"Human?", the undead mutters as it looks at Rex in shock.
The expression on Rex's face makes the undead flinch since it didn't expect something like a human can emit such terrifying bloodlust, the murderous intent is choking on the undead.
Rex glance at the undead before pointing at it, "You can talk? That's great"

Just like a ghost, Rex's body turns into a blur as he reappeared in front of the undead with his murderous eyes still glaring at the undead.
There's a silver sword on Rex's hand as he swings it perfectly,

Although Rex is fast, the undead white eyes glow with dark energy as an undead wearing almost the same armor came out from the ground and blocks Rex's attack.

The sound of two weapons colliding makes Leo and the woman puts their hands on their ears.
Rex's body glows with a red aura strengthening his silver sword, the silver sword sliced through the undead that burst from the ground easily.

But thanks to a second window, the undead manage to dodge Rex's attack.

With the silver sword lying on his traps, and the murderous look on his face making Rex ten times more intimidating, the undead started to cloak its body with Death Energy.
The Undead then said, "You're not a normal Awakened"
Rex didn't answer this as his body started glowing with intense energy, he was about to dash again but then he saw the undead's attention land on Leo and the woman.
"Oh no, you don't!"

A crack on the ground was made as Rex dashes towards the Undead,
The undead embrace its saber preparing to defend from Rex's attack, it gathers death energy to its saber before Rex slashes come,
CLANG!!
A powerful shockwave was created as the grass got ripped from the ground.
Rex is locked in a struggle with the Undead before his eyes widen when he saw the Death Energy start spreading to his silver sword and corrupting it.
The spreading is quite fast and it didn't take long before some manage to get on Rex's hands.
"Fighting the son of death without protection? You're too prideful in front of death!", the Undead mocked after seeing its death energy reaches Rex.
The death energy started sizzling Rex's skin,
Rex jumped away feeling that it will be bad if he get exposed to the death energy, he looks at his hands and can see that his skin slowly turns black.
It even manages to tear through his red force, golden energy, and black gloves.
After the skin on Rex's hand turns black, the Undead then chanted with an evil glisten on its eyes, "Canticle of the Dead! Pain!"

The black skin that got exposed to death energy burst, it exploded bursting Rex's flesh that is now already turned charcoal black. Veins around Rex's arms turn black as the pain started to kick in.
Even the smell coming from it was dreadful,
The undead laughs hysterically with its baritone voice when it saw Rex got affected by its spell.
"Feel the Pain little one, it'll be the last thing you will feel in this realm"
While watching this from the side, Leo and the woman widen their eyes seeing that this is the first hit that Rex got. Leo shouted in worry, "SIR!!"
Hearing this, the Undead glances to the side.
"Are you seeking death too little boy?", the undead said as its eyes glows again.
Another Undead crawled from the ground, it wanted to attack Leo and the woman who are already hugging each other in fright but they soon realize the attack never came.
When they opened their eyes, they saw Rex's wide back in front of them.
Rex is standing in front of them after killing the undead coming from the ground, his back gives some sense of safety to Leo and the woman as they gaze at Rex's back in awe.
Looking at this, the Undead was taken aback, "How did you escape my spell!"
"Oh, you mean this? I didn't escape it", Rex said while showing both of his hands that are still sizzling with death energy, but there's something weird happening on his hands.
The undead saw that the skin is healing while getting corrupted simultaneously.
Because of this, the skin that should turn black all the way stagnated instead and it didn't spread to Rex's arms just like the undead expected, "You...You're not a normal human!"
"But the pain! Your hands should turn numb right now!", it added nervously.
A smile appears on Rex's face as he waves his hands nonchalantly, "This kind of pain... How should I put it", Rex replied slowly.
"It's pretty weak", he added as he clenched his fists and disperse the death energy.
Compared to the pain that he felt when transforming into a Werewolf for the first time, the torture he got from the military, and even the Sacrificial Energy before this pain indulged from the Undead spell doesn't phase him at all.
It's almost akin to someone pinching him, Rex is not bothered.
Right after he did that, Rex ducked his stance lower holding his silver sword tightly as the muscle on his legs bulged preparing for a powerful dash.
Seeing this, the undead gaze left and right, 'Where will he go this time?!'
Instead of dashing to the Undead,

