Rex walks out of the village head’s house with the woman beside him, he already come to an agreement that the villagers will help Rex find Banyan Tree while he and the others will go visit Lountain City.
The woman asked Rex to get rid of the Awakened except for one,
Lountain City has four Awakened which one of them is an Awakened from Ratmawati City, he goes by the name Dito and he’s the leader of the Awakened.
But one of the Awakened is not a bad one,
The woman told Rex to not hurt Yosef, an Awakened that has distinctive grey eyes, he tries to help the abandoned villagers but is stopped by Dito.
With Dito being the strongest there, Yosef has no choice but to obey him.
But unknown to the woman, Rex has other plans that she will not expect after he’s done.
After walking out of the house, Rex saw the villagers are gathered in front of him.
Adhara and Edward were also among them standing at the very back, they seems to finish helping the villagers arrange the flowers.
Many of the villagers are whispering amongst themselves while looking at Rex.
Rex then glance at the woman beside him before he nodded his head,
He then jumps skipping the gathered villagers before landing beside Adhara and Edward, this feat makes the villagers gasp in amazement.
It seems that they know that Rex and the others are from Ratmawati City.
“Let’s go, we’ll go to Lountain City and confront the Awakened there”, Rex said coldly.
Hearing this, Adhara and Edward also turn serious.
Edward then asks, “Operation KOS?”
“They tossed out the elderly and orphans out of the city knowing the mutated animals around the place, they enslave the capable man and woman, None of them should be left alive”, Rex replied coldly.
Adhara who is beside them gulped as she feel the killing intent coming out of Rex and even Edward that makes her spine cold.
But then, “Adhara, You will be fighting them first”
Upon hearing this, Adhara tilts her head in confusion, “Why me?”
“Let’s test your dagger-wielding skill, you also need to learn to fight experienced Awakened”, Rex said before the three of them dashes away under the villagers’ gaze.
A moment later,
Rex and the others went straight to the Deep Bleak Valley and continue to go north.
The tallest mountain is where Lountain City is located, and they need to climb for a bit before reaching the city’s outpost.
Crash!
Rocks fall down as Rex and the others climb the mountain.
Adhara can just fly over but it will be too eye-catching, Rex wanted to see what these Awakened of Lountain City looks like before doing the deed.
With their current power, Rex and the others climb the mountain easily.
If not for the heavy rain that makes the rocks they’re holding slippery, the three of them should’ve climbed the mountain faster.
The three of them arrive at a rocky road that circles the mountain.
Rex can already see an outpost of Lountain City at the end of his vision, there are two watchtowers made of wood with a couple of guards on top of it.
“What should we do? Should we attack it?”, Edward asks while looking at the watchtowers.
But Rex shakes his head in disagreement, “They’re just normal people, our enemy is the Awakened, and alerting them would just let them escape”
After saying that, Rex takes out three rings.
The rings are rings that he bought from the shop, “Use this”, Rex instructed.
Both Adhara and Edward takes the ring in confusion,
But when they put the ring on their fingers, the elemental aura around them suddenly got sucked into it leaving nothing behind.
Even Rex who is the sixth rank Awakened got his aura sucked.
“Let’s take their armors, we’ll disguise as one of their guards”, Rex explained.

