Rex and the others went back from the secret route,
Nothing happened along the way except for the weird wandering demon that he killed before, the demon still stuck in his mind because it’s very odd to find a demon here.
It’s like the demon came here for a reason, and he doesn’t like this at all.
‘That demon only stalks from the darkness, and it intends to run when it saw me disappear. Something is fishy’, Rex thought as the cold night wind brushes his face.
Delta is galloping like a wild animal heading to Eqosa City,
Just from afar Rex can already see Eqosa City above the hill beside the forest where Rex fought with Durrant’s company before, he even passes that same place.
Rex looks to the side and finds the place is still the same as when he left,
Although the battle scars left by Rex’s fight against Durrant’s company destroy the place, there are still many impaled corpses that are still standing amongst the rubble.
The tall black cross is also still standing which makes Rex a bit unsettled.
It looks the same as before, but Rex feels that something changed but he just can’t quite put his finger on it which makes him a bit dizzy.
But he then shakes his head,
‘I’ll come back tomorrow to deal with this, the sight is not right’, Rex thought as Delta dashes to Eqosa City which is already near them.
Gistella also looks at the side as she remembers the fight they had before,
Now that there’s nothing she must do, she started to think about how her world got changed dramatically from coming here to attack Eqosa City to saving Eqosa City.
She even turns into a Werewolf even though she’s an Undead before,
While thinking this, Gistella can’t help but look up to the moonlight as she feels a weird warmth on her skin coming from the moonlight that teases her senses.
Just from the weird sensation alone, it’s clear that she’s not an Undead anymore.
It didn’t take long for Delta to gallop to the foot of Eqosa City,
Rex saw a couple of Awakened guarding the foot of Eqosa City, the Awakened is not visible as they were hiding but Rex can already feel their eyes looking at him.
Stopping at the foot of the hill, Rex then said, “I’m a part of the descendants that were sent here”
“Rex Silverstar, please let me into the city”, he added.
Hearing this, two Awakened suddenly appear in front of Rex clad in a black uniform that almost makes them look like a ninja, ‘They’re quite good at hiding, their presence is the same as Kyran’s’
“We’ve been told to wait for you, please stand here”, one of the guards said.
The guard points at a circle on the ground which looks ordinary, but Rex follows the guard’s instruction as he’s very tired and needs to rest for now.
Even his eyes are heavy even though he’s not at a particularly safe place right now,
After stepping on the circle mark on the ground, there’s a faint light emitted from the ground before Rex and the others disappear from the place.
They then materialize in front of a tall wall,
Just from the looks of things, Rex already realizes that they’re teleported to the top of the hill in front of Eqosa City’s wall that looks damaged from the war against the Undeads and Vampires.
Rex can already see a bunch of carcass on his side that are being dealt with,
The stench of death and blood still lingers in the air as Rex and the others made their way to the wall, they are checked by an Awakened before they’re let through inside the city.
“Please follow me to your rest quarter, the others are there too”, one of the guards said.
Hearing this, Rex signals the guard to lead the way as the guard started to travel into the city with Rex and Gistella on top of Delta behind him.
Assessing the city’s condition, Rex is quite surprised.
Some of the city buildings near the entrance of the city are destroyed, just from this alone Rex already knows that the Supernatural manage to break the city’s defense.
But the deeper they got, the buildings becomes fine.
This also shows that the Supernatural that got inside the city managed to be fended off, ‘I can only feel a couple of seventh rank Awakened here, the city is in a really bad condition’
Aside from that, the city folks here are in bad condition too.
Because of the siege coming from the Vampire and Undead that just ended not too long ago, the city folks can be seen to be starving judging from their bodies’ condition.
The guards said that the supply from UWO will arrive in a couple of days.
Rex frown upon hearing this since teleporting the supply here should be a choice, but if that’s an option then the UWO will not take this long just to send supply to help this city.
Upon seeing the giant body of Delta,
The city folks look at them with a surprised look, they all gave Rex a smile as he walks through the city street following the guard as they realized another powerful human is here to help.
While Rex is looking around,
“Is it okay if I want to ask you a question?”, the guard suddenly asks.
