All of them mutter in disbelief when they open the bag,
Dray who is the one holding the bag was caught off guard as he lets go of the bag making the content rollout, the others are also in utter shock as they look at the ground.
“Rex, Is this what we think it is?”, Evelyn asks with a slightly pale expression.
Hearing this, Rex shrugs his shoulders before he replied, “I met one company of Undead lead by that thing, that is why I’m back late”
“That’s beside the point…”, Evelyn mumbles lightly.
Even Seve who is still in shock looks at Rex with a complicated look before he said, “This is the seventh rank Undead? I thought you’re going to let Gerrard handle his?”
“No… Just how did you do this?”, Seve added.
Although they know Rex is strong, and maybe the strongest in the sixth rank realm.
The thought of him fighting against a seventh rank Undead and winning never crosses their minds, seventh rank Undead is can’t be easily killed with their variety of spells.
Looking at Rex who is standing calmly, the others become even more surprised.
After fighting a ridiculously powerful seventh rank Undead, there’s no sign of pain or injury which makes the others think that Rex killed the seventh rank Undead easily.
But Evelyn on the other side squints her eyes as she looks at Rex’s stoic expression.
She felt something is off even though Rex looks calm and collected, she eventually realizes something before her expression becomes softer.
Rex turns his body around, “Go get some rest, we’ll move out at dawn”
“Tell the Metal Elementalist guy to keep a night lighter, tell him if he sleeps I’m going to kick him harder than before”, he added.
He then left the others that are still shocked about the heads of Durrant and the two strong Undead inside the bag followed by Gistella.
It took about a couple of minutes before the others collected themselves,
Before they thought Rex is a very solid and strong sixth rank Awakened that can suppress other spirits but now, he becomes even monstrous in their eyes.
The descendants then got back to their own places after getting dismissed,
While Rex is walking around looking at the houses here, he then stops in front of a normal-looking house not far from the others before he proceeds to enter it.
The interior of the house is just like any normal house looks,
Rex enters the house and instantly met a hallway with stairs leading to the second floor at the end, he walks along the hallway and saw the living room on the left and the kitchen on the right.
Gistella is walking behind Rex but she notices that Rex is walking weirdly,
The fast but stiff steps make Rex’s walk looks weird, and Gistella also finds that there are beads of sweat on Rex’s forehead even though the night is cold.
After entering the house, Rex walks into the living room.
But when Rex is nearing the green sofa in the living room, Rex suddenly falls to the ground feeling his legs become weak creating a thudding sound.
He was just a step from the sofa, but he falls before reaching it.
“Master!”, Gistella approaches Rex before she helped him to the sofa, she already noticed that something is weird but she didn’t expect Rex to fall like this.
While getting helped by Gistella to lie on the sofa,
Rex blinks his eyes a couple of times and finds that his vision is blurry, ‘My back is still not healed, but it seems this is not because of the wound on my back’, he thought.
He raises his hands and finds that it is very blurry,
Dim lighting inside the house only supported by the moonlight makes the room dark.
The rough breathing sound coming from Rex shows that he is currently weak, the sweat indicates the pain he felt, and the last thing he saw is Gistella’s worried face which is covered by the system notifications.

After the last notification appears, Rex’s eyes slowly get heavy as he falls asleep.
A couple of hours later,
Rex’s eyes jolted awake but his head suddenly got hit by a powerful wave of headache that make him frown, he touch his head as the ringing sound wailed inside his ears.
“Master? You’re awake?”, a soothing muffled voice enters Rex’s ears.
Hearing this voice, Rex opens his eyes slowly and finds Gistella right in front of his eyes.
The silvery-white hair falls like heaven’s waterfall as she looks down at Rex,
Blue eyes that are brighter due to the darkness of the room, and the somewhat worried look on Gistella’s face make Rex falls into a state of dream-like vision.
It feels a bit calming for some reason when Rex stares into the blue opened eyes,
Rex also feels a squishy and comfortable thing supporting the back of his head, and after collecting himself he realized that he’s lying on Gistella’s thighs.
“What happened?”, he mutters while getting up.
Hearing this, Gistella replied softly, “You passed out master, your body must be tired”
‘Oh right, the drawback. Thankfully it didn’t take too long’, Rex thought when he look through the window and find that the sky is still dark.
