The next day,
Rex got out of his room after finding that Adhara is not in his room, he then walks out before he stopped right in front of Kyran’s room.
‘Kyran is not here right now’, Rex thought.
After that, he walks toward the room before gently opening it.
The room is still the same just as when Rex last saw the room, he scans around the room and finds that Ryze is looking out the window to the sunny sky.
With gentle steps, Rex approaches him.
Since Ryze is daydreaming while looking at the clear blue sky, he didn’t hear the door opening but he soon realized that someone is approaching him from the back.
“Rex…?”, Ryze mumbles in surprise.
It’s been quite a while since the last time he saw Rex and even when he got back, Rex doesn’t have the time to talk to Ryze about everything that is happening around him.
With a smile, Rex then puts his hand on Ryze’s head, “What are you doing?”
“Nothing…”, Ryze replied meekly.
But Rex can only smile as he looks out of the window, he then saw that many people crowding the streets and they all are decorating the street.
,m Looking at this, Rex was confused, “Is there an event during this time?”
The people of sector 3E decorate the street with sun symbols, some of them even wear different kinds of costumes of a phoenix, dragon, and all kinds of mythical creatures.
It’s weird to see since these creatures exist in the current time,
Just like the Dragonman in the other part of the world, they are a high-rank Supernatural with thick skins and some of them can even turn into an actual dragon just like the legend.
So looking at this, it’s ironic in Rex’s opinion for these people to wear such costumes.
“They’re not wearing the costumes for the creatures, but they’re wearing them for what the creatures represent. So don’t judge them like that”, Ryze explains from the side.
Hearing this, Rex can only smile wryly, “Is it that obvious?”
Ryze nodded his head since Rex’s expression stated clearly that he didn’t like this event.
“Then what kind of event is this? What are they celebrating for?”, Rex asks in confusion, he’s not from sector 3E so he doesn’t know the culture here.
With that, Ryze then explains, “It’s the God’s Lenience Celebration”
“Some people believe that during this time of the year is when God lends a helping hand to humanity, the sun will inherit the god’s power and weaken all destructive creatures. Which is why the people celebrate while wearing those kinds of costumes”
Rex then asks the system after hearing this, ‘Is the celebration real?’

Seeing this, Rex hesitates for a moment but then he thought, ‘If it costs gold to purchase, then it might be important right? Maybe this is related to the Supernatural’
After deliberating for a moment, Rex then said yes.

With a bashful face, Ryze then replied, “I went to the library to read a lot, It’s a hobby”
Upon hearing this, Rex rubs his chin while looking at Ryze, ‘If that’s the case, maybe he can fill the time to research since I don’t have any time’
“Can you help me with something?”, Rex asks.
Hearing this, Ryze looks up at Rex before Rex continues, “If you have the time, try searching anything regarding an entity called Countess of the Dark Luniric. Try searching for it in folklore or maybe an entity related to Supernaturals like Werewolves”
Ryze frown upon hearing this but he eventually nodded his head,
‘If I can find the information myself, then I won’t have to buy it from the system’, Rex thought as he looks at the notification in front of him.

