Nathan wiped blood from his lips as he stared at the dark cloaked person beside him.
” You are Frezer from Shadow Cult? What do you say? Should we team up?”
” Damn it, I hate to say…But for the time being…We must cooperate.” Freezer gritted his teeth.
Johnson also nodded. ” We will also help. We need to get out of this place alive.”
” What do you say? I will be at vanguard?” Barry Burton looked at Gary Watson.
” I will stay behind and help you with my spells.” Gary pulled out a few scrolls and held it tightly.
So, What happened that all the fighting forces decided to group together?
All of them gathered in a formation as they looked in front of them fearfully.
” What? So you are approaching me?”
Darkness intensified as behind an army of skeletons and corpses stood the Dark Lich holding his glowing scepter.
” When I woke up, I was saddened by the fact that there weren’t many materials in this damned place.” The Lich clapped its skeletal palms.
” But lucky me, So many materials have been delivered to me. Hmm, there are knights and…Ah, someone with abundance of mana.” The Lich rubbed its chin.
” You all will make a fine addition to my undead army.” Stay updated with My Virtual Library Empire
” Rotten bastard, you think I am scared of few walking bones?” Nathan snorted as his body was covered with a powerful blue aura.
“Everyone! Attack!”
” Kill that monster!”
The vanguard attacked first. Since modern weapons were ineffective against the hoards of monsters, they simply used their own strength.
” Blazing Sword Slash!”
Barry drew out his sword and slashed out. His aura exploded with a tint of holiness, breaking the skeleton soldiers before him like twigs.
” Heavy Mountain Slash!”
*BOOM!BOOOM!*
Nathan’s sword bloomed with a heavy light as he made a vertical slash. The sword aura exploded as the skeletons and ghouls before him exploded into chunks.
As the Lich commanded, the shadow behind him rippled.
” Chains of Radiance!
” Punishment of Light!”
” Damn it! You bastards!” The Lich was stunned as he was bound by glowing golden chains.
” Hurry up and crush him. We must destroy his life core” Freezer shouted.
” Damn it, Looks like you were prepared for him.” Nathan’s face turned gloomy as he looked at the leader of the Shadow Cult’s group.
” We don’t have any time to chat. If the life core of a lich isn’t destroyed, he is basically an immortal.”
” Attack that bastard while he was restrained!”
” Damn it! Dark Mist!” The Lich raised its scepter as a dark mist blocked everyone’s vision.
” We are making a path. Hurry up and finish that monster!” Luke and Barry shouted as they jumped forward. With Barry’s swordsmanship, he easily carved out a path amidst the undead army.
” Very well, Allow me to eradicate this evil.” Nathan clenched his sword as he charged at the Lich.
” Aim at the glowing orb inside its rib!” Freezer shouted.
” NOOO!”
” Lightning Pierce!”
*BOOOM!*
The air boomed as Nathan stabbed the glowing orb in the Lich’s chest.
” We did it?”
” We killed him!”
As everyone cheered, Johnson suddenly shouted.
” Everyone! GET BACK!”
The Lich’s body suddenly expanded as it exploded into a dark mist.
” Aaargh! My body!”
” UWAARRGH!”
The members of Shadow Cult who were in charge of keeping the lich confined, suddenly melted into a pool of meat and bones due to the dark mist.
To everyone’s horror, they saw the Dark Lich’s body slowly transforming into an ordinary skeleton before turning into dust.
The darkness around the main tomb room rippled as Dark Lich appeared again.
” So? How was my trick? I hope it garnered some applause.”
” Damn it! Spell of Disguise!” Frezer cursed as he realized what happened.
Looks like the Dark Lich disguised an ordinary skeleton into his appearance and sent forward. After everyone exhausted their ultimate attacks on him, he swiftly disposed and appeared forward with his real body.
” It’s truly fun here.” The Lich raised his scepter.” Now, Be my slaves!”
Pitch black radiance erupted from his scepter as the destroyed skeletons and ghouls gathered and merged into a giant corpse monster.
With countless skeletal arms around it like a centipede’s legs, its chest area was covered by an armor of ribcages.
*ROAAAR!”
With a terrible roar, he
” Bold of you to say that, Demon!” Johnson pulled out a golden statue of a kneeling angel and stabbed it on the ground.
Johnson knelt as he clasped his hands as if he was praying.
” Oh Merciful in heavens above, shine your light and dispel evil in your sanctuary!”
*BOOOM!*
The statue started to float and exploded. A golden pillar of light shone as it created a field of golden radiance around them.
” Damn it! To think you are still hiding a holy treasure!” The Lich snorted as he took a step back.
