Upon hearing this, Duncan and Maurice widen their eyes when they saw Evelyn sitting beside Rex while holding a glass of gin in her hand.
Duncan then bowed deeply as he said, “Greetings to Lady Evelyn…”
Maurice also bowed following his father,
This exchange puts a smile on Evelyn’s face but not for Rex, “What are you guys doing? You’re not allowed to bow like that, that’ll be a disgrace to me”
“Don’t be angry with them, I also have a reputation of my own”, Evelyn said from the side.
Both the father and son duo widen their eyes when they saw Evelyn being touchy and very close with Rex, but Duncan was the most surprised.
He can’t believe that Rex got this close to Evelyn Luc, the jewel of the Luc Family.
Duncan can’t help but asks, “Sir Rex, I never thought you also have ties with the Luc Family”

Hearing this, Duncan smile wryly before Rex signals both of them to seat.
Maurice saw a corpse on the side of the door which makes him frown, it was certainly an Awakened from the Atkins Family that was killed.
A powerful one at that too, probably a sixth rank.
Anywhere else aside from sector 2 of Ratmawati City, a sixth rank Awakened will be like an elite Awakened force but now that elite is lying like a bag of trash on the side of the door.
It reminds Maurice and Duncan of how powerful Rex currently is,
Way stronger than the last time he barged into their house, now Rex is equivalent to a seventh rank and none of them is a match for Rex as he’s getting stronger at a fast pace.
Rex leans his body forward and puts his elbows on the table,
“Duncan, you’ve made the Fireband Market and also you’ve worked with the Reed Family before so you must know a thing or two about the Reed Family enemy, Atkins Family. I want you to check if this is all true”, Rex said while pushing the map and papers given by the man before.
Hearing this, Duncan looks at the papers with a frown.
He then glances at Maurice before Maurice scans all of the papers using his phone,
The phone shot a blue light that covered the entire thing on the table, it scanned every paper on the table before the blue light finally receded.
After about five minutes, a notification rang from Maurice’s phone before he gave it to Duncan.
“Our team has already cross-checked all of this information and finds that everything is true but missed one crucial thing”, Duncan said before checking Evelyn’s reaction.
Evelyn who is sitting on the side frown, “If that’s the case, then show us Duncan”
Duncan glance at Rex before Rex gives him a confirmation nod,
With a tap of Duncan’s finger, the phone emit a hologram that displayed the map exactly like the one that the man before gave to Rex.
“The location of the offices are all true but has left out a crucial matter”, Duncan said.
He then taps on the phone again before the hologram turned from a map into a phone and tablet, “As you both may know the Atkins Family possesses the majority of the car industry market, but recently not many know that they’re also trying their hand on mobile phone industry. The mobile phone company owned by the Atkins Family is called, Primary Mobile”
Duncan then taps the phone again before the hologram went back to a map.
But this time, the map doesn’t have 31 dots but 6 dots instead.
“From the general view, the Atkins Family is just trying to dwell into a new business but that is not that simple. These 6 points are the Primary Mobile factories all over Ratmawati City”, Duncan added while pointing at the red dots on the hologram.
Upon seeing this, Rex frowned as he realized the strategic point of each of the locations.
Duncan saw Rex’s expression before he continues, “You may also realize that this is not just any factory, but each spot of the Primary Mobile factory is close to exactly 5 factories of their car manufacturing”
“Support centers, they’re making support centers”, Rex mutters with a frown.
This also makes Duncan nod his head, “Due to the recent attack by an unknown force on their factories, they develop this strategy and also to not attract the public’s attention they decided to mask these places as a new upcoming mobile phone company”
“It’s not an unknown force, he’s the one that attacked the factories”, Evelyn points at Rex.
Hearing this, Duncan looks at Rex in surprise and finds that Rex didn’t even deny Evelyn’s statement which makes him even more surprised.
This becomes clear that Rex really did the one that attacked the factories,
‘It seems they have taken measures to the last time I worked with the Reed Family to attack their factories, Wesley is quite a fast-thinker for a trash guy’, Rex thought.
