Rex glared at Kyran with killing intent fully exposing himself,
The thick bloody air around Rex suffocates Kyran as he was surprised that such killing intent exists beyond the usual calm and collected facade of Rex.
It’s so thick that makes Kyran’s body feel small and weak,
Usually, he’s the predator preying on others weaker than him but now he’s standing in front of a real predator, something he just provoked by letting himself get taken over by the darkness.
Although Rex plans on letting Kyran embrace the darkness and become his executor.
The thought of Kyran attacking normal citizens with his Awakened power that is granted by himself makes his blood boil, he didn’t like this at all, and in a way, it is his fault.
Rex has killed many humans during his time after getting the system,
But not once has he ever intentionally hurt normal citizens that have no power, he considered it to be taboo to use his power on the normal human that is not an Awakened.
And because of that, seeing the woman is bruised ignites Rex’s anger.
“She’s a normal human, and you dare to be rough with her for struggling which I highly doubt will succeed since you’re a fucking fifth rank Awakened?”, Rex added fiercely.
No matter how much the woman struggles or flails,
She’s not but a normal human with all of her stats in the first digit, she won’t even be able to break free from a first rank Awakened much less a fifth rank Awakened like Kyran.
The killing intent coming from Rex makes Kyran’s dark element feeble,
It’s like the dark element knows when or not to influence Kyran, and this makes his entire body freeze as he avoided Rex’s glare.
The woman has short breaths as she got influenced by Rex’s killing intent,
She’s gasping for air as she hugs the green-haired kid, and before Rex can retract back his killing intent a notification from the system appears.
Rex almost got surprised to death when he saw a notification appear,
He thought that his killing intent ignites the system’s quest that will require him to kill Kyran, but thankfully it’s not and the notification intrigued Rex instead.

The notifications from the system surprised Rex for a bit, it’s not something he knows exists since the system never told him anything about this.
It’s the first time he’s angry with his pack so this is the first,
‘What will happen to Kyran if I demote him into an Omega?’, Rex asks inside his head.

Rex frowned upon reading this, ‘80% aside from agility and mental?’
‘Will I be able to put Kyran back to Beta if I needed him to?’, he asks again.

But upon reading this, Rex becomes confused, ‘Isn’t Luna the same as Female Alpha? What is the difference between them?’
Although Rex doesn’t know much about the Werewolf hierarchy,
Rex remembered that his mother once mention to him that in the legends a Luna is the queen of a Werewolf pack, they’re as intimidating as the Alpha and also very powerful.
The tale she told back then about the furred creature of the night is not the first time,
His mother always told him that story since that story always scares Rex the most when he was a child, and because of that his mother once mention this Luna Werewolf.
But from the system’s explanation, it’s clear that the system differentiates the two.

