While looking at Evelyn, Rex is inspecting her body which intrigues him, ‘She doesn’t suffer many injuries, I swear there’s a mid-sixth rank amongst those Awakened’, he thought.
But when Rex scans her stats, he found that she reached the mid-sixth rank already.

Upon looking at Evelyn’s stats, Rex then thought for a moment in surprise, ‘Huh… didn’t she just reach the sixth rank not too long ago, her improvement is quite fast’
For a mid-sixth rank Awakened, Evelyn’s stats are ridiculously powerful.
Her bodily stats are even comparable to peak sixth rank Awakened although lacking in Endurance, her intelligence stat is the one that sticks out the most.
It’s almost as strong as Gistella’s intelligence after absorbing the Enchanter’s horn.
But while scanning Evelyn’s stats,
Rex taps the number two beside the power section and found that she possesses a gift in speed and also her sound affinity reached the early sixth rank.
From this alone, Rex concludes that her ridiculous intelligence stat is thanks to the two affinities.
‘Does that mean she has two spirits? She must’ve got it recently’, Rex thought.
Since during the mission from the UWO, Evelyn never summons her other spirit so she must just get the spirit for his sound element.
Because of this, Rex is even more convinced that Evelyn is resourceful.
When Rex was about to close Evelyn’s stats, his eyes suddenly caught the race section which surprises him since this is the first time he has ever seen such a human race, ‘Exalted Human?’
After tapping the race section, a notification then appears.

A higher bloodline of the human race is referred to as the Humans’ Magus. Exalted Human is a sign of respect and dedication gifted from nature itself, having a solid comprehension of more than one element will evolve a human’s bloodline into Exalted Human. Upon becoming an Exalted Human, the person’s spells will be increased in potency and also receive the Magus Mind.
Upon reading this, Rex was quite surprised.
Not only that this is his first time knowing such a race of the human race, but this Exalted Human also can be reached by any human as long as they comprehend more than one element.
Evelyn manage to evolve her bloodline since she possesses two elements,
Although she reached this Exalted bloodline, Rex doesn’t know whether Evelyn knows about this.
Becoming an Exalted Humans brings benefit to the Awakened which is described in the system’s notification, it’s a very useful benefit that piqued Rex’s interest.
‘System, Can I also become this Exalted Human?’, Rex asks.
Since he’s a Royal Black Werewolf, there’s a slim chance that he will be able to get this bloodline too but nevertheless, he still asks the system just in case.
After he asks that, a notification appears before a smile crept on Rex’s face.
<Exalted bloodline is a gift from nature to whichever creature that manages to comprehend more than one element, a Werewolf can also receive this Exalted bloodline as long as the necessary requirements are fulfilled>
The notification brought a smile to Rex’s face but he wiped it off his face instantly.
Rex’s doubt got wiped away by this one notification saying that even a Werewolf or any other creature can get the blessing from nature to become Exalted.
‘Which element should I get…’, Rex deliberate for a moment.
But when he’s thinking about this, he realized that he’s still in a rather unsafe place.
Rex then snapped out of his thought and finally said, “Alright let’s go, It’ll be bad if we meet the FAA or the Atkins”
Hearing this, Evelyn nodded her head but she then stopped,
“Wait a minute”, Evelyn said as she dashes away leaving Rex in confusion before she came back with four corpses.
These corpses are the corpses of the Awakened other than Hani,
After piling them up together including Hani, Evelyn’s hands started to burn with dark fire before she started burning the corpses intending to burn their bodies.
But while looking at this, Rex frowned, ‘Hani is a seventh rank Awakened…’
Since Hani is a seventh rank Awakened, her body is very strong, and with the current fire that Evelyn possesses, it won’t be powerful enough to burn Hani’s body.
Rex is preparing to help but then suddenly,
“Great Spell, Shattering Blare…”
NGING!!
The dark fire started blazing more powerfully as it got imbued with sound mana, a sound wave was created followed by a loud ringing sound after Evelyn’s chant.
Under Rex’s eyes, the corpse’s skin started cracking under the fire and sound waves.
It didn’t take long before the corpses’ skin shatter as the dark fire invaded the softer insides, this makes burning the corpses faster than before.
The process went on or about one minute before Evelyn stopped,
She’s looking at the pile of corpses before she sighs dejectedly, “Still not potent enough huh… Even with that, I can’t burn the seventh rank Awakened’s corpse”
The other Awakened’s corpses are burnt to crips leaving only black ash.
But even with the amplification from the sound waves,
Hani’s corpses are still intact without a scratch on her corpse, this just shows the disparity between their strength as Evelyn steps back with a frown.
