After Robbie’s move failed to affect Thanos, he immediately threw him aside like trash, but it wasn’t the end of Robbie! Hellfire immediately burst out of Robbie’s body, and the blue flame suddenly engulfed the sky!
Now that Robbie knew Penance Stare was useless against Thanos, he switched his plan to burning Thanos to ashes! The Blue Flame of hell could burn even the soul that touched it! But suddenly, the hellfire that burst out into the sky weakened and was drawn toward one direction!
It was being pulled into the Infinity Gauntlet in Thanos’ hand! Thanos smiled and redirected the hellfire that he drew into the Infinity Stones towards Dio and the other Avengers!
As the Ghost Rider, Robbie was immune to the hellfire, but the same couldn’t be said to the rest! Dio frowned and was once again forced to use the Aether to build a huge defensive wall against the Hellfire that Thanos manipulated! Although Thanos’ Hellfire was strong, it still couldn’t destroy the Infinity Stones!
When the flame disappeared, Robbie was already dismantled into rags and bones.
Now that the Penance Stare didn’t work against Thanos, Dio realised that Robbie wouldn’t be able to put Thanos down his own. He never expected that the Penance Stare wouldn’t, but it was still alright as Dio had other means to finish off Thanos himself!
Dio already observed Thanos throughout the fight, and he noticed that once Thanos used other Infinity Stones, the Time Stone’s light would dim significantly, and many black lines appeared on Thanos’ body. Infinity Stones was a powerful artifact that wasn’t easy to control. It would devour the user’s soul and destroy their body! Thanos wasn’t any exception to this, as it weakened him with each use!
“Force him to constantly use his Infinity Stones!” Dio communicated with the rest of the Avengers via the little snail. Steve was startled as Dio’s plan seemed counterproductive to their end goal. Shouldn’t they try to prevent Thanos from using his Infinity Stones?
“Trust me. I don’t have time to explain everything right now! Be safe! Carol, Robbie, and I will act as bait!” Dio said via the Little Snail. He then glanced at Carol and nodded before rushing towards Thanos!
As long as the power of death from using the Infinity Stones was consistently built up, they would win! Steve and the others had no choice but to trust Dio for now. They had to change their approach by sieging Thanos from afar to relieve the pressure on Dio, Carol, and Robbie.
Thanos fired a purple energy ray towards Natasha, but Steve immediately stepped forward, blocking the Purple energy with the last remainings of his shield. Still, his shield failed to contain all of the purple energy! But as Steve’s shield began to crumble, a figure suddenly fell from the sky and covered Steve and Natasha with a tower shield!
Steve sighed in relief and immediately pulled Natasha back to get her away from harm. Tony finally appeared with his new armour! He removed the tower shield and turned his gauntlet into a sledgehammer before striking Thanos with it!
It was a powerful blow that pushed Thanos back a couple steps! Tony didn’t let up his offensive. He kept Thanos at bay to the best of his abilities with his new armour as he knew that everyone needed time!
“You better stop hitting me!” Thanos said as he touched the wound on his cheek from Tony’s attack. He punched Tony with all his might, sending Tony far back as he couldn’t withstand Thanos’ attack! Tony immediately conducted a comprehensive check on his suit and noticed that his suit received major damage! Now, his new suit only held 50% integrity from just 1 hit of Thanos’ punch!
Dio immediately rushed forwards and swung his scythe at Thanos’ head, but Thanos immediately raised his Infinity Gauntlet to block Dio’s attack! At the same time, Carol punched Thanos in the face, but Thanos caught Carol’s hand before she could attack Thanos again.
Meanwhile, Robbie, that was reborn once again, threw the chain in his hands and coiled it around Thanos’ neck before dragging him back. The blue hellfire began to burn Thanos’ skin and soul! At the same time, Dio summoned [The Hand] to erase Thanos’ head!
Thanos noticed the weird figure besides Dio and felt a crippling fear. He knew that if that weird figure touched him, he would be killed immediately! So, Thanos immediately used the power of the Space Stone to create a defensive barrier around him.
“Food!” Spiderman, who was now controlled by Venom, jumped at Thanos’ back and opened his mouth to bite Thanos’ face.
Thanos was in a pinch! He immediately detonated the entire Space Stone barrier, blasting everyone away from himself! The blast was powerful enough to tear [The Hand] apart, causing serious injuries to Dio’s right hand. He couldn’t even hold his [Reaper’s Gaze] properly right now!
“Dio! Your hand!” Carol said worriedly.
“It’s alright!” Dio said as he de-summoned [The Hand] and summoned [Gold Experience] instead! Dio quickly used his Recharge Card to recharge the [Gold Experience]’s Time usage! Dio then quickly healed his right hand back as he couldn’t attack efficiently without it. All this time, Dio’s most powerful trait was his survivability!
If anyone wanted him dead, he could drag the fight until the opponent lost their will to fight! Even if it were Thanos with 5 Infinity Stones, Dio wouldn’t be killed that easily!
Seeing that Dio’s hand has already recovered, Carol set her sight on Thanos once again. By this time, Thanos was also completely aware of what his opponent was aiming for. But it didn’t really matter for Thanos as he could just leave the Earth and find a way to expel the death energy inside his body before devising another plan to get his hands on the Reality Stone.
But still, the last Infinity Stone was right in front of him! He didn’t want to waste more time waiting and devising a plan anymore! After all, Thanos would never know what Dio would do to the Reality Stone later! It would be a pain if he fed it to another monster like last time!
