Rex looks at the surroundings as the mutated gorillas surround them, they are filled with hostility as the bigger ones puffed out their chest while glaring at Rex and the others.
While the smaller ones are hanging on the silk cotton tree’s branches making weird noises.
Gistella is already readying her spells in case the gorillas wanted to test them, she’s already in her battle mode and so do Evelyn and Dray who already unsheathed their swords.
But Rex is calm while looking at the gorillas,
‘The strongest ones are an early sixth rank, it’s nothing much’, Rex thought.

One of the mutated gorillas, the biggest one pounds its chest intimidatingly as it roars angrily showing that it’s the leader of this pack of mutated gorillas.
Its body burns with fire brighter as it kept pounding its chest,
Looking at this, Rex smiles as he glances at Delta.
Just from the meaningful look on Rex’s face, Delta smirks exposing her fangs as she looks at the biggest mutated gorillas menacingly before she suddenly opens her mouth.
ROAR!
Delta’s roar was louder that make the heart trembles,
It’s very deafening and domineering as her roar engulfs the leader of the mutated gorillas.
She bares her sharp fangs and even exposes her white lightning while glaring at the mutated gorillas, the powerful roar and the aura she emitted are very domineering.
Hearing this, the biggest mutated gorilla went silent immediately.
Just from Delta’s aura alone, it can feel that Delta is way more powerful than itself, and with just that one display the biggest mutated gorilla roar meekly before it leaves followed by the others.
“You don’t need to be that loud”, Rex mutters as he shakes his head.
Delta can only growl lightly before Dray said, “I really envy you for being a Zeragon, it’s freaking cool to have a mount like this gorgeous creature right here”
“You should get one”, Rex replied nonchalantly as he looks to his right.
But this makes Dray slightly looks at him in annoyance, “You said it like it’s easy…”
Rex told the others to wait here for a bit as he wanted to get the Fire Tongue Fruit to lure the Fire Serpent Spirit, he came back not long after with red fruit in his hand.
The fruit is about the same size as an eggplant but it curves like red pepper,
It’s a pretty high rank mutated fruit, it’s in the sixth rank and has a hint of spirit energy in it.
Both Evelyn and Dray watched from the side as Rex approaches the cotton silk tree, then they saw a slight change in the surroundings as they can feel a hint of spirit energy coming from the tree which started to raise the temperature of the surroundings.
“I know you want it, so why don’t you just come out?”, Rex mutters lightly.
Hearing this, the spirit energy becomes even more intense before an astral red serpent materializes wrapping its body on the tree while hissing at Rex.
It surprises Dray so much just from the spirit energy emitted by the red serpent spirit.
The fire spirit’s body can even wrap the entire cotton silk tree which even surprises Rex, its body is covered with thick red scales and the snake’s spine is poking out of its back blazing with fire.
Even the snake’s tongue is made by a bright fire, it hisses as the snake looks at the fruit.
Upon looking at the red serpent spirit, Rex finds that there are a couple of things different than the vision from the spirit tree that he saw before.
This snake’s skin is not molten like before, and its aura is not as strong.
But one thing that catches Rex off guard is the size of the spirit which is enormous,
The fact that the spirit got smaller since it loses a fight against the wind deer spirit and still has this enormous size shows that the previous original body is humongous.
“It’s quite weak though, maybe that’s why I need to bring it back to the tree”, Rex mumbles.
Rex’s mumbles were light but Dray heard the first part which makes his eyes dart to Rex in shock, he then looks back at the fire serpent spirit and thought to himself, ‘This is weak?’
If Dray knows that this fire serpent spirit should be stronger then he might just pass out.
Only Evelyn seems to only surprise a bit, her spirit just like Devo said is at least around the four thousand years mark and the fire serpent spirit’s power got weakened since its loss.
The fire serpent spirit’s energy is at least half the original.
‘System, How do I trap this spirit into the Spirit Soulstone?’, Rex asks.
<Taming the spirit and making the spirit agree to get inside Soulstone is the best way, but if the user can get it weak enough it can be forced to be put in the soulstone>
Reading this, Rex then thought, ‘Adhara was the one who was supposed to tame this’
‘I’ll just weaken this spirit and bring it to Adhara, she should be able to tame this herself’, Rex thought before he glance at the fire serpent spirit who is eyeing him curiously.
The others are looking at Rex’s back,
Dray and Evelyn are the most curious about how Rex will capture the spirit, but then suddenly,