“We need to get rid of these, at least so the FAA can’t recover their bodies”, Evelyn said.
Hearing this, Rex then nodded his head, “Let me help”
After saying that, Rex signals to Evelyn to do the same thing again as she burns Hani’s corpse with the dark fire imbued with a sound wave again.
But unlike before, Rex steps to her side and touches her hand.
BLITZ!!
Rex added his sky black lightning mana into the dark fire as the combination of mana makes the dark fire has a spark of powerful black lightning in them alongside the sound wave.
It becomes very powerful that Hani’s corpse started cracking visibly,
Evelyn was surprised after feeling the power coming from the sky black lightning.
‘So much mana… I thought our gap becomes smaller but it’s not’, Evelyn thought.
While doing this, Evelyn’s attention was pulled away as she glance at Rex’s hand that is holding onto her hand making her face turns rosy red.
Although she knows that Rex is doing this just to help burn Hani’s corpse,
She can’t help but feel her heart beat faster as she looks down shyly, this makes her dark fire waver before Rex said, “Focus, just a little bit more”
‘How am I supposed to focus when you’re this close’, Evelyn thought with a reddened face.
This time about half a minute later, Hina’s corpse got burned to ash before Rex retracts back his hand from holding Evelyn’s hand.
Feeling that Rex pulls back his hand,
Evelyn looks at Rex’s hand unwillingly as it pulls away, she felt a sense of loss after Rex did that.
Rex noticed the weird expression on Evelyn’s face before he frown in confusion, “What’s wrong? We manage to burn the corpses”
“R-Right, let’s dump the remaining in the lake”, Evelyn added albeit stutteringly.
After dumping the ashes into the lake to bury the evidence, Evelyn wanted to leave but Rex suddenly grabbed her shoulder.
Evelyn glanced at Rex in confusion, “Rex? Did you sense someone?”
“Yes, it’s a powerful one and it’s already here”, Rex mumbles as he looks in a direction.
SWOOSH!
Out of nowhere, a man holding a big ax appears in the sky in front of them.
The man is floating with wind gales under his feet, he’s also very muscular almost the same size as Rex with bulging muscles that can be seen even under his green buttoned uniform, and after scanning the man Rex found that this Awakened is as strong as Hani.
Upon looking at the man, Rex and Evelyn wore their masks again.
“Let’s just pretend to be a passerby, it’s not worth fighting”, Evelyn suggested.
Hearing this, Rex deactivate his sky black lightning before he nodded his head and started to walk leisurely alongside Evelyn without even minding the man.
Seeing the two, the muscular man in the sky then called, “You two there!”
The man called Rex and Evelyn before he descend down from the sky.
Rex and Evelyn stopped in their tracks as the man landed in front of them, the man then looks at them inspectingly before he said, “You are both an Awakened”
“What happened here? Is this your doing?”, he added with apparent hostility.
Since the place is trashed and destroyed, it’s an expected question that came from his mouth.
When Rex was about to think of an excuse to leave this place since the white steam started to become more evident, Evelyn suddenly replied, “What do you mean?”
“Can’t you see behind you? I’m asking again what happened here?”, the man added.
Evelyn glance back with a confused look before she widens her eyes and covers her mouth, “I didn’t even realize the place is in this state, silly me”, she mutters.
Hearing this, the man squints his eyes again, “What are you hiding?”
“We’re not hiding anything, we just got here to find a secluded place. You’re an adult, so you must know what I mean”, Evelyn replied as she grabbed Rex’s hand pretending to be a couple.
The man frowns upon hearing this,
Since this part of the lake is quite far from the houses, this place becomes secluded with only a couple of lamps and a carved walking road to circle the lake.
But when the man was about to ask again, Evelyn intervenes, “Can we leave?”
“If we knew what happened here then we’ll certainly tell you but we don’t, and aside from that we’re in the middle of something so can you let us go and point us to the nearest hotel?”
Rex was surprised but his expression didn’t change as he didn’t mind and just followed along.
That is until Evelyn suddenly looks at him from the side and said, “Right babe?”, but while saying that, Evelyn is signaling to Rex something.
She’s pinching Rex’s arm while signaling something with her eyes.
Rex was confused for a moment before he realized what she meant,
Without any hesitation, Rex grabbed Evelyn’s waist and pulls herself closer to his, “I’m already at my limit…”, he whispers while leaning his face close to Evelyn.
Although she’s the one that asked for it, Evelyn was surprised by Rex’s sudden act.
But for the sake of looking believable, Evelyn smiles sweetly to Rex before she turns her head to the man in front of them that clearly feels uncomfortable by this.
