Aaaaoouuuuu!!
After letting out a long mighty howl, the big Werewolf wanted to go back inside the hut when suddenly he was called by someone,
“Jarvald!”
The big Werewolf, Jarvald stops in its track and turns his body, “What is it Zegrath?”, the Werewolf that calls him looks young, it is not as big as other Werewolves.
Zegrath then asks impatiently, “When is our next raid? I want to kill humans!”, Zegrath’s eyes glow red with hatred, its body is trembling as its claw becomes longer.
“No need to hurry, the raid will begin shortly when I tell so”, Jarvald said before he resumes his walk.
Zegrath didn’t take it anymore so he rebutted, “But Jarvald!”, before Zegrath can even finish, Jarvald grabs Zegrath’s neck abruptly and lift him up.
“Zegrath, remember your place. You are only an Omega, do your job and make others happy”, Jarvald said while growling in front of Zegrath’s face.
Zegrath lowers his gaze, Jarvald then lets go of him before Zegrath left.
In the morning,
Rex wakes up from his sleep early in the morning after hearing someone is banging the door,
BANG! BANG! BANG!
Without even asking who it is, Rex already knows that it is Rosie.
He looks at his watch and can’t help to become angrier, ‘This girl, This is Saturday for heaven’s sake!’
Rex opened the door and saw Rosie wearing neat clothes early in the morning looking as beautiful as ever, “What?!”, Rex said grumpily.
“Surprise! Happy Birthday!”, Rosie said excitedly, she then gives Rex a black box that looks classy and a brown handbag.
Rex looks at her in confusion, “It’s not my birthday”, he looks at his phone again and notices that it is really his birthday.
‘Oh yeah, In the military I never once celebrate my birthday. It’s so strict that I almost even forget my own birthday’, Rex thought.
His smile blossom warmly, “How do you know?”
Rosie wink sweetly, “Of course I know, that’s what girlfriend do!”
Hearing this, Rex can only shake his head.
Rex invites Rosie in, Rosie’s face blushed red but she eventually gets in with Rex.
Rex sits on a chair, he then opens the black box and saw a green stone inside. He cast confused looks at Rosie, “That is a rank four healing stone, it can instantly heal all of you injured”, she said while puffing her already big chest up.
“Wow, Thanks for this really”, Rex thanked, the stone can potentially save his life so it’s very valuable.
He then opened the brown handbag, opened the wrapping, and saw a black bracelet with a red stone decorating it. The bracelet is designed like the world serpent where a snake bites its tail, Rex thinks the design looks cool.
Rosie then said, “That is a bracelet that you must wear all the time, besides its cool-looking design it will also tell me your location”, she said with a smile on her face.
“Eh?”, Rex was speechless after hearing what she said, “Am I your pet?”, he said in annoyance.
“Well I’m forced, especially when you’re gone yesterday without even telling me”, Rosie said crossing her arms while pouting.
‘haha’, Rex laugh dryly, he then said, “I got stuff to do at Tom’s mansion”
Hearing this, Rosie knit her eyes, “Tom’s mansion? you mean Frostbrand?”
“Umm, Yes?”, Rex started to sweat under Rosie’s gaze.
“Tom is Laura’s brother, right? Are you sure you go there because of Tom?”, Rosie said suspiciously, she knows that Rex is not close to Tom.
Rex was put into a spot, he started brainstorming to find the right answer when suddenly he hears a slight knock from the door.
“Hmm? Who is it this early how annoying, wait here”, Rex said while thanking the person who is knocking on the door in his heart.
Rex opened the door and found Adhara standing in front of him, Adhara also brought some stuff in her hand.
“I saw on my phone that today is your birthday, so I brought you a gift”, she said shyly.
Hearing this, Rex was touched.
Unlike Rosie, Adhara looks more like a sweet girlfriend than her, ‘This is how a girlfriend should be’, Rex thought while nodding his head.
Rex immediately opens the gift and saw a black battle glove that emits an intense red hue, he was excited because the battle glove is exactly the style he wanted.
The battle glove is black in color, it only has an iron plate on the back of the hand and nothing else. It is the perfect glove to defend against bladed attacks.
