“WAKE UP! WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DREAMING ABOUT!”, Rex shouted as he can’t help but picture what Evelyn is dreaming of right now, even his face is flushed because of this.
Hearing the sudden shout, Gistella opens her eyes abruptly.

The white energy glows in her hands as she looks around warily, Rex’s shout surprises her so much that she even went into his battle mode.
Seeing Rex is up sitting on the bed, Gistella lowers her hands, “Master?”
“It’s fine, you don’t have to be so alert here. Go back to sleep”, Rex said as he smile wryly, he then looks down and saw that Evelyn didn’t even budge in her sleep.
It’s like her body subconsciously doesn’t want the dream to end,
After rubbing his eyes a couple of times frustratedly, Rex moved Evelyn’s arms that are hugging him before he went to the bathroom to freshen up and came out of the bathroom
Rex saw that Gistella went back to sleep just like he commanded,
‘For fuck sake Evelyn, you’re giving me a hard time right now’, Rex thought as he rubs his flushed face roughly, his eyes then landed on Evelyn who is still sleeping.
Last night’s event where his body shuts down makes him look at Evelyn in thought,
Although he’s very tired from fighting non-stop yesterday, it shouldn’t be to the point that his body shuts down in front of Evelyn like that, ‘Did I subconsciously lower my guard around her?’
‘Well she does know about my secret, maybe that’s why’, he thought.
Rex then left the room and went straight down to have breakfast, he went to the restaurant section of the hotel before he found a buffet there.
Upon looking at the buffet, Rex frowns as it’s more than he expected.
“Excuse me, but aren’t the city low on food?”, Rex asks one of the hotel staff there.
Hearing this, the hotel staff smiled politely as she replied, “The citizens have enough food to last them one more week, it’s okay to provide this much for those of you who helped the city”
Rex nodded his head before he sigh, ‘If that’s the case…’
A moment later,
Rex took a hefty bunch of the food as he started to devour them to fill his empty stomach, he was not eating as much as he used to eat because of the city’s condition.
Although the staff already gives a green light, he still restrains himself.
But it’s a solid three people’s portion,
While he’s eating the food in silence while watching the view of the city on his right,
Liliya, Velten and Dray enter the restaurant area followed by the other members of their teams as they too wanted to have breakfast, the three of them then saw Rex already sitting alone in the restaurant and decided to approach him.
“Rex! You’re here already?”, Liliya asks as she takes a seat beside Rex.
Seeing Liliya suddenly sitting beside him, Rex then replied, “I just got here, the buffet here is quite good and you guys don’t have to worry about the city’s ration. The city still has enough food for a week and the UWO’s supply will arrive in a few days”
“Oh really? Then I’ll try not to restrain myself”, Velten added from the side.
The four of them started eating but Rex has already finished his, now he’s checking the system’s map that pinpoint the location of the fire serpent spirit for Adhara.
‘It’ll take at least half a day to reach there with Delta’s speed’, Rex thought.
Although the place of the fire serpent spirit is in the Vampire territory, it’s not deep into their territory as it’s still close to the Great Barricade just like the Lightless Marsh he visit before.
But he still needs to cross the Great Barricade, and he will certainly avoid the stronghold.
Since the Werewolf reinforcement is supposed to arrive here last night, the main reinforcement consisting of 10,000 Supernaturals and 3 Alphas should already arrive at the stronghold.
They undoubtedly come there to reinforce the stronghold in response to the Cessation Knight,
While Rex is thinking about the stronghold, he suddenly remembers about Raul as he glances to the city’s view in thought, ‘They should’ve already come back, let’s check how did the ambush go’
“Have Gerrard’s team come back yet?”, Rex asks opening a conversation.
Liliya then glance at Rex before she replied, “I don’t know, but Fakhir hasn’t come back yet so they must be still fighting against the other Undead company”
“They should finish around mid-day”, Rex replied nonchalantly.
But then Liliya suddenly asks from the side, “What are you going to do with the captured Undead Rex? We waited for you to see if you have something in mind”
“Personally, giving them to the leader of the city will be an option since they might have some questions and these Undeads can still provide some information for them”, she added.
She just finished eating as she wipes her mouth with a tablecloth,
Hearing this, Rex glanced at her with a frown, “Captured Undead? What do you mean?”
