Kevin looks at Kyran as he got goosebumps hearing what Kyran said,
The fact that he didn’t even mention why he killed these people is unsettling, it’s really as if Kyran doesn’t even care for these people’s lives.
Shaking his head, Kevin then approaches the guy.
“Please sir, we’re just told to keep our mouth shut”, the guy said while looking at Kevin.
His eyes are signaling to Kevin who looks more decent than Kyran to help him, and this makes Kevin sigh as he kneels beside the guy, “Who told you to be silent?”
“I don’t know… they’re all Awakened and we don’t have any choice”, the guy replied honestly.
Hearing this, Kyran frowned as his cold eyes look at the guy.
With a squint of his eyes, Kyran then asks, “How many are they, these Awakened you speak of?”
The guy tries to remember desperately counting in his head, he’s sweating profusely under Kyran’s gaze before he finally replied, “Eight of them sir!”
“When did these Awakened come?”, Kevin asks again.
Almost instantly, the guy then replied the best he could, “One month… or two months ago”
“Did they take Nofal with them?”, Kevin asks as he can’t find Nofal anywhere.
They’re here to meet a guy called Nofal Elebeskin who is a stationed post of the Luc Family, this Nofal is stationed here by Evelyn to keep an eye on the kid they’re after.
But it seems Nofal is taken out since he’s not here,
The guy then replied although stutteringly, “I- I don’t know”
Kyran’s dark mana gathers on his daggers, the dark mana makes the daggers reach sharper and further as he looks at the guy warningly.
“T-The last time I saw Nofal is with them, I swear that’s all I know!”, the guy replied.
Kevin stands back up after hearing this before he turns to Kyran, “It seems they still didn’t realize our plan, these Awakened must be the ones to keep an eye on the kid”
“It’s good then”, Kyran nodded his head,
He then glances back at the guy and asks, “Tell me where they are, or lose your life”
A moment later,
Both of them arrive in front of a mansion,
There’s a name carved in front of the mansion’s fence, from the look of the mansion it seems this mansion belongs to the mayor or another rich person in this city.
But the Awakened must’ve taken this mansion for themselves,
Kyran scans the entire building before he mutters, “There are 14 of them, 6 amongst them are Awakened while the other is probably a normal citizen of the city”
“How did you know that?”, Kevin asks in confusion.
All he can see is that Kyran looks at the mansion top to bottom, left and right before he suddenly deducted all of the people inside the mansion.
He didn’t even see Kyran use any spell which confused him,
Without replying to Kevin, once again Kyran then said, “Wait here, It’ll take a minute”
“No! I’m coming with you whether you like it or not”, Kevin replied, this time he will be coming inside since Kyran is cold-blooded and might just kill all of the people inside.
Including the normal citizen if he’s pissed off,
Shrugging his shoulders, Kyran then said, “Suit yourself, but don’t get in my way”
Swoosh!
Kyran got engulfed by the darkness of the night before he disappear from the place, this makes Kevin clench his jaw as he leaped the fence.
Meanwhile, Inside the mansion.
Chattering and laughter can be heard from the middle of the mansion.
Just like how it looked from the outside, the mansion is very big and quite luxurious that even the floor is covered by a red carpet with a golden chandelier lighting up the room from above.
A couple of half-naked women ran around the mansion playfully,
While a middle-aged man that is clearly drunk from how he’s moving is running after the women, it seems the Awakened here are having fun living in the city.
This is just one part of the mansion, the other parts are also the same.
But three Awakened are playing with the women in the middle of the mansion, the guest room while another Awakened is sitting on the sofa while reading a book.
“Abi! Don’t get too harsh on her or you’ll kill her!”, the man reading a book shouted.
He’s glaring at the guy called Abi who is cornering a woman on the wall while ravishing her with his mouth, the woman can be clearly seen hurting until Abi stopped after being called.
With a cheeky smile, Abi glance back at the man and said, “Stop being so stiff and lighten up!”
Instead of the man lighting up, Abi’s expression turns pale when he saw the man’s expression turn hideous glaring at him warningly.
“Alright alright! I’ll be gentle!”, Abi replied before turning his head away.