Just from looking at the strategic location of each Primary Mobile factory that is close to exactly five car manufacturing factories, it became obvious that they’re support centers.
Basically, these Primary Mobile factories will help any other factories that are being attacked.
Rex then signals to Duncan to continue,
“In these six Primary Mobile factories lies about a hundred Awakened lead by a middle or peak the seventh rank Awakened, they will reinforce the attacked factories if needed”, Duncan added.
This makes Rex frown, ‘Mid and peak of the seventh rank… that’s going to be troublesome’
“Well you are the head of a family so you must know the insides, it’s the right thing to ask for a second opinion. If you attacked blindly, it will definitely go south”, Evelyn added from the side.
Rex also nodded his head in agreement as this is new news that he will need to think about.
After explaining the missed out point, Duncan sat back down before he glance at Rex, “Even considering that matter, this will not work if Wesley is not out of the picture. Each of the locations has teleport formation installed, they can come and go in an instant”
“Other families also might know this and try to intervene for their own benefit, that also needs some serious consideration”
This also prompted Evelyn to look at Rex, “You also haven’t told me yet, just how will you take out Wesley when the entire Faraday University is surrounded by his men”
Duncan also nodded his head, “He’s trying to lure you out”
“I’m guessing that you can go here thanks to the Lady Evelyn, but how are you going to get to him when he’s the one trying to get to you?”
Hearing this, a smile appears on Rex’s face, “Don’t worry, I’ve got that covered”
“Wesley might think that he’s luring me out, but little does he know that it’s the other way around instead. At the right time and moment, I’ll strike a blow that he won’t be able to dodge”, he added.
But this makes the others frown in doubt,
Duncan was the first one to speak, “I’m sorry for not believing you but Wesley is not just the head of the Atkins Family, but he’s also an early eighth rank Awakened. Even if you can lure him out, how will you kill him?”
“Just leave that to me, my power doesn’t only revolves around combat strength”, Rex said with a mysterious smile etched on his face.
While they’re discussing further,
Rex was the one to realize something as he signals for the others to stop, “It’s too quiet… Something is wrong”, he said.
Hearing this, the others also frown when they realize what Rex meant.
Although they’re inside the VIP room of a bar, the sound from outside the room can still be heard. But right now, only the music can be heard with no chattering of people.
It’s eerily quiet for a bar that is crowded when Rex and the others got here.
Evelyn frown as she touches her earpiece, “Status Check”
But even after waiting for a while, Evelyn didn’t get any feedback which makes her expression darken as she look at Rex with a meaningful look.

The notification from the system confirms Rex’s suspicion, it seems the Atkins Family found out about their secret meeting.
Rex closes his eyes as he focuses on his senses,
‘6 Early Sixth Rank, 3 Mid Sixth rank, 3 Peak Sixth Rank, 1 Early Seventh Rank’, Rex thought after sensing the Awakened around the bar, they are already inside the bar inching closer.

‘I’m still weakened from the debuff, is it possible to take them out without creating much ruckus?’, Rex thought after reading the sudden quest.
The 30% debuff is still active thanks to failing the killing intent quest,
Rex unconsciously glances at Maurice who is also looking at him worriedly, but he then shakes his head, ‘This is in the middle of the city, FAA will get here quick if I make a ruckus’, he thought.
But then, Evelyn asks from the side, “Rex, What should we do?”
The others are also looking at him for an answer, they also realized that the bar is already surrounded by the Atkins Family Awakened.
‘None of them can take them out silently’, Rex thought.
He then glances at Duncan, ‘Maybe he can take out the early and mid-sixth rank silently but peak sixth rank or even seventh rank will be way out of his reach’
The sudden quest also stated that he needs to take care of this alone.
A clash between both sides also stated that it might inflict casualty on Rex’s side, and Rex completely agree with the seventh rank Awakened around.
While thinking of a solution, Rex’s eyes then landed on the chandelier.
Upon seeing the chandelier, Rex suddenly got an idea.
The others are looking at Rex waiting for an answer before they saw Rex suddenly standing up, he then walks slowly towards the door before unsheathing the right sword.
Amuerus Katana was strapped on the right as the runes glow red upon activation.
