Rex’s power surpasses even Durrant which puts him in the upper echelon of the early Seventh Rank got reduced heavily alongside the deactivation of the Sovereign of the Night passive skill.
He’s now nothing but a peak sixth rank if he added his other enhancements,
The current power he has now can’t compare to Durrant at all, he realizes that the table has just been turned, and fighting against Durrant right now will only result in him being killed.
“Are you scared now?! Yes, show me your expression!”, Durrant said with a crazy grin.
He’s looking at Rex instantly that slowly but surely has a hint of paleness in his expression, it’s due to the fact that this situation is very, very dire.
Durrant then added with a crazy laugh, “Fear me! Fear me more!!”
Upon hearing this, Rex’s eyes landed on Durrant before cold fingers seeped through his body and squeezed his heart feeling that the situation he was in is very dire.
‘I still have the bomb!’, Rex thought as he takes out the purifying bomb.
Without even wasting another second, Rex slammed the vial to the ground before the ground around them lit up with a bright light.
The holy property started to purify the death energy but then,

Rex widen his eyes when he saw the holy energy wasn’t even able to purify the place as it got overwhelmed by the death energy instead, it’s not working as he thought it will be.
Looking at this, Durrant laughs maniacally, “No matter what you do, you will die today!”
“I don’t care what the repercussions will be, but I will be doing my race a favor by killing you, a fake Werewolf prince here right now!”, Durrant added as his entire body glows with death energy.
While looking at this, Rex is trying to find a way desperately.
But his expression turns paler by the second when any of his plans was eliminated by the dark veil, it’s a horrifying spell that puts Rex’s back against the wall.
The transferral crystal that Rex used as a last resort,
He wanted to use it to flee the place if necessary but the notification from the system makes the cold sweat on his forehead become even more evident, he was running out of options.

‘What should I do!’, Rex thought while looking around trying to find a chance or place to escape, but there was nothing around him except for corpses and trees.
Rex looks at Durrant who was about to dash to him,

Rex realized that the spell is laughably strong, he’s even sure that it’s not a normal kind of spell and surely there will be somekind of blowback to Durrant.

‘Although he looks okay, he should be getting weaker by the second’, Rex thought.
He then puts his senses to his max as he concentrates on Durrant, he’s starting to find hope of a way out, ‘I just need to survive this until the spell blows on his face’
Right after Rex thought of that,

“HUAAKHH!”, Rex spat a mouthful of blood as he suddenly saw Durrant is already beside him.
It happened when Rex blinked but at that exact time Durrant already dashes at him and landed a solid knee right on Rex’s stomach, the power behind the attack destroyed Rex’s internal organs as he was sent flying away penetrating everything on his path.

Rex’s back hits against a tree before bouncing off of it,
‘Fuck! That shook my insides, from just one hit!’, Rex exclaimed as he puts his hands on the ground, the pain in his body area hurts him to the point of stiffening his body.

The difference in their strength is almost three times the amount now, it’s a miracle that Rex didn’t die from that attack, ‘Hmm, what is this white energy?’, Rex thought with a frown.
But he immediately shakes his head and opens the inventory, ‘I don’t care anymore’
‘I want to use Extreme State but it’s not going to be good to be weakened for half a day, especially in this kind of situation. Let’s just use the invincible item and get out of here’, Rex thought as he taps on the invincible item, he was about to use it instantly feeling Durrant is slowly approaching him.
But Rex stopped when notifications from the system appear in front of him,

Reading this, Rex frowns as he didn’t understand what the system is saying.

Rex looks down slowly and saw the black ice spike pierced through his entire body,
Aside from piercing Rex’s body, there is a white barrier that the black ice spike pierced first before piercing Rex’s body but Rex can’t think of anything right now.
The realization of getting impaled makes his entire world shook as his vision turns blurry,
‘I can’t pass out… I’m going to die if I passed out right now’, Rex thought trying his best to stay conscious, but the grim reaper’s temptation makes his eyes blurrier and blurrier.
Without backing down from the grip of death, Rex gritted his teeth, ‘I’m going to live!’
He opens the shop and bought an eighth rank healing elixir,
Rex already bought the healing elixir but his power is starting to leave his body, he summons the elixir from the inventory but he can’t raise his hand to lift the elixir as the elixir falls to the ground.
It doesn’t matter how much Rex tries, his body is not listening to him.

