Rex muster himself and knocked on the door,

The doctor then replied, “Please be patient”
Hearing this, Rex decided to let the doctor before he tries the system’s suggestion,
Rex sits down beside Tom, in the heat of the moment after getting a way to treat Laura from the system, Rex wanted to try it out and doesn’t think properly.
Now that he sits back down, he was put into deep thought.
‘What if it didn’t work? There’s no guarantee that it will work. Even if the system’s suggestion is right, will my power be sufficient in neutralizing the injury? Werewolf has a rank five power minimum, with my current power I’m still far from reaching rank five’, Rex thought, he is not confident in himself because of his lack of power, in his state, a normal Werewolf will immediately butcher him.

After waiting for about twenty minutes, the doctor’s room door opened
The doctor then walks to Rex and Tom, “She is in a critical condition, the creature that inflicts the wound on her back seems to have some kind of bacteria or poison that corrodes her internal organs”
Rex and Tom sigh, they already expected the answer.
The both of them thanked the doctor and asks permission to bring her home to get treated.
Rex and Tom then brought Laura to Laura’s home by car,
The Frostbrand’s mansion is not far from Ochyra University, Tom tells Rex that their mother and father work hard to moved here after the raid in Dupok City and finally able to get this mansion.
Arriving at the Frostbrand’s Mansion, Rex was deeply impressed by it.
Ratmawati City is categorized into five sectors, the first sector is the nearest to the center of Ratmawati City where high-ranking Awakened lives, the later the sectors the further it gets away.
The Frostbrand’s mansion is an hour’s drive from Ochyra University, it is in the third sector. Rex’s stepfather is an influential man that dwells in a big company, with all the money he had, he manages to buy a house in sector two which is astonishing for someone who is not an Awakened.
Having a mansion in the third sector is already can be considered great for a small family like the Frostbrand’s.
The mansion is big, it is brown in color and has pillars decorating its entrance making it look majestic. Near the entrance lies the gardens where colorful flowers decorate it, a floating water sphere is shining beautifully just above the mansion door acting like a chandelier.
Rex lifts Laura out of the car and follows Tom who is already knocking on the door.
Not long after, a middle-aged woman opens the door. She has blazing blonde hair just like Laura’s and Tom’s, her eyes are light blue and her bearing is that of an outgoing woman especially with the white jumpsuit she wears. She is Tom and Laura’s mother, Marcella Frostbrand.
“Oh my, What happened to her?!”, Marcella screamed hysterically when she saw Laura unconscious on Rex’s hand.
Tom replied with a darkened expression, “It’s getting worse”
Hearing this, Tears started to run down Marcella’s face.
Not long after, a middle-aged man notices the commotion and approaches them. He is Laura’s and Tom’s father, Silas Frostbrand.
“What happened here?”, he said while approaching.
Out of nowhere, Marcella flipped. Her face turns frustrated and there is a hint of anger in it as she screamed, “IF ONLY THAT TIME YOU ARE MORE CAREFUL! SHE WOULD NOT BE IN THIS STATE”
Silas frowns, he looks at Laura who is in Rex’s hands with a devastated expression, “I know! It’s my fault!”
Silas then holds Marcella to stop her from falling, he then asks, “Who are you?”
Rex smiles at Silas and replied, “I’m Rex, you probably forgot about me but I can potentially help Laura”
Hearing this, Marcella jumped and holds Rex’s shoulders, “Do you really have a way? Tell us! I will pay you anything!”, she said desperately, the grip on Rex’s shoulder tightens and it started to hurt Rex.
Tom who is on the side finally opened his mouth and said, “Mom, Calm down. Let’s get inside first”
Marcella can only nod her head and let them inside,
After putting Laura in her bedroom, Marcella, Silas, and Tom are already waiting in the living room.
The three of them look at Rex in a union, Rex smile wryly and sits on the opposite sofa as them.
Silas opened first, “So, Tom said that you have a way to cure my daughter?”, he said with a questioning look.
“If you can cure her, please cure her! I don’t care what the price is!”, Marcella intervenes, her heart is breaking every time she remembers Laura’s painful expression.
Tom rubs Marcella’s back to calm her down before Rex replied, “I have a way to cure your daughter, but I’m not confident in curing her”
“Just tell us how, and we will find the best doctor out there to treat her using your method”, Silas replied hurriedly, one can see that he is impatient.
“The procedure must be done by me, If it’s not me then she can’t be cured”, Rex said calmly, he knows that his words will cause this pair of mother and father to be angry.
BAM!!
Silas slams his hand on the table cracking the glass covering it, “WHY DID IT HAVE TO BE DONE BY YOU WHEN YOU ARE NOT CONFIDENT?! IN THE FIRST PLACE, HOW CAN A BRAT LIKE YOU CURE MY DAUGHTER WHEN EVEN DOCTORS CAN’T!”
Rex knows that they will get angry but he’s not happy about it, he then replied with a cold look, “Mr. Frostbrand, I have a way of treating your daughter but the reason I’m not confident is not that the method may not work but on the contrary, it will definitely work but I’m just not strong enough to do it”, Silas listened to Rex with anger.
After looking at Silas and Marcella briefly, Rex then continues, “If you’re wondering why it has to be me then put it in my requirement in treating your daughter, do acknowledge your place, you’re talking to a person that is potentially the only one who can cure your daughter”
Hearing this, Marcella holds Silas’s hand in worry.
Silas then forced his anger down and sits back down, “Fine, I apologize for my rude behavior. Please do cure my daughter, but if try anything funny!”
Before Silas can finish his words, Rex intervenes, “No need for petty threats, I already know what will happen”, Rex said before he gets up and goes to Laura’s room.
Bam!
The Frostbrand’s went silent after Laura’s door shut, they are anxious and nervous at the same time.
Inside the room, Rex looks at Laura who is lying on the bed with a pained expression.
He then approaches Laura and sits beside her, ‘System, how do I do this?’

