I wanted this to be a surprise but with my error before, it’s not a surprise anymore.

“If I didn’t come back in a bit, leave this place”, Rex said slowly.
Hearing this, Dray and Evelyn realize the danger in their situation right now before Delta leaped away followed by Gistella to find a safe place to hide from the demons.
While Rex is looking at the rocky terrain warily, ‘They must be around here…’
‘My Supernatural sense is going off, and the scent is near here but it’s very faint. There are a couple of them…’, Rex thought as he started moving slowly.
This is one of the few times he can’t really sense a Supernatural’s location directly.
It’s almost trying to spot a ghost using normal human eyes, the building tension makes Rex’s back drenched with sweat since he doesn’t know how powerful these Demons are.
He doesn’t even know what kind of Demons they are,
‘Worst comes to worst, I’ll just create a big ruckus to attract the Cessation Knight here’, Rex thought before he nods his head.
The Cessation Knight is near this place,
Although he’s currently on a higher ground than the Cessation Knight camp, if Rex uses his Sky Rupture spell then they will instantly notice it and come to this place.
Step by step, Rex searches for any sign of the demons.
The place is very quiet as only the chirping of birds can be heard in the background, it should’ve been a great day but the arrival of the demons makes this a bad one instead.
Rex jumps around as he picks up his pace,
It’s been a few minutes and he can’t find any signs of the Demons, but he’s still sure that the Demons are here because his Supernatural sense is still getting off.
When he took a turn by jumping on a huge rock,
SWISH!
Rex’s eyes darted below and saw the sunlight bounce from somekind of blade, he activates his red force and punch the air to propel him to the side and dodge the blade.
“What’s that?!”, he exclaimed and looks to his back.
But there’s nothing on his back, there’s not even a trace of the thing that attacked him, ‘Just what are these Demons, Why are they here?’, Rex thought warily.
With the two swords in his hands, Rex stood at his spot and puts his senses on alert mode.
The Demons are very agile and move very quickly, and added with their faint aura makes them an extreme example of Kyran if he reaches higher rank and harnesses his power to its max.
Rex looks around and saw a couple of shadowy figures,
The shadowy figures dash left and right like a ghost, their bodies then disappear to the back of the surrounding rocks like a blur before suddenly,
Swish!
Rex dodge another attack grazing his cheek,
But the attack didn’t stop there when Rex suddenly saw a blade coming just after he dodged the first attack, he doesn’t have the time to dodge as the blade scratches his shoulder.
“Tcih! If that’s how you wanna play it”, Rex mutters fiercely.
One of the shadowy figures wanted to attack Rex’s leg from the back, but Rex sense this coming as he suddenly turns to his back in a blink of an eye.
The shadowy figure looks to be caught off guard,
With his Amuerus Katana imbued with red force, Rex swings his katana to punch the shadowy figure right on the head but then suddenly,
SWOOSH!
The shadowy figure suddenly becomes even faster,
BOOM!
Rex’s katana missed as it landed on the ground instead,
Before he even realizes it, the blade slashes the back of his knees but it didn’t manage to slit through thanks to his high endurance stat.
“They’re too nimble to catch…”, Rex muters while glaring at the surrounding.
Just after he tries to find the Demons whereabouts,
Three shadowy figures stepped out into his vision exposing their figures clearly for Rex to see, they certainly belong to the red demons race but Rex has never seen them.
The three figures’ body encompasses pure blackness,
Long black hair falls to their backs all the way down to their four tails, their skin is ashy white with a red crack all around their bodies, and their eyes are like the bleakness of the winter.
A mighty scythe lies on each of the figures that look very sharp and intimidating.
Even under the sunlight that should light up anything its warmth touches, these three figures in front of Rex were still shrouded by the darkness blocking the sunlight.
One noticeable feature the three of them have in common is the mark on their forehead,
Rex saw that there are three lines burning with demonic energy on their forehead, the mark looks to be some kind of demonic symbol but he was unsure.

