Rex got flung crashing to the wall behind him as Rurvi’s aura exploded, it is the darkest red aura that Rex has ever seen filled with curse energy.
It was so powerful that Rex felt his skin burning just by standing near Rurvi,
The force from Rurvi’s presence stunned Rex’s entire body as he was not able to muster any strength, he wanted to crush the transferral crystal but he can’t.

Reading the notification from the system, Rex gritted his teeth as the notification shows that he somehow got resistance from the Eternal Curse.
The heavy pressure lessened greatly thanks to that, but then,
“You step into the world you don’t know, Mongrel”, Rurvi said menacingly.

Without giving Rex any time to react, Rurvi moves its muscular legs and leaped toward Rex.
This happened faster than a blink of an eye, and when Rex realized Rurvi is attacking it was already too late as Rurvi’s claws already penetrated his chest.
“Huaakh!!”, Rex spat a mouthful of blood.
Blood gushed out of Rex’s chest decorating Rurvi’s claw in red,
Rurvi’s huge claws stab through his chest and even pins him on the wall since Rurvi’s claws are long.
This crushed his lungs and everything around and inside his chest, this surely will kill any living creatures, “Tell the Witch of Chaos, in this era, we’re going to be the one that wins!”
After saying that, Rurvi pulls its claw away expecting that Rex is already dead.
But when Rurvi turns to its back, a light chuckle can be heard making Rurvi stop on its track.
Rurvi glance back and saw Rex chuckling with gaping holes on his chest, but the holes are recovering at a visible rate, even the cursed energy that got inflicted on him got cleansed by an unknown source.
This makes the wounds close up in a matter of seconds,
Rurvi was put in disbelief upon seeing this, Rurvi’s eyes widen in absolute shock.
“How did you survive that?!”, Rurvi shouted before leaping back to create distance.
Although the stats between them are separated by a mile, Rex didn’t get killed thanks to the cursed resistance that he got from the Eternal Curse.
<Cursed Resistance Level 12>
The owner of this passive skill becomes unkillable by any cursed creature that doesn’t possess a nature’s curse and has power below the twelfth rank, a godly skill bestowed directly to the user.
Rex can just activate his other enhancements to break the transferral crystal,
But this resistance that he got from the Eternal Curse refrained Rex from crushing the transferral crystal to flee, the description told him that he will be unkillable.
That is why he decided not to flee, it’s a risky move but it works.
Rex needs to learn more about this Rurvi in front of him, he will need to capture Rurvi to bring to Jarvald if he wanted to know how to undo the Eternal Curse.
With a slow movement, Rex stands up on his feet with his wounds healed completely.
The scene shocks Rurvi, Rurvi didn’t expect that Rex can come out unscathed from that, “I already see your heart, my curse should kill you for having an evil heart!”
Rurvi then widen its eyes when it saw the weird energy coming from Rex,
“Y-Your curse… It’s a Numen Curse! But who would’ve done this?!”, Rurvi exclaims in realization.
Hearing this, Rex frowned as he didn’t know what Numen Curse means but he decided to just ask the system about it later, “Now, Are you going to come with me or not?”
“You won’t be able to kill me, so why not make a deal with me”, Rex added.
“Don’t get cocky you Mongrel!!”

Just like before, Rurvi dashes again but this time Rurvi aims for Rex’s head.
SLASH!
Rex’s neck got cleanly cut off by Rurvi’s claws as the disparity in strength is too much, but even with his head severed Rex is still smiling as his head falls to the ground with a thud.
“You can’t kill me”, Rex said as his head miraculously went back to its place.
If someone were to see this, they would’ve popped their eyes from their sockets seeing that Rex’s head that has already been severed got back to its place.
The scene would be too much for them,
Even Rex is still dazed by this but nonetheless, it really happens.
Instead of agreeing with Rex’s demand or at least hearing him out, Rurvi’s smiles suddenly widen as Rurvi dashes straight into the wall and disappears from the place.
Rex can somewhat feel Rurvi moving inside the wall before suddenly, “Shit!”
Without wasting any second, Rex dashes out of the Cursed Zone, he instantly grabs Kyran, and went to the cave where Adhara and Gistella would be.
‘It’s aiming for the others!’, Rex thought while picking up his pace.
He then glances at the wall agitated, ‘Just how can it travel inside the wall like a ghost?!’
