At night,
Rex walks out of his room wearing a black hoody and jeans, the two swords are strapped on his back showing that he’s about to go out of the university.
Walking a couple of steps, Rex saw that Adhara is already sitting on the sofa,
From the quarrel that happened between him and Edward before, Adhara didn’t get into the room at all as she stayed sitting on the sofa worrying that Edward might be in danger.
Edward’s family is kidnapped in the middle of the day,
Although Rex doesn’t want to admit it, upgrading his element into an Ultimate Element before is the perfect window for whichever family to kidnap Edward’s family.
Since the phenomenon even makes the sky darkened,
The loud noises from the lightning and also the dark sky attracted all of the security guards of the university including the students and the lecturers.
‘Someone manage to use this opportunity to kidnap Edward’s family huh’, Rex thought.
Out of the possibilities, the most obvious ones are the Reed or Atkins, families.
Rex reaches the end of the hallway as Adhara’s eyes turn to him, but her eyes turn cold upon seeing Rex’s face which shows that she’s still disappointed in him.
“Just stay here, I’ll handle the rest”, Rex said with a sigh.
But Adhara didn’t reply as she only turns her face away,
There is a pile of fire elemental stones just beside the door which makes Rex say, “Don’t worry about Edward too much, just focus on reaching the sixth rank okay?”
Adhara didn’t reply again making Rex shakes his head and walks out of the room.
Valery was the one that sent the elemental stones for Adhara to use,
Back when Rex is still at the UWO office after getting back from the mission to eradicate the Undead, Evelyn said that he doesn’t want to miss what Valery was about to say.
Turns out Valery’s family is quite rich, not far from the Burton Family’s wealth.
As thanks for saving her life, Valery asks Rex how do he wanted to be repaid and one of the most urgent things he needs are elemental stones aside from money.
With that, Valery just sent the fire and lightning-high elemental stones.
From the piles of the elemental stones on the side, it’s roughly more than a couple of thousands with all of them being high-grade elemental stones.
There are some black stones amongst them, it’s for Kyran although it’s not much.
Without waiting for Adhara to reply, Rex got out of the room before walking away slowly.
Instead of heading out of the university, Rex stayed in the lobby for a couple of minutes before a red-haired woman approaches him from the side.
The woman is none other than Evelyn,
“Did you already tell him the location to find that person?”, Rex asks.
Hearing this, Evelyn nodded her head as she replied, “Don’t worry, I already told him the exact location. This is a very risky plan, are you sure you’re going to go through with this?”
“I trust him with my life, let’s just get this over with”, Rex said decisively.
But this sparks concern on Evelyn’s expression, “He might die if he gets caught, although it’s a well thought plan I will still be worried if I were you. It all depends on him”
Rex chuckles upon hearing this,
“He won’t be easily killed, so don’t worry about that”, Rex replied.
He then glances at Evelyn with a mysterious smile, “If you think this is the most dangerous thing he has ever done, then you’re dead wrong. Don’t forget, he and I came from the same place”
Evelyn can only wonder what Rex means by that.
After saying that,
Rex to the outside of the university before he asks, “How’s the situation outside? Have you created a way for me just like I told you? “
“The Atkins are crawling outside, it’s tough to go past them”, Evelyn replied.
Rex then glances at her with a cheeky smile, “But you manage to create a path for me, is that why you’re smiling right now?”
“Of course, I can handle it”, Evelyn replied with the same cheeky smile.
A moment later,
The moonlight descends down from the sky as Rex went through the back of the university following Evelyn, both of them are sneaking in the middle of the night.
Although Rex asks about the situation outside, he already knows the answer before Evelyn replies thanks to the system.
Just when the sun was about to go down,
The system’s notification alerted Rex that there are many people with malicious intent surrounding the university, it’s definitely the Atkins without a doubt.
With the display of the powerful phenomenon of Rex upgrading his element,
Surely the Atkins will want to hasten their plans since Rex is improving very fast, this results in the Atkins crawling around the university waiting for Rex or the others to go outside.
‘I already sent them a Great Spellbook, so they must be daring because of that’, Rex thought.
Just like the courtesy, he said to Wesley, Rex really did send Wesley the spellbook he promised and this will make Wesley thinks that Rex is really compromising.