After reminding Abi to not hurt the woman, the man looks back to the book and started to read again but he suddenly frowns as he looks out the huge window beside him.
Outside of the window, he can somewhat see a shadow moving.
The man then stands up and throws the book on the sofa, he then walks toward the huge entrance before opening the door to check the outside.
Upon arriving outside, the man frowns when he felt an aura in the shadows.
“Who is there?! I’m not going to call you again, so step out of the shadow before I take your trespassing offensive and cut you down!”, the man said harshly.
But instead of an answer, there was only silence.
The man then takes out a gun from his back before he said once more, “I said, come out!”
Wind mana started to sizzle around the man’s body with a rune tattoo on the side of his face glows showing that he’s a fifth rank Awakened, the rune finished and the mana coming from him shows that he’s in the peak realm.
Even after waiting for a moment, the man finds that there was no answer.
The man then glances around before his eyes fall onto a shadow behind a decorative tree on the side, since the branches and leaves are carved into a circle it can be used as a hiding spot.
But the man can sense an aura from behind the tree,
Without a moment’s hesitation, the man then points to the tree and pulls the trigger.
BAM!
The bullet that came out was enhanced by wind mana that makes it travels faster, it takes only a fraction of a second before the bullet pierced the tree.
“Rrgh!”, a low grunt can be heard making the man frown.
Kevin already tries to jump out of the way but he’s too late, the bullet already pierced him.
Seeing Kevin come out from his hiding spot, the man then frowns, “Who are you…?”
“I can sense that you’re an Awakened of the same caliber, but you’re trespassing into the Atkins Family turf so I suggest you leave at once while I’m being nice”, the man added.
Hearing this, Kevin looks at his chest as if there’s a hole in it.
‘That bullet is fast, and from the looks of it this guy is an exceptional fighter’, Kevin thought.
Although the man is using a gun right now, his entire body emits a battle aura and with his muscular figure, it’s clear that the man is also a fierce fighter.
But before Kevin can answer,
“Hmm?!”, the man looks to his back as the hair on his back stood up.
Out of the shadow of the night, a figure literally came out of the shadow-filled with killing intent.
The man turns his torso immediately as he uses the gun to parry the dagger,
CLANG!
A spark was created from their collision, the man looks at the figure and saw the dark-cloaked daggers in the figure’s hands, “Dark Elementalist?!”, the man exclaimed in surprise.
The figure didn’t stop there,
He thrust forward the daggers in his hands with a push of his arms, but the man can still dodge them by twisting his body nimbly.
Just from this exchange alone, the man shows his exceptional reflex and battle sense.
The figure’s eyes then glisten with dark mana before suddenly, “What?!”
After the figure’s eyes glow with dark mana, the man suddenly felt his feet get sucked into the ground making him look down to the ground with a frown.
This is a deadly mistake, the man realized his mistake as he raises his gaze again.
But the figure manages to close the distance in a blink of an eye.
“Shit!”, the man cursed when he saw the figure is already right in front of him.
The man can only raise his arm holding the gun in retaliation as the figure dash past him, a glow of the dagger can be seen before the figure landed behind the man.
Kevin is watching this from the side, It’s Kyran the one that fought with the man.
Upon watching the fight, Kevin widen his eyes when he saw the man’s arm holding the gun suddenly fall to the ground as it got cut off cleanly.
Thud!
The man looks down and saw his arm severed, he grabs touch the bleeding painful part before he then looks at Kyran with fearful eyes.
Kyran is already looking at the man while tilting his head to the side,
Blood decorated the edges of the dark aura cloaking his daggers dripping on the ground, the dark mana started to invade the man’s body from his severed arm.
But before he can call for help Kyran already slit his throat swiftly.
Slash!
The man falls to his knees while holding his throat with his arm,
No matter how much he tries, there’s no sound coming out of his mouth as Kyran’s slash cut his vocal cords perfectly as if he’s trained in doing this.
The last thing the man sees is Kyran’s evil smile as his eyes started to become blurry.
Meanwhile,
The other Awakened are still having fun with the women without realizing that there are two intruders that manage to get inside the mansion ground.
