He then glance at Gistella and instructed, “Protect anyone that you thought is in danger”
Gistella heard this before her eyes glance at the charging army of Undead, there is a hesitant look on her face but she eventually nodded her head obediently.
It’s been hours since Rex turned him, her expression can be read easily.
Rex saw through her expression as he looks at Gistella, ‘This fight will help her accept the fact that she’s not an Undead anymore’, he thought while looking at Gistella.
After looking at Gistella, Rex focuses back on the charging army of the Undead.
“Here, use this before you do anything reckless”, Liliya suddenly said from the side.
Liliya touches Rex’s back before a red mark appeared on his back, a notification from the system soon follows after the red mark appears.

‘Her red mark surely got stronger, the last time is only a 20% increase’, Rex thought.
He then nodded his head before he readies himself,
The ground started to rumble as an army of more than a thousand Undead near them, this sight of the charging army of Undead will give nightmares to any normal humans.
Some of the descendants are even shaking, it’s a horrifying sight, to say the least.
All of the Undead fixated their eyes on Rex and the others,
Even when their comrade got blasted and got disintegrated into nothing and killed them, the other Undead didn’t bat an eye as they kept charging at Rex and the others.
There is only one thing in their minds, and that is to kill the humans in front of them.
Closing the gap between them intending to rip Rex and the other’s flesh was all they could think of, nothing fazes them from this thought as it excites them to the core.
And this is why many Awakened fear fighting the Undead,
Aside for them being walking dead with entangled bodies filled with horrifying stench, the more major reason is that they don’t feel pain, unlike others.
Stabbing them will not hinder them, they need to be killed properly.
Rex’s eyes spark with black lightning as his body turns into a streak of lightning, he’s charging to the army of Undead with his two swords spread to the side.
The descendants and even the black hands stopped upon looking at Rex.
Even in front of the mighty army of the Undead, Rex charges straight on without any hesitation.
There is no hint of fear in his eyes, Rex charges through the Undead like a cutting edge sword piercing through the army of Undead mercilessly.
SWOOSH!
Rex and the army of Undead collided but the ones sent flying away were the Undead, Rex on the other hand kept charging forward knocking any Undead that meets him.
The Undead that got hit by his silver sword or even Amuerus Katana got sliced in half.
But hacking the Undead one by one will take too much time, the two swords Rex is holding start to glow red as Rex imbued them with red force.
Instantly after that,
The Undead that has a power below the fourth rank was neutralized as they can’t move their bodies, the presence of the red force paralyzed them.
Added with the Alpha Bearing skill, the lower rank Undead has no chance.
SWISH!
Rex swings both of his swords in a horizontal manner sending two arcs of red force.
The two crescent arcs made of red force destroy any Undead that got hit by them, every time he swings his swords many Undead die.

Dozens of notifications appeared in Rex’s vision as he hacks through the army of Undead, the system makes the notifications smaller and even puts them on the bottom left of his vision.
This greatly helps Rex lest his vision is covered by the notifications,

A whinny sound can be heard attracting Rex’s eyes to his side, Rex spins his body killing the Undead around him in a circle before his eyes land on the Undead approaching him.
There is about six Undead riding an Undead horse covered with black armor.
He scans this arrival of Undead cavalry before he realized that they’re all fifth rank Undead, their red glowing eyes are glaring at Rex from under their helmet.
Seeing them charging fiercely knocking the Undead that stands in their way,
Rex can’t help but clenched the hilt of his swords tighter feeling excited about the fight, but before he can do anything four silhouettes appear from the side.
The four silhouettes appear in front of the Undead cavalry,
“Wind Disposition Technique, Compact Strike!”

Dray with a body covered with violent wind appears from the side before stabbing one of the cavalry charging at Rex, the Undead got impaled as it falls from the Undead horse.
But this didn’t stop,
A womanly figure clad in armor with a fiery woman spirit behind her also appears from the side, just from a glance Rex can tell that she’s Evelyn.
Evelyn appears above the rest of the Undead cavalry,
Her sword is chaotically blazing with dark fire, the fire mana imbued on her sword becomes even heavier as she chants, “Fire Demoness Art!”
