Four days have passed since the field test,
Rex is doing his usual routine, working out, going to class, and once in a while pick a fight with random people.
Without something like the field test, raising his level is slow as a snail.
Now Rex is inside his classroom listening to Mr. Joseph’s lecture, today is the day they learn about the four cursed creatures that the students must avoid because they might meet one in the future.
Aside from the Supernatural, Awakened also has to be wary of Cursed Creature. Many of them can’t be defeated using fist or magic, and they have a strange power that is out of the normal that is why students need to learn about the most dangerous one.
Mr. Joseph can’t stop reminding the students to run when they meet one of these creatures.
“Before I began explaining, I will tell you one more time. Do not engage against these creatures when you meet one, I don’t care how confident you are”, Mr. Joseph said with a serious expression.
The students felt the importance of this matter and replied in a union, “Yes, Mr. Joseph!”
After nodding his head in confirmation, Mr. Joseph continues, “When the Supernatural emerges, It also brings forth different kinds of effects other than Supernatural themselves. Awakened who can use magic emerges alongside Supernatural, but Curses in fairytale also becomes real that is why you need to know the most dangerous one. There are four of them, We call them the Four Malison of Terror”
The students are listening to Mr. Joseph attentively because everyone knows that although supernatural is a threat it is not as hard to defeat as the Cursed Creatures, even the Supernatural tend to avoid these Cursed Creatures.
“These four consists of Forsaken Man, The Damned Quadruplets, White Werewolf, and Witch of Neutrality”, Mr. Joseph started to write each of the curses on the digital board.
Then he continues, “Forsaken Man is a creature that emits a unique aura, this aura will instantly hypnotize you who don’t have enough mental prowess into committing suicide. The Damned Quadruplet is a creature born from mating between The Queen of Dryad and a high-ranking Incubus, it is a creature blessed and cursed at the same time, they can control Nature, Earth, Poison, and Water imbued with dark energy. White Werewolf is a product of forbidden love between Werewolfs, they are animalistic and three times stronger than normal Werewolf, they also have immunity to most magic. The last one is Witch of Neutrality, she is an ancient wizard that dwells in Dark and Holy magic, She likes to curse humans and bless the Supernatural”
After finish explaining, Laura raises her hand and asks, “Mr. Joseph, How do we beat each of them and Which one should be avoided at all costs?”
The students nodded their heads in affirmation after hearing Laura’s question,
Hearing this, Mr. Joseph’s face turn grave, “The answer for your first questions, there is no way we can beat them besides learning the origin of their curses. For your second question, When meeting one of them you should all…run”
The students gasp in shock, Mr. Joseph didn’t even mention anything regarding high-ranking Awakened which means no matter how powerful an Awakened, they can’t beat a cursed creature head-on!

The bell rang, Mr. Joseph closes the class and let everybody leave.
Rex is tidying up his things when suddenly, Mr. Joseph approaches him and whispers, “He will come, so be prepared”, Mr. Joseph then leaves after saying those words.
Rex looks at Mr. Joseph’s back and subconsciously touches the tattoo on his chest, ‘Is he talking about the green messenger?’, Rex thought.
He puts the matter on the back of his head, He then walks out of the class.
Rex is thinking about how to get Exp faster because his Exp is rising at a snail speed but then he remembers the system talking about a breathing technique, just when he was about to open the shop section he suddenly saw Laura staggering in front of him while holding her head.
Her face is pale, she looks dizzy for some reason.
Rex is looking at her from the back when suddenly, Laura loses her balance and fell unconscious but Rex quickly arrives beside her and holds her.
“Laura, are you okay?”, he asks but Laura didn’t answer.
Her brows are creased in pain, Rex can feel her body is heating up, He then decided to bring Laura to the clinic.
‘What happened to her? Her body is trembling and her face is so pale as if there’s no blood in her’, Rex thought while he’s running to the clinic carrying Laura.
He felt something on Laura’s back, it felt like a scar and it is heating up.
Suddenly, a notification appeared.

