good, and besides… I don’t know why but I feel like I would do anything for you”, she added but then suddenly,
Rex widen his eyes when he saw Evelyn falls to one knee,
She’s covering her mouth with her hand that is already starting to cover in blood, Rex then rushes to help her, “Evelyn!”
Just from the looks of it, this is certainly caused by her wounded Spirit Core.
“Is this some kind of side effect?”, Evelyn asks in confusion.
Hearing this, Rex shakes his head and said assuringly, “Your Spirit Core is still wounded even though I turned you into a Werewolf, but don’t worry I have something to treat your Spirit Core”
Instead of answering, Evelyn looks at Rex with an unexplainable expression.
“Hey, I have a question”, Evelyn asks, wiping the blood on her mouth.
Rex raises one of his eyebrows in confusion before Evelyn added, “Is it true that because I’m not a Werewolf, you choose Adhara more than me?”
“Is that why you wouldn’t lay your hand on me despite me provoking you to do it?”
Upon hearing this, Rex was caught off guard by the sudden question.
“Well… it’s not that I-“
Before Rex can even finish his sentence, Evelyn smiled at him sweetly and said, “Now that I’m a Werewolf, I have an equal ground against Adhara right?”
“I don’t like where this is going”, Rex mutters with a wry smile.
Evelyn’s sweet smile turns into a mysterious smile, “There’s no barrier blocking me to get you now, I’m going to look forward to our little date…”
“My Alpha…”, she added before winking at Rex.