Even the corpse monster shrunk back as burns appeared on its skin, as if someone poured burning oil on its skin.
” I have used the Statue of Angel and purified this area. It will suppress all dark and evil existence around it.” Johnson panted as he leaned against the wall.
” Professor, Are you…”
” Gary, Don’t worry about me.” Johnson clenched Gary’s hand. ” You must go and defeat that bastard quickly. The statue’s power will fade in ten minutes.”
” Rest assured, Professor. We are going to get out of this place alive.” Gary nodded as he looked at the Dark Lich.
Everyone’s wounds and ailments caused by the dark energy faded like mist.
” Alright fellas, Looks like everyone is at the end of the stick.” Nathan clenched his sword as he drank an elixir.
” I will buy one minute. Focus on killing that bastard.”
” I will…”
” Everyone, get ready!”
*Random fight happens. Skipped a fight of ten minutes*
” Haah! HAHAHA!”
The Lich was kneeling on the ground, holding his scepter to balance himself.
” Fuck, I didn’t know…There would be someone wielding the power of Holy Knight…”
Nathan was lying dead on the ground. Luke was leaning against the wall as he was trying to stop his bleeding.
However, at that moment, he didn’t care about his injury because an amazing thing was unfolding under his gaze.
” Fuck it, I knew. You were special, My man.”
Luke laughed as he saw the golden aura oozing around Barry, his sword shining like a greatsword blessed with golden holy energy.
” Hmph, You also forced me to use my trump card.” Gary also walked out as a torn golden page swirled around him.
” Looks like we both had secrets. I have gotten the power of a Grand Knight with Holy Energy.” Barry’s voice was majestic as he looked at Gary.
” I have gotten the ability to cast one rank seven spells while remaining invincible for the next five seconds.”
” Good, Let’s finish this bastards up.”
Gary and Barry both looked at each other with a confident smile. The look of finally meeting someone else with your caliber. It’s like a protagonist of a story meeting another protagonist.
Both lines are parallel, but both respect each other.
” Dark Lich! Your tyranny ends here. Radiant Knight Sword Art: Abyss Splitting Solar Slash!”
” Lightning and Wind, Heed my command! Dragon Imprisoning Lightning Seal!”
” You bastards! If I die, I will take both of you down with me!” The lich roared as he raised his scepter and slammed down. Thousands of evil ghosts burst out as he charged towards them.
” BOOM! BOOOM!”
As the dust settled, Barry’s sword crushed the life core of the lich.
” How…Is this…Possible,,,”
The lich was unwilling as his voice faded. Barry slumped on his knees as he panted.
” Hahaha!”
Gary also sat down and laughed loudly. ” Ahahaha!”
” We did it!”
” Yeah. Bro…We fucking did it! HAHA!”
” Yes, How wonderful. Both of you did it.”
Everyone was startled as they heard a third person laughing and applauding.
When their gaze fell on him, they were stunned.
” Yo-You! You are from…Elysian High!” Gary trembled as he pointed at the newcomer.
” Jonathan…You are Jonathan Veneto!”
Jun Tianyun walked out gracefully as he adjusted his suit. ” Hmm, I don’t need to introduce myself then.”
” As I said, You guys did it.” Jun Tianyun smiled and clapped.
” And now, You are done for.”
” Huh?”
Before Gary could move, Jun Tianyun appeared before him, kicking his chest and sending him flying.
” UAAGHH!”
Gary rolled on the ground as he coughed a mouthful of blood. Jun Tianyun knelt before him as he poked his finger on Gary’s forehead, slowly pressing downwards.
” I am honestly interested in this thing. Alas, Since I play with fortune telling, I know how much of a bitch it could be.”
Jun Tianyun murmured as blood seeped from Gary’s forehead.
” UAAAGH! NO! DON’T TAKE IT! DON’T!”
Gary felt as if his soul was splitting apart as Jun Tianyun pulled something out of him.
” Yo-You bastard! Wh-What are you…”
” SSSHHHH!”
Jun Tianyun turned his head around and shushed Barry, gesturing him to stay put.
His gaze was pressurizing, like the gaze of a god. Barry trembled as he couldn’t even move.
*PSSHH!*
Gary’s exploded as his brain matter splattered around with an obscene squelch. It was an extreme gorey scene, but Jun Tianyun remained unblemished as a golden book appeared in his hand.
” Ah, Got it. It would be great to study it.”
The book buzzed as it tried to escape. But Jun Tianyun simply threw it inside his God’s Space.
” Now, the next person is…”
Rubbing his palm, Jun Tianyun’s gaze fell on Barry Burton.
