The witch lays her eyes on Vivian with her entire body unmoving,
It's as if she's a statue staring at Vivian with her wicked eyes, the scene of her looking at Vivian brings a flavor of creepiness to a whole new level.
After stepping back unconsciously,
The creature on the witch's lap notice that the witch has stopped stroking it as it whimpers pleadingly but then, its head suddenly turns towards Vivian making her eyes open wide.
Although Vivian has seen a share of cursed creatures in her time,
The creature in front of her is not something she can cope with easily, it was horrifying being looked at through those hollow eyes.
Seeing that the creature is turning its head towards Vivian,
Now Vivian can roughly tell what the creature looks like, the creature is a hooded skull that almost looks like an undead but the aura coming from the creature is vastly different than an undead.
While Vivian is looking at the creature, dark smoke suddenly appears around her.
Many dark circles appear on the ground emitting dark smoke that makes Vivian alert, she jumped back before she saw weird creatures appear after the dark smoke vanished.
There are more than five of these creatures,
From a glance, they are humanoid creatures that are shaped like a human teen.
Some of them are even smaller than the others almost toddlers, but all of their skin is an ashy color similar to Dark Elves but the entirety of their bodies has these weird blue veins popping with two horns on their heads.
The horns are made of bones and they sprouted from the side of their head just like a buffalo.
Vivian can feel the hostility in the air as the ashy creature circles around her slowly, It is clear that the witch is not welcoming to Vivian's presence.
SWOOSH!
Four of the ashy creatures pounced on Vivian in a union,
Seeing this, Vivian uses her claws to fend them off.
SLASH!
Vivian clawed through the four ashy creatures chopping their limbs, her claws cut through the ashy creature's body like butter as they fell to the ground.
She's a Werewolf, her reflexes and battle sense cannot be underestimated.
Another ashy creature attack Vivian from the back, cursed energy was covering the creature's body but Vivian sensed this before she turns around and grab the creature by the head.
Grab!
Looking at the ashy creature's yellow eyes looking at her intently,
Vivian put some strength on her grip as she crushed the ashy creature's head, but when she was about to talk to the witch she suddenly frown upon looking at the ashy creature around her.
The ones that were supposed to be dead started regenerating their lost limbs,
Even the ones that have its head crushed stands back up as their head started to slowly regenerate, this makes Vivian growls exposing her sharp fangs as she glared at the witch.
The witch is sitting inside the house calmly, she's watching Vivian fight.
But when the ashy creatures wanted to pounce on Vivian again,
BAM!
Jarvald suddenly appear out of nowhere and grabs one of the ashy creature's head, his hand makes the head of the ashy creature looks very small as his eyes glitter fiercely.
The other ashy creature's movement was stopped upon Jarvald's arrival,
After grabbing one of the ashy creatures by the head, Jarvald poked the ashy creature with his bloodied claws and creates a pentagram-shaped symbol on its skin.
It takes only a couple of seconds for Jarvald to make that symbol,
And when he's done drawing the symbol on the ashy creature's skin, he grins showing his sharp fangs before he bites the ashy creature's head off.
CRACK!
The sound of bones cracking can be heard as Jarvald bites the ashy creature's head,
But under Vivian's gaze, the ashy creature that got its head ripped off by Jarvald doesn't regenerate as its body turns into dark smoke and disappears.
"You may be invincible in this era against the humans"
"But you're not the only one who knows something about curses, don't underestimate us"
Jarvald said while he approach the house and stopped a couple of meters in front of the house, he's looking at the witch who was a bit surprised upon seeing Jarvald manage to kill one of the ashy creatures easily.
Even the hooded skull creature stands up upon seeing Jarvald's feat,
With a wide grin on his face, Jarvald then added, "We have come in peace, we just want to ask a question and after you answered it we will leave you alone"
"How did you do that?", Vivian whispers from the side.
Without even turning his head to see Vivian, Jarvald replied, "You're not a part of the frontline during the war, so you don't know that Cursed Creature can't be killed normally"
The witch then stands up from her seat and stands just by the door,
"You don't need to worry, we won't hurt you even if you come out of that barrier of yours", Jarvald said with a cheeky grin.
But the witch didn't pay it any mind, "What is your question?"
A quiet but resonant voice came out of the witch's mouth that doesn't suit her monstrous appearance, but Jarvald didn't put much thought to it.
"I can tell that you're a new Witch, but since you have that grimoire I think you can help"
Hearing this, the Witch's eyes went wide again but this time she can't hide her shock fully since what Jarvald said surprised her very much, "You..."
"You can see my grimoire?", the Witch asks in surprise.
Jarvald shrugs his shoulders as he brings his hand up showing the pentagram symbol on his hand that he just drew with the blood of the humans he killed.
While Vivian was looking at them conversing in confusion, "Grimoire?"
"Where's the Grimoire?", Vivian mumbles as she really can't find the Grimoire Jarvald is talking about even after looking around her carefully.
Looking at this, the Witch squints her eyes, "I will answer your question"
"But it will come at a cost, you must answer a question of mine too", she added.
Jarvald seems to doesn't mind as he replied, "Deal"
"Then, What is your question?", the Witch asks calmly, standing just by the opened door.
