Chapter 223: Unexpected Gains
Isabella was just about to watch the private video collection of Alex that she had paid a fortune for when the door to her room burst open to reveal her older half brother Angel. Isabella had already loaded the video onto her computer screen, and it was playing in the background while she stared at her brother in horror.
The handsome and vicious young drug prince stared at his little sister with a look of disgust on his face as he saw what she was watching, and immediately demanded she hand over all of her devices that could connect to the internet. There was no fury in his voice, yet Isabella knew by experience that the man was absolutely enraged that she would watch such a thing.
“Isabella… Hand me all of your electronics… now….”
Isabella knew better than to argue with her brother. The man was a vicious sociopath who took pleasure in inflicting pain and suffering on other people. And he had no qualms about doing the same to her, especially if she did something that made him and the family look bad, like watching a pornographic video with a gringo male….
She immediately tried to defend her actions, but was backhanded across the face before she could come up with a reasonable explanation for her actions.
“Brother, please! It’s not what it looks like!”
Angel, however, did not wait for the young woman’s response and immediately became violent with her, striking her across the face and knocking her to the floor with a bloody lip. He then grabbed hold of the laptop and found that the video was a downloaded file from her instant messaging app.
But what made Angel all the more curious was the fact that the man in these videos was someone he had already met. Someone who he was already angry at, and now his sister was watching inappropriate videos of this man? Just who the hell was he?
“Who is he!?! Who is this man!!?! And why do you have these videos of him!?!”
There was no way Isabella could possibly admit she had paid for them, and knowing that Alex would be in danger if her older brother decided to take out her rage on him, she did not answer the question, and instead apologized while crying, hoping it would be enough to subside her older brother’s rage.
“I’m sorry, alright! I was contacted by a stranger who said they had videos I would be interested in! I was curious that’s all! I didn’t know they were like that! I thought they were perhaps some street fight videos or perhaps something more… violent….”
Isabella wasn’t entirely lying when she said this. When Redacted told her that “she knew what kind of videos they were” she thought that the anonymous user meant that they were videos of Alex being violent with people on the streets. Her mind, while dark and twisted, was still naïve in many ways, especially when it came to innuendo.
Angel, however did not immediately forgive his sister, as he was more interested in who this gringo was, and why he was making moves on Maria. There was no way it could be a coincidence that his own flesh and blood sister had access to such spicy content regarding the same man that Angel now found himself in a potential romantic rivalry with…
Thus, the young drug prince slapped his sister across the face again before demanding to know just who Alex was.
“Who is he! Answer the question dammit, Isabella!”
Yet Isabella refused to give Alex’s name and was quick to deny that she even knew who he was.
“I don’t know! I was just told they were some videos I would be interested in! That’s all it is! I swear!”
Evidently Angel could not read or write in English, because if he could, he would have seen the actual conversation that Isabella had with redacted and she would have been in a lot more trouble… But since Isabella had never lied to him before, he felt she was incapable of doing so. Thus, he actually believed her bullshit and took his anger out by breaking the girl’s laptop by repeatedly slamming it on some hardwood furniture.
Once he had finished his little fit of rage, Angel gave the young woman a warning, one that made her incredibly anxious.
“If I find out you’re in contact with that bastard I will fly you both alive, and feed your hearts to the fucking eagles. Do you understand me, princess?”
There was a specific amount of venom laced into the last word that Angel had spoken, but it got the point across and thus Isabella silently nodded her head thrice, eventually causing her older brother to calm down enough that he adjusted his coat before striding out the door of Isabella’s room which he slammed shut behind him on the way out.
The moment Angel was gone, Isabella stopped crying, and frowned something fierce as she blurted out her true thoughts about the man, thoughts she could not express while in his presence out of fear of retaliation.
“Fucking asshole! There’s a certain order for things! You can’t just beat me like that without my consent….”
While Alex had no idea what was happening in the family home of Jalisco’s most prominent drug lord, he was alerted to two minor changes in Isabella’s affection:

He would have no idea of course what tales Isabella had heard about him, or what the system meant by Isabella was angered by Angel’s arrogance. But when it came to a young woman with such a fucked up mind, Alex was certain he did not want to know the answer to either such questions. Instead, he wanted to spend the brief reprieve he had been given to search for the fifth and final heroine in this Mexican arc that was filled with bloodshed and cruelty.