“The chained Undead that we’re supposed to kill while trying to anger the Undead, we didn’t manage to kill them all since you took care of the Enchanter quicker than expected. Now they’re gathered at a warehouse near the hotel”, Liliya explained.
Rex widen his eyes as he forgot about those Undead,
He can just kill them all for exp but he suddenly remembered something, “I’ll tend to them later, just make sure someone is watching over them. Not that they can do anything though”
With the death energy cleansed from their bodies, these Undeads are basically powerless.
They can’t use death energy anymore to conjure any kind of spell or enhancement, and now they’re basically slightly stronger beings than normal humans.
Liliya nodded her head as Dray suddenly said, “I’m going to take a drink”
Dray gets up from his seat before he walks over to the drink section, there’s a weird aura around him that Rex senses which makes him confused.
“What’s wrong with him?”, Rex asks.
Velten then sighs upon hearing this before he explains, “It’s about the Rusalka you killed before, he still thinks that you’re being too much to the Rusalka who just wanted to enter heaven”
Hearing this, Rex squints his eyes as he looks at Dray’s back.
“Is that so? If that’s the case, after everyone is up tell them to gather at the entrance of the city”, Rex said before he stands up from his seat and went to the bar section.
Looking at this, Velten and Liliya were surprised to see Rex sitting on the bar.
Rex didn’t even say anything to them as he suddenly stands up and heads to the bar section, and this makes Velten and Liliya look at each other before they sigh.
“He must have a lot of things in his mind”, Liliya mumbles.
Velten also nodded his head as he added, “Just leave him be, it’s his responsibility as the leader to keep his strong front as we do to our team members”
The both of them saw Rex order a glass as he chugged it down in one go,
Both of them relate to what Rex is feeling right now, they even started to admire Rex more since turns out he’s still a normal human just like the rest of them.
Unknown to them, Rex does have things in his mind but not like what they think of.
“Give me the strongest one”, Rex said to the bartender.
Hearing this, the bartender gives Rex a glass before he chugged it in one go as he asks for another one, ‘Fuck I can’t calm down, I might have to avoid Evelyn for a moment’, Rex thought.
Even after eating to his stomach content, his mind can’t stop thinking about Evelyn.
She has really done it this time as her sleep-talking makes Rex’s mind go wild, he can’t stop picturing what Evelyn is dreaming in her sleep for her to talk like that.
‘It’s not the time to think about that, get it together’, Rex thought shaking his head.
There are more pressuring matters that he needs to do and he didn’t have the luxury to get distracted like this, Evelyn is just too dangerous to be left beside him.
‘I need to finish the things here fast and go back to Adhara’, Rex thought as he chugged another glass.
After drinking for a moment feeling a little tipsy,
Rex went out of the hotel and headed to Raul’s office before, he was going to check whether last night’s raid is successful or not.
The city’s folk can still be seen repairing the city’s wall,
All of them work together repairing the city wall lest they got attacked again by the Supernaturals, it’s refreshing to see the people here still brimming with hope.
Rex walks through the street before he suddenly saw a mother and daughter pair,
The both of them are holding flowers in their hands as they walk in a direction, Rex then also saw a couple more people bringing flowers as they too headed in the same direction.
Feeling curious, Rex went and follows them.
After following them for a couple of minutes, he saw many people gathered there.
The place is crowded with the city’s people, and upon closer inspection turns out the place is a cemetery for the fallen Awakened, black hands, and even the military who died protecting the city from the Supernatural siege before Rex and the descendants came here.
‘No wonder they’re really trying their best’, Rex thought with a sigh.
He’s currently in the back part of the city and turns out the back part of the city is dedicated to becoming a cemetery for these people, just from a glance Rex can see thousands of tombs.
Seeing that many powerful people died protecting their city,
It’ll be heartbreaking if the city people lost hope, they will disrespect the deceased one if they were to do that which brings them to keep trying to help whatever they can.
After checking the cemetery, Rex head to Raul’s office.
Upon nearing Raul’s office, Rex was surprised to find that the Awakened and the black hands there seems to be celebrating as they all had smiles on their faces.
The guards escorting Rex last night are standing by the entrance,
Seeing Rex walking towards the office, the guard’s eyes lit up as he immediately approach Rex with a light jog and a brimming with happiness expression, “Sir!”
“Why’s everyone looks happy this early in the morning?”, Rex asks curiously.
Although he already guessed from their expression, Rex gave them the joy of telling him the good news that should seal Eqosa City’s deal from Supernatural siege.
