“We’ll tell you the information after you finish one of the favors we asked, until then you can just keep wondering”, Vivian said from the side.
Hearing this, Rex clenched his jaw before he exhales roughly.
Jarvald then glances at the dead demons before he said, “You’re lucky that they sent you the third inner demon, if they sent you the second or first then we might not stand a chance”
“Third inner demon?”, Rex mutters in confusion.
Looking at Rex’s confused look, Jarvald then said, “The mark on their foreheads means that they’re from the third inner demon, these demon assassins are called Executioner Tyro”
“It’s one of the legions of the Red Demon”
“They’re directly taught by the Ancient Humans to become assassins, and they compromise of three sections which are first, second, and this one the third Inner Demon. If you by any chance meet the first or second, just forget about fighting them if you haven’t reached the peak seventh rank power”
Rex frowns as he listens to what Jarvald said, ‘Ancient humans…’
“We’re going to stay near the place where we meet the Vampires, if you finish one of our favors then you can come to find us there”, Jarvald said lightly.
He was intending to leave but then suddenly his eyes landed on Gistella,
Jarvald sniffs the scent coming out of her a couple of times before he turns his body to Gistella, “You must be the newest beta of the Prince, I can smell our scent from you…”
After saying that, Jarvald turns into a blur and reappears in front of Gistella.
This makes Gistella step back in terror since she can hardly react to Jarvald’s movement even though it’s in the morning, “But something is weird about you, I can feel it…”, he added.
Jarvald looks down to his throat and finds Rex is already pointing his silver sword,
Although Gistella can’t react to Jarvald’s movements, Rex can see it clearly since Jarvald is not as fast as the demons before as he already pointed his silver sword at his neck.
“You continue to surprise me, every one of your betas is not normal”, Jarvald mutters.
He then turns to his back before walking away slowly, Vivian followed after him as he continues, “The demons coming after you show that they are aware of your existence”
“You need to be careful, it’s not ideal for both of us if you got captured”
Hearing this, Rex nodded his head as he too realizes that the demons won’t send assassins like this if they didn’t know of his existence.
It’s clear that they’re working with the Vampires to get rid of Rex,
Jarvald glances back at Rex with a complicated look before he turns away, but Rex suddenly said, “You got stronger, if I know you’re devouring humans left and right I will come after you”
“Don’t be mistaken, I don’t want any of the humans’ attention focused on me”, Jarvald replied.
Rex nodded his head but then suddenly, Jarvald added, “It’s thanks to you that we manage to become stronger, you are the Prince of Werewolf after all”
After saying that, both of them dash away and left the place.
‘Thanks to me…?’, Rex thought in confusion.
He already knows that he possesses the royal bloodline of the Werewolf, he didn’t know what Jarvald means by that but he then suddenly widens his eyes in realization.
Rex looks in the direction where Jarvald left before he mutters, “It’s the Silverstar Howl…”
When Rex finishes the Pack Quest in Carabidis Temple, he obtained the Silverstar Howl skill from that quest which can empower Adhara and Kyran.
He uses the skill right before he met Jarvald and Vivian,
Although it sounds like the howl only affects Rex’s pack, it seems that is not the case which is proven by what Jarvald said.
Jarvald and Vivian are near when Rex howls, so there are no other explanations.
That is if Jarvald didn’t lie and really didn’t kill humans though, ‘I remember your scent now, you’re dead if you lied to me’, Rex thought with a contorted look.
But his train of thoughts was interrupted,
“Master… You know of those two Werewolves?”, Gistella asks from the side meekly, she has already taken down the barrier wrapping around them after Jarvald and Vivian left.
Hearing this, Rex then replied, “We fought together against the Vampires, but that’s just it”
After saying that, Rex and Gistella dash away when they both sense multiple auras are approaching their place from their backs.
It’s the Cessation Knight, they seem to sense the fight Rex had with the demons.
Meanwhile, right after Jarvald and Vivian dash away,
They stopped not far from where Rex and Gistella were as Vivian glanced at Jarvald with a frown, “Are you sure this is the right choice? You don’t want to proceed with our first plan?”
“Didn’t you sense him too? He becomes so strong in a short amount of time”, Jarvald replied.