“You like it?”, Asks Adhara.
Rex’s eyes seem to contain stars as he replied excitedly, “Yes!”
Adhara smile blossoms, “That glove is imbued by a rank four Fire Elementalist, it can add fire properties to your attack”
Rex tries it on and surprisingly it fits perfectly on his hand,
Adhara looks at Rex and said, “So did I did well?”
Hearing this Rex nodded his head furiously when suddenly, “Then can you choke me?”
Rex nodded his head furiously again and replied, “Yes!”, then suddenly he just realized what she was saying, Adhara tries to put on her cute face.
Rex gritted his teeth, ‘I can resist it! I can…’, his hand move automatically and landed on Adhara’s neck before he slightly squeeze it.
“Who is it, Rex? What take you so long?”, Rosie comes out from Rex’s back and holds her mouth in shock.
“REX! WHAT IS THIS!”, she screamed hysterically.
Rex snaps from his daze and looks at Rosie, “It’s not what you think!”
“Not what I think my ass!! You’re still choking her!”, Rosie screamed in horror, she can’t believe Rex played with Adhara behind her back.
The students around started to glance at them, Rosie is screaming like a madwoman.
“HOW DARE YOU CHEAT ON ME!”
“AM I NOT ENOUGH?”
“CHOKE ME INSTEAD!”
With that, Rex’s Saturday morning began.
“Rosie, you still mad?”, Rex asks tiredly, it’s already been twenty minutes and she’s still turning her head away unwilling to look at Rex.
The three of them are already on the way to the mall section, Rex decided that he will treat the girls to food.
They settle in a ramen restaurant, Adhara ordered the food and sits back down.
The tense atmosphere still fills the air, Adhara sent a mocking smile once in a while to Rosie which makes Rosie angrier at Rex.
Just as Rex wanted to talk to Rosie, a sirene was heard all over the school.
“Calling for all available Third and Fourth-year students, please gear up and gather at the south entrance. A rank-four threat has appeared in Gaver City, I repeat Calling for all available…”
Hearing this, Rex can’t help to ask, “Wait, the students can provide support to the attacked cities?”
Adhara replied, “Starting from Third Year, the students must heed to those calls”
“Oh yeah, I forgot that you join the university midway, let me explain some things to you. The First and Second-year students can only take tasks given by the school in their free time to get points, these points can be exchanged with things in the school treasury. When we enter third-year, we will then become a reinforcement for cities outside of Ratmawati city that is in need”, Rosie explained.
Rex was shocked, ‘How can I not know this, this is a great opportunity to raise my level!’
He then looks at Adhara and Rosie, “If that’s the case, Why did I never see you two take those tasks”
Adhara and Rosie look at each other and replied innocently,
“That’s tiring”
“Not in the mood”
Rex was speechless, ‘These two slackers, Adhara need to hunt with me! She can provide more Exp because of the Alpha’s benefit but unluckily she’s lazy, as for Rosie, I don’t care!’, he thought angrily.
The look of disappointment is written clearly on his face, “Where do we go to get the tasks?”, he asks.
“It’s on the first floor, there is clearly a place called the Task Hall. It’s always crowded with students there, so I suggest you look at the tasks online first before going there”, Adhara said plainly.
‘I need to go there! let’s start tomorrow, my level is stuck at 11 and that’s not good especially if the Werewolves know of my existence’, Rex swears in his heart.
The ramen came, the three of them enjoyed the meal when suddenly Rex saw a blonde girl enters the restaurant.
The girl’s blue eyes darted left and right, it then settles when seeing Rex.
Rex’s heart started to beat faster, he doesn’t know why but he becomes more nervous the closer the girl gets.
That girl is Laura,
Laura arrived at Rex’s table, the both of them stare at each other with intense eye contact.
“I don’t like this vibe”, Rosie commented from the sides.
Suddenly, Laura hugs Rex tightly as if she’s letting out all the pent-up emotions swelling inside of her.
Rex was shocked, he was at a loss but his hand wraps Laura’s body to calm her down.
Adhara and Rosie on the sides were also shocked and fell into a daze, but soon they both snap from their dazes, “GET OFF OF HIM!”