With an immense amount of excitement, the guard then said, “I’ve had great news!”
“Sir Raul with the people he leads made a move last night and they manage to fend off the Werewolves’ reinforcement! It’s a miracle! The city is saved!”, the guard exclaimed excitedly.
Hearing this, Rex can’t help but also smile.
Rex then said, “That’s great news! Then bring me to Raul”
“Follow me, sir! Sir Raul is already anticipating you inside his office”, the guard replied.
After following the guard as they made his way into the office, Rex enters back Raul’s office where he saw Raul spreading his arms to the side with a wide smile.
“The miracle of the city! Come sit down”, Raul said signaling for Rex to sit in front of him.
Raul’s change in demeanor shows clearly that he’s in a great mood,
Rex sits down in front of Raul as he asks with a wide grin, “I heard last night’s raid went smoothly, I assumed that you exploited the information I gave well?”
Hearing this, Raul then replied, “Your information was accurate, they didn’t saw it coming”
Back to last night when Rex told Raul about the secret route,
Raul is worried that although they know about the secret route where the reinforcement will come from, the Alphas’ senses are too sensitive that they might not be able to ambush them.
It’s clear that it’s unlikely to catch them by surprise,
The Alpha has a very keen sense of danger that will definitely sense them before going out of the secret route, they will collide with an eighth rank Alpha then which will be risky.
But Rex notices something when he visits the secret route himself,
When the secret route closed on Rex and Gistella as they checked on the dark secret route, Rex noticed that he can’t sense Delta who doesn’t come with them, and stood by the riverside.
He didn’t put much thought into it at first,
But when Raul told him about his concern about the Alpha senses, Rex remembered this little detail and told Raul to just gather the black hand and Awakened to ambush the Werewolves’ reinforcement.
Since even he, a prince Werewolf can’t sense pass through the portal formation.
It’s unlikely for the Alpha’s senses to pass through the portal formation either, except if the Alpha has a natural gift of sense like Kyran then the Alpha might sense the ambush.
Judging from the success of the ambush, it seems the Alpha doesn’t have this gift.
Of course, at first, Raul was a bit skeptical about Rex’s suggestion,
After convincing Raul for a bit and showing how serious Rex is, Raul finally takes a huge risk by following Rex’s suggestion but it turns out to be a huge success!

Raul points at a long and big gun on the side of the room,
Upon looking at the gun that even its length alone almost reaches the ceiling, Rex was quite surprised as it seems to be a modified sniper rifle with high penetration power.
“That sniper rifle the black hands brought made specifically to penetrate Supernatural’s thick skin, it manage to injure the Alpha”
“We rain silver bullet on them, and thanks to the narrow secret route it’s very effective. We chased them down the secret route while keep shooting at them, the Awakened also made chase for them and before we know it the reinforcement already retreated completely”
Hearing this, Rex nodded his head as he too finds the situation is in favor of them.
Although the Alpha is an eighth rank Supernatural that’s very terrifying, the secret route that is only about thirty people wide is definitely cramped for their numbers.
Even if Rex was put in the Alpha’s shoes, he definitely can’t evade the rain of silver bullets.
That didn’t exclude the eight rank Alpha, if it got hit by a silver bullet then its battle power will be decreased heavily just like Rex when he got shot by the Green Messenger.
“Did that Alpha dies?”, Rex asks.
Raul shakes his head, “Unfortunately no, the Alpha is still an eighth rank Supernatural. But still, now that the reinforcement got kicked out Eqosa City will have time to breathe”
A moment later,
“Where are we going Rex?”, Evelyn asks from the side.
The descendants and the black hands are already gathered at the front of the city’s gate, they’re all are already wearing their armors again just like before.
Looking at Evelyn, Rex averted his gaze from her making Evelyn looks at him in confusion.
Rex then looks at Velten and Liliya which makes them raise their eyebrows before he glances at Dray, “The Supernatural is gone, all that is left are the ones taken care of by Gerrard”
“It’s almost over…”
“Now that we’re almost done here, we’re going to make a statement for the Supernatural that might try to take Eqosa City again in the future. They will not stop until the stronghold is taken care of, I’m sure of it”
Hearing this, the others look at Rex in confusion.
Seve then asks from the side curiously, “How are we going to do that?”
“Oh, the Undead has given me some ideas. Just follow me and you’ll know…”
