But then she realized that Rex is actually not paying attention to her,

Hearing this, Hina’s eyes glows green as the fox spirit behind her leaped at Rex with its sharp claws made entirely of concentrated wind mana.

Rex raises his arms to block the attack as he was sent flying away.
It was a heavy hit that even Rex raises his eyebrows in surprise since he felt it more than expected, the fox spirit seems to have the same power as Hina.

Both Hina and the fox spirit dash at Rex like a hurricane wind attacking Rex simultaneously.

Their combination of attacks came from all sides as Rex draws the Ameurus Katana, he then started parrying the fox spirit’s claws and Hina’s attack with his katana.
Exchanging blows after blows, the place started to get destroyed by their fight.
If a person was watching from the side, then the person will see two green lights and black lightning colliding repeatedly in the area creating powerful shockwaves.
Their fight goes from land to the lake and back to land again,
Even Kyran or Adhara won’t be able to follow their movements if they’re here, this fight is out of their leagues as Rex, Hina, and the fox spirit have seventh rank power.

Rex gritted his teeth when Hina’s fist landed on his ribs,
The sharp energy cloaking Hina’s fist breached the golden barrier from the Tetuka ring as it stabbed Rex right on the side of his body.
After that, there is a cracking sound that follows after making blood flow from the corner of his mouth, it was a heavy strike before the fox spirit attacked him from the side.

It’s going well before but Hina and the fox spirit win in terms of speed,
Before Rex can recover from the attack, Hina and the fox spirit already appears beside him and they’re already swinging their arms powerfully.

Hina looks to the ground and saw the entire place turns black out of nowhere.
Seeing this, her eyes widen before suddenly more than thirty black lightning tentacles emerge from the ground and started to go after her and the fox spirit.

The black tentacles’ movements are evidently faster than before,
Even Hina and the fox spirit have a hard time dodging the black tentacles as they’re fast and many, and this proves to be difficult for them to defend themselves.
While they’re dodging the black tentacles, Rex only stands at his spot without an expression.
Hina saw this before her expression darken, “Tempest Explosion!”

Powerful spirit energy blasted from her body destroying the black tentacles around her, the fox spirit also clawed the black tentacles as its body is also brimming with spirit energy.
After blasting the black tentacles, Hina’s eyes then glow with a green hue.
She’s currently still mid-air while this is happening,
Hina then pushed both of her fists to her front powerfully, the force of her thumping her fists forward makes the wind around her chaotic.
Her body then started to emit wind mana and spirit energy right after she did that.
While she’s doing this, Rex can feel the air around him change.
‘This seems to be a Pneuma Spell’, Rex thought before he points his finger at Hina.

A lightning strike shot towards Hina from his finger, the black lightning strike was about to hit Hina but then suddenly,

The lightning strike hit a wind barrier surrounding Hina,
Even the black lightning tentacles that are heading toward them got blocked by this wind barrier surrounding her, it’s imbued with spirit energy so it becomes more powerful.

Hina rotates her arms slowly as she channels the wind mana and spirit energy.
Under Rex’s gaze, the fox spirit merged with the swirling wind mana and spirit energy and started to take a shape of an even bigger fox made of wind behind her.
The sound of sharp bustling wind can be heard as the wind fox materializes.
With a thrust of both Hina’s arms, “Tempest Fox!!”

After she chanted that, the wind fox roared before galloping through the air toward Rex.
The wind fox absorbs the wind on the surroundings as it got bigger the closer it got to Rex, it’s posses a shocking amount of energy that even Rex felt threatened.
As the wind fox descends from the sky,
Rex can feel the wind around him pinning him in place, the wind locked him in his spot.
But although the wind fox is powerful, a smirk appeared on Rex’s face.

The ground got peeled off from below as the wind fox exploded with sharp wind, and even the water got cut a thousand times from the wind explosion.
Hina smiles when she saw that her Pneuma Spell hits Rex,
Using the Pneuma Spell heavily straining her as it can be seen from her rough breathing, even the fox spirit didn’t come out again after using that Pneuma Spell.
But when the dust and wind receded, Hina frowned when she doesn’t find Rex’s body anywhere.
Then suddenly,

Hina looks up to the sky before she frown when she saw the sky is covered by storm clouds.
Just right when the wind fox was about to hit Rex, there was a black lightning strike that strikes down from the sky at Rex a moment before the wind fox hit him.
It turns him into lightning particles before the wind fox exploded,
This is Rex’s Pneuma Spell, Ether Blink.
Since the Pneuma spell belongs to the second circle added with his superior element, the wind from the wind fox can’t lock Rex in place.
Hina looks up to the sky before her eyes widen when a lightning strike descends from the sky.