The price to buy the information costs an astonishing 100 million gold, if converted, this amount is equivalent to ten billion dollars which is something that Rex can’t possibly purchase right now.
This is why if Ryze is able to find even a clue then it’ll be very good,
After asking Ryze to search the information regarding the Countess of the Dark Luniric, Rex then suddenly said, “I heard about the sniper, can it possibly be your brother?”
The sudden change of topic makes Ryze looks down in thought,
“I don’t know…but as long as I remember my brother can’t use guns”, Ryze shakes his head.
But even though Ryze said it’s unlikely to be his brother, the fact that this skulled mask person is aiming for Ryze can’t help but make them think that it’s Ryze’s brother.
For someone so desperately searching for Ryze, there should be no other explanation.
“If this sniper really is your brother, you’re not alone in this world. You can let him explain and go with him after you reconcile”, Rex said after a moment of thought.
Hearing this, Ryze shakes his head, “I don’t want to! He’s not my brother!”
Rex looks at Ryze with a troubled look for a moment, without saying anything he then walks out of the door leaving Ryze alone again in his room.
After leaving the door, Rex looks down with a sigh.
“You have someone to lean on… You’re not like me”, Rex mutters silently.
But his thought was stopped when the entrance door was opened, Adhara got inside the room and she saw the sad aura around Rex but it instantly vanishes.
“Have you talked with Ryze?”, Adhara asks seeing that Rex is in front of Ryze’s room.
Rex nodded his head before he replied, “If that sniper came again, don’t kill him. I’m going to talk to him regarding Ryze”
“What’s wrong with Ryze?”, Adhara asks again.
But Rex didn’t answer which makes Adhara confused, “I’ve been wondering if you don’t have any plans with Ryze why would you keep him around?”
The conversation he had with Kyran a couple of nights before is still stuck in her mind,
Kyran said that he’s also wondering why would Rex keep Ryze around them when he doesn’t even keep Rosie who is obviously more helpful than Ryze who literally stays in his room all day.
It’s weird the more Adhara thought about it,
If Ryze is not useful, it’s more like Rex if he suddenly just gives some money to Ryze and kicks him out of the house but he didn’t.
Rex stopped for a moment, he looks at Adhara before he turns his head away.
“I’m going to train in the training ground, don’t bother me if it’s not urgent. The high fire elemental stones will be delivered here shortly, take them and hurry to reach the sixth rank”, Rex said before he walk past Adhara and left the room.
Seeing Rex avoiding her question, Adhara frown as she becomes even more confused.
“Just what the hell is the reason he keeps Ryze around?”, Adhara mumbles.
After leaving the room,
Rex wanted to head to the training ground but he stopped mid-track, “Why are you eavesdropping on our conversation?”
“I’m not, I just came at the wrong moment”, Edward replied from the side.
When Rex is talking with Adhara inside the room, Rex already felt Edward wanting to come inside but he stopped when he saw Adhara and Rex talking.
It seems serious so Edward doesn’t want to disturb and waited,
Rex then said without turning his body towards Edward, “Did you hear us?”
“I don’t know, but I do hear that she’s asking you as to why you’re keeping Ryze around when you didn’t even try to nurture him properly”, Edward said with a slight smirk.
Hearing this, Rex’s body stiffens as he looks up and sighs.
Edward glanced at him before he added, “Isn’t it time for Adhara to know of your parents?”
“Your real parents…”, Edward added with a sharp glance.
But Rex didn’t answer as he only stayed at his spot unmoving, Edward then sigh helplessly, “I know he’s alone, but it’s not your responsibility to take care of him”
“You don’t understand what it feels to be really alone”, Rex replied lightly.
After saying that, Rex proceed his walk towards the training ground as he added, “Just do me a favor and keep Ryze company, I’ll figure out what to do with him”
“Don’t forget, we’ll take action after I come back”
Edward shakes his head with a sigh, “You’re just really stubbo he mumbles before he went inside the room.
Moments later,
Rex is inside one of the quiet rooms in the training ground,
He’s currently meditating with a pile of high lightning elemental stones around him, there is a system notification in front of him that he’s currently reading.
<Warden of the Sky Core>
Warden of the Sky has the ability to descend the judgment of the sky to maintain the balance of the sky, nothing can escape the eyes of the sky. Warden of the Sky Core possesses the insight into the True Lightning used by the Warden, powerful enough to split the sky and thundering enough to shake the ground with its might.
Reading this, Rex can’t help but smile.
Although he knows the way to reach the seventh rank, he still can’t progress further if he doesn’t have at least an early Ultimate Element.
His black lightning is only a peak great element,
Many of the descendants that have already reached the sixth rank possess an Ultimate Element, but they all have an early ultimate element that still can bring them up to the ninth rank.
Rex can only overpower them thanks to his unnatural mana and spirit.
Only thanks to Devo’s spirit energy help him to shorten the gap between them.
Devo is mostly the reason why his black lightning can fight against other higher-ranked elements, but even then Rex can only do so much with his black lightning element.
The sheer frightening amount of mana he possesses inside his media can also oppress the descendants even though they have a higher rank element, added with their fear of Rex’s bodily strength also gives Rex a psychological advantage,
He can only rely on his bodily strength to defeat the descendants,
If not thanks to him being a Werewolf with frightening body power coupled with the red force, Rex won’t be able to match the descendants in a battle of spells.
Opponents in the sixth rank realm don’t even get disturbed by the black lightning,
The black lightning should possess the power to disturb any spells upon hit, but now Rex needs to not only hit the opponent but also weaken them for the effect to work.
But with this Warden of the Sky Core, Rex can reach a higher rank element.
‘Aren’t you somekind of Warden of the Sky too?’, Rex asks.
Then a voice inside of Rex’s head appears, [Of course I am, Why are you asking that?]
‘I’m going to upgrade my element to an ultimate one, and I have an item called Warden of the Sky Core that has True Lightning inside of it. Is this Warden of the Sky you?’, Rex asks again.
Since Devo is the gatekeeper of the clouds, then he might be this Warden of the Sky.
But upon hearing this, Devo went silent.
The silence makes Rex frown before Devo replies, [I’m not exactly the Warden of the Sky, How should I put this…]
[His majesty is a legend in the Skygate City]
Hearing this, Rex becomes even more intrigued, ‘Majesty? Is he somekind of King?’
[No…Not quite a king, his majesty is more like a lightning god than a king], Devo replied which makes Rex’s eyes widen before a smirk appears on his face.
‘System, How do I upgrade by element?’, Rex asks with a smile.
A moment later,
Rex follows the system’s instructions as many runes are engraved on the sandy ground inside the quiet room, he’s already sitting in the middle of the drawn runes.
Unlike the last time, he upgrades his element into black lightning.
The process of reaching the ultimate element is the same but way more than the last time.
Items to upgrade the elements like last time are needed such as holy elixir and also elemental string elixir which both need to be eighth rank ones.
Aside from that, Rex also buys the necessary runes to contain the ultimate element.
Rex also spent the rest of his gold to its last number to buy the last ingredient, the last preparation needed is the temporary True Body Water which puts his body into the True Body Constitution because the Warden of the Sky Core possesses the True Lightning element.
It’s not a fragment of the essence just like Adhara’s but a true Lightning element.
Following the system’s instruction, Rex stretches his hand as the runes that circle around him started to glow and the energies from it starting to merge together.
Defensive, Amplification, Barrier, Anti-Energy, all of these runes merge together.
The mix of these runes creates a building-high barrier that blasted the roof of the room Rex is in right now, it attracted all the attention from people around the university as a translucent barrier burst from the university’s building.
Upon looking at the barrier, Rex was surprised.
‘I can’t break out of this barrier easily even if I wanted to, is it really necessary?’, Rex thought.
But then, a voice interrupted him.
[If what you’re saying is true that you’re going to upgrade your element to his majesty’s lightning, then this pitiful barrier won’t last long]
‘What?! But I don’t have anything else’, Rex said as he already exhausted his gold.
There are other more appropriate runes for this in the system’s shop, but his gold is insufficient so he can only buy this much and the system’s said that this is the minimum barrier.
But it seems Devo finds this to be pitiful,
Devo then said, [At least you must draw the sacred lightning rune in the middle, I can help you just follow my instruction to draw it]
With that, Rex draws a symbol in the middle of the barrier formation he’s making.
The symbol is shaped like a combination of lightning, clouds, and an eye and after completing it a spark of powerful lightning exploded from the runes.

