This oppressive aura can’t be forgotten by Rex and Adhara, the aura is similar to the vampire that they visited earlier.
‘What happened? There’s no way that he escaped right?’, Rex thought fearing the possibility then suddenly he felt another aura, ‘No, this is not just one! There are three of them!’, Rex sucked in a cold breath.
The lecturer’s expression changes, “Students! Stay here!”, shouted the muscular middle-aged man, his aura blasted sending a shockwave to the surrounding before he blitzes out of the barracks.
“Oh my god! What’s happening?”
“This, I felt it before! This aura is from a supernatural above rank five!”
“WHAT?! How can this be?!”
“The lecturers are only rank five at most! Are we going to die?”
The students started to panic, some started to shiver while some already knocked out, but there is some who can maintain their stand even under the oppressive aura.
Ratmawati City is one of the eight biggest cities, the city is heavily guarded and the citizens there felt safe behind the enormous wall of Ratmawati City. Because of that, the high-ranking family kids are out of danger which results in them unable to hold their ground when confronted by a high-ranking supernatural.
Rex and Adhara followed by a couple of other students walks out of the barracks to see the incident outside,
Once they all got outside, they immediately saw soldiers gathered and nine people that are flying in front of three creatures.
The creatures are humanoid with black wings on their back, their skins are pale, they consist of one female and two males, they wear a black sleeveless shirt and some kind of combat pants, the female vampire brings an umbrella and there is a barrier covering their body from the sunlight.
Rex noticed that one of the male vampires is the vampire he saw from the barracks before, ‘It seems they are here on a rescue mission’, Rex thought.
“YOU DARE TO ENTER OUR TERRITORY?!”, shouted a man wearing a military suit.
“Yes, of course, we didn’t dare”, said the female vampire.
The vampire that just got out then follows, “You humans dare to capture me?! Sir Leon a pawn under Queen Demelza!”
The female vampire raises her hand, signaling Leon to stop.
Hearing this, the man wearing a military suit seems surprised, “No matter who your master is! This is not a place where you can act arrogant!! Feel the might of I, Andre the Black Water!”
After saying that, the man musters his mana, “Great Magic! Caustic Tidal Dragon!”
ROARR!
Out of nowhere, a black water dragon shot out from the man’s hand.
Rex can feel the immense power brought by the spell, even if Rex’s power tripled, he knows that the spell will smash him to pieces.
The dragon shot out like a jet of water aiming at the vampires,
The other also musters all of their mana and shot different spells at the vampires,
Hera concentrated her mana and shouted, “Great Magic! Mortal Lava!”, The ground trembles as it shot lava.
Dave also joins in the fray, the wind around him started to get violent, “Great Magic! Wind Vortex!”,
The other lecturers and high-ranking military also send out their respective spells, the force coming from nine high-ranking spells create a force that Rex never feel before.
It’s like he’s just an ignorant boy that saw a battle between demigods!
The female vampire’s face is covered by a veil but one can know that she is smirking under the veil, it seems to not take on the spells seriously.
The force from the spells makes her veil flutters, her veil can’t withstand the pressure as it blew away revealing a devastatingly beautiful face. Her face is so beautiful that even kings will definitely fight over her, but her face now etched with an evil smile that makes her looks scary.
She then points her slender finger forward and whispers, “Blood Magic: Disperse!”, a drop of blood comes out of her finger.
Whooshh!
The drop of blood shot and merge with the spells, Immediately after, all of the spells that are aiming at her disperse as if it’s just a dream.
Rex was shocked while looking at this scene, ‘That vampire is at least rank six if she can disperse all of that powerful spells!’, he looks at the vampire girl with shock and hatred.
The vampire girl notice Rex’s gaze, she glances in Rex’s direction too meeting him in the eyes, she then murmurs, “How can he get that form? Interesting”, she then waves her hand that makes the drop of blood move again.
The drop of blood didn’t stop, it then flew out and hit each of the lecturers and militarymen before it enters all of their bodies. It was so fast that they all didn’t have the chance to dodge the blood.
“WHAT?! HOW CAN THIS BE?!”, Dave gasp in surprise, the other also fall into shock.
“What did you do!!”, shouted Andre while holding his chest that is hit by the blood.
Suddenly, all of them spits out blood,
“HUAAKKH!”
Andre grit his teeth in pain, his eyes are bloodshot as he says, “That damn blood can trace back our mana and disrupt it!”
