“Today is going to be a very fun day, I’ll enjoy killing him”
Wesley glance in the direction where Rex left in a hurry, he can feel Rex’s aura slowly getting further as he ran in the Emham Forest direction.
The sight of Rex who is usually calm and collected running makes the grin on his face widen,
He’s longing to see the despair on Rex’s face realizing that he’s the one that wins, even thinking about it right now makes his body brimming with joy.
But then suddenly, Wesley grabs his mouth as he feels something is weird.
The blood in his body seems to be reacting in a weird way, it’s almost as if he was about to throw up blood but Wesley swallow it back.
“Sir Wesley, Are you okay?”, Indira asks from the side.
She saw Wesley suddenly grab his mouth, the confused mix with a surprised look on Wesley’s face makes Indira looks at him in concern.
Wesley waves his hands, “No need to worry, I’m fine!”
After saying that, Wesley gets back into the car again before Hans steps on the gas, the car makes a screeching sound as it heads in the Emham Forest direction.
Indira looks at the pacing car before she glances back at the man,
Even after getting freed from Rex’s Sky Imprisonment spell, the man’s body is still paralyzed so Indira hurriedly imbued her own mana into the man’s body.
With the addition of Indira’s mana, the man starts to get better faster.
But when the man is just a tad more to be freed from the paralyzing black lightning, Indira suddenly stands up abruptly before she glances around the place.
The place around is still devoid of people,
Only a handful of people saw the scene happening, but weirdly enough the FAA is still not here.
After looking around the place warily, Indira was about to help the man again but then suddenly she felt a presence on her back,
SWOOSH!
Indira swings her hand covered with a wind blade to her back,
Just like what she sensed, there really is someone on her back but her attack went through the person’s body as if the person is a ghost.
Green smoke is hovering around the person’s body,
The green eyes of the person under a black crow mask make Indira step back in surprise, she recognizes this person instantly, “SCO Messenger!”
“My name is Prof. K”, Prof. K said while tilting his head a little.
Hearing the calm tone, Indira was about to flee the place but she realized that she can’t as her body is already bounded by the green smoke coming from Prof. K.
Prof. K then mutters, “The time is pressing, I need you to die now”
Meanwhile,
After managing to imprison the seventh rank Awakened, Rex and Delta immediately resume their journey to Emham Forest which is already near.
The people they passed didn’t even notice them,
Not one of them realizes that there’s a white streak of lightning that passed them, the people suddenly got hit by the wind from how fast they’re going without knowing why.
BLITZ!
Rex saw Emham Forest is already within vision,
‘That’s the others’, he thought when he saw two cars heading to Emham Forest.
But then suddenly, Rex saw two figures are about to intercept the cars, and just from a scan he finds that one of them is in early seventh rank while the other is in mid-seventh rank.
Seeing this, Rex then signals to Delta to dash towards them.
BLITZ!
In just a split second, the two Awakened looks back to only found Delta is already near them with her mouth opened intending to bite them.
The mid-seventh rank Awakened manages to react to the sudden attack,
He circulate his mana before pushing both of them out of Delta’s path, they both got propelled away thanks to the spell the mid-seventh rank Awakened used.
BOOM!
The ground cracked as Delta and Rex crashed,
Seeing the sudden attack, both cars made a screeching sound before stopping.
Adhara opened the driver’s seat window, the dust started to fade as she realized that it was Rex and Delta who crashed, “What is happening?! Is the Atkins Family attacking us?!”
“Just go to Emham Forest! I’ll handle this”, Rex replied hurriedly.
Hearing this, Adhara nodded her head before the cars drove again heading to Emham Forest which was weirdly devoid of any guards or even people.
Not one person can be seen around the Emham Forest entrance,
Emham Forest should always be guarded since only Awakened can enter the forest, normal humans can’t go there because there are mutated animals in there.
But the gate of Emham Forest is unguarded, and this makes Adhara frowns.
Rex and Delta’s eyes sizzle with lightning, they glare at the two Awakened before the both of them turn into a streak of lightning moving very fast.
The early seventh rank Awakened was caught off guard,
Only the mid-seventh rank can react to their movements, and before the early seventh rank Awakened knows it, his stomach had already got torn.

A fine cut from Rex’s katana was left on the man’s stomach,
Another wound is also left from Delta’s claws on the man’s legs, this makes the man falls to the ground in pain as he can’t even react to their movements.
With the 30% debuff from failing the killing intent quest gone,
Rex’s stats become even higher than before, he’s now in his peak performance without any hindrance like the debuff he got from before.

There’s a sky black lightning tentacle that sprouts from the ground piercing the injured early seventh rank Awakened, it pierced the man’s heart easily.