But thanks to the system’s warning, he’s definitely not compromising.
The Atkins is already at the point of doing everything they can,
Rex knows this since the killing intent quest from the system, and because of that, he needs to be careful to go outside of the city since there is some seventh rank Awakened amongst the Atkins.
Even Wesley himself is an eighth rank powerful Awakened,
Added with the mid Ultimate Element that Rex currently had and other enhancements, Rex still can’t fight Wesley head-on, heck he probably still can’t fight a peak seventh rank Awakened.
Evelyn leads Rex through the back of the university,
Many people from the Luc Family are already waiting for Evelyn as she leads Rex, the both of them need to sneak away in order for the Atkins to not be alerted.
Rex asks Evelyn to help him create a path so that he can bypass the Atkins around the university.
“After going past the Liontin Nightclub, we should be safe although we still need to be careful”, Evelyn said as they both dashed through the city street.
Both of them are wearing mostly black, and their clothes blended well with the surroundings.
While they were heading towards the relatively safe place that Evelyn said, Rex suddenly saw a person standing on top of a building and that person spotted them.
“Evelyn! On your right!”, Rex said with a fierce glint.
Hearing this, Evelyn glanced to the right and saw the person on top of a building.
She then clicked her tongue in displeasure as she said, “We need to make sure that guy is not from the Atkins, If he is then we’ll have to dispose of him”
The Atkins stationed many of their men around the university only for one thing only,
It’s clear that they’re here as a stationed post to notify Wesley if Rex ever came out of the university, and letting this guy go will just put the Atkins on their backs.
After the guy noticed that Rex and Evelyn are heading toward him,
The guy immediately dashes away trying to escape them, but Rex was not about to let that guy go since it will be troublesome if Wesley knew he was outside.
With the upgrade of his elements,
Rex created a perfect smoke that will make Wesley thinks he will be crawled into the university.
Anyone who just upgraded their element into an Ultimate Element will definitely train to master the elements, so Rex needs to keep Wesley thinking that way as he moves around.
‘Let’s try the new element’, Rex thought as he quirked up a smile.
BLITZ!!
Rex uses the Flash Spell and finds that his flash effect got enhanced a couple of times, it’s all thanks to the new sky black lightning.
In just a blink of an eye,
Rex disappeared from his spot, Evelyn didn’t even sense Rex’s movement.
He then reappears beside the guy who is widening his eyes upon seeing Rex already catch up to him, they are a couple of miles apart but it was closed in less than a second!
Upon arriving beside the guy, Rex smiles evilly, “Where are you going?”
BAM!
With just a swipe of Rex’s hand, the guy got sent back to the rooftop of the building he was on before while coughing blood from his mouth.
The punch from Rex landed on the guy solidly,
It didn’t take long for Evelyn to also arrived beside Rex, “You’re insane, your element just been upgraded but you can still use such a precise spell?”
“Why? Are you jealous?”, Rex replied teasingly.
But this makes Evelyn chuckle as she glances at the guy, “Let me check on him”
After opening the guy’s upper clothes, Evelyn found a tattoo on his lower back before she stands up, “He’s from the Atkins Family…”
“Oh?”, Rex mumbles with a wide grin.
Seeing this, the guy who has his entire chest turned blue signing that his ribs are broken raises his arms slowly, “Please, don’t kill me… I’m begging you!”, he said pleadingly.
Rex only looks at the guy with the same grin as he said, “Blame Wesley for this”
SPLAT!
While controlling his new power, Rex punches the guy right on his chest as his arm penetrates through the guy’s body killing him instantly.

Just like that, Rex killed the guy with a flick of his fist.
After killing the guy, Rex puts the corpse to the side before he and Evelyn dash away.

Rex and Evelyn arrived in front of a building,
Upon looking at the building, Evelyn glance at Rex as she asks, “What are we doing here?”
“I’m going to meet one of the SCO higher-ups to discuss something, you can come inside with me if you want”, Rex said as he strode into the building.
