Loki was not to be trusted, and so was Hela! But the fact that they helped the Avengers to bring down Corvus Glaive remained unchanged! Steve and the rest of the Avengers couldn’t treat them as enemies anymore, but they remained cautious!
“Hurry up and destroy that blade! My death aura wouldn’t last any longer!” Hela said as her death aura that surrounded Corvus Glaive started to fade. Hela has already lost her power due to Asgard’s destruction, so she couldn’t maintain her power for long!
“I will try!” Steve said as he started to try to bend the blade. Steve knew that he wouldn’t lose anything even if he followed Hela’s instructions. Even if Corvus Glaive couldn’t be killed after Steve destroyed the blade, at the very least, Corvus wouldn’t have his trusted weapon anymore!
But before Steve could break the weapon, Tony descended beside Steve and immediately cut the knife in two with his laser sword! Tony was curious. He couldn’t believe that a sword that was infused with a soul to be easily destroyed, and his suspicion turned out to be correct as Corvus’ blade wasn’t damaged by his Laser sword!
“Try again, Tony!” Steve said worriedly.
T’challa came over and tried to break the sword with his Vibranium Claw. This time, however, it worked! The sword was chipped, and a line of cracks was formed all over the sword! Everyone was holding their breath as the time frame was too small! T’challa slammed the sword once more, but it wasn’t completely destroyed this time either.
“Hurry up! 40 seconds before my power stop working!” Hela said hurriedly. T’challa then frantically attacked the sword with all his might, but it seemed impossible to destroy the sword in 40 seconds time frame! At this moment, Vision came out and took the blade!
“Let me try!” Vision confidently said as he turned his right arm into a silver sword. Although he had already lost his Mind Stone, his own ability still existed. Furthermore, his body was infused with Adamantium, giving him a far better chance of destroying the sword in terms of offensive capability compared to Vibranium.
Vision’s sword collided with Corvus’ sword, and a silver light flashed from the impact. As the light subsided, Corvus’ sword was already on the ground, split into two sections! Then a surprising scene happened right before their eyes. Corvus’ sword began to rust, and in a very short amount of time, it turned into a rusty iron sword!
At the same time, Hela’s death aura also dissipated from Corvus’ body, leaving an unmoving body behind. Although Corvus Glaive was still dying, it seemed he had already recovered a little bit as he could open his mouth right now.
“I will wait for you in hell! My Lord Thanos would end you for betraying him!” Corvus said coldly at Hela! But Hela didn’t want to hear another word from Corvus’ mouth, so she immediately impaled Corvus’ head with her spike!
Now, Black Order was no more! Except if they still could consider Hela as part of them! Everyone turned their attention towards Hela as they didn’t know what the woman would do. Hela herself knew that these people didn’t trust her completely, but she really didn’t have any reason to fight the Avengers anymore.
“Now, I will not object if you want to fight me right here, but I warn you, I will not go down without a fight!” Hela said confidently. Everyone started to look at each other and nodded. They lowered their weapons as a sign that they didn’t want to start a fight with Hela either.
Even though Hela was indeed a villain that destroyed Asgard, then again, she was still Thor’s family. Furthermore, the goal right now was to defeat Thanos! If they could stand together and help each other accomplish that goal, it didn’t matter if Hela was a villain!
“We can join hands for now, but we can’t trust you completely. If you do anything suspicious, we won’t hesitate to put you down regardless of how many people would suffer for it!” Steve said as he stepped forward to warn Hela.
“A wise choice! I will give you a gift for our little alliance!” Hela said as he suddenly held her hands above her head. “Kingdom of death!” Hela said glamorously. Everyone suddenly felt a chill down their spine as countless black spikes pierced the ground and covered almost half of the battlefield.
The spike pierced so many Chitauri soldiers and their equipment but left the Wakanda soldiers completely unscathed. They now realised how powerful Hela really was! If Hela didn’t have any intention to betray Thanos, the Avengers and Wakanda’s army would suffer a great casualty right now! Furthermore, if the Avengers chose to fight Hela after taking care of Corvus Glaive earlier, they would also suffer massive casualties from Hela’s power!
Now, they had to cooperate so that they could defeat Thanos as soon as possible!
Meanwhile, nobody knew what Hela was thinking. She was planning to snatch the Infinity Stones for herself after they killed Thanos. She wouldn’t give it up for any of these people! She had failed to conquer Asgard, and now, she was set to conquest the entire universe instead! It would be a great asset to have those Infinity Stones to accomplish her goal.
For now, the enemy’s legion has suffered heavy damage, so Steve and Hela immediately rushed towards Thanos as no enemy would stand in their way anymore. This was where the real battle started!
When they finally arrived in front of Thanos, they noticed that the hero, who tried to slow Thanos down had suffered heavy damage as well. Carol, Strange, and Spiderman, who no one noticed was joining the fight, were in bad shape! Especially Stephen Strange, who was covered in blood!
Hadn’t Carol saved Stephen in time earlier, Stephen’s head would’ve already popped like a balloon earlier! Stephen knew that both he and Carol alone wouldn’t suffice to stop Thanos, so Stephen created a portal and transferred Spiderman to help them!
However, Spiderman turned out to be not much of a help as he was overpowered by Thanos quite easily! Carol was the only one who could stand up against Thanos’ oppressive power, while Stephen and Spiderman were like a distraction to make sure Carol landed her attack!
But in the end, it didn’t matter as Thanos still overpowered them all! When the Avengers and Hela finally surrounded him, Thanos didn’t even acknowledge their presence! Apart from Carol, he didn’t consider any of these people would stand a chance against him! Their presence was no different than a bug!