When Rex was about to attack the mid-seventh rank Awakened,
A black sedan arrived near them, the black sedan stopped in between the mid-seventh rank Awakened and Rex before a man stepped out.
Just from the green hair and the grin, Rex instantly recognizes this man as Wesley.
Wesley walks out of the black sedan followed by Hans, the wide grin becomes even wider upon seeing Rex’s tense expression, “Why the surprised look? You know our meeting is inevitable”
“I asked for peace but I know you’re not willing to compromise”, Rex replied coldly.
Hearing this, Wesley laughs heartily as if he just heard the funniest joke, “Of course, I’m not going to compromise with a kid like you, Where am I going to put my face if I do that?”
“Is that what this is? Just for reputation?”, Rex asks clenching his Amuerus Katana.
The one in front of him is not someone he can fight even though he just reached a new realm, Wesley is an eighth rank Awakened which makes Rex dizzy from trying to see his stats.
Rex realizes that their power is still very wide apart just from this alone,
All of Wesley’s stats are question marks after opening his stats, this is the same when Rex saw Jarvald for the first time or even scanned the Ochyra University’s principal back then.
Wesley shrugs his shoulders, “You worked with the Reed Family and even humiliate me”
“If you just gave me the spellbooks instantly then It won’t be necessary to kill you, but now that it has come to this, I have to kill you no matter what”, he added.
“The FAA will come in a second, are you sure about this?”, Rex asks.
Although the official meeting between the UWO and SCO will be held in a bit, there are still people around this place and the FAA will definitely come in a second.
The path they went through was destroyed,
Certainly, one of the people that saw this will call the FAA and report this incident.
But contrary to Rex’s expectation, Wesley replied, “You don’t have to worry about that”
“I’m Wesley Atkins, you don’t really expect that my connections won’t be able to handle this right? No one will be able to save you, not even Vargas”, he added.
Rex frown upon hearing this, ‘Who is the one who has the power to do this?’

While Rex is dwelling on his thought, “What you should be worried about is them”, Wesley said.
Hearing this, Rex looks at Wesley in confusion.
Then suddenly,
Rex saw somekind of stone in Wesley’s hand emitting powerful energy.
After Wesley attracts Rex’s attention back, he then points to Emham Forest on Rex’s side with his eyes before he asks, “Do you want to know what this is?”
“Wesley! Don’t!”, Rex shouted in surprise after scanning the stone.
But the smile on Wesley’s face grows even wider upon seeing Rex’s desperate expression, “I wonder if your lover will die from this, but I’m sure the others will die”
“Say goodbye to your family”
This makes Rex want to dash to Wesley but it was too late,
Crush!
Wesley crushes the stone in his hand before suddenly, a loud explosion can be heard.
KABOOM!!
“MOTHER!!”, Rex shouted after an explosion coming from the inside of the Emham Forest was heard, the explosion was very powerful that even the ground trembled a bit.
Since there are no guards,
The two cars where the others are in went inside the forest, and the explosion came exactly from the Emham Forest which makes Rex freeze on his spot.
From scanning the stone, Rex knows that the stone is somekind of a detonator.
Rex realized that the car the others are in seemed to be knick with a bomb, the look on his face makes Wesley laugh out loud in joy.
His laugh reverberated to the surrounding,
Without wasting any second, Rex and Delta dashes towards the Emham Forest.
Wesley let them go as he kept laughing evilly, the desperation on Rex’s face is the expression he wanted to see the most, and seeing his family die will definitely break him.
Then, after Rex realized that everyone around him died will Wesley kill him.
In just a moment, Rex arrived inside Emham Forest and saw two cars that are already flipped and burning with fire not far from the entrance.
Evelyn, Gistella, and Adhara survived the explosion,
Although Gistella is in an unstable state, she still remembered to conjure a barrier in the nick of time before the explosion happened.
This helps the three of them survive with only minor injuries,
Rex then saw Adhara kneeling beside the right burning car blankly, she gazes at the car where her father and Rex’s parents should be in now engulfed in fire.
She’s still in a state of disbelief as she looks at the blazing car,
Since the explosion was planted by the Atkins Family, the explosion is so powerful that even Adhara might die if she got the full brunt of the explosion.
Much less her father, or Rex’s parents that are only normal humans.
The explosion definitely burnt their bodies to a crisp without leaving any left to mourn, there is not even one possibility that the parents survived that explosion.
After blankly looking at the burning car, Adhara notices Rex’s arrival.
She turns her head towards him slowly exposing her crooked smile as she’s still in disbelief, “This is not real right? This must be a dream right?”, she mutters lightly.
Hearing this, Rex was about to head over her but then suddenly,
BOOM!
Adhara’s body exploded with purple fire creating a powerful shockwave that blow Gistella and Evelyn away, her eyes are also burning with purple fire as she glares at Rex.
Even the red serpent spirit that now has already turned violet appears on her back.
The blazing purple fire surprised Evelyn to her core, she already expected that Adhara will get stronger after reaching the sixth rank but not by this much.
‘Why is she so strong?!’, Evelyn thought in surprise.
She can feel the purple fire heat even from a distance between them, the Purple Fire is certainly stronger than her own Dark Fire which caught her off guard.
This is the unique element Adhara has,
It’s called the Fire of Jealousy that becomes more powerful in response to Adhara’s feelings, and currently, her feeling of anger is through the roof after seeing her father die.
“You killed them…”, Adhara mutters as she slowly levitated.
The serpent spirit on her back hisses towards Rex angrily while the purple fire helps Adhara levitates slowly, she looks very terrifying right now.
But seeing this, Rex only gazes at her calmly.
He got down from Delta calmly,
Rex only stare at Adhara, he didn’t even try to calm her down as if he wanted this to happen.
After glancing at the burning car where her father should be once more, Adhara becomes even angrier as she points her hands toward Rex, “YOU KILLED THEM!!”