“Blazing Destroyer!”
CRACK!
Evelyn swings down her sword heavily with all her might, the sword slashes down and destroys the ground beneath the Undead cavalry.
BOOM!
After destroying the ground, the fire mana explodes sending the Undead cavalry flying away.
Seve and Maurice also appear beside Rex with their weapons in hand, their expression was that of an excited one since they don’t want to lose out to the black hands.
“Don’t worry about the small fries”, Seve said while fending off the Undead approaching.
Maurice who is also doing the same added, “We’ll clear a path for you, the most powerful one is that huge Undead over there”, he hacks through the Undead around them easily.
He has only one eye because of the other night,
Attacking from his blindspot is supposed to be effective but turns out it’s useless instead, the Undead that tries this meets Maurice’s sword.
Rex glances to the side and finds Intuma glaring at them from way back.
Evelyn and Dray also landed beside Rex before Evelyn said, “Just leave this to us”
“You just have to take out the leader”, she added.
“Alright, I’ll follow your lead”, Rex replied as a smile appeared on his face, the descendants are starting to look like a real team thanks to the black hands.
The four of them are all from the offensive team,
While Morana, Sabrina, Vanessa, and coupled with the others are fighting alongside the black hands, this just shows that the descendants are aware of the battlefield.
Cutting through the Undead suits the offensive team like them very well,
But although it suits the offensive team, the rest of the offensive team aside from the four beside Rex is not charging here too since the defensive and support teams also need some covering.
After Rex said that, the five of them dash through the army of Undead.
They are in a square-shaped formation as they penetrate through the army of Undead heading to Intuma at the back, Rex is in the middle while the others are protecting him.
Evelyn and Dray are in the front clearing the path while Maurice and Seven cover their rear.
With this kind of formation and how the efficiency they all are in doing their roles, it didn’t take long for them to reach Intuma which had already set its eyes on them.
ROAR!!
Intuma’s roar reverberated in the surrounding making the descendants frown.
A shockwave of death energy was created from the roar hurting Rex and the others’ ears while the Undead around them also roars excitedly as if they got rejuvenated by the roar.
After the roar, Rex saw that the liches are blocking their way.
An ice wall sprouted from the ground blocking their way as the liches do their spells, the wall is thick and sturdy with many Undead guarding it.
There are even around four dozens of Undead cavalry guarding the wall,
Looking at this, Evelyn and Dray’s bodies are glowing with their respective mana as their spirit appears on their backs making their mana way stronger.
Both of them jumped intending to clear the path with their spells,
But then, Rex suddenly spots another lich that is taller and bigger than the rest in the middle that is emitting death energy stronger than the other liches.
There is a couple in fact located in the middle of the hundreds of liches,
Rex already scans these bulkier liches and finds that they are an Elder Lich which is a higher form of a lich, and they have a sixth rank power.
The elder liches chanted a spell before the Undead cavalry’s aura shot up a notch.
The sudden change in aura surprises both Evelyn and Dray who thought clearing a fifth-rank Undead cavalry will be as easy as before, but it seems that is not the case this time.
Because of the momentum, Evelyn and Dray already descend down.
An impressive amount of mana gathers on their swords as they swing down their weapons with all their might, but eight Undead cavalries face their attacks at the same time.
Each Evelyn and Dray was intercepted by four Undead Cavalry each.
Maurice and Seve also act fast, they saw this coming as they both dash to help Dray and Evelyn but the other Undead cavalries also reacted fast.
Another four Undead cavalries intercepted Maurice and Seve stopping them.
CLANG!
Powerful shockwaves were created from the collision sending the Undead cavalries and also Evelyn, Dray, Maurice, and Seve crashing away.
BOOM!
They all crash to the ground creating four distinctive booming sounds.
Rex saw this all happening before he glance at the Undead cavalries to only find that their stats have been boosted nearing the early sixth rank, some of them even break through the sixth rank.
‘Those elder lich needs to be handled first’, Rex thought.
Just from their spells, the Undead cavalries’ power was enhanced greatly.