Five vials of Purified Water Appeared in front of him, he then pours all of it into a bowl. After that, he scratches his palm.

His blood drips into the bowl, after that Rex started mixing the two.
After stirring for two minutes, the white Purified Water turns grey. After hearing the system’s confirmation, he then gently opened Laura’s upper shirt.
Laura’s fair and gorgeous upper body was revealed making Rex gulped feeling his throat gone dry, ‘It’s not the time to be doing this’
He then gently flipped Laura’s body and saw a big claw wound on her back that makes her skin look nasty blue, the wound looks horrifying especially its sides that starting corrodes.
Rex then rubs the purified blood into the wound, the purified blood quickly seeped into her skin, the nasty blue wound starting to lose its color but it is still not enough.
Suddenly, a system notification appeared.

He then puts Laura’s shirt back on, he notices that Laura is not in pain anymore so he left the room at least with a result.
Hearing the door opened, Marcella hurriedly approaches Rex followed by Tom and Silas, she then asks, “How was it? Did it work?”
Rex sighs and replied, “As expected, my power is not enough. I can only make a temporary solution to ease her pain, but don’t worry I will definitely cure your daughter”, he then handed the bowl of Purified Blood.
Hearing this, the Frostbrand’s sighs but still they are happy when they saw that Laura is not in pain anymore.
Soon, the night came.
Rex already left the Frostbrand’s mansion hours ago, he is now sitting on the rooftop with Adhara on his sides.
“Whew, why did it feel so nice being under the moonlight”, she said with a relaxed expression.
Rex chuckles and replied, “Don’t you remember? You’re a Werewolf now”
Adhara also chuckles, then suddenly she remembers something, “Oh yeah, Rosie is searching for you all day but you seem to vanish from thin air”
“Personal matter”, Rex replied casually while breathing a mouthful of air.
Adhara pouted and replied, “Why do you have to be secretive like that, We’re a team aren’t we?”
“We’re not a team, but a family”, Rex said with a serious expression.
Adhara blushed, ‘Family? Does he want to…Hehe, Hehe’, Adhara thought with a creepy smile on her face.
Rex was confused by Adhara’s reaction when suddenly, “Hmm, Quite sturdy for a first-year”
Rex felt someone is touching his hand, he and Adhara jump back to make a distance between them and the figure that just arrived.
‘What?! I can’t even feel his presence even with my heightened senses’, Rex thought in surprise, he looks at the figure that pop out of nowhere suddenly.
The figure is a man judging from his frame, he is wearing all-black and a crow mask covering his face, the scary thing is that the figure has almost no presence at all.
“Nice reflex, did you perhaps gifted in reflex as well?”, the figure said while approaching casually towards them.
Rex looks at the figure sharply and said, “Who are you?”
A green gas seeps out of the figure’s mask, it then opened its mask slightly revealing his sharp green eyes.
Rex and Adhara instantly felt powerless under the gaze of the figure’s eyes, it’s not bloodlust but just sheer pressure from his gaze.
The figure chuckels, “Hasty eh? Well, it doesn’t matter, you kids can call me Prof. K but you might know me as the… Green Messenger”
