Rex clenched his hands a couple of times, he can feel the changes in his body evidently as his element turns into the Sky Black True Lightning.
It’s a mid Ultimate Element that inherits the True Lightning from the Warden of the Sky.
‘Although it’s not a peak Ultimate Element, it’s still enough to support me to the ninth rank without needing any upgrade’, Rex thought as he nodded his head.
Rex expected the element will be a peak Ultimate Element,
Since Devo said that this Warden of the Sky is considered a god in Skygate City where Devo comes from, but turns out it’s a mid Ultimate Element instead.
But seeing that the element matches Devo, Rex is not that bummed.
Aside from that, after inspecting himself Rex has found that his power rises tremendously, ‘I reach the peak sixth rank thanks to that, just a tad more to reach the seventh rank’, he thought.
Thanks to the spirit core that is formed from the intense lightning mana gathered.
Rex jumped from being an early sixth rank straight to the peak of sixth rank like a monster, it is a natural process thanks to the True Lightning element.
While Rex is inspecting his body, another notification suddenly appears,

Upgrading his element into the Sky Black True Lightning completes another achievement from the system, Rex is even more ecstatic as he checks out the two items that he got.
<Sky Imprisonment – Ultimate Spell>
Summon the power of the sky to bound a target that has intelligence lower than 200% of the user’s intelligence, the bounded target will not be able to move until the spell is canceled. This Ultimate Spell consumes an immense amount of mana, and can only be used once a day. The times used per day will increase as the user got stronger.
<Lightning Spirit Ego>
The Lightning Spirit Ego is a tenth rank item capable of strengthening any lightning-based spirit associated with an Awakened, it is birthed from sacrificing 1,000 low and high lightning spirits. Absorbing the Spirit Ego will fortify the spirit core resulting in an increase in energy of the spirit and the spirit energy that can be stored in the spirit core.
Rex reads both items and found that both are very powerful items.
One is an Ultimate Spell that Rex has never heard of before while the other is a tenth rank item, but the one that attracted Rex the most is the Lightning Spirit Ego.
Devo once said that spirit can’t be strengthened aside from living naturally,
But the Lightning Spirit Ego breaks his words since this item can strengthen a spirit, this alone shocks Rex as he didn’t expect he got another tenth rank item as it’s been so long since he got the last tenth rank item.
Without wasting any time, Rex immediately opens his stats tab.
The system shows Rex the stats with the 30% reduction from failing the Killing Intent quest, even though Rex asks the system to ignore the 30% reduction and show his regular stats.

Upon looking at his stats, Rex widen his eyes when he saw the intelligence stat.
The intelligence stat went from almost the lowest stat he has after mental and agility to the highest stat, it is all thanks to the Ultimate Element and also for reaching the peak sixth rank.
Aside from that, his other stats are also increased slightly.
One of the noticeable changes is the agility stat that seems to rise the most out of the other physical stat, it almost doubled in stat from the last time Rex checked.
Rex looks at his stats as he thought, ‘If I meet Durrant with my current self…’
‘I will obliterate him, I don’t even need to turn into my Werewolf form to deal with him’
Since Rex possesses the Sovereign of the Night passive skill that will increase his stats by 130% and 200% during Werewolf form, Rex can match Durrant’s stats without turning into his Werewolf form unlike before.
This just shows how much stronger he got in such a small amount of time,
Even the descendants that are already behind him got even left out, if before they can’t compare to Rex, now they all are nothing to Rex with his ridiculous stats.
With his stats, he’s at least comparable to the strongest of the early seventh rank.
Rex has never seen anyone’s stats who has power stronger than the early seventh rank, so he’s not quite sure where he fares against the mid-seventh rank.
But when he was about to ask the system, two-person landed beside him.
The two people that landed beside Rex are none other than Linda and Vargas, they watched Rex upgrade his element from start to finish.
Linda is covered by Vargas’ mana all the time so she can watch all the way to the end.
Upon noticing Vargas’ gaze, Rex turns his body towards Vargas before he bowed, “Sir Vargas, I’m sorry for my recklessness in upgrading my element in the university”
“Don’t bother, it can be fixed in a matter of hours”, Vargas replied waving his hand.
