A flash of lightning zipped past Rex’s vision hitting Intuma which is charging at him like a raging bull, the lightning knocked Intuma back even though Intuma is on its guard.
The white lightning surprises Intuma since it was not expecting to get attacked like this.
After knocking Intuma back, the white lightning materializes into a hulking figure as big as Intuma that is growling menacingly exposing its sharp teeth.
Rex looked at this figure before a smile crept onto his face, ‘Just about time’
‘Delta…’
The white lightning turns out to be Delta who is supposed to just finish evolving, her appearance change so much that Rex almost hardly recognizes her.
If he was to meet Delta now in the wild, he might not realize that it is her.
ROAR!!
Delta’s roar was long and powerful making the surroundings tremble, all eyes are cast onto her no matter if it was the Undead army, the descendants, or even the black hands.
All of their attention was pulled to Delta, she was a magnificent sight to see.
Now that Delta has finished evolving, she looks way more menacing than she is before.
She is now way bigger than her previous self standing almost as tall as Intuma, her white fur becomes denser almost making her look like an oversized arctic wolf.
The black stripes on her body make her look similar to a tiger.
Her claws and fangs are longer and thicker making them look more terrifying than before. Delta’s eyes also turn silvery in color, with a shade of red color around the area on her paw and mouth.
Not to mention the bones sticking out of her front legs and shoulders.
It’s certainly due to the fact that Rex also gives him the Gebbo’s Bone Essence,
Rex finds it surprising that Delta becomes this terrifying, he then scans Delta before he realized that Delta becomes way stronger, ‘Peak sixth rank, that’s more than expected’, Rex thought.

Upon looking at Delta’s stats, Rex found that her stats surpass the strong Undead’s stats that he fought against before even though their stats are amplified by the surrounding death energy.
Delta surpassed their stats, not by much, but she still surpasses their stats!
But without any amplification of power from the surrounding death energy, Delta surpasses their stats by a notch which shows she not only become way more powerful than before but her power also puts her in the middle tier of a peak sixth rank realm.
She even got some points in intelligence stats thanks to the Hallowed Lightning.
Rex steps forward lightly before he stops beside Delta who is still growling menacingly at Intuma, he then taps the side of Delta’s head making her silver eyes glance at Rex.
With a smile, Rex then asks lightly, “Are you ready?”
Hearing this, Delta growls lightly responding to Rex’s question which makes Rex’s smile wider.
Both of them are looking at each other with a meaningful look before their gazes went to Intuma who stepped back unconsciously, worried about the arrival of Delta.
Rex and Delta then quirk up a smile sending chills to Intuma,
But this time it’s not a chill of anger, but chills of worry or even fear instead.
“Let’s kill this deadbeat of an Undead”, Rex said as his body started blitzing with black lightning.
Delta on the side also follows the same as her body sparks with white lightning, the two different lightning subtly collide with each other before suddenly.
BLITZ!!
Two different streaks of lightning headed towards Intuma,
White and black lightning intertwine with each other like a coiling snake, both of the lightning were so fast that it takes a fraction of a second to appear beside Intuma.
ROAR!
Intuma roared powerfully while readying itself to block the two incoming streaks of lightning, but its vision suddenly fazes as the two streaks of lightning collided with him.
BAM!
“Raarghh!”, Intuma grunted as its body got flung back.
Rex and Delta didn’t stop as they started attacking Intuma from all sides, their movements are lightning-fast and this overwhelmed Intuma who is having a hard time blocking all the attacks.
From the viewer’s point of view,
A white and black streak of lightning intertwine with each other attacking Intuma relentlessly.
Just a couple of seconds into the fight, Intuma’s body started to be filled with wounds as its power started to dwindle by the second.
Rex kept swinging his swords without pausing,
While Delta uses her strengthened claws to rip chunks of Intuma’s rotten flesh, black blood started to be spilled into the surroundings as Intuma is unable to keep up with their speed.
Although Intuma has perfect vision, fighting two lightning-fast opponents is too much.
Even with its reaction speed that is as good as Rex and added with its rich battle experience, Intuma’s body was just too slow to deal with two nimble and fast opponents.