This is Devan’s building that turned into one of the SCO’s properties,
Rex met with the Green Messenger once here, and since this is where his lab is located the Green Messenger must be here, ‘I doubt the Green Messenger helped with the preparation’
Although the SCO is preparing to meet with the UWO,
With how the Green Messenger usually acts and from Liliya’s description, it’s probably unlikely for the Green Messenger to help the SCO prepare.
The receptionist stands up when she saw Rex and Evelyn approaching her,
“What can I help you sir Rex?”, the receptionist asks.
Rex is not surprised upon hearing the receptionist call his name, he then leans closer before he asks, “Is the Green Messenger here?”
“Please follow me”, the receptionist said as she escort them deeper into the building.
Rex and Evelyn are escorted to an escalator that leads to the same lab where Rex met with the Green Messenger last time, but this time the Green Messenger is not researching.
But he has his head on a table that makes Rex frown, ‘Is he asleep?’
The receptionist signals for them to leave the lift before she closes the lift.
Seeing the Green Messenger still wearing his crow mask with his head on the table makes Evelyn leans closer to Rex and whisper, “Isn’t that one of the angels of the SCO?”
“Messengers, they’re called the messengers”, Rex replied.
When the both of them approach the Green Messenger slowly, “Who is she, Rex?”, the both of them stopped in their tracks when they heard this.
“She’s an associate, she can be trusted”, Rex replied.
Hearing this, the Green Messenger stood and stared at Evelyn.
The green smoke still came out of his crow mask just like before, and thanks to the mask Evelyn felt nervous as she stood under the Green Messenger’s gaze.
Although the Green Messenger doesn’t let out his aura,
Evelyn can feel that the Green Messenger is very strong just from looking at him alone, it’s almost the same feeling that she got from her father or even more, ‘So this is a messenger…’, she thought.
Rex then said to break the silence, “I’m here to ask you reg-“
“I know what you’re here for, and you’re going to be the new Green Messenger by my decree”, the Green Messenger said with an unbreakable tone.
This makes Rex frown, “But why sir? It’s not like I’m as strong as you”
“I don’t like leading my own team, I’m just forced by the king to do this. So you’ll be my replacement, don’t worry you’re not going to be restricted since I’m still your leader”
“The Green Team is made just for research purposes, so I’ll just give you the mission just like before and if the other green plebe needs help you’ll be the one who will help them. You can even send your friends to help them if you want”, the Green Messenger said.
Rex deliberates for a moment,
Based on his experience with the Green Messenger, it’s not that bad to do the mission given by the Green Messenger since it’s for the better of humanity.
It’ll add more workload on him but he should be able to manage,
Rex then finally said, “If that’s the case, I have a proposal”
“Why is it always a proposal for you… Go on, What is it?”, the Green Messenger said with a sigh.
But when Rex was about to continue, the Green Messenger suddenly added, “If this proposal requires me to leave the lab, then the answer is no. I don’t want to hear it”
“Sir! You owe me for replacing you!”, Rex rebutted.
Hearing this, the Green Messenger glanced at him, “You’re a part of the SCO, so I don’t owe you”
“Then I haven’t been rewarded for realizing the alliance between the organizations, Where is it?”, Rex asks folding his arms in front of him.
Green Messenger glance at Rex in disbelief, “It’s for the greater of humanity”
“I also don’t need to be rewarded by the organization but… Surely helping me once as a formality from you is not too much”, Rex said making the Green Messenger stop on his track, there was a momentary pause which makes Rex sweat.
He’s afraid that he said something he shouldn’t have,
The Green Messenger’s crow mask points at Rex for a couple of long seconds before he then finally said, “Fine, just this once I’ll listen to this proposal of yours as a formality”
Meanwhile,
Edward is walking like a madman through the street, he just got off a bus and get out in another sector as he proceed to walk through the street.
There’s an urgency in his expression, it’s natural since his family is gone.
It didn’t take long for Edward to stop in front of a building on the side of the street, there are many musical instruments on display through the glass door.
The sounds of musical instruments playing can be heard in the background,
It’s clear that this place is where people take music lessons, but instead of the building, Edward stopped right across from the building while looking at a teenager.
The teenager looks to be around seventeen or eighteen years old,
Edward looks at the teenager from across the street as the teenager got picked up by a person, and from looking at this person Edward immediately recognize him, ‘Hans…’