The thick walls make the gunshot and the fight unheard of from the inside.
But then suddenly,
BOOM!
All of them jolted from their fun when the door suddenly got slammed open, a shadow flew past them as the shadow crashed into the Romanian white statue on their backs.
CRASH!
Abi looks back before his eyes widen to find a head rolling on the ground,
“I’m sorry to disrupt your fun night, but death is already calling for all of you”, Kyran said while standing by the door with a fierce look.
Hearing this, the Awakened froze on their spot in utter shock.
Kevin then appear from Kyran’s back before he looks at the women, “You ladies can get out!”
There’s a brief pause as they heard these, and when the situation kicks inside their heads the half-naked women then instantly grab their clothes and ran out hurriedly.
It’s clear that they will die if they’re dragged into this kind of situation.
Abi can feel that Kyran is someone he can’t mess with,
The dark mana sizzling around Kyran’s body makes Abi sweat profusely, and the rune on Kyran’s arm and thick mana show that Kyran is a peak fifth rank Awakened which is stronger than himself.
Aside from that, Dark Elementalist is known by many as evil people.
The dark element corrodes their personalities making them eviler than the other, it’s a well-known fact and this makes Abi even more fearful.
But then, he suddenly remembered something.
“D-Do you have any idea who you’re messing with!”, Abi shouted angrily.
He then points at Kyran before he added, “You’re going to die because of this, We’re from the Atkins Family and you just made a grave mistake for killing one of ours!”
“Atkins Family?”, Kyran mutters in disbelief.
Seeing this, Abi puffed up his chest as he said confidently, “That’s right!”
“We can still spare you if you grovel on our feet and apologize”, he added.
The other Awakened also supported Abi as they too can feel Kyran’s aura is stronger than theirs, but Kyran’s fearful expression brings their confidence back.
But out of nowhere, the fearful expression turns into a devilish smirk instead.
All of them steps back unconsciously as their body sensed danger when Kyran’s dark mana becomes stronger, it’s terrifying to even look at Kyran.
The swift change of expression also caught them off, guard,
With a devilish smirk, Kyran then said that makes all of their hearts skipped a beat, “I don’t give a damn whose family you’re from, only one of you will be alive in the next minutes”
Meanwhile, Faraday University.
After Rex left the room, Adhara went to the training ground and stayed there until night.
Instead of training inside the quiet room,
Adhara is currently inside the arena fighting against ten P-1 robots and a couple of P-1B robots that are equivalent to an early fifth rank with powerful physical powers.
She jumped around the arena dodging all of the robots’ attacks,
The precise movement of her footwork greatly pleasing to the eye as she counters the robots perfectly, but by the onlookers, she’s even faster than usual.
Some of the students that are training until late came to stop by and see her.
Not many of the students here can fight P-1B or even P-1, let alone fight more than a dozen of them at the same time so this is a fight to see.
But some of the students frown when they saw Adhara’s attacks hardly did a thing.
With her purple fire and fifth rank power, Adhara should be able to slice through these robots easily but her daggers didn’t cut through them.
It bounced off the robots’ armor upon contact,
Adhara spent almost more than ten minutes dodging the robots and counterattacks when she can but after dodging an attack that makes her somersault back.
One of the students realized, “It’s not possible…”
“Isn’t that wind mana?!”
Right after that student said that Adhara steady her breathing as she stood in the middle of the arena.
The purple fire started to blaze around her body like a blooming flower, but upon a closer look, there’s feeble wind mana that is starting to infuse into the purple fire making it more powerful.
It’s like fuel was thrown to a fire, that’s exactly what the wind mana does.
After focusing on channeling both elements, Adhara opens her eyes and saw the robots are already leaping toward her from all sides.
With a light exhale, Adhara’s eyes then burn with purple fire.
BOOM!
The entire arena got engulfed by purple fire as Adhara pushes her fire out, it was hotter than it used to be thanks to the wind mana infused into it.
All that is left after the fire receded were parts of the destroyed robots.
Each one of the robots got burned leaving only a few parts of them left, and this left a deep impression on the students upon looking at Adhara standing in the middle of the arena.
