Finally, after a few minutes, the slime freed Alex's face and transformed back into the ball shape with two beady black eyes that were as dark as the abyss.
"Plum~! Plum~!"
"I guess, I'm also happy and delighted to meet you too." As if Alex understood the language of the organism in front of him, he answered back.
Spirit beasts are highly intelligent beings just like humans the moment they are born into this world but rarely there is a spirit beast with intelligence comparable to a child.
"Plum~!"
"Yeah, I'm fine now. Thanks to you." Alex reached out his hand to pat it on the head. It was like patting a water balloon or jello with a highly fluid and creamy texture.
"Plum~! Plu~! Plum~!"
"Haha! Fine, I will pat you like this whenever you want me too." Alex played some more with the Slime Spirit and while doing that he also examined its body very closely.
"It's very rare to find Spirit beast that is not arrogant. You got lucky this time." The heavenly Spirit appeared behind Alex as he was in the middle of remolding the slime into different shapes.
"I was waiting for you to come out. Why hadn't you told me before that something like this was gonna happen? You know how dangerous that was. I was this close to raping those two sisters, not to mention I might have lost my life. And care to explain, what exactly happened to me, I still don't understand." Alex was quite mad at her for not revealing something so important that it could have costed his life.
"... Do you remember that time when you felt something come out of the Heavenly book and slam into you, well you were not hallucinating on that day. The thing that your body absorbed on that day was a special inheritance given by the Book to its contractor. It's the Bloodline of a sacred species that is unique to this universe. What happened yesterday is because of that bloodline awakening. Without a strong soul, a normal human would not have been able to withstand that process."
"One of the advantages of binding your soul with a Spirit Beast's is that it not only nourishes your soul but also strengthens it quite a lot, just like a soul stone. Thas why I told you to find one as quickly as possible. I thought it would have taken another year or possibly more than that for your bloodline to awaken so you had enough time to find one but I guess I was wrong. Fortunately, you were near enough to this little spirit beast for me sense its existence or you really might have died by exploding."
Alex: "..."
"Look, I know I made a terrible mistake but there is more than one bloodline in you other than the Human, and the one you awakened yesterday. It was something I didn't take into account so I can only apologize to you."
"Wait for a second, you said there are more than one foreign bloodlines in me." Alex was pretty shocked with the near-death experience in which he had zero control but knowing that his body housed two different bloodlines was really hard to take in.
"Yes, but that's not something I'm allowed to answer. Its too soon for you to know. When the times comes someone else will explain it to you about it, so have patience. And just so you know, the third bloodline is still lying dormant but its awakening won't be as harsh as the one you had yesterday. But it would be better for you to get stronger as soon as possible." The moment she said that her figure vanished before Alex could ask her more questions.
"Dammit, someday I'm really going to... wait a minute, did she just say the word yesterday. Fuck me!" Alex exclaimed as he turned to look at the slimy spirit beast for an answer.
"Plum~!" Yes, came the answer.
"Fuck, a whole day has gone by. I need to get back to Ciera and her little sister." Alex immediately exited his soul space and opened his eyes to the view of the chamber and the statues again. He will have to think about punishing the heavenly spirit some other day, for now, he needs to get back to the lake and get them out of that place.
The Slime Spirit constantly sent sounds into Alex's soul space to request him to let it out when he exited his soul space. It took him a few seconds but Alex was able to let the spirit beast also exit his soul space.
Being able to step outside for the first time, the Slime Spirit clearly looked very excited. It jiggled and jumped like a jumping bean from one place to another.
"Plum~!"
The feeling of freedom that the spirit beast was experiencing was transferred directly to Alex's soul, enabling him to know exactly what it feeling.
The connection between the two of them was different than the one Alex had with the puppets. It was more direct because the book didn't come in between.
For a moment Alex thought he was the spirit beast himself extending tentacles out from his body and swinging around the statues like the Slime was doing right now but just as he had that thought, something really weird happened.
Alex felt an odd sensation of something growing out from behind his back. Alex had full control of it just like his arm and when Alex turned his face behind to check whether he was hallucinating or not, he was left mouth agape and eyes wide open.

Outside the massive gates of the Ruins.
Alex stood at its entrance. On his shoulder, sat a glob of orange and black colored spirit beast that anyone would find cute the first time they see it.
"Shall we head out, Plum?" Alex asked.
"Plum~!"
"Haha~, hold tight then. Its gonna get a little bumpy."
"Plu~ Plum~!"
"Yeah, Yeah, there nothing in this world that can escape your grip so falling down from my shoulder is impossible. Let's go, we got two chicks to save." Alex teased the spirit beast that he named after the sound it makes while speaking, Plum.
"Plum~!"

Only dust was left blowing in the place where Alex stood after he vanished into thin air.
The four Demon Beasts at the Peak stage of Rank 1 were nowhere in sight when Alex came out of the chamber and made his way back to the entrance. Maybe, they had already dispersed yesterday after fighting with each other, not that Alex cared.
As Alex was going back, he came across many Demon Beast that made up the Demon Beast Horde yesterday. Since those four Demon Beast had stopped fighting, it was natural that the weaker ones would come back to live in their natural habitat and territories.
It as already past noon when Alex reached back to the lake.
"Plum, do you mind taking a dip inside the water with me," Alex said as he removed his shirt before placing it into his inventory.
Alex's spiritual sense has been running all this time. So he already knew the girls were safe and sound inside the pocket cave.
