Evelyn is patting Kevin's back as he bends over feeling his stomach grumble, she was worried that Kevin will vomit so she takes the helmet off of Kevin.
While Rex on the side looks around warily,
He already experienced using a teleportation formation before, and thankfully just one experience is enough to make Rex get used to turning into energy.
But the other descendants are not though as they become like Kevin.
Almost half of them feel unwell because of the teleportation, even Evelyn and Dray although their strong face Rex can see that they too are feeling it.
"Have you done this before?", Dray asks from the side.
Hearing this, Rex nodded his head while looking around full alert, "Just once", he said.
"Just one? Then how can you be okay? It's my eleventh time and I'm still not used to the feeling as well as you did", Dray said with a confused expression.
Rex is also confused, 'Is it because of the Ether Blink Spell? Maybe it's because of that'
While the descendants started to recover from the teleportation, Dray looks to his left before he said, "We should go west from here right?"
"Keep your guard up, we're surrounded", Rex mutters lightly.
Right after they got teleported here, Rex's Supernatural Sense has been ringing ever since and it's coming from all directions.
'Where are they? I can't find them', Rex thought in confusion.
Just like when Rex met with the Shapeshifter back in Faraday University, his Supernatural Sense also rang, and because of that Rex trusted this sense of his.
One of the descendants heard what Rex said before he touches the ground,
"Great Earth Magic, Land Detection"

Brown mana expanded in a circle from where the ground the guy touches, it spread to the surroundings as the spell scan every nook or corner of the place.
After scanning the place, the guy then said, "I didn't pick up any Supernatural"
"All I detect is survivors of the city, they're hiding in their houses. We should go help them", the guy suggested as he strode to one of the houses.
Seeing this, Rex then called him back, "Stop! Don't move recklessly"
"I told you that there's no Supernatural here, I already scan the entire city with my spell", the guy said stubbornly, he kicks the door of a house down and enters the house.
Rex glance to his right and find Gerrard is also frowning,
Having no other choice, Rex approaches the house that the guy went into.
Not long after when Rex was about to enter the house, the guy walks out while holding a kid with his hand that seems to not be older than eight.
"See? We need to help them first before doing our mission", the guy said.
Upon seeing the young girl that is crying profusely while covering her face, Rex's eyes glow before his eyes widen, "GET AWAY FROM HER!"
"Huh?", the guy looks at Rex in confusion when suddenly,
STAB!
The guy looks down and finds the little girl that he thought was human turns out to be an Undead, her hollow eyes are looking directly at the guy as her hands turn into pointy bones and stabbed the guy right on his leg.
"Arrghh! What the fuck?!", the guy shouted after feeling his leg is stabbed.
Without wasting any more seconds, Rex turns into a streak of lightning unscathed his silver sword and cut the little girl's head off cleanly.
SHING!!