Looking at the Demon’s stats, Rex finds that its agility is overblown compared to the rest of its stats especially the Endurance stat that is very low for a peak-sixth rank power Supernatural.
With Rex’s strength that reaches the four-digit mark,
If he can just land one hit on these demons in front of him, they will certainly die easily since their Endurance stat is half of Rex’s default strength stat.
‘But they’re too fast…’, Rex thought with a frown.
Turning into his Werewolf form might make him compare to their agility stat, but Rex can’t risk doing that since the Cessation Knights are near and if spotted he will be hunted.
It’s one of the reasons Rex accepted to bring Dray and Evelyn,
Since the place, he’s going is near the Cessation Knight, he won’t be able to turn into his Werewolf form and with the red serpent spirit location not too far,
Rex already deliberates this and finds that bringing the two shouldn’t be a problem.
Clenching both of his sword’s hilts tightly, Rex went into his battle stance as he needs to absolutely focus to track these Demons’ movements.
Before he can develop a battle plan in his head, the three shadowy demons dispersed as they started to attack Rex from all sides simultaneously.
SLASH!
Not far from Rex’s place,
Delta is leaving the place trying to find a spot for them to hide, they will lay low while waiting for Rex to come back after dealing with the Demons.
Although Rex has proven that he’s powerful from their mission here,
Evelyn and Dray can’t help but become worried since Rex doesn’t look as domineering as before, he becomes alert after realizing that there are demons in the area.
The demons are the most dangerous race for Rex,
Not only they are a Supernatural race that is born to fight, but they are also cunning just like how they outsmarted the UWO before breaching the Great Barricade and creating the strongholds.
It’s not a surprise if Rex takes the demons very seriously,
Out of all of the high-rank Supernatural races, the Demons are the ones Rex has to be wary of.
“He’s going to be fine, there’s no way Rex can’t handle this”, Evelyn mumbles to herself.
But Dray heard this as he replied, “Rex has fought demons before, so he should be fine. Knowing Rex, he won’t die that easily especially since he can even kill a seventh rank Undead”
Evelyn nodded her head after Dray calmed her down,
After they got far enough from where Rex is, the four of them finds a crack in the hill’s wall before they went inside it to wait for Rex to come back.
It’s a pretty decent place to hide since there are rocks covering the crack they’re in.
But just when they just wait there for about four minutes, Delta’s furs suddenly raise as she looks outside of the crack in distress while Gistella cast a white barrier to cover the crack.
This makes Dray and Evelyn frown but then suddenly,
Both of their eyes widen when they saw two furred creatures that appear out of nowhere in front of the crack they were in, no one would mistake the two creatures that suddenly appears.
Standing on two hind legs with muscular bodies,
There’s no mistake, the two creatures are definitely Werewolves…
Dray steps back in fear when they saw Werewolves suddenly arrive at the place, it’s very near the Cessation Knight so he’s very shocked to find many Supernatural around here.
But precisely because they’re near the Cessation Knight that the Supernaturals are many.
Evelyn reaches for Dray’s mouth with her hand and covers it, Dray was panicking since the Werewolves in front of them are powerful just from their aura alone.
Dray’s mouth is quivering but they need to remain silent,
The two Werewolves sniff the air as they stopped just in front of the crack they’re in, but the crack is pretty covered from the sunlight so it’s quite dim and secluded.
Gistella is eyeing the Werewolves warily,
She then cast a spell as white blinking little orbs dwindles around them before it dissipates, this spell masked their aura making it even fainter while Delta, on the other hand, ducked low to cover the others.
Delta is ready to bring the two to escape at a moment’s notice,
All of them turn their eyes away from the Werewolves,
Since the Werewolves have terrifying senses, looking directly at a Werewolf’s eyes is a bad idea since their senses are very sensitive.
The only thing they’re relieved about was the fact that it’s morning,
But then suddenly, the Werewolves sniff the air a couple of times before the bulkier Werewolf glance in Delta’s direction with its ferocious eyes.
