“This is just something else…”, Rex mutters while looking at the carcass.
Aside from the carcass being very far away from the battlefield, Durrant’s carcass is surrounded by dark energy that scorches the dirt and trees around the carcass black.
There are three fine cut wounds on the carcass’s chest area,
Rex inspected the carcass closely feeling curious about what this Countess of the Dark Luniric is all about, ‘This is my claws alright, she definitely took over my body’
‘But this…’, he thought while looking at the leftover dark energy around the carcass.
Although the dark energy that surrounded the carcass resembles dark mana, Rex can clearly tell that it’s not since he already felt dark mana from Kyran before.
This one is even warmer than dark mana, Rex finds it familiar though.
While inspecting the carcass, Rex senses something as he grabs Durrant’s corpse, ‘They came pretty late, let’s just get out of here’, he thought glancing to the side.
Just from the aura alone, Rex can already tell who they are.
Rex immediately leaped back after putting Durrant’s carcass on the inventory, he landed right beside Gustava who just finished changing into more normal clothes.
Since the place should be trashed, Rex buys her clothes that resemble the survivors.
Gustava is wearing a brown one-piece plain dress that’s a bit baggy, Rex also gave her a brown hooded cloak to cover her white hair and face but it seems she’s struggling to wear it.
She’s looking at the brown hooded cloak in confusion, playing with it,
Rex sighs seeing that she doesn’t know what the brown hooded cloak is for, ‘She’s an Undead alright, It’s going to be a pain to teach her stuff will it?’
Even after a moment, Rex face-palm himself when he saw how Gutava wore the cloak.
She wrapped the brown hooded cloak on her neck before she glance at Rex with an innocent look, the scene just makes Rex want to hit her but her innocent looks forbid him.
“Come here, just think of this as a helmet”, Rex said.
He takes the brown hooded cloak off of Gustava’s neck before he puts it on, Gustava, but after wearing it Gustava still has a confused look as she touches the brown cloak, “Helmet?”
Scrat!
Gustava suddenly ripped the brown cloak accidentally before she immediately kneel, “I’m sorry!”
‘This is just great’, Rex thought with a sigh.
But he pay her no mind before he said, “From now on, you’re not going to harm any humans even the slightest bit. No matter what, I forbid you from harming humans do you understand?”
“Yes master”, Gustava replied before slowly standing back up.
From afar, Rex already saw Gerrard’s team arriving at the scene and they gasp in shock when they saw the aftermath of Rex’s battle with the company of Undead.
Corpses are scattered around, and some of the impaled corpses are still standing.
“I almost forgot, your name going to be Gistella Scteztic starting from now. Remember that because I won’t repeat myself”, Rex said commandingly.
Hearing this, Gistella nodded her head, “Thank you…”
“Put their heads in this bag, we’ll leave right after”, Rex instructed, Gistella did what Rex told her before they dashed in another direction leaving the place not forgetting to take the unconscious woman.
Although Rex wanted to just leave,
He was hesitant at first but finally decided to search for Leo and his father’s corpse which was thankfully still not far from the place Leo died before.
The guilt is still there, Leo could’ve still lived if Rex caught on sooner.
That is why Rex brought the two corpses and gives them a simple burial on the side of the place, it’s the least he can do for the father and son duo.
After giving them a property burial, the system notification appears.

“What happened here? Isn’t this the seventh rank Undead company?”, One of the descendants said while looking at the destroyed place filled with dead creatures.
The air is rotten thanks to the decayed Undead that Rex killed,
Just from mentally counting the Undead around them, they are numbering in the thousands which make the descendants suck in a cold breath, “This surely is the seventh rank Undead company, I remember that bridge we encounter earlier”
“We’re planning to take this company the last, but who would’ve thought someone destroyed it earlier than we did. Is it the Awakened in Eqosa City?”
“It’s our luck, I hope they manage to kill the seventh rank Undead”
While the descendants are discussing with each other,
Gerrard looks around with a frown, his expression shows the same confusion as to the others.
But when he’s looking around the destroyed place, Gerrad’s eyes flash with light mana before he glances to the left seeing shadows leaving the place, “Hmm…”, he hummed while looking in the direction the shadows are dashing at.
After looking in the direction for a moment, Gerrard then commanded, “Search for the seventh rank Undead carcass, and see if you can find the ones who did this”
“I want to know who did this”, Gerrard added with a calm tone.