Rex throw his silver sword instead catching the undead off guard,
But the undead is still a sixth rank Supernatural, its reflex was fast as a skull made of death energy materializes and cracked the ground around it.
The energy coming from the skull is very powerful that blasted Leo and the woman.
Just by looking at the skull made of death energy that is opening its mouth intending to eat Rex's silver sword, Rex is sure that this is a powerful spell equivalent to a Great Spell.
The woman and Leo rolled on the ground a couple of times because of the powerful energy.
The woman hugs Leo's body to protect him from hitting something, both of them stopped after sustaining a couple of scratches on their bodies but mainly on the woman's body.
It could've been worst if they hit a tree or fall into the river,
Looking at this powerful spell the Undead casts Rex dashes and activates his Flash spell.
Even though the speed of the silver sword flying towards the Undead is fast, Rex's movement is even faster as he arrived near the silver sword before it can even reach the death energy skull.
The Undead was shocked by Rex's speed, it didn't expect Rex's speed to reach this level.
Rex smiles lightly after seeing the surprised look on the Undead, he then swings his leg and kicks the silver sword's hilt adding more power to it.

A whistling sound was heard as the silver sword cut through the air,
"KAARGH!!", the Undead was caught off guard when suddenly the silver sword that Rex kicked pierced through its defensive spell just like butter, it only takes a fraction of a second to arrive.
It stabbed right through the Undead chest penetrating through its armor.
The undead got drawn by the powerful momentum from the silver sword, the silver sword flew far before the momentum stopped when the silver sword crashed on a tree and pinned the undead on the ground.
Sizzling black lightning disrupted the death energy inside of the Undead's body.
Even with all its strength, the Undead can't pull out the silver sword from its chest and instead got burned since it's a silver sword which is a bane for all Supernaturals.
Death energy that is chaotically burst from its body can't overpower the silver sword.
The undead was pinned on the ground helplessly, it can't break free no matter how much death energy it gathers thanks to the silver sword imbued with holy properties.
Before the Undead realized it, Rex had already arrived in front of him.
He stomp the hilt of the silver sword roughly making the undead wail in pain, its body is trembling painfully as Rex said slowly, "Now, Do you feel like answering my questions?"
A moment later,
"Sir! Are you okay?", Leo asked from the back.
The woman also approaches Rex carefully while keeping an eye on the Undead, she seems to still be scared even though the undead is under Rex's foot.
With a calm expression, Rex then said, "You don't have to worry, this Undead is weak"
"Weak...?", Leo mutters in shock.
His eyes then glance at the Undead who is bursting with death energy struggling to break free, the sheer energy coming from the Undead frightens him even though it's not aimed at him.
The death energy should've harmed him especially since he's this close,
But the holy properties on the silver sword block all of the death energy, none of the death energy can even reach Leo and the woman.
Even then, Leo can still feel the wretched and deadly that will instantly kill him in a whim.
From all of the Supernatural he has seen, this Undead here is certainly the strongest.
Rex puts more pressure on his foot as he glances at the Undead, "Now tell me, What happened to the corpses here? Where did you take them?"
"WHERE IS MY FATHER YOU BASTARD!", Leo shouted clenching his fists hardly.
Looking at Leo, "You want to know?", the Undead replied with an excited laugh.
It then points at the silver sword and added, "If you take this out of me, I'm going to lead you to them. Don't worry, I won't try to run away"
"If you're still doubting me, then just carry me and I'll show you the way"
'A lie?', Rex thought inspecting the Undead.
But since he got a sudden quest from the system before, he needs to know where the corpses are taken to, 'I need to find Leo's father but why is this Undead so excited for?', he thought before he grabs the Undead by the neck.
"Show me the way", Rex said while carrying the Undead by the neck.
He drags the Undead body just like the way the Undead drags a human corpse with his hand before, it's a suitable fit for a disgusting Supernatural like this Undead.