If the elder liches are left alive then they will be a hindrance when Rex will fight Intuma, the peak sixth rank power of Intuma will be enhanced greatly by this.
Unlike Vampires or Werewolves, the Undead doesn’t get weak under the sunlight.
They only thought of the sunlight as a bother but it didn’t affect their power at all, so the only difference in fighting the Undead during the day or night is the sun’s distraction.
It is not as effective as fighting Vampires or Werewolves during the day.
But if Rex had to choose, fighting them during the day is better.
Although the sunlight didn’t weaken them, it’s annoying for them which will hinder their battle intent greatly and can be exploited.
That is the good side, but the bad side is that Rex only has peak sixth rank power.
Aside from him, there are no other descendants or even the black hands that have peak sixth rank power that can help him fight Intuma.
The stronger ones are in Gerrard’s team,
So if Intuma was enhanced by the elder lich then Rex might be in trouble, he can’t fight Intuma at that state so Rex needs to aim at the elder lich first.
Rex glances to the side and found that the others are hurt from the attack,
They didn’t have too severe injuries thanks to the Tetuka Ring but they’re hurt nevertheless, the others need at least a moment before going back into the fight.
‘It looks like I still need to do something’, Rex thought while readying himself.
While he’s preparing himself to kill the elder lich,
Rex suddenly felt a crushing aura coming from the side that surprises him, he snaps his head to the side and find Evelyn already standing with her body covered with dark fire.
Upon seeing this, Rex widens his eyes since Evelyn’s aura is different than before.
“Stop! I told you to leave this to us”, Evelyn said.
She then glances at Rex before she added, “You only need to fight that Undead”, she points at Intuma who is watching from behind the ice walls.
This makes Rex frown as he heard what Evelyn said.
Her aura attracted the elder lich and also the Undead calvaries, and Rex can’t blame them since Evelyn’s elemental aura is way different than before.
Without wasting a second, the Undead cavalries leaped at her.
The death energy around their bodies is creeping onto their weapons, and all of the Undead cavalries were about to slash at Evelyn who is emitting a crushing aura.
Even the Elder Liches chanted another spell as Evelyn’s legs got wrapped with ice snakes.
Rex gripped his swords tightly as he lower his stance, he was about to dash to help Evelyn in concern but then suddenly,
“Fire Demoness Art, Cacophony of Fire”
BOOM!!
A powerful fire blast exploded from Evelyn’s body pushing the leaping Undead cavalries back, the explosion was so powerful that even the lower ranking Undead got burned into ash.
The ice snakes wrapping her feet were also disintegrated,
Even Rex was pushed back from the explosion, it caught him off guard.
Rex saw the fiery woman spirit behind Evelyn start crying, he then scans Evelyn’s stats before his eyes widen when the intelligence stat of her is soaring higher.
This never happened before since Rex has never seen something like this,
The intelligence stat even broke the 1000 mark and keep increasing, this surprises Rex even more since it almost reach Gistella’s intelligence who is a peak sixth rank.
After noticing the weird increase in intelligence,
He then saw the Undead cavalries’ heads start burning from Evelyn’s dark fire, she didn’t stop there as she chanted another spell, “Wave of Dissonance!”
RING!!
Another powerful wave of fire exploded from Evelyn’s body followed by a ringing sound.
The fire wave went past through Rex’s body as it didn’t hurt him or even the other descendants, but the Undead cavalry’s heads that got hit by the fire wave exploded killing them instantly.
SPLAT!
All of the Undead Cavalry dies from Evelyn’s spell,
Rex looks around in shock since not only the Undead Cavalry but the Undead around him were also wiped out entirely by Evelyn’s spell.
But that wasn’t the thing that surprises Rex, ‘Sound magic?!! How did she…’
Just from the way the Undead heads exploded is not something a Fire Elementalist can do, the ringing sound from the fire wave was the one that caused this.
Rex is looking at Evelyn with utter shock, he was in a state of disbelief.
Evelyn is standing firmly on the ground with a blazing aura surrounding her, the spirit behind her is also emitting the same aura making her look fierce with the dead Undead carcass around her.
‘There’s no way right? She can’t be a dual Elementalist right…?!’