On top of the left watchtower, a guard is standing while looking at the rain that falls heavily from the sky before stretching out his hand.
“When is the last time you see the sun?”, the standing guard asked.
The other guard that is sitting while closing his eyes then replied, “That would be years ago, we can’t exactly leave this place either”
“At least we manage to become a guard, the others are suffering in there”
With a sigh of relief, the sitting guard replied while opening his eyes, “Just enjoy what you’ve been given, it’s better thi-“
But before he can finish his sentences, he suddenly saw another man in front of him.
The man appears between them like a ghost, and with a blur from the man’s hand, both guards’ vision turns blurry before they fall to the ground unconscious.
Rex looks to the side and finds Edward also just taken down the guards.
Although Adhara is stronger than Edward in terms of rankings, she’s not used to this kind of thing, unlike Rex and Edward.
After knocking the guards out, Adhara jumped to Rex’s watchtower.
“Let’s use their armor, we’ll try to infiltrate the city”, Rex said before all of them takes the guards’ armors and wears them.
The armor is not fancy like what Rex usually see,
Lountain City’s guards only use leather vests, greaves with a sword on their belts, and a dark green cape, it looks very traditional for someone who is from Ratmawati City.
Rex knows that this armor can’t even block an attack from any blade.
The leather vests and greaves are very thin and they will only be sliced through like butter, the armors are useless for blades, much less an attack from mutated animals.
After wearing the armor, “Horses!”, Edward shouted while pointing down.
Rex looks down and found mutated horses on a hut beside the watchtower, they are second rank mutated animals that look like more muscular horses than normal.
But before they leave the watchtower, Rex saw a glistering object on the ground.
He takes the round object before he scans it with the system,
After reading the description of the round object, Rex puts it in his pocket before he jumped down followed by Adhara and Edward.
The three of them take the horses and ride back following the road path.
Not long after riding with the horses, Rex and the others can already see the entrance of Lountain City at the end of their vision.
“I can sense Kyran is here”, Adhara whispers to Rex.
Rex nodded his head because he too already sense Kyran has already arrived here.
Kicking the horse body, Rex and the others stride slowly towards the entrance.
There are guards on top of the wall that is now looking at them,
Lountain City’s entrance wall is made of stones just like in medieval times, it stood under the rain sturdily as Rex approached the entrance.
The horses’ hooves make clipping sounds as they approached.
Upon getting closer, Rex can see a cliff between him and the gate that is connected by one bridge made of stone that made the three of them stops.
“Why are you back now?! It’s not the time to switch yet!”
One of the guards on top of the wall shouted towards Rex and the others.
Hearing this, Rex scans the guard before he shouted back while taking the round object from his pocket, “Open the gate Dillion, we have been called back”
Rex shows the round object to the guard called Dillion.
Seeing this, Dillion hesitated for a moment but he then eventually opened the gate for Rex.
After the gate is opened, Rex and the others went inside calmly.
Upon entering the city, Rex and the others gasp as they look around stunned by what they’re seeing in front of their eyes.
Rex can see a huge cave on his left with many working people around it.
Many of the people are chained together, a couple of guards can be seen watching over them while whipping those who started slacking off.
Some people walk out of the cave while carrying a big rock on their backs, while the other is taking a stone from the said big rock that is glowing with blue light.
Just from a glance, Rex knows that these glowing stones are elemental stones.
Lightning Stones to be exact,
‘So that’s what they’re doing’, Rex thought.
Crack!
The sound of a whip hitting flesh can be heard occasionally,
“What are you slacking off for?! Keep working!”, a guard shouted fiercely.
The woman who just got whipped by the guards stumble as the rock she’s carrying falls to the ground, wounds covered all over her body and she’s very thin.
It’s clear that the people here are working endlessly, and many of them are on the brink of death.
One of the men beside the woman comes towards the woman trying to shield her.
Crack!
The man got whipped instead as he grunt in pain,
“She barely got any water or food, give her some and she’ll be okay! Please!”, the man pleaded but instead got whipped relentlessly by the guards.
Seeing this scene makes Adhara’s body tremble as she bit her lips in anger.
Rex looks towards the scene and finds that the guard looks unwilling, but he still kept whipping the man in front of him like a maniac.
Looking at this, Rex glance to the right and found a man watching this scene unfold.
From the clothes of the man watching the scene, Rex can instantly tell that he’s not one of the slaves and not one of the guards.
He’s one of the Awakened of Lountain City,
Rex scans the man and finds that he’s a mid-fourth rank Awakened,
‘So even the guards are being forced to be ruthless to their own people’, Rex thought in disgust as his expression darkened.
“Look there, that should be where the other Awakened lives”, Edward points at a building.
The building he points at is a huge building that is more of a castle than a building, the castle sticks out like a sore thumb around the small stone houses around it.
Rex looks at the building in thought,
But then suddenly, “You said that I’m the first one to attack right?”
“Huh?”, Rex glance at Adhara and saw her body is emitting a purple flame.
The ring Rex gave on her finger started melting,
Looking at this, Rex wanted to stop Adhara but he’s too late because Adhara is already rushing to the guard that is whipping the man.
“Shit! What should we do?!”, Edward asks.
Rex looks in Adhara’s direction before he replied, “We need to locate the others”

“Let’s just let the situation unfold”, Rex said before he and Edward watches Adhara from the side while waiting for the others to come out.
In the other’s perspective, they’re just but a normal guard.
The ring that he bought from the system hides their actual aura, so they look completely normal.

A purple flame went past the Awakened like an arrow.
The Awakened that is on their left caught the sudden changes in the surrounding mana, and when he tilts his head to the right he saw Adhara slam her body to the guard.
BAM!
Upon getting hit by Adhara, the guard got propelled away before crashing to the cave’s mouth.
BOOM!
All of the people around were shocked by the sudden event.
This includes the Awakened that saw Adhara suddenly come out of nowhere, he didn’t even feel any Awakened in the area until Adhara appear.
The man that is being whipped was surprised by Adhara’s appearance.
He saw how Adhara’s figure beautifully engulfs in violet flame with her back towards him, she’s facing the Awakened who is now aware of her presence.
“A-An Awakened!”, the man shouted in surprise.
Hearing this, Adhara turns her head to the side exposing her slight smile.
The man was at a loss for words but he can feel that Adhara is not like the other Awakened, “A-Am I dreaming?”, the man mumbles in shock.