The Undead who are looking at Intuma being overwhelmed started to tremble,
Seeing that their leader who is also the strongest amongst them gets slashed down slowly, the unwavering fear grips the Undead who has a bit of intelligence in their heads.
They realize that their company is doomed with their leader on the way to its death.
Some surviving liches and other higher-ranked Undead started fleeing silently, while the zombies and ghouls that have little to no intelligence covered their tracks by keeping on the fight.
Crack!
Delta bites Intuma’s shoulder powerfully, a cracking sound can be heard as Intuma’s sturdy bones crack under Delta’s jaw strength.
Intuma wails in pain as it can feel its own body losing strength,
With a twist of Delta’s head, Intuma’s huge body got flung into the air like a sack of meat.
Rex then appeared out of nowhere with both swords ready, black lightning and red force crackles on his swords before he swung them with all his might.
Looking at this, Intuma widens its eyes and conjures a protection spell around its body.
BOOM!
The powerful swing slammed Intuma to the ground as the ground trembled, and the protection spell that Intuma just chanted got destroyed easily.
It can’t handle Rex’s powerful swing as its body got crashed to the ground.
‘Let’s try the new skill I got’, Rex thought as he activate the new skill which he received from merging Whiro’s necklace of fear and Amulet of Sorrow.
Rex points his hand as glows with a red wicked aura, “Decimation Fervor!”
SWOOSH!
Upon using the skill, Rex saw hundreds of red souls coming from all around him and started to charge at Intuma who is already lying on the ground weakly with a broken body.
Its bodies are astral with hardly any noticeable feature, they look more like bodiless ghosts.
The red souls clawed Intuma fiercely forcing a painful roar out of Intuma’s mouth.

Reading the system notification, Rex was quite surprised.
The wicked aura skill from Whiro’s necklace of fear only grants him an enhanced fearsome aura, and he doesn’t know what the new skill malefic from Amulet of Sorrow can do.
Since he instantly merges the two skills together, Rex still doesn’t know until now.
That is why seeing the system’s notifications greatly intrigued Rex, but he puts that aside for now as he kicks the air using red force to propel him at Intuma.
Rex saw that the red souls went inside Intuma’s body,
Intuma then started to wail on the ground while clawing its own head as if being possessed, Intuma didn’t even put on its guard as Rex was about to stab him.
With both swords at hand, Rex stabbed them right on Intuma’s chest.
He didn’t wait for Intuma to regain consciousness as he gave Intuma a decisive attack.

Rex’s thrust unconsciously lands directly on Intuma’s deathcore killing it instantly, he nodded his head when the system’s notification appear giving him quite a hefty amount of exp.
After killing Intuma, the rest of the Undead are easy pickings.
Twenty minutes later,
“Good job Delta”, Rex praised while patting Delta’s head.
While patting Delta’s head, Rex glanced at Intuma’s corpse, ‘What were those red souls? That’s really ominous’, he thought with a frown.
The red souls look bizarre and they all bore somekind of hatred for Intuma.
Rex can tell because of how the red souls roar at Intuma who is wailing on the ground before he struck Intuma dead, it’s clear the red souls resent Intuma.
But he then decided to check the skill description later,
Rex walks back alongside Delta to the descendants and black hands,
Evelyn and the others look at Rex in awe but Rex realized that their gazes are directed to Delta, and he couldn’t blame them since Delta is very different than before.
She even manages to reach the peak sixth rank, her presence alone is heavy.
“Congratulation Rex, it seems your Zeragon Pet has evolved successfully”, Dray said from the side with a wide smile congratulating Rex.
The others also soon follow making Rex wave his hand
Liliya then approaches Delta hesitantly before she glances at Rex and asks, “She’s gorgeous, will she bite if I pat her too?”
“Go right ahead, she knows you so it’s fine”, Rex replied.
Seeing the others react normally without mentioning the red souls appearing out of nowhere, Rex frowned as he thought, ‘Did they not see that?’
But then Rex’s attention was pulled to Dray’s back as he asks, “How are the others?”
Upon hearing this, Dray looks back to the place where Morana and the other healer are tending to the wounded descendants and black hands using their spells.
Some of the black hands are also injured badly,
When Rex said badly he means really bad, some of them lost a couple of limbs and have their skins corroded with death energy.
