“What are they doing here?”, Adhara mutters as she squints her eyes.
She saw a man and a woman standing just in front of Rex’s room, and upon seeing the man Adhara somewhat find the man to be familiar.
In fact, he’s really familiar,
With slow and steady steps, Adhara approaches the two before the two notice her approaching them, “I’m sorry but you’re standing in front of my room”, Adhara said.
“Are you Adhara Alpenore?”, the man asks upon seeing Adhara.
Hearing this, Adhara nodded her head before the man continues, “Nice to meet you, Adhara. I’m Duncan Platchi and this is my wife”, Duncan smiles politely while introducing themselves.
Adhara was confused as to why Duncan would be here, “Why are you here?”
“Are you searching for Rex?”, Adhara asks as she was not expecting Duncan and his wife to be waiting in front of Rex’s room, she thought that the matter with Duncan has already been settled.
Rex visits them not too long ago intending to kill Maurice,
But from the way Duncan and his wife are smiling, it seems they didn’t bore any resentment toward Rex, “No, Actually I’m here to meet with you in person”
“Meet me in person? Why would you want that?”, Adhara asks again.
The situation that she’s in still confused her, and seeing this Duncan then said, “Rex hasn’t told you yet? It’s about the relationship of our family with Rex’s”
Upon hearing this, Adhara then intervenes as she looks around.
“Let’s talk inside where we can have more privacy”, She said after seeing a member from the Reed Family is just by the side since Ari has got back from whatever he’s been doing.
The three of them enter the room before they all sat on the sofa,
Stuart pours them all a drink before Adhara looks at Duncan once again, “So, Explain your visit”, Adhara said while crossing her legs gently.
Even in front of one of the 25 Golden Crest Families’ heads,
Adhara seems to be more confident and comfortable, she even slightly looks more dominant than Duncan who kept a polite smile on his face.
“You must know that Rex visit us a couple of days ago before the descendants embark on their journey to Eqosa City, and during that time our family decided to become Rex’s subordinate. We will be under your wing from now on”, Duncan explained.
But Adhara still doesn’t get why they both came here,
If the Platchi Family has been subordinated by Rex, then for further instructions they need to wait for Rex so she’s confused as to why they wanted to meet her in person.
Duncan then smiles wryly as he looks at his wife, “Our visit today is regarding what Rex said”
“Or did to be exact…”
After saying that, Duncan signals to his wife before his wife turns her body and lifts up her hair to show a mark on the back of her neck that Rex engraved on her.
The mark is black and shaped like a sheep,
It’s the mark that Rex puts on Duncan’s wife when she refused to gauge both of her eyes out, and the last thing Rex said to Duncan was that her life is no longer hers anymore.
But before Duncan can explain,
Adhara’s expression suddenly changed making Duncan frown in confusion,
Her confused expression suddenly turns hideous upon looking at the sheep mark on the back of Duncan’s wife’s neck, it’s like a switch that happened suddenly,
BOOM!!
“Lady Adhara! You must calm down!”, Stuart shouted from the side shocked.
Out of nowhere without any sign at all, Adhara suddenly snapped as her body suddenly exploded with purple fire while fixating her eyes on Duncan’s wife.
Adhara is looking straight at the mark with her burning eyes,
The sudden change makes Duncan jolted from his seat, “Adhara? What’s wrong?”
But Adhara didn’t reply as she only glared at Duncan’s wife as if she wanted to devour her, she then mutters sinisterly as she squints her eyes, “You…”
“You smell weird, I can’t quite tell…”, she added as her tone went deeper.
Duncan is standing in front of his wife in utter confusion,
Just a couple of seconds ago Adhara was confused and she seems to be listening to him attentively, but she suddenly erupted like a volcano after seeing the mark.
He then said with beads of cold sweat, “There must be somekind of mistake”
“I can sense it too…”
Another voice suddenly appears from Duncan’s back making a chill crawl on his spine, even his wife jumped when she suddenly heard this threatening voice.
Both of them looks to their backs and saw a teenager shrouded with darkness on their back.
The teenager came out of nowhere just like a shadow,
From just a glance, Stuart who is panicking on the side instantly recognizes the teen that has his body cloaked with dark mana, “Sir Kyran, Help me calm Lady Adhara down!”
