“A Spell?”, Rex mutters in confusion.
Since he just grabbed Norman’s head, the system seems to scan Norman and detect a magical blockage that Rex is still unsure of.
But seeing the subtle grey energy on Norman’s head,
Rex concludes that the magical blockage should be the grey energy, he then asks for more detail about it from the system before another notification pops up.

A seventh rank magical barrier is created by infusing Unindra Grey Flower extract directly into the target’s brain and then activated by a seventh rank Mind Elementalist. It is a rare procedure to block the target’s memory since Unindra Grey Flower has mind manipulation ability and is a very rare mutated plant.
Upon reading the notification, Rex frowned as he didn’t expect this.
The plan was to kidnap Norman so that he can use Hans to do whatever he wants to get to Wesley, but upon seeing this notification Rex becomes curious about what this blocked memory is.
‘What is Hans hiding?’, Rex thought as he look at Norman curiously.
Evelyn who was about to leave stopped when she saw Rex didn’t move, “Rex? What are you doing?”, she asks in confusion.
But then, her phone rings as she saw notifications pop on the screen.
“We need to go! The Awakened from the Atkins family is heading this way, we don’t have much time”, Evelyn said hurriedly after seeing the notification.
Rex didn’t answer as he conjure a small Black Field Orko below him,
The Black Field Orko spell becomes even more terrifying as the black lightning tentacles that come out of the ground are filled with power, even Evelyn can sense it clearly.
It’s all thanks to the new black sky lightning Rex possesses,
Even with the naked eyes, Evelyn can see the black lightning tentacles has some sort of very subtle yellow current covering them.
Rex then let go of Norman as the black lightning tentacles grabbed him,
BLITZ!
Norman’s limbs got grabbed by the black lightning tentacles chaining him in place.
“RRAAGH!”, Norman shouted as his entire body got electrocuted, the subtle yellow current corrode his skin but Rex already controls it enough so it didn’t severe his limbs.
The pain is too much as Norman instantly passes out,
Looking at this, Evelyn frown before Rex then asks, “How many Awakened?”
“About five of them more or less, and one of them is from the Wind Knights!”, Evelyn replied.
Hearing this, Rex frowned in confusion, “Wind Knights? What are they?”
“The elite forces of the Wind Sorcerers Guild under Wesley Atkins, all of them have a minimum of peak sixth rank power and are heavily trained for combat. We should leave now!”, Evelyn added.
Rex frowned as he heard this, “Then let’s go, let’s get this kid back first”
But right after he said that,
“Huh?”, Rex widen his eyes when his surrounding suddenly melted and turned into a red substance, the smell seeping into his nose makes Rex frown warily.
There’s no mistaking the smell, “It’s blood…”, Rex mutters in an alert.
Then suddenly, Evelyn steps closer to Rex as she too also sees the surroundings melted into blood, “What’s happening? This is not a spell…”, she mumbles while looking around sharply.
Rex was surprised that Evelyn can also see this,
Although that person hasn’t come out yet, Rex already knows who is the one doing this.
This is definitely Calidora’s doing and since he’s linked with her, Rex thought that only he can experience this but turns out Evelyn can also see the surrounding changes.
Out of nowhere, a puddle of blood started merging and climbing higher.
Rex and Evelyn are looking at this scene marveling before the blood creates somekind of a mirror, and after the mirror is completed they saw a figure beyond the mirror.
The devilishly pale yet beautiful face makes Rex’s expression darken,
His aura is stirred as it started leaking powerfully making Evelyn jolted in surprise, this is not because of seeing Calidora but seeing the ones behind Calidora instead.
‘Rosie?!’, Rex screamed inside his head as his eyes widen in anger.
Veins started popping on Rex’s face and neck as he saw Rosie chained like an animal behind Calidora, it’s a sight that makes his anger start boiling like a volcano.

But right after the notification from the system appeared,

Rex felt his heart suddenly thumped hard as his eyes started bleeding while still looking at Rosie, his chest insides are hurting very much but he ignore this pain.