The highest-ranking member of the Werewolf pack just below the Alpha, Female Alpha is symbolic of the never-ending craving for power that will help the Alpha in a battle to help reach the Alpha’s goals. A Female Alpha’s job is to share the fight alongside the Alpha and always be there whenever the Alpha needs help in battle.
After the notification explaining the Female Alpha,
Rex waited for a bit more but the Luna explanation didn’t come, this makes him frown as the system didn’t explain to him the Luna Werewolf which makes him a bit suspicious.
‘Why are you keeping this a secret system? What are you planning’, Rex thought with a frown.
But the system didn’t answer just as he expected,
While Rex is reading this, he forgot that Kyran is still in front of him unmoving.
He then snaps back from his thoughts and approaches Kyran with steady steps walking past the shivering woman that is hugging the green-haired kid,
Thud!
Rex arrives with a rough stomp in front of Kyran who is avoiding his gaze,
“Make sure to control yourself next time, but for now you need to be punished”, Rex said.
Hearing this, Kyran looks up to Rex’s eyes with a confused look before Rex commands the system, ‘System, demote Kyran to become an Omega’
Just after he thought of that,
Kyran suddenly feel his body burning as his power got drained immensely, it was like something sucked out of his power like a torrent while simultaneously strengthening his body.
His muscles bulge even more through his clothes, but he can feel some restraint in his body.
The system said that all of his stats except for Mental and Agility are reduced by 80%
All of the taken stats will be distributed to the Endurance stat, and Rex already knows what this serves since the Omega’s sole purpose is the stress reliever and also a shield for the Alpha.
Thud!
Kyran falls onto his knees as he looks at his body in disbelief,
“Rex, What is happening to me? My power is leaving me!”, Kyran exclaims in disbelief.
Rex scoffed before he turns away from Kyran and said, “I gave you your power and I can also take it back, just remember that and reflect on yourself”
After saying that, Rex grabs the mother and the kid before he left the room.
While Kyran was left in shock as his power left his body, he then felt his body burning which makes his clothes drenched in sweat.
Unknown to Kyran, there’s an Omega symbol that appears on his chest.
After leaving the room,
Rex poked out his head to see the surroundings and finds there are many students, he then decided to wait for a bit more before leaving the room.
The morning class was about to begin and at that time Rex immediately dashes away.
Both the woman and the green-haired kid are carried by Rex as he dashes heading to room 505, he will be meeting with Evelyn as he told her before.
Arriving in front of room 505,
The guards saw Rex as their hearts tighten, they gulp harshly seeing Rex striding toward them.
Rex notices their stiff expressions as he can even hear the guards’ beating heart that is thumping like a drum, this makes him confused as they shouldn’t be that scared of him.
‘What’s wrong with them? Did Evelyn tell them something?’, Rex thought in confusion.
But he then shakes his head knowing that Evelyn wouldn’t dare tell them something about him, that is what he thought at least since that will be a great mistake.
“I’m here to see Evelyn, is she in the room?”, Rex asks.
Hearing this, one of the guards stutters before finally opening her mouth, “W-We didn’t do anything to her, she attacked first. This is just a misunderstanding”
Rex frown upon hearing this, ‘What are they talking about?’
Since Rex destroyed the training ground not too long ago as his element reaches the mid-Ultimate Rank, and also the fact that he killed a seventh rank Undead makes the guards feel pressured under his presence.
No one can blame them though,
Rex is literally the youngest Awakened that has power equivalent to a seventh rank Awakened, although Gerrard has seventh rank power, he’s not a student anymore.
He’s older than Rex by a solid couple of years, so Rex still holds the title.
“What misunderstanding?”, Rex asks in confusion.
But just after he said that Evelyn came out of her room and signaled for Rex to come inside.
The guards didn’t even question or even notice the two-person Rex is carrying as they were busy clearing the supposed misunderstanding that Rex didn’t know about.
Entering the room, Rex puts down the mother and son before he glances at Evelyn.
“I’ll keep them safe in one of my places far from here, Wesley will not be able to find them so you don’t have to worry”, Evelyn said.
Rex nodded his head but then suddenly,
The woman asks meekly from the side, “Y-You both aren’t Wesley’s subordinates?”
“No we’re not, we’re going to take down Wesley. Do you have any problems with that?”, Evelyn turns her head towards the woman and asks.
Upon hearing this, the woman widens her eyes in surprise.
But she then replied while shaking her head, “I don’t care about Wesley, as long as my son is not harmed I will do anything so please don’t bring my son into this”
“I’m sorry ma’am but we cannot let go of your son since he’s essential to our plan”, Rex said.
He then added, “But don’t worry we’ll make sure you and your son aren’t harmed and after this is all done we will release you, so don’t do anything stupid until then, and just trust us”
After saying that, the woman nodded her head decisively.
The green-haired kid is called Igor and he’s the bastard son of Wesley’s affair with this woman, Igor is the one Rex is after since this will surely ignite Wesley knowing that Igor is taken by Rex.
With this, Daniel will definitely believe that Wesley played around behind her daughter’s back.
Even if Wesley tries to deny it, Daniel can just request him to undergo a DNA test with Igor and everything will be put to light and Wesley will not have anything more to say.
But Rex has other plans for Wesely,
“Are you sure we shouldn’t just bring Igor to Daniel to expose Wesely? It’ll take care of him faster”, Evelyn said with a frown.
Rex shakes his head firmly, “No, He’ll just get back to me later”
“Even if Daniel knows about his affair, he can’t just blatantly kill Wesley. The best thing he could do is cripple the Atkins Family using the Burton Family’s power, even though the UWO and FAA wouldn’t meddle of a personal vendetta, it’s dire times and they might meddle”, Rex explained.
Hearing this, Evelyn sighed, “I know, but it’ll be too risky”
“To assure my family’s safety, I will take care of the Atkins Family for good. Nothing will be left of them, I’ve had my patience”, Rex replied.
Evelyn nodded her head knowing that Rex is already set his mind to this plan.
She then asks, “So what now?”
“It’s a waiting game right now, but I’m sure it’ll not take long for Wesley to take the bait with this kid on our hand”, Rex replied with a mischievous smile.
But after he said that, Rex then remembered something, “Aren’t you going to explain?”
“Explain what?”, Evelyn asks in confusion.
Rex then points at the door before he added, “The guards are scared of me and they’re talking about a misunderstanding, What are they talking about?”
“And when did you get that cut?”
Since they just finished their business regarding the woman and Igor, Rex just noticed that there’s a burnt scar on Evelyn’s cheek that seems to be recent.
Rex brushes Evelyn’s red hair back with his hand before he tilts her head to the side,
While holding onto Evelyn’s cheek with his hand and tilting her head, the burnt wound becomes evident and it takes the shape of claw wounds which makes Rex frown.
Evelyn touch Rex’s hand before she replied, “About that…”

Later that night,
Edward is back inside the house where his uncle and Zelene live, he’s on the terrace smoking his cigarette while looking at the night sky desperately.
He just got back a couple of minutes ago,
During the last couple of days and even until today afternoon, Edward is searching left and right for his family asking everyone he thinks might help for a favor.
Edward even asks Linda to help but she can’t help regarding personal matters.
The best way he could think of is reporting this to the FAA, but if the Reed Family has them then there’s a slim chance that the FAA can even help him.
Although the FAA is good, some of them are still corrupted by greed.
But even after trying his all, he didn’t get any lead at all.
Only the somber cold night air embraces his skin as he smokes his cigarette in desperation, there’s even a bottle of alcohol on his other hand.
It belongs to his uncle, and now he’s drinking it to vent out his helplessness.
While he’s smoking and drinking alcohol, a presence suddenly appeared in front of his house but Edward is too tired to even look at the person standing in front of his house.
Edward didn’t budge from his seat as he kept smoking leisurely,
The figure that appeared in front of his house then leaped to the terrace and landed right in front of Edward, but Edward didn’t react at all as he stayed in his seat.
With his blank eyes, Edward looks at the figure in front of him and saw an unfamiliar face.
“Edward, I’m a messenger from the Atkins Family. I’m here regarding the thing you said to Hans earlier about helping you find your family”, the figure said lightly.
Hearing this, Edward gazes at the figure and replies, “That was quite fast, Am I trustworthy?”
“Due to some situation we’re handling, we decided to contact you and I’m here to make a deal in exchange for us finding your kidnapped family in the Reed Family territory”, the figure said.
Upon hearing this, Edward inhales his cigarette deeply before he flicks it away.
Blowing the smoke on the figure’s face with a blank look, he then stands up and asks, “What do you want in exchange for you helping me find my family?”
“I want you to take back Igor before Rex brought him to Daniel’s presence”
