Empress Hexena Xylusc flew towards them with a vague smile on her face.

She flew closer before glancing at the soul that they kept imprisoned and poisoned. She was sure he was experiencing vicious pain from having his soul poisoned by the hex poison that was extremely difficult to deal with. One also needed karmic knowledge on top of poison knowledge in order to remove it.
If it infected the soul, then one could say goodbye as the soul couldn't be easily cured even by existences such as Saints. Even the purifying ability of the Pyraxis Ember Arachnid won't hold a candle to the emperor-tier hex poison energy of the Three-Eyed Chromatic Hex Arachnid.
She arrived before them, looking quite intrigued by what they were talking about.
She couldn't hear what they were discussing since they were using soul transmissions. She saw them investigate his spatial ring that the decay energy had spared and become dumbfounded. Other than that, she simply didn't know what happened and didn't care.

However, Evelynn and Myria's gazes looked complicated, causing her to stop in her tracks.

Evelynn held her breath. She saw Myria gazing at her, indicating not to say it. After all, the fewer people who knew about the treasure, the better it was for them.
But Evelynn shook her head, sending a soul transmission, "She, of all people, deserves to know…"
Myria pursed her lips before she nodded. The one who suffered the most was indeed Empress Hexena Xylusc. It would be cruel to hide this matter from her. She deserved to know the true reason her clan was targeted.
Evelynn then walked towards Empress Hexena Xylusc and held her hand, using physical soul transmission.
She explained that damned slave's origin and his mission given by a Young Master they couldn't even begin to fathom at their level.
Empress Hexena Xylusc's expression slowly changed from wrath to confusion to experiencing a terrifying chill before looking despaired. The grip of her fingers that held Evelynn's soft hands tightened.

Evelynn felt her worries through her cold hands, "You don't worry. He confessed that this was all his doing and the Young Master had nothing to do with it. The Young Master didn't necessarily target your clan. They just happened to need the Emperor-Tier Three-Eyed Chromatic Hex Arachnid's True Soul Essence that has gotten into a 'vengeful' state, and this idiot targeted you."
"…" Empress Hexena Xylusc didn't look relieved, "This treasure- the Hell Poison Gem is an apex treasure like the one I and Myria talked about?"
Evelynn nodded lightly.
"The one we obtained is a treasure forged out of it. We don't know how but its runes haven't activated, so there's no real harm from it in keeping it for now. It cannot be used in this layer for it is powerful, probably reaching the next stage. For these reasons, the idiot didn't use it, or else we would've all died from extreme poisoning. Nonetheless, it is useless in this layer, and if I use it in the Upper Realm, our notoriety would only get bigger and bring more threats to us."
Empress Hexena Xylusc's expression looked complicated. At the very least, she didn't look afraid anymore, the pounding of her heart slowly returning to normalcy.
"Are you going to let him go?" She asked Evelynn.
Evelynn shook her head, "Of course not. We are thinking of handing him over to the authorities, mainly the Celestial Transcendent since he's reasonable and also make him help clear your clan's name while also gaining some advantages for our family. Or, we're squashing everything that happened here under the rugs and taking the treasure for ourselves in secrecy."
Hearing this, Empress Hexena Xylusc looked relieved. The last thing she wanted to do after all this was let the Six-Headed Hydra leave with the treasure.
"As the one who suffered the most, you decide."
"What-? How can I…? This is-"
Empress Hexena Xylusc turned shocked as she vehemently shook her head when Evelynn interjected.
"Well, I will let my husband decide if you aren't going to decide. Either way- he isn't the man to be bothered about treasures. Still, in my opinion, we need this treasure to survive in the future, but keeping it is also dangerous as it can further aggravate this galaxy and even another galaxy. Both decisions aren't wrong, but only one can lead to our survival- probably."
Evelynn wryly smiled.
"Then let your husband decide." Empress Hexena Xylusc heaved a sigh, "I believe he has more experience than me regarding decisions taken when survival matters the most."
"Indeed. If I had come here while I was still weak, I would've been done for." Evelynn sounded prideful.
It was a good thing she didn't take off on her own and prioritized her family's survival first. Otherwise, she would've played right into this mastermind's hands. She also had to thank Davis for sending Myria with her. Quite a lot of things wouldn't have been possible without her.
"But are you truly fine with that? If you can't vent, you'll form a Heart Demon again."
"Isn't that perfect? You can use my true soul essence to activate the treasure."
"Hexena?" Evelynn looked dumbfounded.
Empress Hexena Xylusc shook her head, "I owe you an eternal debt. If my life can protect you, then I won't hesitate to sacrifice it. You didn't hesitate to revive me with your soul essence, so I'll treat you the same. What do humans call it? Ah, reciprocity."
Evelynn felt moved, but she blinked, "There's no need to go that far. All we need is another Emperor-Tier Three-Eyed Chromatic Hex Arachnid."
"…?" Empress Hexena Xylusc blinked. Where were they supposed to find it?
She thought before it suddenly hit her from her vague memories.
"No way…"
"Yeah." Evelynn turned to look at Ancestor Alissara, who was only about fifty meters away, fearing for their master's life, who was just an Immortal King Beast. Only a single energy wave was needed to end her life when in the presence of these monsters.
"Is there any Three-Eyed Chromatic Hex Arachnid that is purely evil? Or someone similar who is locked in one of your prisons for doing many crimes and is awaiting execution?"
"This…" Ancestor Alissara didn't understand why the Chromatic Hex Empress would ask such a thing, but she didn't hide it.
"There's a female Three-Eyed Chromatic Hex Arachnid Immortal Emperor Beast who has been locked up for the past three hundred thousand years. Her crimes were trying to usurp the throne and engaging in debauchery by trying to utilize the privilege given to an Emperor-Tier Three-Eyed Chromatic Hex Arachnid who can marry eight husbands. However, after engaging in nightly activities with them, she killed them all and searched for new husbands every single time, so after we came out of seclusion, we put her in her place.