She dodged the lightning strike by jumping to the side,

Hina looks to her back and saw the lightning strike thrashing the ground she was at before.
If she got hit by one of that lightning strikes, she will be in a very bad spot, ‘His element… they’re not early Ultimate Elemnt’, she thought with a frown.
The leftover from the lightning strike makes her own element whimper,
But just when she manages to dodge the first lightning strike, the sky started raining with many black lightning strikes zapping the ground repeatedly.

The lightning strikes are so fast that Hina can hardly keep up,
Although the lightning strikes might hit her, the thing she’s worry the most is not the black lightning strike but rather Rex who appears and disappear with the lightning strikes.
Each time a couple of lightning strikes came down from the sky, Rex is inside one of them.
He’s like a ghost, and this brings a bad feeling to Hina.
Hina can see it clearly but she can’t keep up with the speed of the lightning, “ARGHH!”
Out of nowhere, a streak of lightning went past her before a deep cut was left on her stomach cutting through her sleeveless battle robe.
Blood decorated her torn sleeveless robe because of the cut on her stomach,
The cut zapped a bit of her strength, and the sizzling black lighting is prickling her cut.
She then glances left and right trying to predict where Rex might appear and attack her, but even with her focus she still can’t predict Rex’s movement.

It left her vulnerable as she’s stuck inside the rain of lightning strikes, she can’t leave the place since the stormclouds span a couple of miles and it’s filled with lightning strikes.
Hina started to panic when she realize that she was losing,
Even though Rex hasn’t even reached the seventh rank yet, she still got overwhelmed by Rex in terms of Awakened power which she still can’t believe.
“COME OUT YOU COWARD!”
“STOP HIDING INSIDE THESE LIGHTNING STRIKES!”
After she shouted that, Rex suddenly appear in front of her from a lightning strike.
Seeing that Rex has revealed himself, Hina smirks as she puts everything she got into a powerful dash intending to catch Rex by surprise.
,m But contrary to her expectation,
Rex’s eyes suddenly glow red as she suddenly felt her power got drained from her body.
This fazes her focus for a split second, but in a high-paced fight like this, the split second she loses focus can point the direction to the conclusion of their fight.

Hina stopped mid-track as she saw Rex is already in front of her,
She looks at Rex’s eyes before she looks down slowly, her eyes then slowly widen as she saw Rex’s katana that is glowing with red energy and sky black lightning piercing her right on her chest.
The pain slowly seeped onto Hina’s brain as she spat a mouthful of blood,
Upon closer inspection, the circlet’s green crystal on Hina’s head is glowing and it creates a wind barrier equivalent to a seventh rank barrier.
But the barrier still got pierced by Rex’s katana imbued with red force,
Rex stands strong with his body letting out white steam thanks to the reverse condition, he still can hold onto the pain but it’s starting to become unbearable.
So he will be ending the fight quickly,
The ultimate element that he possesses right now added with him being a peak sixth rank Awakened raises his mana so much, that he can even use Sky Rupture spell repeatedly.
Compatibility between his element and Devo also makes Rex able to use Ether Blink repeatedly.
Both of the Sky Rupture added with Ether Blink create a combination that overwhelms Hina, she was stuck in the middle of lightning strikes with Rex attacking her from her blindspots.
She can only rely on provoking Rex in the hope he will show himself,
But even when Rex shows himself, it’s not that her words got to him but it is intended.
Hina’s hands started trembling as she realized that she was dying, she reaches for Rex’s face but her hands can’t even attract the slightest bit of her mana as the black lightning disrupts her chants to use a spell.
Rex looks at Hina coldly as he pulls the katana out of her slowly,
“Haahkk!”, Hina sucked in a cold breath as the katana got pulled out of her body, she’s still holding onto Rex with her hands while looking at him in disbelief.
There are no words coming out of her mouth as she was speechless at the result of their fight.
Seeing the painful look on Hina’s face makes Rex’s eyes widen, he then takes a step back making Hina stumbles without any support before he said, “I’m sorry”
After apologizing, Rex takes a deep breath before he swings his katana decisively.

Hina’s body stopped moving after the katana slashed past her, and her eyes turns lifeless in a second before her head falls to the ground cleanly.
The katana cuts her head very cleanly that even her blood didn’t stain the katana.

He fears that the same thing might’ve happened to the citizens,
Although it’s probably due to the Lunar Eclipse before, it still worries him and is risky to use.
But while he’s looking around, Rex suddenly frowns, ‘Where are the other Awakened?’
“I already take care of them, you don’t need to worry”, Evelyn suddenly said from the side.
Hearing this, Rex was surprised as he turns to Evelyn, “You’re already reading my mind now? Is that it?”, he said with a slight chuckle.

He’s gazing at Evelyn for a moment which makes Evelyn somehow feel shy, she’s melting under Rex’s intense stare that went on for more than a minute.
But then Rex finally said, “Alright let’s go, It’ll be bad if we meet the FAA or the Atkins”