Fighting thousands of Undead is still a heavy task,
Rex didn’t expect this to go so badly, he looks around and finds that everyone is tired not excluding himself who exert more energy to take down Intuma.
Even Gistella is looking tired standing on the side,
‘That fight must’ve exhausted them all, it’s an army of Undead against a handful of us so it’s to be expected’, Rex thought with a sigh.
Just looking at this scene makes Rex realizes the ridiculousness of the mission,
The UWO told the descendants and the SCO to take out five companies of Undead consisting of thousands of Undead, it was more like 1 person against 500 Undead.
But Rex is thankful nevertheless since he found none of them died,
Even the weakest of his team survived, the woman only has a few injuries around her body.
Rex then approaches Morana who is tending the wounded and saw that her spell is working slowly, it’s clear that her mana is exhausted since the death energy is also fighting back.
He also found Evelyn leaning weakly by the side, the fight takes a huge chunk of her stamina.
The descendants and the SCO are not like him who has the regenerative ability and super stamina, they need at least a day or two before taking out the next company.
Especially since Rex knows what leads the next company of Undead,
Although Rex doesn’t want to admit it, the next company will be even harder to deal with compared to Intuma’s company.
‘I don’t think this team can survive fighting the next Undead company’, Rex thought.
He then looks at the far end to his side where the forest lies before he frowns, ‘Should we wait for Gerrard’s team? No… their team might be in a similar state’
With that, Rex told the descendants and the SCO team to rest for now.
“Should we go back to the city? The other company might just come here and attack us”, Dray said in worry, the company that Seve found is not far from here.
There might be a chance that they will attack the vulnerable descendants and black hands.
But hearing this, Rex shakes his head determinedly, “You don’t have to worry about that, they won’t come here so just rest here”
Dray was skeptical for a moment but he eventually nodded his head.
“I’m going to be there for a moment, call me if something happened”, Rex points at a huge rock on his left before he walks away with a frown on his face.
Gistella saw this as she also follows Rex to the side.
Just from Rex’s expression alone, Dray can see that something is in Rex’s mind.
After about six hours after the fight against Intuma’s company, the descendants and black hands are resting as the wounded fall asleep.
The better ones keep an eye for any wandering Undead,
While they are resting from the fight they had, Rex is sitting on a huge rock unmoving while looking in the direction where another city lies.
It’s the place where Seve found the other Undead company,
Rex is looking at the city with a thinking mind before he glances at Gistella who is sitting beside the rock below, “How powerful is the leader again?”
“She’s a mid-sixth rank, master…”, Gistella replied.
Hearing this, Rex dwells inside his head again trying to find a way to meddle through this situation without having any casualties.
Although the leader is a mid-sixth rank, that is not the main problem.
Gistella confirms that the leader of the next company of Undead is a mid-sixth rank Rusalka that is adept in trap spells, but what concerns Rex more is the presence beside the Rusalka.
‘They are turtling since they have a Rusalka and an Enchanter’, Rex thought.
The presence standing beside the Rusalka is an Enchanter, a being that is revered by all of the Supernatural thanks to their wide range of buff spells.
An Enchanter is essential during the war, and they are also the most guarded.
From the information he got, Rex concluded that the Enchanter is staying with the Rusalka just to buy time until the reinforcement arrives.
The buff spell from the Enchanter and the trap spells from the Rusalka is a deadly combination.
Rex glanced to the Eqosa City direction that still can be seen from here up on a hill before he thought, ‘They’re planning to attack Eqosa City with the Werewolf reinforcement, having an enchanter will surely seal the destruction of Eqosa City’
‘We need to do something’, he looks down with a sigh trying to think of a solution.
Another hour passed as Rex meditate on the huge rock,
Gistella is also recovering her mana but she suddenly opens her eyes when she senses that Rex moved, she looks up at Rex before she saw Rex standing with wide eyes.
“What’s wrong master?”, she asks in confusion.
But Rex didn’t answer her as his eyes kept getting wider, an evil smirk then appears on Rex’s face before he jumped down landing beside Gistella.
Gistella is looking at Rex in confusion,
The evil smile on Rex’s face is evident as he just thought of a nasty plan that is plausible and has a high chance to work, “Let’s go back to the others”
“I’ll kill that Enchanter this night myself”, he added grinning mischievously.