Rex’s body suddenly exploded with black lightning as Devo materializes on his back, Devo’s pressuring presence is still surreal for Evelyn and Dray who have already seen Devo a couple of times blasting both of them a couple of steps back.
Even Devo’s energy shockwave makes the fire serpent spirit’s astral body fainter,
It’s almost as if Devo’s energy shockwave alone almost dematerializes the fire serpent spirit from the material world, that just shows how powerful Devo really is.
After exposing Devo to the fire serpent spirit,
Rex then leaped towards it and takes out the Spirit Soulstone from the inventory, he touches the fire serpent’s spirit body using spirit energy before the Spirit Soulstone absorb the fire serpent.
Roar!
The fire serpent wails but it can’t do anything under Devo’s pressure,
It didn’t take long before the fire serpent spirit got engulfed completely by the Spirit Soulstone, even the cotton silk tree got sucked out of its fire mana as the fruits withered from their red color.
Even the red colors on the surroundings got sucked alongside the fire serpent spirit,
What once a beautiful scenery that even Rex finds pleasing becomes dark and withered in a blink of an eye, the night engulfs the place again with darkness.
Rex puts the Spirit Soulstone into the inventory as he turns to his back,
Dray and Evelyn are looking at him with a surprised expression as Rex looks to just absorbed the spirit easily, they didn’t see the Spirit Soulstone from the back.
“Is that it? We’re going to go back after this?”, Dray asks.
Hearing this, Rex shrugs his shoulders, “Yep that’s it, I just want to get this spirit for Adhara to assimilate with. She’s stuck at the fifth rank for too long now”
“I told you that it will not take long”, he added while shrugging his shoulders.
Evelyn looks at Dray wryly as she too a bit disappointed from walking all the way here without anything happening, even the mutated gorillas before got shrugged off easily.
But then she frown when Rex sat under the withered cotton silk tree,
“If we’re done here, let’s go back”, Evelyn said.
Her movement then stops when she saw Rex is sitting under the withered silk-cotton tree, she was confused as to why Rex is sitting when they’re supposed to get back.
Dray is also confused, “Aren’t we going back?”
Delta also approaches Rex before she lies beside Rex while whimpering lightly as Rex strokes her head gently, and this makes Evelyn and Dray even more confused, “I wanted to say that we can go back right now, but there’s a slight problem with that”
Growl!
Roar!
Out of the darkness of the night, the sound of footsteps approaching can be heard.
The growls and roars coming from the thing that is approaching them are starting to get closer, it makes Evelyn and Dray frown as they can feel an ominous feeling from the darkness.
Rex gives Gistella a look before she went to Rex’s side,
“You see, the roar Delta did before is very loud…”, Rex mutters.
He then looks at Evelyn and Dray before he said, “I think there’s a Supernatural race that really likes to hunt mutated animals, preferably predator mutated animals. They have quite low intelligence so they didn’t classify as a high-rank Supernatural but they’re quite there”
Thud!
About six pairs of red eyes suddenly appear from the darkness of the night,
The red eyes are stalking Rex and the others as they emit killing intent, the scene makes Dray and Evelyn’s skin crawl as they hold the hilt of their swords tighter.
One of the pair of red eyes comes out of the darkness exposing its hulking figure,
Evelyn and Dray slowly raise their gazes to meet with the hulking figure that is at least three times their height, its arms are very long, and have a black furry muscular body that blended with the night perfectly as if it has a camouflage ability.
Upon looking at this, even Rex quirked up a smile in delight.
“Oh! You guys are in luck, I haven’t even met this Supernatural! They’re quite rare”, Rex said excitedly as he looks at the hulking figure.
Hearing this doesn’t make Evelyn and Dray excited at all,
But one of the reasons is that the hulking figure in front of them is in the sixth rank realm,
The thick tails and furs almost make this Supernatural often mistaken as a Werewolf, but its huge frame and hideous face with oversized fangs make them look similar to an Ogre instead.
Rex has met one before in the swamp beside Zrolis City.
Although the Supernatural in front of them right now is quite different from the one that Rex met, aside from its power this one also has black steel-like skin that almost looks like its skin is covered with armor.
But this is its actual skin, a very hard and sturdy skin.

The system’s description makes Rex smile as he looks at both Dray and Evelyn, ‘This is going to be good for their training’, he thought.
While leaning on the withered tree calmly, Rex then said, “Fend them off”
“If I were to give you guys a hint on fighting this Supernatural, I’m going to say that you need to work together because a powerful spell alone will not make you defeat that guy”, he added.
Hearing this, Evelyn frowns, “Isn’t fighting this many a little bit too much?”
“You’re asking many questions Evelyn”, Rex replied with an amused smile.
This made Evelyn grit her teeth as she turns her head away, “Are you nervous since this is the Supernatural territory? but you begged me to bring you earlier”, Rex said teasingly.
Since this is the first time Evelyn steps into the Supernatural territory,
Anyone will be very nervous since this is the territory of humanity’s biggest enemy, and anything could happen here which probably makes her nervous like this.
“But still, I don’t think we can handle this”, Dray added from the side.
Just from a glance, he recognizes that the Nightmare Grendel is very terrifying,
By just standing there, the Nightmare Grendel emits a terrorizing battle intent which shows that this Nightmare Grendel is adapted to fighting physically unlike the Undead which relies mostly on spells.
Hearing this, Rex smiles, “I’m going to teach you guys a lesson”
“Lesson one in the Supernatural territory, getting surrounded is a common occurrence so defeat them without my help. You’ll have to learn to squeeze through this situation kind of situation if you want to become stronger”, Rex said cheekily.
Dray was about to say something more but then suddenly,