On the other side from Rex's position,
The descendants on Rex's team are dashing in a direction where Rex is told to be the entry point if the Werewolf reinforcement has come, there should be Undead companies guarding there.
Dray and Evelyn are dashing sides to side while the others are on their backs,
While they're dashing through the desolate plains, Dray looks at Evelyn curiously as he asks, "Evelyn, you know Rex before I do right?"
"Not too long before you, I just did him a favor", Evelyn replied.
Hearing this, Dray then asks again, "I'm just curious, he's not from a wealthy family but he prepared all kinds of items for this mission. His armors, his swords, and even the elixirs that he bought are all high-rank ones"
"Do you know how he gets all of that? It just doesn't make sense", Dray added.
Hearing this, Evelyn also frowns and shakes her head since she too doesn't know where Rex got these kinds of items that even the 25 Families don't have access to.
The cloud of mystery around Rex is too thick for Evelyn to see through,
'Just how did Adhara manage to make him like her? I'm sure if it's about looks, Rex likes my type more than her', Evelyn thought with a frown.
"I can't understand what Rex is thinking, I didn't even know why he separate from us", Evelyn mutters.
Dray thought for a moment putting her fingers on his chin in thought, but then suddenly he realized something, "I think I know why he goes there"
"You know something? What is it?", Evelyn asks curiously.
While looking up to the sky that is already starting to turn golden since the sun is almost drowned, Dray then said, "I think Rex's an ambitious man, he needs power to reach whatever that he desires. And not only raw power, but also reputation"
"What do you mean?", Evelyn asks in confusion.
Dray then explains, "Just like before, he said to me that he forbid us to kill any powerful Supernatural and leave the last blow for him. If what I thought is true then going to the forest, with his kind of power, I think he's going there to take out a company of Undead by himself"
"You mean he wants to be known?", Evelyn mutters in thought.
But her thoughts were interrupted when a descendant suddenly shouted from the back, "Look there! Smoke!"
"Ger ready, we'll check that out!", Dray instructed as they dash to the smoke.

Back to Rex,
Surprisingly, the Undead really did lead them to where the corpses are since Rex can really smell the rotten smell lingering in the air making the air feels spoilt.
"What are they doing with the corpses?", Rex asks with a frown.
But instead of answering, the Undead glances at Rex mysteriously as it chuckles lightly, "I thought I was told to only lead you to the corpses", it said mockingly.
This makes Rex holds the Undead in front of him, "Are you testing my patience?"
"Hold on there, don't kill me. At least not yet", the Undead said making Rex exhale roughly before walking in the direction the Undead said.
As they got closer, Leo and the woman started to smell the spoilt air.
The woman and Leo started to become nauseous again, it's way more rotten than the smell before making them want to vomit.
Even Rex frown when he smells the rotten air,
Slowly walking through the forest, Rex squint his eyes after catching a glimpse of the scene in front of him before his eyes widened in surprise.
Looking at Rex's expression, the Undead laughs maniacally.
The laugh is so loud as if the Undead found Rex's darkened look funny, "Are you afraid now? Did you like what you see?", the Undead said alongside its laughter, "You can kill me now, your expression is worth dying for!", it said hysterically.
Feeling fed up with the Undead, Rex then mutters, "You two, stay here"

Rex killed the Undead by decapitating the Undead cleanly, the undead is still laughing hysterically until its head was chopped off by Rex.
He then throws the Undead carcass to the side before he walks forward slowly clenching his fists.
The view in front of Rex makes his heart quenched in anger, "A reminder..."
"I've been staying in a friendly environment for a couple of months now, How can I forget?"
Rex mutters ridiculing himself as he feasted his eyes on the scene in front of him, his eyes turn bloodshot crazily, "You fucking Undead, I'm going to massacre each one of you"