“Why would I do that?”, Kyran suddenly replied while taking out his daggers slowly.
Hearing this, Stuart becomes even more stirred, “Not you too…”
Then Kyran’s eyes went to Duncan’s wife again before he added, “I don’t know why but you smell really….delicious…”, Kyran playfully said while playing with his daggers.
Duncan who saw Kyran and Adhara for the first time was at a loss for words,
Both of them emit such a horrifying aura that he can’t believe it even with his eyes opened wide, the killing intent coming from them is also thick but Kyran’s is way thicker.
Out of the two, Duncan was concerned about Kyran more,
It’s like there’s a killer that is staring at him with a knife in hand, except the killer is actually in front of his eyes and he is holding daggers instead of a knife.
‘These two are not normal, I’m supposed to believe that they’re a fifth rank Awakened?!’
Duncan screamed inside his head as he started to regret coming here with his wife, but what Rex said that night haven’t left his head which is why he came here to verify.
He’s worried that something might really happen if he didn’t come here to verify.
But he didn’t expect it to turn out like this,
After not knowing what to do, Adhara suddenly snapped out of her daze as she retracts back her aura and lowers her killing intent.
This attracted Duncan and his wife’s attention as she said, “I’m sorry…”
“I don’t know what’s gotten into me, you must be surprised”, she apologized, it happens right after she saw the mark on the back of Duncan’s wife’s neck.
Adhara suddenly felt hungry out of nowhere,
Duncan’s wife turns into a meal right in front of her eyes, and this makes her suddenly erupt like before which catches the others and even herself off guard.
With that, Adhara also calms Kyran down as he seems to be experiencing the same thing.
The four of them then sit down on the sofa again but now Duncan is slightly stiffer, he felt both Adhara and Kyran’s aura and it’s hard to believe they’re a fifth rank Awakened.
Both of their auras are certainly of that of a fifth rank Awakened,
But Duncan can feel their battle power reached a terrifying stage of a fifth rank Awakened, he can’t sense it directly but he can feel it in his bones,
Adhara and Kyran will obliterate any fifth rank Awakened they encounter,
It’s surprising for Duncan since those who are close to Rex are freaks, they’re all so strong and he even thanked himself for becoming Rex’s subordinates.
‘If even these two becomes like this, maybe what he said is true’, Duncan thought.
He then glances at Adhara before Kyran with a complicated look, ‘Rex said that he’ll raise our family’s rank, and he seems to not be joking. I’m just going to wait for Maurice to see what he finds, but I’m quite sure we made the right decision’
Adhara then suddenly said, “So you’re saying Rex told you your wife’s life is in our hands?”
“Yes, that’s the reason we came here. If there’s anything that you two want, just consult it to me and I’ll do everything in my power to help”, Duncan replied.
This makes Adhara looks down in thought, ‘Is it regarding the next full moon?’
‘Every month we experience this weird thing as a Werewolf regarding the full moon, maybe since it’s our first year of experiencing it so we can’t really tell what’s happening’
After talking briefly, both Duncan and his wife left.
When the both of them left, Kyran then stands up from the sofa and asks, “When will Rex come back? I can’t be free with the Atkins and that assassin around us”
“I know, Rex will deal with it once he came back”, Adhara replied.
Kyran then said, “I can’t find any clue of that assassin, I tried following his scent but it’s just not possible to track him. It’s like he can guide me to the wrong place, he’s like a ghost”
“You tried following his scent? Didn’t I tell you to not go out of the university?”, Adhara scolded.
But Kyran scoffs as he continues, “I won’t be tracked that easily, and I’m going to find that assassin and kill him myself”
After saying that, Kyran then walks to his room.
“What are you doing?”, Adhara stopped him.
Hearing this, Kyran looks back at Adhara before he said, “I’m certain Ryze knows something about that assassin, and I’m going to find out even if I have to force it out of him”

Adhara grabs Kyran’s hand stopping him from entering the room,
“Kyran, stop! You can’t just force it out of Ryze when he doesn’t want to talk about it, and since when did you become like this?”, Adhara asks with a frown.
It just takes a couple of months, and Kyran suddenly becomes this ruthless.
Kyran wanted to break free but Adhara’s eyes glows purple as she reminded him warningly, “You’re not going to force anything out of Ryze, and I’m not going to say again”
Upon hearing this, both of them engage in intense eye contact.