The nightmare Grendel already dashes towards them with bloodlust, this caught Dray off guard as the other Grendels also waste no time and follows after the nightmare Grendel.
Evelyn clashed with the nightmare Grendel before she backflipped,
Just from their clash alone, she can’t fight the nightmare Grendel head-on as its momentum and bloodlust are much stronger than hers, her sword then burns with fire as she slashes down.
“Blazing Destroyer!”

A beautiful dark red fire arc was created following Evelyn’s sword’s trajectory, but when her sword connected with the nightmare Grendel,
Clang!
The sword vibrates as it hits the nightmare Grendels’ hard skin,
‘What the?! It’s freaking hard!’, Evelyn exclaimed in her head, the Grendel then punch with its long arms sending Evelyn crashing away and landing beside Rex.
Looking at her, Rex then said, “Do you need another hint?”
“Shut up and just watch”, Evelyn replied irritatedly as she dashes back into the battle.
Dray and Evelyn were locked in the fight with the Grendels as Rex watches from the side with Gistella and Delta, they’re enjoying the show while Gistella is stressing out.
She fears that one of them got injured and Rex will blame her,
Imbuing his entire body with wind mana, Dray fends off the other Grendels that are attacking from all angles relentlessly like a united hunting pack.
The Grendels proof that they have very high chemistry with each other,
Their reach is even further than the reach of Dray’s sword, and their black fur that blended with the darkness of the night makes it hard for Dray to fight them.
It’s a complete disadvantage fighting the Grendels at the night,
Because of their weirdly fast long arms, the Grendels can attack Dray but he can’t counter attacked back since they’re just not on his sword reach.
Amongst them also lies two early sixth rank, so it’s not that easy for him.
Some of the Grendels’ attacks manage to reach Dray, their claws scratch Dray’s cheek, and other parts of his body as blood flows out.
While Dray is keeping the other Grendels at bay,
One of the Grendels is also attacking Evelyn alongside the nightmare Grendel which puts her in defense, it’s not looking good for them.
“Evelyn! We can’t win if we’re on the defensive!”, Dray shouted while defending himself.
Hearing this, Evelyn then glance at the weaker Grendels before she shouted, “Let’s aim for the weaker ones first, leave the strongest for the last!”
After shouting that, Evelyn and Dray started changing their battleplans.
Knowing that even Rex gave them a hint that the stronger Grendel needs to be fought two on one to win, they decided to ignore the strongest Grendel and focus on the weaker ones.
Both of them are faster than the nightmare Grendel, so it’s doable.
Just from the changes alone, they manage to take down the weaker Grendels.
“They’re doing quite good actually, they might really take down the nightmare Grendel”, Rex thought as he watch the fight, but he frowns when he spotted something.
Slash!
Evelyn and Dray dash past each other as they dealt the Grendels on their backs,
Their sword stabs the Grendel right on their heart before each of their swords blasted them with fire and wind respectively, they manage to take down the last weaker Grendels.
Only three Grendels are left,
Two of them are sixth rank Grendels while the last one is the Nightmare Grendel.
Swish!
Blood splattered to the ground as they swings their swords,
They got hit a couple of times by the weaker Grendels resulting in a few light injuries, but they manage to take them down leaving the three Grendels for the last.
Grrr….!
A low baritone growls can be heard escaping the nightmare Grendels’ mouth,
It looks around and finds the other Grendels are taken down by Evelyn and Dray, the bloodlust in its eyes increases as the nightmare Grendel got pissed.
With a swift movement of theirs,
Dray and Evelyn dash towards the nightmare Grendel and slash it with their swords imbued with mana, but both of their attacks got stopped simultaneously.
The nightmare Grendel manages to catch both of their swords easily,
It then cracked a huge nasty grin as Evelyn and Dray widen their eyes in shock,
Out of nowhere, the Nightmare Grendel’s aura becomes violent as the killing intent coming from it mounted even more making Dray and Evelyns’ hearts beat faster.
The both of them felt a cold chill grasping their hearts as their senses scream danger,
“It finally decided to get serious, let’s see what the two of them fair against this”, Rex mumbles as he saw the nightmare Grendel’s aura becomes even more powerful.