It seems he didn’t pass out for too long,
Rex looks down at his body and finds that he’s topless with bandages wrapping around his body, he was surprised to see this as he glance at Gistella, “Did you do this?”
Seeing that his body is wrapped in bandages, Rex was caught off guard.
Gistella is an Undead just hours ago, so bandaging should be something that she didn’t know just like how she doesn’t know how to use the brown cloak from before.
When Gistella was about to answer, “I did it”
Another voice came from the side as Rex’s attention got pulled to his right,
There, standing in the border of the hallway and the living room is Evelyn wearing skin-tight clothes instead of armor carrying a bucket of water in her hands.
“Evelyn? What are you doing here?”, Rex asks in confusion.
Hearing this, Evelyn smiles cheekily as she replied, “Hiding something like this using that stiff expression of yours? That won’t work on me”
Evelyn approaches him before she sits on the ground beside the sofa,
She put the bucket of water beside her before she soaks a white towel in the hot water, then she signals for Rex to tilt his body to the side.
With a sigh, Rex tilt his body before Evelyn started cleaning his back.
The time passes in silence,
Gistella is sitting calmly on the sofa beside Rex while Evelyn is cleaning Rex’s wound, but Rex saw Gistella’s sleepy expression which makes her shake her head.
“Master… What is happening to me?”, she asks in confusion.
Seeing this, Rex frowned for a moment before he realizes what Gistella meant, “You’re just sleepy, just close your eyes and relax”, he said.
Since Gistella is an Undead once, sleeping is something new for her.
An Undead doesn’t require any sleep no matter how tired they get,
Their body will only be weak if they’re tired which will make them stop moving, but even in this state, they will not sleep because they aren’t capable of sleeping.
Now that Gistella is a half-Werewolf, sleep becomes a natural reaction for her new body.
After doing what Rex said, it didn’t take long for Gistella to went into the dreamland as her breathing becomes steady under the moonlight.
Evelyn is looking at her from the side before she asks, “Are you going to explain now?”
“Explain who this woman is? or are we not close enough even though we already slept in the same bed together”, she added with a hint of sarcasm in her tone.
Hearing this, Rex scratches his head before he said, “Long story short, she’s the newest member of my pack”
“Wait… You mean she already becomes a, you know?”, Evelyn asks in surprise.
Rex nodded his head since Evelyn already knows that he is a Werewolf then there’s no point hiding these things from her.
It might even become a problem if she doesn’t know about Gistella,
The sudden drop makes Evelyn’s eyes dart to the sleeping Gistella, but her eyes widen even more when Rex suddenly said, “She’s an Undead before, that’s why she doesn’t know how to sleep”
“You can transform other Supernatural too? How’s that possible”,
Evelyn is still looking at Gistella in disbelief, although she knows that Gistella is not normal she didn’t expect that she was an Undead that is turned into a Werewolf.
“So what is she? a half Undead half Werewolf?”, she asks in confusion.
But Rex also frown in confusion, “She doesn’t seem to be an Undead anymore so she probably becomes half-human because of me”
“I can’t believe it…”, Evelyn mumbles in disbelief.
Not long after, a knocking sound can be heard attracting Rex and Evelyn’s attention.
Hearing this, Rex and Evelyn look at each other before Rex stands up, and wears his armor again before going to the door.
Before the door is even opened, Rex can already tell who it is.
Rex opens the door and found Maurice is standing by the door,
But when Maurice was about to say something, Rex already signals for Maurice to follow him as they walk to the side of the house silently.
“Are you convinced now?”, Rex asks crossing his arms in front of him.
Maurice looks at Rex with a frown before Rex added, “I know Duncan told you to keep an eye on me to see if siding with me really is the best choice, Does the seventh rank Undead enough to seal your decision?”
Upon hearing this, Maurice was silent since Rex seems to know all about his plan.
Although Rex looks to not pay attention, he can sense those who are watching him with his super sense, ‘I know why Maurice is watching me from the side, but what about Seve?’
Aside from Maurice, Rex also notices that Seve is keeping an eye on him.
Even when Rex head to this house, he can feel Seve’s eyes looking at him from the back.