One of the descendants suddenly said, “Leader, don’t we need to just be thankful for whoever did this that takes care of the seventh rank Undead? It’s not polite to search for this person”
Some of the descendants also nodded their heads in agreement,
Aside from being thankful for the person that flattened the seventh rank Undead company, the person should be a powerful one, and searching for this person might not be the right thing to do.
Gerrard’s body turns stiff, “That’s a good suggestion…”, he mumbles.
Hearing this, the descendant that suggested this rubs his nose feeling good for himself as Gerrard turns his body around.
But soon the good feeling vanished when he saw Gerrad’s glowing eyes,
The light mana that makes Gerrad’s eyes glow added to his vicious expression makes the descendants step back in fear, the hostility coming from Gerrad gives them goosebumps.
“But I don’t recall asking for your suggestion”, Gerrard added slowly.
After turning his body around completely showing his vicious expression emitting light mana, Gerrard then added, “Should I rip your mouth off of your face or…?”
“I’m sorry! We’ll follow your commands”, the particular descendant immediately apologized.

The night keep on getting late before Rex got back to his team,
Evelyn saw Rex entering the trashed city while carrying a woman and also followed by a hooded slender figure, she immediately alerted the others.
The others are eating their prepared ration before hearing Evelyn call on them.
“Rex is back!”, she shouted before approaching Rex.
While the descendants are gathering around, Rex whispers to Gistella who is walking beside him, “Don’t get close to anyone”
Gistella nodded her head putting her head down when the descendants approaches,
It didn’t take long before Evelyn arrived in front of them, but her eyes landed on Gistella.
Dray soon follows before the others also join in without exception, they all are starting to get worried when Rex hasn’t come back even after this late in the night.
Rex himself instructed to get back before night came,
So it’s obvious that the descendants are worried that something might’ve happened to Rex while he was adventuring into the forest where the seventh rank Undead lies.
“Where have you been?! I’m worried”, Evelyn asks in concern averting her gaze to Rex.
Rex shrugs his shoulders before he replied, “I got caught up with something, but I took care of it”
After talking briefly, Rex puts down the unconscious woman before he told the descendants to gather around to report their findings.
“So, How was the scouting? Report your findings”, Rex said while eyeing the descendants.
Hearing this, Dray stepped up before he reported, “From our scout around the suspected entry of the Werewolf reinforcement, I found one company of Undead lead by a peak sixth rank while Seve found another company about a mile apart from each other”
“Who leads the second company? Did you find the leader?”, Rex looks at Seve and asks.
Seve shakes his head with a dejected look before he explains, “Unlike the company Dray found, the company that I found is guarded by many Undead and also surrounded by many traps. The Undead there is somewhat hard to kill even after chopping their heads”
After saying that, Sabrina steps forward and lifts up her robe.
She’s showing the wound on her calves which Rex thought to be from a trap they encountered, the wound is already half healed but it’s still rotting and black.
The wound is not normal black, it doesn’t look like normal wounds one suffers from being affected by death energy,
This one is more concentrated and it’s sure to come from a spell.
Morana tried to heal it, but it seems she ran out of mana from healing the survivors so Sabrina’s wound only got healed a bit and she seems to still be in pain.
“Traps? Hard to kill?”, Rex mumbles in thought.
Although he’s still not sure, he already suspected a couple of Undead which he read from the system such as Rusalka, and Abyssal lich, but Rex is still unsure.
He then looks at Seve and asks, “Did you find anything else around that place?”
“Where did you find the company of Undead? What did you feel being there?”, Rex added trying to figure out what he was dealing with.
It’s better to be safe than sorry, especially since fighting against Durrant.
Even though the UWO told them that there’s only one Undead with a seventh rank power in this place, there is no guarantee that another one is not present and hiding in the dark.
They need to be this alert at least, to avoid casualties.
Seve thought for a moment before he replied, “The place is an abandoned city from the Supernatural Emergence, the main camp is in a soccer stadium in the center”
“If you ask what I’m feeling there, I can only say that the air is humid”, he added.
Hearing this, Rex narrowed it down to be a Rusalka which is a malicious female entity that is known for her defensive spells and has a ghost-like body. This malicious entity is usually found in murky water like swamps and also likes to eat the souls of the weak-willed.
Considering that the Rusalka is probably sent here, it’s a possibility that the Rusalka is camping there even though it’s not its preferable place to stay.