Rex manages to bring the healing elixir to his mouth before biting through the elixir, he drinks the content instantly before gulping it all down.
After the content of the healing elixir starts to get to work,
Rex can feel some of his power got back to him, he was not going to let himself be killed by a measly Undead as he brings himself up slowly while glaring at Durrant with bloodthirsty eyes.
Stopping his movement, notifications from the system appears.
‘I can’t read them’, he thought squinting his eyes, his vision is still blurry for some reason.
But right after the notification appears, Rex’s eyes suddenly turn heavy making him struggle to keep his consciousness to no avail, ‘Am I going to die?!’, he exclaimed in his head.
His body feels heavy as he falls to the ground weakly.
Rex’s eyelids started to close slowly, the last thing he saw was Durrant approaching him.
But then suddenly, “Eh?”
Rex opens his eyes and finds himself standing in front of Gustava who is shivering under a tree while looking at him fearfully, he looks around in confusion finding this to be odd.
But right after that he then widens his eyes before he grabs his stomach.
‘What? How did the wound already heal?’, Rex thought while touching his stomach, he just got impaled by the black ice spike from Durrant before.
Even the armor that he’s wearing from before is still intact, there’s no hole in the stomach part.
He can remember it clearly since it happened a moment ago,
The black ice spike penetrating his armor, the blood that is gushing out of his mouth, the struggle to drink the healing elixir, and even Durrant’s mocking gaze.
Rex thought he was gonna die,
The mocking smile from Durrant shows that even Durrant thought that Rex will die from that.
But now, Rex checks his stomach and his entire body to only find that there’s no sign of wounds he sustained from the battle before it’s almost as if it didn’t happen in the first place.
Rex turns his head left and right and finds the place is in a mess,
All of the trees that should’ve been around him were rooted off the ground leaving not even a single standing tree, the sight is a broken terrain as far as his eyes can see.
Battle scars can be seen throughout the place, the battle did happen before.
He’s now already in his human form,
Even though he’s in his human form, Rex feels completely fine as if he just got to this place.
The battle he did with the Durrant was like a dream, he’s still frowning since he’s still confused about the situation he’s in that just doesn’t feel right.
If not for the carcasses around him, Rex might be convinced that the battle is a dream.
Although it’s hard to assess the situation around him since the place is destroyed to the brim, Rex found a couple of Undead carcasses around his place.
He even finds the carcass of the four-armed Undead, ‘So it’s not a dream, then what happens?’
Rex’s eyes then landed on Gustava before he squatted down and asks, “What happened here? Where is Durrant? I didn’t see him anywhere”
But upon hearing this, Gustava’s body becomes even tenser, “I’m sorry, master…”
Hearing this, Rex can only sigh since it’s useless to ask Gustava who can only apologize like a robot about what happened during the battle against Durrant before.
Rex wanted to look around but he suddenly just realized that he was holding something.
Looking down at his hand, Rex widens his eyes in surprise.
“Wh-What the heck?!”, Rex exclaimed as he threw the thing that he was holding in surprise.
Since he’s just very confused about the situation he’s in, Rex didn’t realize that his hand is holding something and just realized it now when he was about to look around.

The thing that Rex holds before rolls a couple of feet on the ground,
“How did he die?!”, Rex exclaimed as he realized the thing that he was holding before is Durrant’s head, the dark blood gushing out of Durrant’s head is still fresh emitting a haunting stench.
He was really surprised to find that he was holding Durrant’s head, “What the heck happened?!
While he’s thinking about what happened to him, Rex suddenly got an idea as he asks, ‘Devo, Can you hear me? I want to ask you something’
After waiting for a while, Devo didn’t answer.
Rex asks for the second time before finally, Devo’s voice appears once again, Devo’s breaths are haggard as if he just run a marathon.
‘Did you know what just happened?’, Rex asks ignoring Devo’s weird breaths.
Hearing this, Devo then catches his breath before he replied, [I don’t know, I was giving you all of the spirit energy that I had but then suddenly I passed out]
‘You passed out too?’, Rex thought with a frown.
Not long after, notifications from the system started to pop out in front of Rex’s vision.