This makes Dray and Evelyn’s hearts drop to their stomach,
“We’re spotted! What should we do!”, Dray whispers in panic, the Werewolves are looking directly at them which makes his back drenched in sweat.
The bulkier Werewolf then cracks a grin filled with killing intent,
Even with the decent hiding spot and even Gistella’s spell that can mask their aura, the Werewolves in front of them manage to spot them easily.
But just when Delta wanted to try to bring the others to escape the place,
BOOM!
Rex got blasted from the side as three shadowy figures follow him, he seems to be in a fight with those three shadowy figures as the others can see wounds covering Rex’s body.
It was shocking to see Rex is quite injured,
He didn’t even have a scratch on him when fighting those thousands of Undead, but against these three shadowy figures, he got quite injured.
Evelyn was in disbelief when she saw Rex is injured,
The confident feeling that Rex can handle this situation vanished right after she saw his condition, and there’s also the addition of these two Werewolves who are as strong if not stronger than the demons Rex is fighting.
But the wounds are healing though just as expected,
‘They hit the same spot multiple times, and I can’t hit them. This is frustrating’, Rex thought.
He got propelled back as he glared at the three shadowy figures that are like ghosts, but his eyes then got attracted to two Werewolves that are standing by the side.
This makes him widen his eyes in surprise, ‘Jarvald?’, he thought in confusion.
Landing a couple of feet beside Jarvald and Vivian, Rex stops his momentum by stomping on the ground before he somersaulted backward.
The sudden appearance of Jarvald and Vivian makes Rex frown,
He then looks to his back and saw Delta and the others watching from the crack, he then covers the crack with his body before signaling for them to run away with his hand on his back.
Without wasting a single second, the others mount Delta and leaped away.
But Gistella stays back as she saw Rex in a difficult situation, she got left by Delta and the others before she went out of the crack and landed right beside Rex.
“I told you to protect them”, Rex said lightly.
Hearing this, Gistella looks at Rex before she replied, “But master… you’re in danger”
Rex didn’t answer when suddenly one of the shadowy figures dashes at him so fast that it’s faster than a blink of an eye, it swings the scythe filled with demonic energy.
But when the scythe was nearing Rex,
CLANG!
There’s a bluish-white barrier that blocks the attack, Gistella already conjures a barrier in case something like this happens right after she landed beside Rex.
With Gistella here, Rex is relieved since these demons can’t penetrate through.
Gistella’s intelligence reaches 1200 points while the demons that are attacking them now only boast their agility, their strength is lacking so they won’t be able to penetrate the barrier.
Before the shadowy figure can attack again,
SWOOSH!
Jarvald out of nowhere appears right beside it,
With his huge hands that make the slender shadowy figure looks small, he grabbed the shadowy figure’s head without giving it time to dodge before he crushed its skull.
Crack!
Black smoke escape Jarvald’s hand as the shadowy figure’s body dimmed from its demonic energy, the shadowy demon died just like that.
This surprised Rex as he saw Jarvald’s movement is very fast,
After killing the shadowy figure easily, Jarvald then glance at Rex on his back and said, “You seem to be in a spot fighting these demons, let me help you”
“I don’t need your help”, Rex said as he glance at Gistella.
Knowing what he meant, Gistella’s hands glow with white energy as a barrier entrapped the other two shadowy figures on the spot as they were unable to break free.
Those two were surprised to see Jarvald and Vivian,
Gistella’s spell manages to catch them off guard as they got trapped inside the barrier, if they’re aware then catching them might not be that easy even with Gistella’s spell.
Thanks to the Aegis Enchanter Horn,
The barrier conjured by Gistella is not all white but it has a hint of blue instead, and this barrier was stronger than the last one with the addition of the Aegis Enchanter Horn she possesses.