“Fine, we’ll be your subordinate as long as you help our family raise in ranks. My father is ready to push the past to the side and start anew”, Maurice replied.
But Rex then asks raising his right eyebrow, “What about you? Are you ready to put the past aside?”
Hearing this, Maurice’s expression stiffened as he looks down to the ground for a moment, he then takes a huge breath before he looks back at Rex and nodded his head.
‘I did kill his brother, so this is natural. It’ll be suspicious if he doesn’t act like this’, Rex thought.
After Maurice decided to take upon Rex’s offer to become his subordinate, a vicious fire orb appeared on Rex’s hand out of thin air catching Maurice off guard.
The fiery orb splashes fire around chaotically, it makes Maurice’s eyes sparks.
Maurice didn’t know why but his inner self is attracted to this orb of fire, the fire mana around him was stirred just from the presence of this fire orb.
“Absorb this orb right now, and you’ll find that you made the right choice”, Rex said.
Upon looking at the fiery orb, Maurice takes the orb before he looks at Rex and asks again, “What about my mother? What is that mark you engrave on her?”
“All I can say is that if you want your mother to be safe, then be kind to Adhara and Kyran”
A moment later,
Rex walks back into the house and finds Evelyn is already waiting for him at the end of the hallway, she has a questioning look on her face.
The questioning look somehow makes Rex feel weird, “Who is it?”, she asks.
“It’s Maurice”, Rex said before walking past Evelyn.
Rex is intending to rest some more on the sofa before Evelyn suddenly said, “Are you going to rest some more? It’s going to be dawn soon”
“Let me get some shut-eye”, Rex replied tiredly.
Looking at this, Evelyn sighed before her eyes suddenly lit up, “If you’re going to get some rest…”, she said while approaching Rex.
Evelyn suddenly hugged Rex who is closing his eyes on the sofa from the back,
Feeling Evelyn’s arms wrapping around his neck, Rex’s eyes jolted open before he looks at Evelyn whose face is already really close to him, “There’s a bedroom on the second floor, shall we rest there?”

Meanwhile, Faraday University.
Edward is sleeping on the sofa near the entrance before he open his eyes when he heard the sound of a door clicking, he looks to the side before Kyran popped up from the hallway.
Just about after the sun drowned,
Adhara brought back Kyran from the hospital since Edward got something to do.
Since Kyran came back, he didn’t talk or even glance at Edward at all which makes Edward feel something is off between the two of them.
Edward did hurt Kyran using silver, but he was forced to do that.
“Kyran? Where are you going this late at night?”, Edward asks with a frown.
There is tension going on between the two of them which makes the atmosphere disturbingly silent as Kyran glance at Edward with cold eyes, he didn’t answer and kept walking.
Seeing this, Edward stands up and grabs Kyran’s shoulder.
He then asks again, “I ask you where are you going this late? Rex is not here so it’s not good to go out alone this late”
Since there is a probability for Atkins Family to make a move,
Going out alone, especially in the middle of the night will put Kyran at risk of getting ambushed or worse, so Edward was not about to let Kyran leave alone.
But then suddenly, Kyran turns his head slowly towards Edward.
Edward’s eyes widen when he saw the murderous look on Kyran’s face as he glare at Edward, “Take your hand off of me”, he said slowly, emphasizing each word he said.
Hearing this, Edward unconsciously retracts back his hand.
After Edward takes his hand off of Kyran,
Kyran kept eye contact with Edward for a couple of seconds as the tension rises even higher, but then his body slowly turns into shadow before Kyran disappear from the place.
This caught Edward in surprise as he never knew Kyran can do this,
Edward only knows that Kyran can blend in the darkness thanks to whatever Rex gives him, but now Kyran literally turns into a shadow and disappear from his sight.
Even Kyran’s presence feels lighter than before.
It’s almost as if he’s not inside the room, if not for the sound of the door clicking then Edward might not even sense Kyran even though he’s trained to have higher senses than normal.
“When did he get this ability?”, Edward mumbles with a frown.
But Edward quickly shakes his head, “Kyran! Where did you go?”, he called.
Kyran didn’t answer him which makes Edward grit his teeth, ‘I need to find him, just what is he doing in the middle of the night?’