“These guys never learn, haven’t they realized coming at me will just mean death”, Rex mumbles.
He then stretches his arm pointing a finger toward the chandelier, the others can also see that the ground beneath Rex started to turn black.
Rex glanced at the others and said, “You guys wait for me here, I’ll handle this silently”
After saying that, Rex’s index finger shot out sky black lightning that zapped the chandelier as the sky black lightning travels through the entire bar.
Just after he did that, all of the electricity in the bar experienced a blackout.
Meanwhile, on the other side of the bar.
A group of Awakened is slowly traveling through the bar cautiously.
The people inside the bar noticed the arrival of the group as the leader of the group of Awakened signaled to them to stay quiet and leave the bar, he told them using hand signs.
But all of them realized what the leader meant as they all left the bar silently.
Even the drunkards are supported outside silently as the music still beats in the background, it’s surprising how much the people cooperate perfectly.
The leader of the group is a man that has his runes on his face,
It is a green straight line starting from the edge of his forehead all the way to his chin crossing his eye in the process, this makes him hard to not get recognized by the people he knew.
One of the Awakened then grabs the leaving bartender,
The Awakened then asks, “Where are Duncan Platchi and his son?”
“Duncan Platchi? I believe they’re in the VIP room right there, I don’t want any trouble please let me leave”, the bartender replied after pointing in a direction on the second floor.
Five doors can be seen there that are numbered from one to five and carved fancily.
Upon getting the information, the Awakened let the bartender go before the leader signals to the others with a hand sign to slowly go upstairs.
Just when the group of Awakened head to the stairs,

The music stopped as the entirety of the bar experienced a blackout, the bar becomes very dark only supported by the moonlight through the windows.
All of them stopped as they looks around warily,
BAM!
Right at the same time, they heard a door closing making all of them hide behind a cover.
The leader then uses a spell as a subtle wind blows the entire bar,
After doing that, the leader signals for the other Awakened on both sides to advance slowly.
Since the bar is rectangle-shaped and the VIP rooms are at the other end of the place on the second floor, the group of Awakened split into two groups that advance from the right and left.
While the leader stays on the first floor just by the entrance,
But seeing the two groups of Awakened advanced, the leader then went out of his cover and walks slowly while looking up at the VIP rooms.
Two Awakened stayed behind with the leader,
Six of the Awakened holding melee weapons advanced nearing the VIP rooms, while four of the Awakened that go to the second floor stayed a little back, they held guns in their hands pointing at the VIP rooms ready to shoot if anything moved.
The six Awakened nearing the VIP rooms already took out somekind of crystal.
They held it in their other hand that is not holding a weapon,
After they got into position, the leader glanced at the four Awakened holding a gun in their hands as they nodded their heads confirming that they were ready.
With a flick of their fingers, the guns make a clicking sound as they are ready to shoot.
Seeing that they were ready, the leader then directed his eyes to the VIP rooms again before commanding decisively, “Fire!!”
Just after the leader’s signal,
All of the Awakened’s bodies tensed as they waited for the four people to rain fire on the VIP rooms, the six Awakened then will attack if the people inside the VIP rooms come out.
But after a moment the gun firing sounds never came,
The leader frown before he looks back at the Awakened on the right, but instead of seeing the Awakened hesitating to shoot, he finds that both of them are lying on the ground.
Just from a glance, the leader realized that they were all dead.
One has their neck sliced, and the other is gasping for air as his chest is bloodied after getting stabbed repeatedly which surprised the leader.
It happened so fast and unnoticed,
Need to bear in mind that the four Awakened holding guns are split, two of them are on the left side, and the two others are on the right side.
The leader then glances to the left hurriedly and finds their bodies shaking.
Both of them dropped to their knees as their guns fall to the ground, the both of them can’t move as their bodies are shaking just like when someone is tased.
It was done simultaneously as the leader widen his eyes in shock,
‘What the…? When did they got attacked?!’, the leader exclaimed in his head.
Just right after he thought of that, he suddenly felt an ominous aura on his back as a figure with red eyes is already right on his back, “Boo!”