Adhara and Kyran look at each other right in their eyes unmoving from their spot, it takes about half a minute as the tension went higher and higher before Kyran breaks their eye contact.
“Fine, but I’m telling you he knows something”, Kyran said as he walks away.
After saying that, Kyran walks toward the entrance but stopped right after he grabs the entrance handle, “Just remember if that assassin attacks again before Rex came back…”, Kyran turns around showing his sinister expression, “I’m going to force it out of him even if you try to stop me again”
“Rex wanted those close to him to be protected and that sniper is threatening us, so I’m not going to sit still and just let Ryze be as you’re too mindful of his feelings”
“You might be in charge when Rex is not here, but you’re not the real Alpha”, he added.
The expression and words from Kyran make Adhara frowns,
It’s almost as if he’s a different person than what he used to be, Kyran changed so much, “I don’t even know why Rex bothers with that deadbeat of a kid if he didn’t bother giving him any power”
Kyran shakes his head before he left the room,
Adhara is looking at the entrance blankly as she thought, ‘What happened to him?’
‘He started to change since he become a Dark Elementalist, I know some elements can change an Awakened behavior but this is just too much’
‘There’s also a tension between him and Edward, just what is wrong with him’, she then sighs before she went to the main bedroom.
After opening the door, Adhara saw Rex’s parents inside,
“Adhara? Is there something wrong honey? Do you want me to cook for you again?”, Mrs. Greene asks with a smile, she’s watching something on her phone.
Robert then also added, “Did Rex come back?”
Looking at the two who seem to be undisturbed, Adhara shakes her head since she thought Mrs. Greene and Robert can feel the aura they emitted before.
“Rex just called, and he will be back in a couple of days”, she said with a smile.
Hearing this, Mrs. Greene and Robert’s eyes lit up as they started asking about where Rex goes and Adhara answered all of their questions with a smile.

Rex got back from Wedron City at dawn,
Upon arriving back at the city, he senses that there’s a battle going on near the west wall of the city but Rex is not bothered when he senses the aura from the battle.
‘It’s only around third and fourth rank, is it a wandering group of Supernatural?’, he thought.
But even though it’s only low-rank Supernatural, Rex decided to check it out as he signals for Delta to go to the battlefield.
It didn’t take long for Rex to arrive at the west wall,
On the top of the wall lies a couple of city guard that is watching the battle from above, they don’t seem to be on alert since they didn’t even point their gun at the Supernatural.
“Good morning, Sir!”, the city guards greeted when they saw Rex approaching.
Rex waves his hand nonchalantly before he looks down at the battle,
Just beside the city wall, Rex saw about two or three hundred Supernaturals fighting a couple of Awakened that he realized instantly upon a glance.
They are Dray, Evelyn, and Seve.
The three of them are fending off the Supernaturals easily since their rank outclassed the Supernaturals by more than one major realm, it surprises Rex that they didn’t take care of this faster.
The Supernaturals they are fighting consist of Centaurs blended with a Magnum Goblin.
Rex knows of these Supernaturals since they popped on the frontline of the battlefield a couple of times, they belong to the lower rank Supernaturals with koala-level intelligence.
Centaurs are half man half horse Supernatural, while Magnum Goblin is an oversized Goblin.
But while watching the three of them fight,
Rex noticed something when he look at Evelyn and Dray, ‘They’re both are training their reflex, both of them are quite diligent’, he thought.
Since the flaws they had was pointed out by Rex earlier,
Both of them wanted to train themselves to get rid of these bad habits they have, and they’re training themselves by fighting these centaurs.
Evelyn deliberately lets the centaurs axes be very close to hitting her,
The axes are terrifyingly close to hitting her before she dodged them, she’s doing this to train herself to not close her eyes even though an attack is very close to hitting her.
While Dray on the other hand is restraining himself,
Dray tries to predict the centaurs’ and magnum goblin movements as they all attack him from all sides, and he counters them by punching and kicking them to knock them back.
He didn’t even use his sword which shows that he’s holding back,
It’s clear that he’s trying to pay attention to all of the enemy’s body movements, he’s also correcting the flaws that Rex points out earlier.
“I’ll leave them be then”, Rex mutters but then suddenly,