Just like that, the Super Berserk Quest got negated thanks to the curse.
“We meet again my dear Rex…”, Calidora greeted from the other side.
Hearing this, Rex clenched his jaw hard as his eyes kept bleeding blood before he replied, “Calidora… I’m telling you to release Rosie or you’re going to regret it”
“Oh… You’re scaring me”, Calidora replied teasingly pretending to be scared.
Upon hearing the familiar voice, Rosie lifts her head before her eyes widened.
Rosie’s eyes started to get teary as she saw the reflection coming from the blood mirror in front of her, the person that she’s been wanting to see so badly, “Rex…”
Hearing this, Calidora approached Rosie before she grabbed her face.
“She’s been dying to see you, Rex”, Calidora said to Rex while raising Rosie’s face forcefully, she then turns her head to Rosie and added, “Am I not kind to let you meet him?”
This makes Rex grit his teeth, “Rosie! Just wait fo-“
Before Rex can finish his sentence, Rosie suddenly disappears from the reflection making Rex’s eyes turns bloodthirsty, “Bring her back!! Right now!!”
“A…A…Ahh…”, Calidora mutters teasingly while waving her index finger left and right.
But the teasing smile turns into a smirk as she replied, “Your endeavor in the Supernatural territory is too brief a couple of days ago, I missed and longed for your blood”
“Why don’t you come out from the human territory and I’ll let you meet Rosie or even rescue her”
Rex frowns upon hearing this, it’s the fact that Calidora knows he went to the Supernatural territory that bothers him since it’ll make him unable to catch her in surprise.
Aside from that, he already knows that there’s a catch after her smooth words.
“Of course, that is if you agree to become my Werewolf pet. I want to chain you up and savor the blood coursing inside you, we’ll be happy forever!”, she added before licking her lips with a crazed look.
This makes Rex angrier but he held it in, “I will make sure you regret doing this…”
“Good luck with that. I’m glad you’re so motivated to meet me, I can’t wait to meet with you. But you don’t have much time so don’t take too long”, Calidora replied with a cheeky smile.
Hearing this, Rex frowned, “What do you mean by that?!”
“You really think I’m doing this because I’m kind? I’m touched…”, Calidora mumbles while covering her mouth as if she’s really surprised.
But she then added, “Rosie’s fate is nearing its limit”
“My parents are contemplating whether to use her as bait to lure you out or sacrifice her for the origin using her blood. But personally, I don’t think they will use her as bait anymore. The Werewolves have been searching for another Prince that just Awakened beside you. So it’s best to leave you alive, two princes will definitely destroy the Werewolves’ hierarchy without an Origin around”
Rex’s eyes widen upon hearing this, ‘The other prince… doesn’t that mean…’
Seeing Rex’s expression turn darker and darker by the second realizing what she meant, Calidora’s smile got wider as even her fangs poked out, “That’s a good expression of you”
“IF I KNOW SHE GOT SACRIFICED, I SWEAR I’M GOING T-“
Before Rex can finish his words again, the blood mirror turns liquid again.
The surrounding turns back to normal making Rex grinds his teeth filled with anger, his chest is heaving up and down rapidly as the adrenaline kicks in with his entire body steaming.
Just like what Calidora said,
Vampires just got the information and decided to leave Rex be since there’s another Prince of the Werewolf that just got Awakened, it renders the option of using Rosie as bait irrelevant in an instant thanks to that.
If using her as bait is irrelevant, then the other option becomes even more alluring.
After finding and deciding that keeping Rex alive is more suitable for their current situation, it’s best to use Rosie’s chosen blood as a sacrifice for the Origin.
They will definitely sacrifice her,
“Fucking Vampires…”, Rex mutters with a voice filled with hate.
Evelyn who saw all this unfold approaches Rex slowly, she stretches her arms to touch Rex’s shoulder but right after she touches Rex’s shoulder she suddenly jumped in fright.
Rex glance at her with animalistic eyes that are glowing red,
The eyes are not familiar to Evelyn, it’s not the eyes of Rex that she always see which makes Rex right now look totally different as she steps back in fear.
It’s not the eyes of a human anymore, these eyes belong to a predator.
Rex’s breathing is rapid and very rough as even the warm air he exhales is visible to the eye, his predator-like red eyes, and even his fingernails turn sharp out of nowhere.