Unable to stand here any longer, the man then finally said, “Fine, I’ll let you both go for now”
Hearing this, Rex and Evelyn nodded their heads before they walk past the man while Rex is still clasping Evelyn’s curvy waist pretending to be a couple.
Rex kept Evelyn’s body close to his while they were walking past the man.
It’s not the time to become excited, but Evelyn tries to hide her bashful face by looking down.
When Rex is right by the man’s side, he didn’t forget to tap the man on his shoulder and said with a smile, “Thanks!”
The man was silent upon hearing this,
‘Did that man really buys it? I’m surprised’, Rex thought while shaking his head.
But when they walk past the man, their movement stopped when Rex suddenly pushes Evelyn to the side as he immediately unsheathed his katana and blocks an incoming attack from the back.
CLANG!
Rex parried the two-handed ax heading towards him,
The force from the man swinging the ax pushed him a step back which shows the strength that the man had, “Are you mistaking me for a fool?”
‘Right… I thought so too’, Rex thought as he shakes his head.
After jumping back a couple of meters, Rex and the man stare at each other.
“Who are you? Are you the one that takes out Hani’s team?”, the man said with clear anger, he’s gripping the ax with both hands tightly while saying this.
Without even answering, Rex then said, “I don’t have the time so I’ll finish you off quickly”
“What did you say?!”, the man glared at Rex upon hearing this.
The confident look on Rex’s face greatly irritates the man as if he can really finish the fight quickly, and this makes the wind blows powerfully as the man activates his element.
Rex squints his eyes when he saw the Spirit Core on the man’s chest glows,
From just this alone, It’s clear that he’s going to use Spirit Shadow, but Rex won’t let him do that.
“Mystic Shock!”
BLITZ!!
“WHAT?!”, the man exclaimed in surprise when his body got electrocuted, he can’t use any mana thanks to that since there’s a strand of black lightning that keep disturbing his chant.
When Rex taps the man on the shoulder before,
Rex already puts a very little speck of Lightning Salvo on the man, and this allows him to use his Mystic Shock spell that can disturb and stun the man.
Since his element is still superior to the man, the spell did wonderfully.
“Are you okay?”, Rex asks while helping Evelyn stands up.
Evelyn’s eyes are not looking at Rex but rather looking at the stunned man instead, she was surprised that Rex manage to immobilize the man easily, “How did you do that?”
“Just a trick that I have”, Rex replied nonchalantly.
But he then turns to the man that is gathering wind mana crazily with bulging veins, “Although it stunned him, this spell won’t hold on for long”
“I happened to have something even better”, Rex added with a smirk.
He then points to the sky with his hand before his eyes started blitzing with sky black lightning, Evelyn can feel the enormous mana gathering in the sky while Rex is doing this.
Even the man stopped and looks up as he can feel the changes in the air,
This makes him even more desperate to expel the sky black lightning from his body, but it’ll take a moment since it’s a mid Ultimate Element a rank higher than his element.
RUMBLE!
Rex looks up to the sky before the smile on his face grows wider,
When he upgraded his element into the Sky Black True Lightning, Rex completed an achievement from the system and he got two rewards.
One of them is an Ultimate Spell,
“I’m going to try this on you…”, Rex mutters as the enormous mana got sucked up to the sky.
A couple of runic patterns appear just above Rex’s hands that are pointing up, the runes make a circle on top of Rex’s body and it started to get bigger by the second.
He then added after the rune is as big as a truck’s tires, “You’re not going to get out of this one”
ZONG!!
The runic circle above Rex started condensing smaller until suddenly,
“Ultimate Spell, Sky Imprisonment!”
CRACKK!!!
A huge wave of sky black lightning mana shot up to the sky like a ray of light.
Four black lightning strikes that take a dragon-like shape then descend down from the sky after the sky absorb the ray of sky black lightning mana.
The thundering sound is more like a mighty roar instead that makes the air vibrate.
It’s crushingly powerful that it flashes the entire sky, the man looks up before widening his eyes upon seeing the descending lightning strikes.
This greatly turns his expression pale,
Although it’s still up in the sky, the man can feel the heavy power behind them as he never felt something like this before, “T-This is not possible…”
But when the lightning strikes descend, the man manages to summon its spirit.
The spirit takes a shape of a human with a very big green ax, the tip of the ax has two roaring lions before the blades, but right after the spirit materializes,
ROAR!!
KABOOM!!
“AARGHHH!!”, the four dragon-like black lightning bites each of the man’s limbs.
They bypass the man’s spirit easily by destroying it as if it was nothing,
Evelyn’s legs went limp upon feeling the enormous power that was brought alongside the dragon-like black lightning, Rex has never failed to surprise her.