Kyran who got pulled by Rex then asks in confusion, “What’s wrong? Did something happen?”
But Rex didn’t have the time to reply as he dashes into the cave following Adhara’s scent, it didn’t take long before Rex saw the two fighting a mutated mole the size of a horse.
Reaching the place, Rex shouted when he saw Rurvi’s head is already sticking out of the wall.
Its eyes are already aiming for Adhara,
Although Rex is not quite disturbed by Rurvi’s eerie face that resembles more of a human than a tiger, it’s quite terrifying to see Rurvi’s face that doesn’t look natural.
But Rex doesn’t have the luxury to think about Rurvi’s appearance,
Since Rex’s stats are measly compared to Rurvi, even with all of his might he can’t reach Adhara first seeing that Rurvi already leaped out of the wall.
‘I can’t reach her! No matter what I use I can’t reach her fast enough!’
Rex saw Rurvi was about to snatch Adhara who is looking at him, she didn’t even sense Rurvi is already right on her back but then suddenly,
Gistella covered with a white barrier unconsciously blocked the incoming Rurvi,
Since she’s standing just beside Adhara, just one step to the back puts her in between the charging Rurvi and the oblivious Adhara.
CLANG!
Rurvi got blasted away upon touching Gistella’s white barrier,
BOOM!
Looking at this, Rex was surprised when Gistella actually manage to block Rurvi with her white barrier that even sent Rurvi crashing to the wall.
It’s a shocking scene that Rex can’t decipher although glad since this saved Adhara.
Hearing the loud crashing sound, Adhara glanced to her back where the crashing sound came from but she saw nothing there except the trashed wall.
“Adhara! Are you okay?!”, Rex asks in worry and hugs her.
Adhara who doesn’t understand what is happening can just nod her head, “What happened?”
The time that Rurvi attacked was a fraction of a second, and Adhara didn’t know that her life almost got pulled by death if not for Gistella.
After making sure Adhara is okay, Rex’s eyes then landed on Gistella.
“Master, What is that?”, Gistella asks as she also didn’t see Rurvi, but her body reacts to the sudden ominous feeling which manages to block Rurvi.
With a sigh, Rex then looks at the rubble and said, “It’s a cursed creature, it almost got you Adhara”
“G-Got me? Why did it suddenly attack me?”, Adhara mutters in confusion, she felt her heart sink when she realized that the crashing sound was actually a cursed creature attacking her from the back.
‘How did Gistella manage to block Rurvi?’, Rex asks.
But then, Devo answers, [Cursed Creatures becomes powerful not without a cost, their curse properties make them unable to attack those who are not in line with their own curse]
‘Gistella has a good heart?’, Rex thought a bit surprised.
When he’s confronting Rurvi,
Rex remembered that Rurvi said something about its claws can kill anyone with an evil heart, if it doesn’t work on Gistella then that means her heart is not evil like himself.
[You don’t have to worry, that cursed creature got hurt from attacking Gistella. It won’t come back for some time]
After nodding his head, Rex then glances at the others, “It’s alright now, the cursed creature is gone”, he said assuringly.
He then moves on, “How is the hunt? Did it go well?”
“Gistella is still shaking, it seems fighting mutated animals is not the answer”, Adhara replied as she points to Gistella whose body is still shaking.
Looking at this, Rex frown, ‘The Wolf Moon is for hunting in packs’
‘If it doesn’t work then maybe it’s because the mutated animals are not prey, since they’re not scared they attacked Gistella and Adhara rather than running for their lives’, Rex thought.
But then suddenly, Rex remembered something as he glance at Kyran.
The glance from Rex startled Kyran as he take a step back, Kyran instantly got a bad feeling from Rex’s gaze that makes him gulp harshly.
“Come here Kyran”, Rex said lightly.
Hearing this, Kyran doesn’t have any other choice but to approach Rex.
Rex then stretches his hand to Kyran when he’s already close, he then touches Kyran’s arm before Kyran felt a stinging burn on his arm.
Kyran pulls his arm away before finding a black sheep mark on his arm,
It is the same mark as the one that Rex gave to Maurice’s mother, the Prey Mark.
“What is this for?”, Kyran asks in confusion.
But out of nowhere, Kyran was surprised to see that Adhara and Gistella are looking at him with hostility which has never happened before.
Kyran never got this kind of gaze from the both of them,
“As you can see, the Wolf Moon is near but we can’t find suitable prey for us to hunt”, Rex said.