Rex was thrown back as the lightning merged with the barrier,
Upon feeling the barrier, Rex finds that even if his black lightning is ten or even a hundred times stronger he won’t be able to break free from this barrier.
‘System, Will the barrier holds so as to not destroy the university?’
<Probability of the energy leaking out is reduced greatly, the probability of destroying the university is 10%>
After confirming with the system, Rex then sits down in a meditative state.
10% probability is low enough for Rex to not destroy the entire university, it’s one of his concerns that this might happen since even the barrier is already this strong.
He then summoned the Warden of the Sky Core,

A black circular core appeared on top of Rex’s head that is the size of a car,
The black core is emitting a smokey blue aura with blue lightning that is the shape of a snake or a dragon hovering around it, the energy coming from it is horrifying.
Even Rex felt his breathing becomes suppressed,
‘Won’t I die if I absorb that thing’s lightning?’, Rex thought in utter disbelief.
Now that he summons the Warden of the Sky Core, the confidence he had in his Werewolf body diminishes as the lightning mana is crashing onto his body.
Even the entire university and the surroundings got suppressed,
The Awakened around was jolted in shock upon feeling the immense suppression, Adhara and Edward are not the exceptions as they both walk slowly out of the room.
“What is this? It’s pressing my body to the ground!”, Adhara exclaimed.
Hearing this, Edward also agrees as they both got out of the room and saw that the entire students also got out strugglingly from their rooms.
All of their eyes were attracted to the training ground,
The suppressing lightning energy comes from there, Edward and Adhara can’t help but sucked in a cold breath as they realize who is the source of this immense energy.
BOOM!!
A lightning shockwave cracked the university’s wall around the training ground.
Many of the robots inside the university went to the training ground alongside the lecturers, they all head to the training ground including Vargas who is coincidentally in the university.
Edward and Adhara look at each other as they thought of the same person, “Rex?!”