He then glance back in the direction of where Rex and Gistella were before he added, “Gaining his bloodline might just fulfill my dreams but didn’t you see what the others did…”
“What the other races did in response to a Prince awakening?”, he mutters slowly.
Jarvald clenched his jaw angrily as his body trembled, but Vivian still has a reluctant look on her face, “We’re practically exiled, Bertolf damned us and you’re still thinking about them?”
Vivian’s words make Jarvald glare at her fiercely,
“We’re exiled from the kingdom but we’re not exiled as a Werewolf, the Origin is watching us and you’re saying that I should force my dreams and take the power of the fated one like the Prince?”
“I was blinded by greed and revenge at that time, but not anymore…”
This makes Vivian looks down contemplating,
Jarvald then added, “I might not be able to become King, but taking revenge on Bertolf and Zegrath takes priority. If we play our hands right, we might even be a King’s equivalent…”
Back to Rex,
Rex went back as it didn’t take long to search for Delta,
Delta’s scent is already engraved on Rex’s sense so it’s not hard to find her, she’s hiding a couple of miles away from where Rex met with Jarvald and Vivian before.
“Rex!”, Evelyn shouted when she saw Rex approaching them.
She ran and stopped in front of Rex while looking at his body in concern, “You’re wounded! They’re still bleeding!”, she exclaimed in surprise.
Not only Rex but Gistella is also wounded from the encounter,
‘If I came back with no injuries fighting the Demons and the Werewolves, Dray might be suspicious’, Rex thought as he glance at Dray who is also approaching him.
Evelyn knows that he’s a Werewolf so it’s not a problem for her,
But Dray on the other hand doesn’t know that he’s a Werewolf, so after meeting two powerful Werewolves while simultaneously fighting the demons, it’s expected for Rex to get injured.
“I’m fine… I manage to escape from the Werewolves”, Rex said with a slight smile.
After they all united again, they then went back to the secret route as they head back to Eqosa City to prepare for their departure back to Ratmawati City.
Thankfully, nothing happened during their journey back.
A couple of days later,
Since the teleport formation in Eqosa City is broken because of the attack from the Supernatural, Rex and all of the other descendants were forced to go to the nearest city that should have their teleport formation working.
It takes about a day or so for them to reach this city,
The city has better treatment than Eqosa City so the other injured descendants are treated here, and this gives Rex a perfect time to go to Wedron City to finish the quest for Adhara’s spirit.
Another day was spent as Delta dashes towards Wedron City,
Only Delta and Gistella are the ones that follow Rex to Wedron City, this shouldn’t take long since Rex needs to get back to the others as soon as possible.
The citizen in Wedron City as before accepted Rex with open arms,
But Rex only come here for one reason only, so he immediately went to the big tree that gave him a blessing in the form of a quest to get the fire serpent spirit.
Arriving under the big tree, the sun is almost drowned as the sky is shade in orange,
Rex finds that the big tree is as big as before with its branches and lush leaves that can even block the sunlight from seeping through, it’s comfortable to stand under the shadow of the big tree.
But although it looks the same, Rex finds some changes that he spotted.
The withered leaves can be seen scattered around under the big tree which creates piles, and upon touch, Rex can feel that the tree is not as sturdy as before.
‘If I left this tree, it might topple over in a bit’, Rex thought.
Without wasting any time, Rex takes out the Spirit Soulstone from the inventory.
He brought the Spirit Soulstone that contains the fire serpent before he cracked it with his hand, and right after that, the fire serpent got freed from the Spirit Soulstone as it bares the might of its spirit energy while glaring at Rex.
It was angry with Rex for forcing it to enter the Spirit Soulstone.
But the fire serpent’s spirit movements stopped,
The fire serpent’s spirit glances back as it senses the fire core and saw the big tree on its back, it can feel the fire core inside the big tree reacting to the fire serpent’s spirit energy.
In a blink of an eye, the fire serpent started wrapping its body on the big tree.
Rex can feel the fire core got rejuvenated from almost breaking apart as the fire serpent fueled it with its energy, and it didn’t take long before suddenly,
SWOOSH!