A smirk then appears on Rex’s face as he points to his back where Adhara and Gistella are looking at Kyran aggressively, “Since you’re the Omega, we’re going to use you instead”
The words that came from Rex’s mouth made Kyran’s heart skip a beat,
Adhara and Gistella are already inching closer to Kyran as they can’t contain themselves, but Rex hasn’t given them the signal yet, “You better run now Kyran, they might go a little rough”
Hearing this, Kyran gulps as he immediately turns around and dashes away.
Since his agility stats are not allocated to his endurance from the Omega rank effect, Kyran is still quite fast but Adhara and Gistella are not slow themselves.
Rex raises his finger while waiting for a moment,
After half a minute passed, Rex then puts down his finger and said, “Happy hunting!”

Meanwhile, Faraday University.
After the event where he meets with Lisa who is giving information to Ari,
Edward went to Rex’s room with slightly hurried steps, he doesn’t even look left or right as his head stay straight to see his front heading to Rex’s room.
Upon arriving at Rex’s room, Edward opens the door.
The moment he opened the door, Edward only saw Ryze sitting on the sofa in the dark.
It was weird to see him sitting on the sofa like this, the light didn’t even turn on as the place where Ryze is sitting is almost completely dim if not for the light from the windows.
“Ryze, is Rex in here?”, Edward asks.
But instead of answering, Ryze got up from the sofa and approach Edward with a small white paper in his hand, “Rex is out, but he did tell me to give this to you”
“What is this?”, Edward asks as he takes the small white paper.
The content of the small white paper seems to be somekind of address, there is nothing else except for the address written in ink.
After Edward look at the address and memorized it,
“Rex said that after you read it, burn the paper”, Ryze said lightly.
Hearing this, Edward nodded his head and burns the paper before going back to the entrance door again, “Thanks for the note Ryze, I’ll be off now”
“Wait! Can you lead me to the clinic?”, Ryze asks.
Edward stopped just by the door and replied, “Sure, Just follow me”
A moment later,
Ryze arrived at the clinic after following Edward, he then turns to Edward before he said, “Thanks Edward, you can go now since you must have something to do”
“Are you sick Ryze?”, Edward asks.
Shaking his head, Ryze then replied, “It’s not something major, don’t worry”
“Okay, I’ll leave you be then”, Edward said before he turns around and head to the lobby, it seems he will be going out of the university again.
The moment Edward’s back disappears,
Ryze went inside the clinic by opening the door slowly, he then saw the doctor on his desk while playing with his phone.
Just like the others, this doctor is also an Awakened.
Hearing the door is opened, the doctor glances at the door and finds Ryze approaching him slowly.
“Are you a student? You’re not an Awakened, and you’re too young to even be a student here. I can’t help you if you’re not our students”, the doctor said with a frown.
,m But Ryze proceed to sit on the seat in front of the doctor and said, “I’m the kid taken by Rex”
“Rex Silverstar? If that’s the case, what can I help you with? What is your complaint?”, the doctor asks while looking at Ryze to see if there are any visible symptoms.
The doctor then squint his eyes when he saw Ryze’s skin is reddish,
With a stretch of his hand, the doctor touch Ryze’s forehead before his eyes widens in surprise as a low steaming sound can be heard when his hand touches Ryze’s forehead.
It’s almost exactly like the sound when touching a hot frying pan,
“You’re burning, and it’s not some normal level of burning. Lie down on the bed”, the doctor said as Ryze nodded his head with a slightly roughed breathing.
The level of Ryze’s body temperature is not normal, it’s burning to be exact.
Even the doctor who is an Awakened can feel the heat, so Ryze’s body temperature is certainly not normal as it’s a miracle for Ryze to even walk in this state.
After lying on the bed, the doctor proceeds to check on Ryze’s body further.
The frown on the doctor’s face becomes even more evident as he conducted more tests, but all of the tests show that Ryze’s body is functioning normally.
There is not one slightest bit of abnormality,
But even the tests show no sign of abnormality, just by looking at Ryze the doctor knows that something must be wrong with his body.
“Wait here for a moment, I’ll be back”, the doctor said.
Ryze’s breathing becomes even heavier as his head started spinning, there’s even slight steam coming out of his body as he looks at the ceiling, ‘What’s happening to me?’, he thought.