After getting the Witch's confirmation, Jarvald then finally asks, "Tell me how someone can break a curse? If this will help, the curse is on a Werewolf"
"It seems that the curse came from the Vampire, I'm sure of it", Vivian added.
Both of them remember the night when they met with Rex, the scent from Rex's blood clearly has a flavor of curse in them which surprises them both.
Even when the fight against Ana Delarosa just a bit after,
Jarvald saw how Ana was dazed a bit after she bit Rex's neck and drink his blood, it is clear that the curse is somehow related to Vampires since it weaken Ana.
Hearing this, the Witch thought for a moment.
While she was thinking, Vivian felt uncomfortable since the hooded skull creature is standing behind the Witch while looking in their direction.
It's hard to say who the hooded skull creature is looking at with its hollow eyes,
But nevertheless, the hooded skull creature has a really creepy look with cursed energy coming out of its body. The hooded skull creature doesn't even move all this time besides standing behind the Witch.
"I can list the things you need to break a curse, but it's still impossible for you", the Witch said.
Jarvald and Vivian frown when they heard this, "Why is it impossible? I've seen it happen a couple of times in my days so you can't fool me", Jarvald rebutted.
"Aside from the difficulty of the necessary preparation, you need a Witch to do this"
Upon hearing what the Witch said, the frown on Jarvald and Vivian's face becomes harder as Jarvald replied, "Just cut to the chase, What do you want us to do?"
Jarvald can see where this conversation is going,
It's clear that the Witch wanted them to do something for her, if she doesn't then she will just ask her question after answering Jarvald's question instead of smiling mysteriously.
With a light smile, the Witch then said, "I too have my own agendas"
"I'm willing to help you break this curse of yours but I need you to bring me something, It's a bit troublesome but since you have connections with humans then you might be able to"
Hearing this, Jarvald was surprised, "How do you know about that?"
Without even answering, the Witch smiles as her eyes glint with curse energy.
"It's her eyes", Vivian mumbles from the side.
Jarvald then asks grudgingly, "What is the thing you want?"
"There's a tiger monster buried in a canyon that has been found by the humans, I want you to bring that monster to me dead or alive it's your choice", the Witch continues.
This makes Jarvald think for a moment, "Tiger monster?"
"Yes, I believe since you're thousands of years old you know of this monster. I believe this monster in your time is called, Rurvi..."

Back to Rex,
"Where are you going?", Evelyn asks after seeing Rex leave the room.
Rex is walking out of the room with a phone in his ear, he was trying to call for Edward wanting to know about his conditions.
If Adhara woke up sooner, he might already be on his way to find Edward.
But with Adhara still unconscious, he can't just leave her here with Evelyn so he's trying to call Edward despite not getting picked up for the third time right now.
Evelyn is following Rex from behind but she's silent upon looking at Rex's expression.
It's evident that Rex is currently thinking about something, and disturbing him in his current state will just be rude of her.
Rex walks along the hallway, he tries to call for Edward a couple more times to no avail.
'Where is he? He definitely got hurt by Kyran, there's no other explanation', Rex thought in worry as he put his phone back down.
It's already past midnight and the Lunar Eclipse is two hours more,
While Rex is walking back and forth through the hallway worrying for Edward, Evelyn finally opens her mouth, "If you're worried about something and can't leave Adhara, you can just ask me and I can send my men to check it out"
'If Edward really happens to contain Kyran, then it should be okay to send people to check on him right?', Rex thought.
After briefly thinking, "You would do that?", Rex asks lightly.
Evelyn nodded her head making Rex smile before he said, "If you're willing, I need to check on my friend Edward. Can you send your men to check him?"
"Send the location to my number", Evelyn asks.
Rex exchanged phone numbers with Evelyn and send her the address, Evelyn then called for the guards guarding her room and told them to check on the address right in front of Rex.
Although it looks normal, Rex can tell that Evelyn intentionally tells her men in front of him.
'It seems Evelyn is trying to gain my trust', Rex thought with a faint smile.
But while Evelyn is talking to her men, Rex suddenly saw someone pop from the corner of the hallway before his faint smile turns into a wicked smile.
Since this is already past midnight, there are no other people along this hallway.
All of the 25 Golden Crest Families have left the hotel or some of them might book a room just like Evelyn, but all of them are certainly in their beds sleeping.
So a man popping from the corner can surely be spotted,
After recognizing the man, Rex walks past Evelyn and her guard with wide strides heading towards the man who is looking around trying to search for something or someone.
"I wonder what you're looking for this late at night"
Rex walks towards the man confidently with a cheeky smile, he then added, "I'm sure you're not that dumb to get lost in the hotel right? Hans...?"
The man turns out to be Hans from the Atkins Family,
Without even asking for what he was looking for, Rex already knew as his smile grow wider.
Looking at Rex walking to him confidently, Hans frown as he turns his body towards Rex with a darkened look.
"Oh, you realized it already?", Rex asks after seeing Hans' darkened expression.
Hearing this, Hans then asks lightly, "What did you do to our people, Rex?"
Rex walks a couple of steps closer towards Hans, he was looking at Hans ruthlessly with a glare before he asks, "You're asking that?"
He laughs loudly for a moment making Hans clench his fists hard.
His laugh only amounted to a few seconds and it's closer to a mocking laugh instead, Rex then leans his body closer to Hans before he whispers with a vicious smile, "I killed them of course"