After reading the notification, Rex turns his head away.
He’s trying to calm himself down as he steadies his breathing, the anger he felt upon realizing that Rosie’s situation is very dire thanks to the new Prince crazily overwhelms him.
Even now, Rex is having a difficult time calming himself.
The anger will not go easily,
Looking at this, Evelyn hesitates to approach him again since his eyes are scary.
But seeing that Rex is trying to calm himself down, Evelyn finally braces herself and approached Rex again before she slowly strokes Rex’s back with her slender hands.
The scent coming from her instills Rex with relaxing attributes,
This somehow helps him calm down as Evelyn stood by his side, she got closer to Rex as time passes until Rex’s breathing becomes steady again.
After a moment Rex then finally said, “I’m sorry for getting out of control like that”
“It’s okay, I can understand”, Evelyn replied while still caressing Rex’s back.
Evelyn was surprised to find that Rosie is in the Vampire’s hand, she doesn’t realize it before but now that she thought about it Rosie did disappear from the university out of nowhere.
After another half a minute, Evelyns stopped when Rex suddenly straighten his back.
Rex then looks outside the window where the moonlight shone brightly, he’s still angry but can manage now, ‘Although it hurts, I can still endure it’, he thought.
But then Rex looks at his body and activates his Lunar Blessing,
The Lunar Blessing still works as it amplifies his stats, there’s still about half an hour left on his Lunar Blessing Storage and this is plenty for Rex.
After knowing that he can still use the Lunar Blessing,
Crack!
Rex cracked his knuckles and his neck making Evelyn who stood on his side frown.
The devious expression that Rex wore right now makes Evelyn’s heart sink, she already realizes what that expression meant, “Don’t create a scene here, this is the Atkins Family’s sector and we’ll be surrounded if we’re reckless”
“I’m just going to test my new element”, Rex replied nonchalantly.
Although he’s fine right now, the anger inside him is still boiling and he will use the Atkins Family Awakened as a punching bag to relieve his stress.
This will also lower the Atkins Family’s power since one of them is the so-called Wind Knight.
But under Evelyn’s gaze, Rex then added heavily, “And let out some steam”
Seeing that Rex is stubborn and he seems to want to release his anger, Evelyn sighs, “For fuck sake, you’re like a baby”, she mutters helplessly as she tied up her hair using fire mana into a ponytail.
Rex looks at Evelyn with a smile, “You’re coming?”
“Of course I’m coming, I’m the one who will drag you back to retreat if the situation escalates”, Evelyn said with a pissed expression that makes Rex chuckle.
But his expression turns serious after that, ‘Rosie, wait for me’
After briefly talking, Rex unsheathed both of his swords before they then disappear from the room leaving the chained Norman behind.

Meanwhile, Somewhere outside of Ratmawati City.
Kyran got down from a train that just arrived inside a city, and from the looks of the city, it’s probably a third-level city or worse.
But he’s not alone, another guy got down too from the train.
If Rex is here, he will instantly know that the guy is none other than Evelyn’s brother, Kevin.
“Is this the place?”, Kyran asks from the side.
Hearing this, Kevin looks around before he nodded his head, “This should be the city, we just need to find a guy called Nofal Elebeskin, a local guard that likes to drink in a particular pub”
“Lead the way then”, Kyran replied before they both travels through the city.
About twenty or thirty minutes later, the both of them arrive in front of a crowded bar on the side of the street that is filled with people wearing plated armor with the city’s crest on their chest.
Kevin glanced at the city guards and finds that some of them is an Awakened,
But the weird part is that some of them have fifth rank power which should be impossible for this kind of city to have, it’s unnatural to see a fifth rank Awakened here.
“Is this the pub?”, Kyran points at the pub in front of him.
Kevin nodded his head but before he can say something more, Kyran suddenly added, “Wait here, it won’t take long”
Upon hearing this, Kevin was shocked, “Wait!”
“There is a fifth rank Awakened in that pub, we can’t do this recklessly!”, he added but Kyran didn’t bother to reply as he went straight to the pub and got inside.
Failing to remind Kyran,
Kevin can only wait across the street in worry, he saw a commotion suddenly start as the people inside the pub ran outside and even the light of the pub died.
It’s completely black from the outside, and Kevin can’t see anything.
After waiting a moment, Kevin was unable to hold himself together.
Reluctantly, he then walks across the street intending to check on Kyran fearing the worst.
It was hardly more than five minutes that he waited outside, but Kevin frowned when he didn’t hear anything coming from inside the pub as it was complete silence.
But he can hear a little mumbling as he opens the door,
Creak!
Kevin opens the door before his eyes widen in horror, “W-What?!”
The city guards that are just drinking and enjoying their lives are lying on the ground, some of them are knocked unconscious but Kevin was surprised to find that some of them are dead.
In fact, more than half of them are dead.
His eyes then darted to the corner of the room and find Kyran standing there.
Kyran is holding two daggers in his hands that are dripping with fresh blood from the people he killed, but the surprising part is that there is no expression on his face at all.
It’s as if the scene is normal for him, he’s very cold-blooded.
“I’m sorry… I’ll tell you everything so please just don’t kill me”, a person pleaded.
There’s a person kneeling in front of Kyran that is sobbing like a baby, he even rubs his hand together trying to plead for mercy.
“Kyran?”, Kevin called lightly from the side.
Hearing his name being called, Kyran glanced at Kevin nonchalantly standing on top of corpses before he said, “Nolan is not here, but this guy might know something”
A bead of cold sweat started to appear on Kevin’s forehead,
‘That’s the thing you explain first after killing these guys?!’, Kevin thought inside his head.