Purple fire burst from her hands burning everything on its path,
Rex and Delta jumped in the opposite direction to dodge the purple fire, but they then saw Adhara’s purple fire become even stronger.
Her teeth and nails started to slowly turn sharper, and her tears evaporated by her own fire.
Upon seeing this, Gistella creates a barrier around Adhara before Evelyn also covers the barrier Gistella created with her own Dark Fire to enhance its attributes.
BAM!

Adhara fueled by the realization that her father is burnt to crisp started punching the barrier.
Her body started making cracking sounds, the animal side inside of her wanted to come out in response to her burning anger.
But sensing that Wesley is approaching the forest Rex acted,
BLITZ!
Rex penetrates through the barrier Gistella and Evelyn made before he hugs Adhara’s body, he embraces Adhara in his arms as she struggles to break free.
Adhara then hugs Rex back before she started to burn Rex’s body with her purple fire.
“Rrrghh!”, Rex grunted feeling his body burning.
Instead of letting go, Rex hugs Adhara tighter before he whispers something in her ears that makes her retaliation instantly stop.
Adhara looks at Rex in disbelief before Rex nodded his head once again,
The purple fire slowly receded as Adhara lock her eyes on Rex trying to see if he was lying, but even his emotional aura doesn’t have any hint of lying.
“Oh? Fighting against each other?”, Wesley suddenly said from the back.
Wesley walks nonchalantly while looking at the scene in front of him in amusement, the wide grin is still etched on his face as he walks closer to them.
Hearing this, Rex turns around to glare at Wesley.
Seeing Rex’s expression, Wesley then said, “You lost… I’m a winner and always have been”
Rex and Adhara got down to the ground as the others also gets closer to them, all of them are glaring at Wesley as if they wanted to eat him.
“Evelyn Luc… your father will answer regarding this”, Wesley mutters while looking at Evelyn.
After saying that, Wesley’s eyes landed on Rex again before he then said while putting his hands on his pocket arrogantly, “Are you surprised that it turns out his way, Rex?”
“I know about this place, I know about your meetings, and I even know about Igor that you kidnap just to act as a backup plan if things go wrong just like you did with the spellbooks”
“You’re predictable, that’s why you lost”
Rex stares at Wesley dead in the eye without even reacting,
Even under Wesley’s mocking gaze, Rex kept silent as the others are standing behind him.
Growl!
Delta bares her fangs from the back while glaring at Wesley.
But Wesley ignore all of these antics and said, “You made a fatal mistake… Just from the fear of getting attacked by me, you refused to help Edward find his family”
“Your caution has cost you your friend to become an enemy”, he added.
Hearing this, Adhara widen her eyes as she realized what Wesley meant as she glance at Rex.
The tense expression on Rex’s face shows that he’s also surprised by what Wesley said, and this makes Wesley smile in ridicule, “It’s your dearest friend, Edward!”
“Edward came to me asking for help in search of his family…”
“He was so desperate in finding his family that he even kidnaps Igor back for me and spill all of your secrets, I know that there’s a hidden place in Emham Forest that you used to hide just like when you hide your family from me”
But then, Wesley chuckles, “I’m surprised how easy it was for him to trust me”
“He really thought that I will help him find his family?”
“Even when I told him that I already found his family, he really believed in me and asked to meet with them. But in reality, I didn’t find his family, I didn’t even search for them”
After saying that, Wesley started to laugh like a maniac.
“Sending me those pictures of me cheating, you got what you deserve for threatening me”
The joy he’s currently feeling right now makes his body brimming with pleasure, he got Rex on the ropes with no one to help and nowhere to hide.
While he’s laughing in joy, Rex also started laughing with him.
This makes Wesley frown as his laughing stop, he looks at Rex with a frown, “What are you laughing at boy? Did you finally snap?”
Instead of answering, Rex kept laughing making Wesley angry.
Even Adhara on the side was confused when she saw that Rex is laughing in happiness, he was acting as if Wesley just said the funniest joke back.
After laughing at his contentment, he then said, “Is it Edward who is stupid or you?”
Hearing this Wesley frowned in confusion,
“It should be me the one that is surprised how easily you trust the information Edward gave”, Rex added after seeing Wesley’s confused expression in contempt.
The tense expression on Rex’s face slowly turns into a mocking smile,
Wesley frown upon hearing this, he doesn’t like the expression on Rex’s face that somehow brings concern and worry into his heart.
Especially the confident look on Rex’s face that wipe the smile from his own face.
Seeing the change in expression on Wesley’s face, Rex smiles before he flicks his fingers, “Do you really think Edward will turn on me? You’re the fool, not Edward”
Just right after Rex flicked his fingers,
A couple of people came out of the dark slowly led by a guy whose body is covered with a dark aura, these people make Wesley widen his eyes in utter shock!
“I’m not the one that’s going to lose Wesley… You are!”