Hearing this, Rex nodded his head as they might just chat before arriving at the resting quarter, “Is it true that your team manage to defeat three companies of Undead including the seventh rank Undead’s company?”
“Yes we did, if not then why would we go back here?”, Rex replied nonchalantly.
But this makes the guard smile wryly as they resume their way to the resting quarter,
While they’re walking leisurely enjoying the night breeze, Rex suddenly remembered something he almost forgot thanks to the fatigue kicking in, “Who’s in charge here?”
“It’s an Awakened called Raul, Why are you asking?”, the guard asks back.
Rex then replied as Delta stops in her tracks, “Bring me to Raul first, I need to report to him about something which he might exploit to kick the Supernatural from this place once and for all”
The guard’s eyes widen as he nodded his head repeatedly and leads the way,
It didn’t take long before Rex arrives in front of a not too big office, the places filled with Awakened left and right and Rex also saw some black hands around here.
But the black hands are stationed outside of the office ground,
While the Awakened are inside as they talk with each other to take their minds off the desperate times even for a brief moment, ‘There’s a clear distinction here’, Rex thought with a sigh.
Although the UWO and SCO are about to sign the alliance,
The members of the two organizations are still not used to being side by side, Rex can see this clearly by the scene in front of him where Awakened only gather with Awakened and the same goes for the black hands.
Rex then got escorted inside the office ground,
Upon seeing Rex enters the office ground riding Delta, the Awakened and the black hands’ attention went towards him as they were surprised to see a Zeragon here.
A powerful one at that too since Delta is a peak sixth rank,
Rex got down from Delta as the guard escorted him inside the office, it didn’t take long before he enters a room which should be where Raul’s room was.
Before entering the room, Rex took out some things from the inventory.
Just like Vargas’ principal room at the Faraday University, Raul’s office room is inside the living space that was given to him as long as he defends Eqosa City.
It’s quite comfortable for a ruined city like this,
There’s no one inside this room after the guard left leaving Rex alone in front of the door to Raul’s office, he then puts the things he takes from the inventory and put it by the door.
After doing that, Rex then knock on the door and went inside.
Upon entering the room, Rex can see a middle-aged man wearing a blue turtleneck sweater.
The man is sitting behind his desk while clasping his hands on the desk in front of him, he’s looking at Rex who had just entered the room as his eyes scanned Rex up and down briefly before he said, “You wanted to report something to me”
“You also said it’s regarding the Supernatural and it can be exploited”
“You’re the leader of the descendant so I’m all ears now, speak the thing that you wanted to report to me if it’s useful for our situation”
Rex stands in front of the desk before he said, “I found the reinforcement route”
“If you can gather the Awakened and black hands here to go there soon enough, you might be able to ambush the reinforcement and kicks the Supernatural once and for all”, he added.
Hearing this, Raul squints his eyes before Rex explained to him
Rex told Raul about the secret passage that he found thanks to Nethuq the astral Undead that he killed before, it should be the same route just like Yolgos said.
“You’re saying that we must act now to seize this opportunity?”, Raul asks leaning to his chair.
With a serious look, Rex nodded his head as he finds this opportunity too good to pass up.
There’s not much opportunity to ambush the Werewolf reinforcement like this, even with the death of the entire Undead company the Werewolf might just occupy the place instead of the Undead company.
If that were to happen, Eqosa City will still be threatened to be seized by the Supernatural.
After deliberating about Rex’s proposal, Raul then gaze at Rex as he said, “So judging from the aura coming from outside this room, you manage to kill the three Undead company yes?”
“Including the seventh rank Undead?”
Raul can sense the intense death energy coming from outside of the room,
The thing that Rex takes out from the inventory is Durrant and the other strong Undead’s head, Raul might have a chance to doubt his team for killing three Undead companies.
That is why Rex takes those out from the inventory, just to show Raul.
“But even if the three companies of Undead are already gone, the UWO already reported that an army consisting of 10,000 Supernatural lead by three alphas are on the move. It’s also expected that at least a quarter of that will be sent here, there’s a chance one of the Alpha is amongst them”, Raul said with a frown.