Rex killed the Undead swiftly before the other descendants can even react, but when he looks to his side, he finds Gerrard is already right beside him.
He's holding a mace tightly upon seeing the little girl turns out to be Undead.
'That was a fast reflex, even though he realized it after this guy gets stabbed, he almost arrives faster than me who realize the little girl is an Undead before the guy gets stabbed', Rex thought.
After killing the Undead, the Water Elementalist healed the guy's leg.
Rex is looking at the dead undead girl as he sheathed his silver sword back, it was brief but Rex finds her stats are weird, 'Its stats, is that stats of a peak fourth rank?', he thought in confusion.
Although Rex saw it briefly, he notice something.
The stats of the Undead Rex just killed are stats of a fifth rank Supernatural, it's not stats of a fourth rank Supernatural should have.
'It's the Death Energy, they become so strong', Rex thought with a frown.
Rex then glance at the guy that got stabbed and saw a hole in his leg armor, 'A fourth rank did that? I don't think so, that is a near sixth rank quality armor'
"Gather around! We're going to split into two teams", Gerrard shouted.
Hearing this, Rex also approaches him as the other descendants gather in front of them.
"Remember our deal, the 2nd to 8th rank families will be in my team. You can choose from any family aside from that, we'll split it in half", Gerrard said.
But Rex intervenes, "I have no problem but Dray will be with me"
Gerrard's expression contorted for a brief moment but Rex didn't catch this, he then smiles, "Of course, I know you're close with the Burton Family so I'm okay giving him up for you"
"What about me!", Valery suddenly shouted.
The others also started to complain since they don't want to fight the seventh rank Undead, and Gerrard's reputation is nothing but bad news. At least that is what Dray explained before.
Nging!!
Gerrard's eyes suddenly glow with a brilliant light as he glances at the descendants sharply.
This one glance makes the descendants that ask for Rex to pick them becomes silent instantly, the brilliant light gives out a warmth but there's a weird feeling to it.
"Only the leaders have the right to say, all of you just need to follow our command"
"Or did you guys already forget about that?", Gerrard ask with a wide smile.
But this makes many bleak aura start to leak from the descendants, Rex can see almost all of them with an exception of a few fear Gerrard.
After discussing with Gerrard for a moment, the descendants are split into two teams.
Since the 2nd to 8th family with the exception of Dray was instantly put onto Gerrard's team, that leaves 17 families left to pick.
Out of the 17 families, 9 go to Rex while 8 go to Gerrard.
Amongst the 9 that Rex got from the 17 families, there are Vanessa, Maurice, and Seve.
This also includes Evelyn and Kevin of course,
Aside from Vanessa, the Rirgas Family has another daughter who is older than Vanessa.
Rex didn't know her but after scanning Vanessa's elder sister, he found that her name is Sabrina and she's also an Ice Elementalist like Vanessa but she's a mid-sixth rank.
'Ice Elementalist, I'll probably need them for support', Rex thought.
Maurice and Seve were picked intentionally by Rex since he already planned them for being in his team, while Vanessa and her sister on the other hand are not planned but Rex decided to pick both of them as support in his team.
"I know you'd pick me, I owe you one so thanks", Vanessa said gratefully.
Sabrina on Vanessa's side also smiles lightly, both of them have the same blonde hair and blue eyes but Sabrina is better looking out of the two since she's more mature.
At least from Rex's perspective of course,
Both sisters smile while thanking Rex for saving them from Gerrard.
But all they received was a cold look from Rex that makes the smile on both of their faces freeze, they were not expecting to get this kind of reaction from Rex.
With his cold expression, Rex then said, "I didn't pick you for you"
"You both are an Ice Elementalist, so it'll be useful for my team", he added shattering the smiles on Vanessa's face since she didn't expect this kind of answer.
After saying that, Rex leans closer to Vanessa's ears, "I know you told Hans about me"
"W-What are you saying? They're just asking if I met you back then, and I answer them honestly since you did nothing wrong", she defended herself.
But Rex didn't answer as he looks at her coldly and turns away.
"We're going to wait for the SCO, but we must locate the Undead companies first. Me and my team will head northwest", Gerrard approached Rex and said.
Hearing this, Rex nodded his head, "Then we'll go Southwest"
"My team will move after finishing the Undead here, there should be not much left aside from wanderers like that little girl Undead", he added.
Both of them nodded their heads before Gerrard lead his group to leave.
Rex then looks at his team before he puts his arms on his waist, 'System, Can you scan and count how many types of Awakened in this group?'