Reading this, Rex frowns.
He then runs faster to the clinic worry that Laura may get worst.
“Doctor! Help my friend!”, Rex shouted as soon as he arrives at the clinic.
An old man wearing a white coat rushes from a room inside the clinic, the clinic is big enough to accommodate a hundred patients and there is three doctors room in it.
“What happened to her?”, the old man asks while checking on her pulse.
Rex replied worriedly, “I don’t know, She suddenly staggered and fall unconscious”
The doctor tells Rex to lay her down on the bed inside the doctor’s room, then he envelops his hand in mana and started healing Laura but to his surprise, Laura didn’t become any better.
“I will proceed with further inspection, please kindly wait outside”, the doctor says to Rex, signaling him to give the doctor some working space.
Rex although worried left the room and let the doctor do his thing,
Rex grabs his phone and searches for Tom’s contact, he didn’t find it. He then searches for Laura’s bag and found her phone, thankfully Tom’s number is set as an emergency call.
He dialed Tom, not long after Tom picks up.
“Sister, What’s up?”, Tom said casually.
Rex then replied, “Tom, come to the clinic. Your sister fell unconscious”
Hearing Rex’s voice, Tom then replied angrily, “WHAT DID YOU DO?!”
Rex clicked his tongue in displeasure, he then said, “Just come to the clinic before you throw your tantrum”, He then ended the call one-sidedly.
‘All this time, Laura looks okay but what happened? Why did she suddenly fall unconscious?’, Rex thought, every time he looks at Laura she is always wearing that cold expression and acts cool but under all that, she is surprisingly sick.
After ten minutes or so, Tom arrived at the clinic with a heavy breath.
“Where is she?!”, he asks Rex with an unfriendly tone, he then clenched Rex’s collar after seeing Rex not answering.
Rex looks at Tom calmly, this little brother of Laura is always hot-tempered.
Rex shrug Tom’s hand off his collar and said, “Calm down, she suddenly fell unconscious so I brought her here”
Hearing this, Tom’s expression turned worried, he looks troubled by what Rex said.
Rex studied Tom’s expression and asks, “You know her disease?”
Tom didn’t reply, he walks back and forth feeling nauseous totally ignoring Rex.
Rex remembers the scar that he felt when he was carrying Laura, ‘Based on the scar, it is probably caused by a claw or talon’
He then tries to bait the answer out of Tom, “So, as her brother, you fail to protect her?”, he said casually.
Hearing this, Tom’s veins are bulging as he stares sharply at Rex and said, “It’s not my fault! That damn werewolf came out of nowh…”, Tom covered his mouth when he realizes he said something he shouldn’t have.
Hearing this, Rex’s eyes turns fierce, “Werewolf? Tell me everything”, he said demandingly.
Tom sighs and said, “It happens a long time ago, when we were still early teens, our family is on a trip when suddenly the Werewolf raid the place. Father and Mother defend me and Laura well but suddenly a lurking Werewolf attacks from the back and scratches Laura’s back. We all survive the event and we’re thankful but the scratch on Laura’s back worsened and becomes a disease called Wolf rash. It started to attack her internal body, and also her mana. The doctor said that she can’t live past her twenties”, Tom said with tears started to run down his cheeks.
He then continues, “Laura doesn’t want you to know about this, so she started to avoid you and says harsh words. I never liked you since we’re kids but I know for a fact that Laura cares about you”, he said while avoiding Rex’s gaze.
Hearing this, Rex was stunned, the pieces of the puzzle started to form.
‘So all this while, she is avoiding me to protect me from being hurt when she’s gone?’, Rex thought in realization, his eyes are teary but he quickly wipes them.
Tom’s words are like a needle stabbing his heart, ‘How can you be so selfless? You shouldn’t worry about me and focus on yourself!’, Rex thought while he looks at the door where Laura is in an inspection.
Rex’s eyes flash with determination, he then asks the system, “System do you know how to cure Wolf Rash?”

‘Purified Water?’, Rex then checks on the shop and searches Purified Water.
He then found the Purified Water that costs a hundred gold per a hundred milliliters.
Rex bought five hundred milliliters, Rex’s gold instantly reduced to zero. The Purified Water was transferred into the inventory.
He then grabs Tom’s shoulder and said, “I will try to cure her”
Hearing this, Tom stares at him blankly, “Eh?”, then he snapped from his shock, “Can you really do it?!”
Rex then nodded his head and walks towards the doctor’s room, he stops in front of the door and thought, ‘No matter what, You have to live!’