But Rex is still not convinced, ‘But Rusalka doesn’t know any buffing spells’
Seve explained that the Undead there hardly die even after decapitating their head which means whatever Undead leading the company should have a buffing spell, but Rusalka doesn’t have any spells like that.
Rusalka is based on offensive spells and trap spells, that is why Rex suspected it to be a Rusalka.
‘If the leader is Rusalka, I don’t know why there is many Undead guarding her. She can just lay traps around their camp and sent a few scouts to watch for intruders’, Rex thought.
The meeting continues as each of the descendants gave their report.
After they all gives their report, Rex thought for a moment before he said, “We’ll start early in the morning by taking out the company that Dray found, dismissed!”
The descendants nodded their heads and disperse,
While the other descendants are dispersing, there are four people left standing in their place and all of their eyes are fixated on Gistella whose face is hidden under the brown cloak.
Evelyn squints her eyes while looking at Gistella,
Although Gistella wore a baggy plain brown dress that makes her look somewhat haggard, the curves can’t be hidden under the clothes and the others can instantly tell that she’s a woman.
‘Who is she? She’s definitely not normal’, Evelyn thought inspecting Gistella.
Seve and Dray on the other hand are looking at the bag Gistella is carrying while Maurice turns his attention to Rex, each of them has something on their mind.
Rex on the other hand is looking at the white cocoon, ‘Delta is still not done yet’
Aside from Delta, Rex also saw Fordie from a window tied up inside a house which shows that the descendants’ view of him at least improve.
Fordie is also an asshole, so it’s not a surprise for the descendants to do this.
After looking around, Rex realized that the others are still standing in their spots, “What are you guys doing? Didn’t I tell you to dismiss?”
Hearing this, all of their attention was pulled to Rex.
The sharp glance from Rex instantly shows the others that he doesn’t want to answer any questions, they all caught this rather clearly.
But then suddenly, “Who is this? Are you another survivor?”
Tyrice, the metal Elementalist approaches Gistella from the side with a gentle smile, “Miss, It’s okay. You’re going to be safe here, no need to worry”, he said.
“Thank you…”, Gistella mutters while slightly raising her gaze.
Although it’s just a glimpse, Tyrice was stunned upon seeing Gistella’s face as his eyes widen in surprise, “S-So beautiful, how can such a goddess be in this kind of place!”, he exclaimed.
Hearing this, the others smile wryly seeing Tyrice doesn’t read the atmosphere.
But they also saw a glimpse of Gistella’s face, and the word beautiful is an understatement.
Rex is standing beside Gistella while looking at Tyrice with a darkened expression, but Tyrice is oblivious to all of this as his attention is fully on Gistella.
But then suddenly, someone grabbed his shoulder.
Tyrice was about to scold the person grabbing his shoulder, but his expression turns stiff when he saw Rex is the one that grabbed him with a smile on his face.
“R-Rex?”, he mutters quietly before suddenly,

Rex kicks Tyrice right on his side with a perfect roundhouse kick sending him crashing into an abandoned house on the side, the loud crashing sound attracted the other descendants and also the survivors.
Upon seeing this, Evelyn smiled wryly, “Did you really need to kick him that hard?”
“He’s a Metal Elementalist, he will be fine from that kind of kick”, Rex replied nonchalantly, he clearly indicate that he doesn’t want to be asked from his expression.
But Tyrice is too oblivious to that which makes Rex pissed, ‘Fucker is blockheaded’
While Rex is cursing Tyrice who doesn’t even move from the rubble, Gistella suddenly kneels beside Rex, “Master… Did I say something wrong?”
“Get up and don’t talk”, Rex replied coldly upon seeing this.
Gistella stands back up with a trembling body before Rex’s eyes fall onto the others who are looking at this scene, he raises one of his eyebrows before Dray steps up.
Dray points at the bag Gistella is holding before he asks, “What’s in the bag?”
“I can feel death energy coming from that bag”, he added.
Since the situation is a bit weird, Dray decided to ease the tension by asking about the bag that seems to emit death energy.
Hearing this, Rex takes the bag before he throws it to Dray, “Why don’t you check it out yourself”
Maurice, Seve, and Evelyn approach Dray also feeling curious about the bag, with one swift motion Dray opened the back before they all widened their eyes in surprise.
“N-No way…”
“This is not what I think it is right…?”
“Damn!”