After getting the information to the system, Rex then looks at the descendants.
They all are looking at Rex waiting for his instructions, he then said, "Divide yourself based on your spells expert type, offensive, defensive, and support"
Hearing this, the descendants started to move.
They separate themselves into three groups based on what Rex said, in order to be effective in battle this much is a must since Rex needs to know what his team is composed of.
'6 Offensive, 5 Defensive, and 4 Support', Rex thought,
But while assessing his team, Rex frowns before he points at a guy wearing a blue hooded robe that is standing on the support team, "You there, Aren't you a Poison Elementalist?"
"Why are you there?", he added in confusion.
Poison Elementalists are known to be deadly in a fight with their wide range of offensive spells, all of their spells are mainly offensive since their main weapon is poison.
Hearing this, the hooded guy points at himself before he replies, "How do you know that?"
"Learning every descendant's element is basics, don't dodge the question. Why are you standing there?", Rex asks squinting his eyes.
But the hooded guy chuckles upon hearing this,
His expression turns contorted as he said, "Are you kidding me? You're going to make the offensive be in the middle while the defensive in front and the support on the back right?"
"You guys can be in front, I certainly won't", he added with a mocking smile.
Dray who is on the offensive part glared at the hooded guy before he said angrily, "Fordie! We need to work together if we want to finish the mission without casualties"
"Casualties? That's for the leaders to think about, I simply care for my only life", he replied.
The answers spark the anger inside of Dray as he strides towards Fordie, but Rex stops him and shakes his head, "He's an asshole, I'm going to teach him a lesson"
"Don't, I got a better idea", Rex whispers lightly.
Dray was confused at first but upon seeing Rex's wicked expression, he gulps and steps back.
Without caring for Fordie who is standing on the support side, Rex then said, "Alright, the support will stay here while the offensive will make a partner of two with the defensive and scout this whole city carefully"
Hearing this, the descendants nodded their heads.
After seeing Rex's display of insane reaction to save the guy that got attacked by an Undead before, many of them at least acknowledge him as a leader.
It feels safer at least to have a quick leader like Rex,
Rex then looks at a woman before he said, "You there, you stay here"
The woman was startled when Rex points at her, she then steps away from the already partnered offensive and defensive teams before they dashes to their respective directions.
Amongst the descendants in his team, this woman here is the weakest.
Not only she's a peak fourth rank Fire Elementalist, she also looks to be nervous judging from the cold sweat and fast-beating heart that Rex heard.
The team of defensive and offensive is off one person, so it's okay to let her stay here.
After instructing the others to stay here and keep their guard up, Rex approaches the dead Undead again before he notices something is off about her.
'Wait, this skin is still fresh', Rex thought with a frown.
From all of the experience fighting the Undead race or even during the field test in Ochyra University, Rex has never seen an Undead with its skin intact.
All of them should have decayed bodies and dangling organs.
Just like the Ghouls and Zombies, all undead should at least looks like that but the one in front of Rex almost looks like a regular human except for its hollow eyes.
Rex inspected the carcass before he found an extra bone sticking on the carcass' neck.
"What is this?", he mutters as he reached for the bone.
It looks like somekind of tail bone at a glance,
Rex is not a doctor but he's sure that the bones inside the human's neck is not like this.
There's even blood spurting while Rex is pulling the bone out, it looks and feels weird since Undead shouldn't have blood spurting out like this.
Clank!
Disgusting slimy cracking noise can be heard as Rex pull out the bone.
But Rex's eyes started to widen by the second as the thing that he pulls out reveals itself,
Craaeea!
Rex catches the thing that he just pulled out that was leaping towards his head, he catches the thing that looks like a round insect skeleton with a tail about 5 inches long.
The scent coming from this insect is awful making Rex frown,

284 points on Agility is an impossible thing for an early fifth rank Supernatural to have, it is almost as good as a peak fifth rank Supernatural.
The death energy is simply enhancing the Undead around here,
Rex even frowns when he saw that this creature has magical power, it's stated there in its intelligence which surprises Rex.
But he didn't fret about that since a Lich can use Ice spell,
So it makes sense for it to have some form of intelligence stat, just like this Baby Gebbo that is struggling to break free from Rex's grip.
"There's an Undead controlling this carcass?", Rex mutters lightly.
Crack!
Rex crushed the undead killing it instantly, an early fifth rank Supernatural is nothing to him even after getting enhanced by the Death Energy.

He stands back up before he suddenly widens his eyes, 'Baby Gebbo? I remember it'
'Isn't that the mind-controlling Undead? They are born from an Undead called Mother Gebbo, it should be around here feeding on corpses', Rex thought as he looks around.
But then, he realizes something.
'Doesn't that mean this little girl here is once human?', Rex thought as he slowly looks at the dead girl's corpse, his expression darkened upon realizing this.
The skin that is still intact on the dead girl's body hasn't even decayed, it's still fresh.
He didn't realize it himself, but his aura is leaking from his body.
The descendants that are behind him noticed this as they felt their chest heavy, they saw Rex's aura is leaking like a waterfall as he clenched his hand into a fist.
'Undead huh, Let's count them down', Rex thought, taking out his silver sword.
