Orson raised an eyebrow, briefly glancing at Wedge before losing interest.
“Ah, so you’re the mascot of the SSR guild? Apologies, I didn’t notice you.”
Orson said nonchalantly, his gaze lingering only for a moment before moving away.
Wedge’s expression turned cold, a shiver ran through her.
In just a few short months, she realized that someone she used to be able to toy with was now capable of completely ignoring her.
It was a disregard from a whole different level.
Once, she had been the darling of capital, with players constantly following her in-game, but Orson treated her like a noob fresh out of the tutorial village.
That felt worse than losing a thousand times.

Wedge’s top lackey growled, furious on her behalf.

Orson asked innocently, shrugging.

Bradley laughed uncontrollably, holding an unsealed Artifact, with the Crimson Lizard King, who had just devoured the Golden Dragon, perched atop him.
As the number one player in Infinite Dimensions, he had incited the fury of the entire dragon race.
He was truly humble!
DonutWizard, furious, glared at Orson. He couldn’t stand seeing his beloved Wedge in this position, reduced to nothing.
His eyes turned red with fury, and he sneered venomously, “Orson, don’t push me. Don’t forget you have a sister…”
Alexander frowned, immediately stepping between Orson and DonutWizard, awkwardly laughing, “Sorry, Orgod. Annly is just a kid, he didn’t mean what he said. I’ll make sure to teach him properly.”
Alexander, from the Lambert family, had heard about Orson’s deeds. Thanks to rumors of real-world impact, Orson’s influence had long surpassed the game itself.

“His casting speed is insane! The projectile was so fast you couldn’t even see it. Who dares mess with him?!”
The crowd gasped. They had thought DonutWizard would last at least a couple of rounds, but instead, he was killed without a hint of suspense.
“No matter if you’re an esports genius or a rich kid in the real world, I can make you disappear in both worlds!”
Orson’s voice was dripping with murderous intent, and his words made the guild leaders around him shiver.
“Annly!”
Wedge’s face went cold, and her fists clenched tightly.
At her lowest point, DonutWizard had been there for her.
But watching him be killed in front of her made her blood boil.
Wedge gritted her teeth, and in a flash, a strange short sword appeared in her hand.
Alexander frowned, shaking his head at Wedge.
Then, turning to Orson, he apologetically said, “I’m so sorry, Orgod. He’s just my distant cousin, and he said something he shouldn’t have. I’ll make sure he’s properly disciplined.”
Wedge took a deep breath and stored the short sword, which was no longer in her hand.

Orson’s gaze sharpened. Although he couldn’t fully check the short sword’s stats, he had seen the symbol of the weapon in the past, during his exploration of ancient ruins.
According to the murals, at the dawn of the era, the top human artisans, the “Slaughter Artisans,” had forged twenty-four “Slaughter Artifacts” in an attempt to assassinate the Twelve Primordial Titans.
But when they finally found the Titans, they discovered that all the Primordial Titans had already fallen.
These “Slaughter Artifacts” had slowly disappeared into the mists of Infinite Dimensions history.
Now, Wedge seemed to possess one of them.
The short sword in her hand was called the Soul-Breaking Short Sword.

Alexander nodded at Orson, summoning the Ghost-Faced Dragon Lion and preparing to leave with Wedge.
“I respect you as a talent from the Lambert family, and I’ll give you face,” Orson said with a faint smile.
Alexander sighed with relief. Orson’s overwhelming presence made him feel on edge, but his determination remained strong.
He believed in his sword, in the effort he had poured into it. One day, he was confident he could reach Orson’s level, and beyond the world of Infinite Dimensions.