But then Vargas then looks at Rex curiously, “You manage to upgrade your element, and you even reach the peak of sixth rank realm. Your development is quite terrifying”
“You praise me too much sir, I’m just preparing myself to fight the Supernatural”, Rex said.
Hearing this, Vargas knows what Rex means before Rex added, “The alliance between the UWO and SCO will definitely spark our movement, so I’m just preparing for when that happened”
“Actually, I’m here regarding that”, Vargas suddenly said.
Vargas takes an envelope from his suit pocket before he gave it to Rex, “That is the official date and invitation of the meeting with the SCO, you’re invited to come”
“If I have the time, I’ll be there sir”, Rex replied.
This makes Vargas stop for a moment before suddenly Adhara and Edward appear, they both came from the outside of the training ground and saw Rex.
Looking at this, Vargas caged what he was about to say and pointed at them.
“Your friends are here, that’s all I’m here for so I will be leaving. I’m expecting great things from you”, Vargas said before he vanishes from sight alongside Linda.
After Vargas leave, Rex kneels on the ground tiredly.
His power raised tremendously but his body is still fatigued from the event before, ‘The new lightning is still hard to control, I need to get used to it first’, Rex thought.
Both Edward and Adhara approach him from the side,
“Rex! Did your element reaches the Ultimate Element?”, Adhara asks from the side.
Hearing this, Rex nodded his head as he conjure a spark of black lightning that has a hint of yellow strands in the middle as it started blitzing around his hand.
The new black lightning surprises Adhara and Edward as they marvel at it,
Edward then added, “Why are you upgrading your element here? You’re destroying the place”
“About that…”
Rex and the two went back to their room as the robots and other university personnel started to fix the place, it was shocking to see how fast they work.
While they’re walking back together, the student’s gazes are following them.
This doesn’t come as a surprise since the shockwave and energy coming from Rex upgrading his element wakes every student that is inside the university.
Adhara then said with a frown, “You’re warning the Atkins and Reed Family?”
“Yes, I don’t really want to fight them so this is my last and final warning. With this, they know that I’m not someone to be underestimated”, Rex replied with a sigh.
But this makes Adhara frown, “Didn’t you go to the Atkins to compromise?”
“Wesley lied to me, but I’m still trying to make them forget about ou-“, Rex didn’t finish his sentence when he realize that Edward suddenly stopped on his track.
They almost reach back to Rex’s room but Edward suddenly stopped,
Seeing this, Rex glance back at Edward with a frown, “Edward? What are you doing?”
Adhara is also looking at Edward in confusion, somehow she finds that Edward has a darkened look but she finds that his emotional aura is weird.
“Let’s talk more in the room, Why are you just standing there?”, Adhara asks.
But then suddenly, Edward opens his mouth, “Rex…”
“I told you that the Reed Family can’t be forgiven, they attacked my home alongside Zelene and my uncle. It’s a personal vendetta for me”, he added with a heavy tone.
Hearing this, Rex turns to his back with a frown, “It’s Ari you’re after, not the Reed Family”
“There’s a chance that what we thought is true, but there’s also a chance that the Reed Family is the one that told Ari to do that. And you’re giving them another chance?”, Edward asks again.
The anger inside his tone can’t be hidden as he glares at Rex,
Looking at this, Adhara started to get confused, “Edward, you need more proof so Rex can’t be blamed just for warning them. Besides, we’ll deal with them eventually”
Without answering Adhara, Edward approaches Rex slowly.
Edward then stopped right in front of Rex looking directly at his eyes, “If it’s your family, you wouldn’t be this merciful, and now? Since it’s my family you’re going to let them go?”
Rex stood at his spot while looking at Edward calmly,
The eye contact went on alongside the tension as Rex finally said, “You know that is not what I meant, just follow my plans and you’ll get your revenge”
Upon hearing this, Edward finally turns his head away reluctantly.
After the slight problem they had, Edward separated from them as Rex and Adhara got back to the room awkwardly since Edward’s anger came out of nowhere.
Rex glanced to the left when he was about to enter his room,
There’s a frown on his face when he realizes something, ‘He heard that huh?’
Inside the room,
Adhara paces around with a worried look while Rex is sitting on the sofa calmly, she then looks at Rex in disbelief, “Why are you calm like that? Edward is angry with you!”