Just like the UWO said, the Alpha has an eight rank power,
With the condition Eqosa City is in right now, they will have a hard time defending against an eight-rank Supernatural, especially an Alpha.
Although it’s unlikely for any Alpha to go here themselves,
The chance is still there and this might catch them off-guard, it will be a disaster if that were to happen and this city will certainly fall into the Supernatural hands.
Raul suddenly then mumbles, “We have guns with silver bullets from the SCO”
“It can potentially hurt the Alpha but just how can we ambush that Alpha, it will sense our movement before we even started”, he added with a frown.
But upon hearing this, Rex then smile, “You don’t need to think about that”
“Just gather the Awakened and black hands and take this opportunity to strike the Werewolf reinforcement first, make sure to load the silver bullets up because you’ll take at least a huge chunk of their numbers down”
A moment later,
Rex walks out of the office followed by Raul,
He’s holding Durrant and the strong Undead’s heads in his hand right now as he made a way out of the office where Gistella and Delta are waiting.
“Alright, gather the guys up! We’re going the offensive in ten!”, Raul shouted.
Upon hearing this, the Awakened and the black hands were caught off guard but seeing Raul is not playing around they immediately started to gear up without any questions.
Rex then mount Delta again as Raul said, “Just leave this to us, and thanks for the information”
“Your mission has already finished when you take out the Undead company, this is not your responsibility so you can just go rest here”, he added.
Hearing this, Rex nodded his head as he replied, “Good luck!”
After saying that, Rex then follows the same guard again as he heads to the resting quarter.
His body is already screaming telling him to rest, and he will do just that because tomorrow he still has things to do before going back and he needs all the strength he has.

Meanwhile, Faraday University.
The door into Rex’s room opened as Adhara jolted up from her seat, she immediately rushes to the door and finds Edward walking in weakly.
“Edward! Where have you been!”, Adhara asks in worry.
Hearing this, Edward smiled wryly as he looks at Adhara in embarrassment, “I jinxed myself, I got attacked by Hans but I manage to deal with it”, he replied.
This makes Adhara fuming in anger but she suddenly saw two figure behind him,
“Hello sister!”
“I’m sorry for disturbing you late at night”
Adhara saw the same girl and old man that she recognized to be Edward’s family, they look fine but she can still see their emotional aura is that of absolute shock.
It’s obvious that they just went through hell to get here, they’re still shaken.
“Come inside, you two must be still surprised by what you’ve seen”, Adhara said lightly as she signals for them to get inside the room.
Adhara called the maids and butlers to tend to Zelene and the old man.
While they’re being treated by the maids and the butlers, Adhara pulls Edward before they both sits on the sofa with Adhara looking at Edward questioningly.
After sitting on the sofa near the entrance,
Edward told Adhara about their encounter with Hans, he also told her that he was saved by the black hands that Rex assign to keep an eye on them.
“It seems Rex is thinking of a backup plan”, Edward said.
Hearing this, Adhara also nodded her head, “Because of the sniper attack last night, I also starting to think that the Reed Family is not doing their job well”
“Just where did Ari go when he’s needed here, we’re not sixth rank yet”, she added.
But right after she said that Adhara suddenly saw a change in Edward’s expression.
Looking at this, Adhara asks him suspiciously, “What are you thinking? Don’t keep things from me, you can tell me anything”
“I’m still not sure, but there’s a guy that quarreled with Hans that time”, Edward replied.
He then continues, “The guy said something about it’s not a part of their deal when Hans instructed to kill Zelene, but I didn’t think much at first but right when that guy is getting chased by the black hands our eyes met fo a couple of seconds”
“It’s familiar… and that guy is also a Wind Elementalist”
Edward then nodded his head in confirmation Adhara widen her eyes as she started to realize what Edward meant, but their thoughts were stopped when they heard a knock on the door.
Hearing this, Adhara gets up and opens the door,
“Adhara, I’m here to apologize. I heard about the sniper attack”, a male voice can be heard.
The voice is very familiar as Edward also stands from his seat and went to the door, and upon seeing the man standing in outside of the door Edward mumbles, “Ari…”