Rex then dashes to both the shadowy figures as his eyes flash red,
Both swords in his hands glow with black lightning and red force before he slashes the two shadowy figures through the barrier and cuts them both into two.
It’s very hard to fight the shadowy figure since it’s very fast,
But with Gistella entrapping them inside a barrier that they can’t get out of, Rex can just tear through the barrier with an attack that they can’t possibly dodge.
Their stats are weak aside from their agility, so they died with one swing of Rex’s swords.

Both shadowy figures got slashed right on their stomach,
The slash on their stomachs emits black smoke that shrouded their entire body before their bodies fall to the ground lifeless, they got killed by a swing of Rex’s swords.
After killing the other shadowy figures,
Rex straightens his back after the notification from the system, he then looks back at Jarvald and Vivian with a questioning look, “Why are you here? Are we going to fight too?”
“Don’t be quite hasty my Prince, I have some news for you that I think you’d like to hear”
Jarvald exposes his fangs while saying this,
Gistella went to Rex’s side while looking at the two warily, Rex then looks at Jarvald straight in his eyes with a stoic expression, ‘He’s stronger than before…’, he thought trying to remain calm.
It’s evident from Jarvald’s movement earlier that he got stronger,
Rex looks down and finds that even Jarvald’s leg already recovered from the wound,

Rex saw Jarvald’s stats and find that he reaches the seventh rank realm, it’s not that long since the last time they met but Jarvald actually manage to increase in rank.
Vivian on the side also reaches the peak of the sixth rank, she also becomes stronger.
“What kind of news did you think I would like to hear? Don’t waste my time, we are enemies now”, Rex said intending to walk away.
But Vivian stopped him, “It’s about how to get rid of the curse”
Hearing this, Rex stops in his tracks before he slowly turns his head toward Vivian and Jarvald with a questioning look as he is certainly interested in the topic.
Looking at Rex being attracted, “The curse you have with the Vampire”, Vivian added with a smile.
This caught Rex’s attention as he looks at the both of them curiously,
Since the Eternal Curse he had with Calidora came out of nowhere, the system gave Rex a quest when the curse appear which told him to find a way to get rid of the Eternal Curse.
Rex still remembers it even now but he has no clue how to get rid of the curse.
“Tell me how to get rid of this curse”, Rex said demandingly.
But this makes Jarvald grin as he said, “If you want to know how to get rid of the curse, then you need to do us two favors. Are you willing?”
“Do you think I’ll fall for that? I can just find the method myself”, Rex replied coldly.
After saying that, Jarvald smiles mockingly exposing his sharp fangs before he said, “Oh I doubt about that, you don’t have the slightest clue of how to get rid of the curse aren’t you?”
“Speak of the favors, don’t waste my time”, Rex replied as Jarvald read him easily.
Rex succumbs to Jarvald as his tactic didn’t work, ‘It seems finding this information is very hard for him to actually be that confident, there’s also no reason for him to lie’
With that, Rex eyed Jarvald questioningly,
Hearing this, Jarvald then continues, “The first favor is to find a creature in the human capital city and bring it to us, this creature is a highly intelligent tiger monster called Rurvi. It’s very cunning and evil so it’s going to be hard to catch especially where it lies”
‘Rurvi? The name is familiar’, Rex thought.
“As for the second request…”, Jarvald mutters while rubbing his chin.
He then continues, “I wanted you to give me your bloodline but that’s a bit too much, so instead you’re going to help me take revenge on Bertolf!”
Rex thought for a moment as he kept eye contact with Jarvald,
‘Bertolf should’ve been that Werewolf he fought in Zrolis City. I also wanted to kill that stinking Omega that I fought, should I just accept this?’
After a moment of deliberation, Rex then nodded his head, “Fine, I’ll help you but it’ll take time. Now tell me how to erase the curse”
“You’re being too hasty again…”, Jarvald mutters.
Vivian then added from the side, “We’ll tell you the information after you finish one of the favors we asked, until then you can just keep wondering”