“Calm down, he’s just overreacting”, Rex replied with a calm tone, Gistella poked out of the room after hearing them argue.
But the calm tone makes Adhara angrier instead,
When Adhara was about to get say something in anger, the door suddenly jolted open.
“REX!!”
Edward called as he enters the room, his expression is that of a crazed one as he power-walked toward Rex before he grabs Rex’s collar, “MY UNCLE AND ZELENE ARE GONE!!”
“What do you mean?”, Rex asks in confusion.
But Edward repeated again with an angry tone, “THEY’RE NOT ON MY ROOM!!”
Hearing this, Adhara widen her eyes in realization as she runs out of the room, “Ari! Ari! Where the hell are you?!”, she called but Ari never came.
Even the other Reed Family members are not there,
Rex walks out of the room alongside Edward, “IT’S THE FUCKING REED FAMILY! I’M GOING TO SKIN THEM ALL ALIVE!”, Edward shouted angrily.
But Rex grab his shoulder, “Don’t be reckless, let’s make sure it’s really them”
“It’s clear that it’s the Reed Family, Where are they right now if not kidnapping my uncle and Zelene?!”, Edward shrugged Rex’s hand off as he started to storm off.
Rex grabs his shoulder again but out of nowhere,
BAM!
His eyes widen when his head suddenly got tilted to the right,
Edward punched Rex out of anger as his chest heaved up and down, “Just like I said earlier! If this is your family, you wouldn’t hesitate to destroy them all!!”
“So stop getting in my way!”, he added before leaving the place hurriedly.
Seeing this, Adhara grabbed Rex and pulls him to face her, “Are you serious?! He’s your only friend, and you didn’t even look concerned at all?”, she asks in utter disbelief.
For Edward’s family to be kidnapped, Rex doesn’t look troubled at all.
It’s shocking Adhara to her core to see him acting like this,
“There’s a high probability that the Reed Family kidnap them but the Atkins might’ve done it too since you provide a great distraction earlier, we need to help Edward!”, Adhara said.
But Rex stopped him, “This might be a trap to lure us out”
“Even still! This is Edward’s family for god’s sake!”, Adhara replied angrily.
Instead of letting Adhara go, Rex holds onto Adhara before he emits his alpha aura, “I’m commanding you to stay in the room, let me handle it. This is too dangerous”
Without having no other choice,
Adhara shrug Rex’s hand off before she went back into the room angrily.
She’s mostly disappointed with Rex’s choices when Edward’s family is literally kidnapped, and they might die at any moment if they’re not rescued fast.
After she went inside,
Rex didn’t go back inside the room and stayed on his spot, ‘So it begins…’, he thought before shaking his head.
Meanwhile, Wind Sorcerers Guild.
Inside Wesley’s room, the door suddenly jolted open as a man stepped inside the room hurriedly.
Hearing his room get opened roughly, Wesley who is sitting on his chair leisurely wanted to scold the person that got inside but he stopped when he heard what the man said.
“Sir Wesley! There’s news regarding the Faraday University!”, the man said.
Wesley frown while clasping his hands before the man explains, “Faraday University has undergone a phenomenon which shows that someone is upgrading their element into an Ultimate Element, the scale of the phenomenon spans miles to the surrounding!”
“What?! Who could’ve done that in a university?”, Wesley asks in surprise.
But the man then replied, “The Ultimate Element is associated with Lightning Element sir, there’s no mistaken the one who caused this…”
“Rex Silverstar…”, Wesley mumbles with a darkened look.
The realization that Rex has just upgraded his element into an Ultimate Element which opens the door to reaching higher rank, Wesley jolted up from his seat.
With murderous intent, he then said, “We’ll move up our plan!”
“Rex can’t be left longer, he must be dealt with as soon as possible. Keep an eye on Faraday University, the moment he left the university will be the moment we’ll strike”
“Tell the Wind Knights to get ready, we will proceed as our plan”, Wesley commanded.
The man then asked, “What about young Igor?”
“Put more men guarding Igor, although it seems Rex wanted to compromise there’s still a chance he will snatch Igor as proof of my unloyalty to Daniel Burton. I don’t want him to fall to Rex’s hand!”, Wesley replied decisively.
Hearing this, the man bowed and left the room.
As for Wesley, he sat back down to his chair roughly, ‘His improvements are too fast!’