It happened in front of Rex’s eyes,
The big tree that is lush and green suddenly burns with fire, its original appearance turns into a fiery tree that continuously pumps fire mana to the surrounding.
Even the big tree that now turns into a fiery tree started to bear fruits,
Just like the fruit that Rex saw from the silk-cotton tree before, this fiery tree in front of him also bears the same fruit but Rex can feel that this fruit contains much more fire mana.
After scanning the fruit, Rex notices that the fruit increased in rank.
The fruit was a fourth rank mutated fruit, but now it turns into a fifth rank mutated fruit enhancing its fire mana content for anyone that consumes it.
It’s almost astonishing to see such a gorgeous mutated fiery tree,
Fiery leaves blaze dance around vigorously, and the trunk of the trees turns into a shade of red, but the surrounding trees are not affected unlike before.
The fire core inside the tree stops the fire mana from rampaging around,
Even though logically speaking the fire should’ve crept to the surrounding trees and burned them, this didn’t happen as the fire core contain the fire mana and spirit energy.
Rex and the others were mesmerized while looking at this fiery tree,
“Oh my god! What happened to the tree…”, priest Herman, the mayor of Wedron City exclaimed from the back making Rex glance at his back.
The scene surely attracts even the eyes from inside Wedron City,
Since the big tree can even be seen from the inside of Wedron City, this phenomenal occurrence will surely be spotted by the citizens there.
Hearing this, Rex smiles lightly as he said, “This is the original look of the big tree”
“It’s been dying for years from the lack of fire mana in the surrounding, but now that I restored it this big tree has turned back to its original form. The fruits can help the city, it’s a mutated fifth rank fruit that can help Fire Elementalist”, Rex explained.
Although it’s unintentional, this fiery tree can help Wedron City.
Since Wedron City is a measly third-level city, they’re not developed enough and even the UWO wanted to abandon the city if not for the problem they had with the SCO.
But with this, the city can have a business in selling these fruits.
“I don’t know how to repay you… you’re the savior and the lucky charm of our city!”, priest Herman said while holding the necklace cross he wore, he was thanking Rex in his heart.
Just hearing that the fruit is a fifth rank mutated fruit makes his body jolted,
Even some second-level city is sufficient to keep the city running and prosperous by selling fourth or even third rank mutated plants or fruits, but this is a fifth rank mutated fruit!
This alone will definitely put Wedron City in high standing,
If treated properly with extreme calculation and thoughts, Wedron City might even reach the first-level city equivalent although they’re quite far from Ratmawati City.
Rex smiles upon realizing this,
‘It’ll help the city out, I just need the fire serpent spirit’, Rex thought as he looks back to the fiery tree, he waited for the fire serpent spirit to finish developing to the dry-out big tree.
A moment later,

The big tree burns with fire brightly as the fire serpent spirit finished fueling the city with its energy, it noticeably becomes stronger too thanks to the process.
‘I thought spirit can’t get stronger aside from getting older’, Rex thought.
Hearing this, Devo scoffed and replied, [We can’t, that fire serpent only returns back to near its strength not actually getting stronger than before]
After finishing the process, the fire serpent glance at Rex.
It was looking at Rex with a new light,
The fire serpent spirit then proceeds to eat half of the fifth rank mutated fruit before fire mana gathers in its mouth, just like what Rex has seen in his vision from the big tree blessing.

Another smaller fire serpent spirit got out of its mouth,
Rex saw the little fire serpent spirit and finds that it was a baby fire serpent spirit, it has feeble spirit energy but it’s nonetheless a spirit.
The fire serpent spirit puts the baby fire serpent spirit on the top of the fiery tree,
It then concentrates the spirit energy it had and gives it to the baby fire serpent spirit, and under Rex’s eyes, the baby fire serpent spirit got bigger and stronger.
But this comes at a cost that the fire serpent spirit becomes weaker,
After doing that, Rex bought another Spirit Soulstone again as the fire serpent spirit went inside it again but this time it’s voluntarily unlike getting suppressed by Devo like before.

Rex looks back to the citizen before he also waves his hand as a goodbye, his eyes then landed on the far away fiery tree before he thought, ‘Fire Elementalist will go crazy for that’