The female vampire smiles mockingly, her bearing become more confident as she says, “We didn’t dare to come here but unlike humans, we treasure our kin and rescue them when in need”
“HAHAHA, you could’ve just rescue that fucker and left, but you decided to mock us! Now you can’t run away!”, Andre said after feeling a familiar aura approaching.
The female vampire raises her brows when suddenly, “Absolute Bullet”
BANG!!
The female vampire makes a barrier around her when she saw a bullet aiming at her head,
CLANG!!
The bullet hits the barrier, the bullet is emitting a blue fiery aura as it rams through the barrier.
The barrier crack, the female vampire raises her hand to block but was shocked when she feels the power from the bullet.
BAM!
She was thrown away by the bullet crashing to the ground,
Looking at this, the human’s side cheers in joy, Andre greeted a man that is walking while smoking a cigarette, “General George, you are back!”, he said enthusiastically.
“I just came back and you guys are pathetically under the mercy of a little vampire?”, he asks while walking casually to the scene.
General George wears a light brown shirt while holding his military coat on his back, his right hand is holding a gun while his left hand is holding the cigarette, he looks middle-aged with black neat hair, he emits the most powerful aura that Rex has ever felt just by walking casually.
“This man is General George?”, Rex said with disbelief, he knows that General George is a middle rank seven Awakened one of the most influential military characters in Ratmawati City, but seeing him in real life is a different thing.
General George then started to walk and stop just under the vampires,
The other two vampires are shaking on their boots seeing General George approaches,
“You guys do have fun bullying my people,”, he said threateningly, “Stop feeling high and mighty and get down here”, General George started to let out a glimpse of his real aura but that glimpse of aura makes the two vampires shot down crashing to the ground unable to hold the pressure he emits.
The female vampire stands up from the debris strugglingly, wounds are covering her whole body but it starting to heal.
General George glance at the female vampire,
“Stop! They are the descendants of the Demelza Family! and I am Marta her student! If you know what’s good for you, then let us go!”, she said demandingly.
Hearing this, General George frowns, “Demelza eh? You tell your queen that the humans will not let this slide the next time!”, he said unwillingly.
Andre walks up and said, “But General!”
Before he can even finish, General George shouted, “SILENCE!!”
Andre’s words are stuck on his throat before he lowers his head and move back,
The female vampire scoffs before she helps Leon and the male vampire under the other’s gaze, She then destroys a red stone that summons a rune under them, the rune glows enveloping them before the three of them vanish from sight.
“General George, Why did you let them go? That’s a perfect time to weaken the Demelza Family!”, Andre protested, unable to accept the General’s decision.
General George looks at him and said, “Queen Demelza is a peak rank-seven powerful vampire, She has the ability to kill someone through a dream, the requirement is just the blood of the victim. The nine of you just got attack by Marta’s blood, which gives Queen Demelza access to your life and death”
Hearing this, the lecturers and the military men got goosebumps, just a little carelessness gives their life to the devil herself.
Then General George continues, “That Marta girl is smart, She knows that fact so there is no fear on her expression when facing me. She knows that if I kill them, you nine will also be dead by the end of this day”
Andre felt his throat gone dry, he felt dumb for doubting the general’s decision, “My apologies for doubting you General”, he said humbly.
General George laughs and slaps his back, “No worries, At least we’re all fine except losing one of the captured vampires which you need to report, we’re good!”
Andre smile wryly, ‘You didn’t need to shift all the blame to me’, he thought helplessly.
After the incident, the lecturers then collect all the students and check on them.
The aura of a powerful supernatural can disrupt the low-ranking Awakened, they can even get injured so a full checkup will be done before they depart back to Ochyra University.
After checking the students, then all of the students and lecturers board a train to get back to Ochyra University.
Rosie already regain her consciousness, her injury is healing but she still needs some rest.
Inside the train,
“Apparently, those kind of attack is a regular occasion for cities outside Ratmawati City. I can’t believe the horror experienced by the people outside of Ratmawati City, We almost die if not for General George”, Adhara said remembering the scene before.
Rex nodded his head and answer, “I also can’t imagine myself”
Although Rex has experienced the war, he didn’t once saw a Supernatural above rank four so this is also his first time seeing high-rank supernaturals.
He adjusts Rosie’s head that is leaning to his shoulder before he looks at the bright sky, today he got another motivation to become stronger.
