Rex and Evelyn walk side by side while entering the banquet again,
With a different company than before, some of the people in here realized that Rex came back after leaving for an hour with Adhara.
Not just one of them saw this happen, but many of them.
After entering the room, Rex looks around as the glances of the people here meet his eyes but he didn't fret about any of their gazes too much.
He noticed that the people in here are fewer than when he left before,
'The meeting has already started huh, I wonder what the Golden Crest Families discuss in this meeting', Rex thought while looking around.
Rex then turns his head towards Evelyn,
Evelyn is looking around nervously as she bit her lips, Rex even notices that she's hiding a bit behind his arm as if she's avoiding someone.
"Which one?", Rex asks making Evelyn turns her head to him.
With a frown on her face, Evelyn then asks back, "Which one what?"
"Daniel Burton's son, Which one is he?", Rex added, he's slightly annoyed since the only thing he comes back with Evelyn is because she said that she knew of Daniel Burton's son.
Hearing this, Evelyn's eyes jolted wide, "Oh! His son, right..."
Rex looks at Evelyn in confusion as she seems to be distracted, she was looking around trying to find Daniel Burton's son before she suddenly nudge Rex's arm.
"Do you see that asshole of a pretty boy right there?", Evelyn asks while looking in a direction.
Following her eyes direction, Rex saw a guy that looks to be older than him wearing black fashion glasses with his tattoos poking out of his sleeves that somehow increases his masculinity.
The guy then also looks at Rex after feeling someone is looking at him.
'His sense is quite sharp for a human', Rex thought while keeping eye contact with the guy.
After Rex found the guy, Evelyn then added, "His name is Dray, that is Daniel's son. Known for his asshole behavior and upfront physical fighting style with fast foot-work"
"Is that some common thing to know of his asshole behavior?", Rex asks in confusion.
By Evelyn's tone in describing Dray, Rex found that there's a hint of anger in her tone that Rex can hear clearly from her voice.
Hearing this, Evelyn scoffs, "Just trust me when I say he's an asshole"
"You can just go talk to him, I'll wait right here until you're finished", she added.
Rex sigh while he shakes his head, it is clear to him that Evelyn has some history with this Dray.
'Well just from first impression, he really does look like an asshole', Rex thought after seeing that Dray is currently embracing two women on both of his sides by wrapping his arms around their necks.
After noticing that Rex is looking at him, Dray lets go of the two women.
With confident and powerful steps, Dray walks over through the crowd heading towards where Rex and Evelyn are standing.
Looking at this, Evelyn rolled her eyes seeing the grin on Dray's face.
The perfectly lined shiny white teeth of his were exposed as he grins widely, it's not a nasty grin but instead, it looks more of a teasing grin and it sure hell is not directed to Rex.
It's directed to Evelyn who is already folding her arms in front of her in annoyance.
"My beautiful princess, I'm hurt that you didn't come to me during your wonderful performance earlier", Dray said while spreading his arms wide.
Evelyn then replied with an acute smile, "Dray! I prayed that you die but it seems luck is on your side!"
"What are you saying? Of course, lady luck is on your side! You have the face and body as if you take all of the women's beauty and have it for yourself!", Dray replied with a sweet remark waving his hand trying to portray Evelyn's beauty.
But this makes Evelyn's expression turns disgusted by the second,
Then with one quick motion, Dray suddenly hugs Evelyn who instantly becomes uncomfortable.
The uncomfortable smile on Evelyn's face was evident as she tries to push Dray away.
Although there's Rex who is standing beside Evelyn, Dray ignores him as if Rex is nothing but the air that doesn't even exist in his eyes only to be ignored.
While trying to free herself, Evelyn stomped Rex's foot asking for help.

Rex was caught off guard but when he saw Evelyn's expression of help, he finally clears his throat and said, "Dray Burton, It's a pleasure to meet you"
"Can't you see I'm talking with my girl? Piss off!", Dray replied plainly.
His tone is calm and collected but his words are very sharp, he doesn't even look at Rex when he's talking and this puts Rex in a state of disbelief since even Daniel didn't have this kind of attitude, 'Calm down, he's Daniel's son', Rex thought.
Evelyn then suddenly shouted, "Who's your girl?! Definitely not me!"
"Baby, Are you still mad about the drink that I gave? It's purely to entertain you", Dray said.
Hearing this, Evelyn's mouth opened wide as she can't believe what Dray just said, "ENTERTAIN ME?! You asshole tries to drug me!", she shouted angrily.
A waiter holding a tray was walking past them as he heard Evelyn's shout,
Evelyn takes a glass from the tray before she splashes the drink with a flick of her hand, this came out of nowhere completely catching Rex and Dray off guard.
SPLASH!
The drink drenched Dray's blue formal tuxedo as Dray froze on his spot.
He even chuckle for a little bit since he didn't expect Evelyn to do this, he pats the part of his tuxedo that got splashed by the water as Evelyn left angrily.
All eyes are attracted to Dray as they saw Evelyn splash drinks on him,
Some of the descendants of the 25 Golden Crest even started chuckling upon seeing this, they find it funny to see Dray in this state which is a rare sight.
"Why the fuck are you all laughing?!", Dray shouted feeling embarrassed.
Upon hearing this, one woman that Rex finds pretty powerful for her age. Even stronger than Dray said, "That' what you get for being a player you prick!"
"Shut up! You're just mad that no guys wanted to get close to you!", Dray replied harshly.
His nasty remarks make the woman grit her teeth as her body glows with fire, the fire is blue in color and Rex even felt his Black Lightning slightly suppressed by the fire.
It seems the woman takes what Dray said personally,
'She's a peak sixth rank...', Rex thought in surprise.

A blue fiery spirit that takes the shape of a snake-like dragon with horns appears behind her, it was her assimilated spirit and it amplifies her aura by a couple of folds shattering the ground around her.
Even the tables got blown away by her aura alone, she's one of the strongest here.
Since the head of the families of the 25 Golden Crest is in a meeting, even the UWO representative like Sebrof and Vargas also join that meeting.
There's none to watch over the descendants to prevent something like this to happen.
But from the other descendants' reaction, it seems this kind of event is a normal occurrence.
After activating her blue fire, the woman's eyes burns blue as she glares at Dray while taking a sword from her side that she seems to hide under the table.
Just like her body, the sword emits blue fire as the runes engraved on it activate.
Dray who saw the woman's hostile intention also activated his element, the wind energy circles around his body, and unlike the regular greenish color, this wind is completely white.

"Weapons should be left outside! This is not fair!", Dray rebutted angrily.
His weapon is not with him right now, and he can only fight using his bare hands against a sword which puts him at a big disadvantage.
"I'm gonna rip that mouth of yours!", the woman shouted angrily without caring for Dray at all.
The blue fire is rampaging to the surroundings as the other descendants step back to create distance, they all seem excited to see the outcome of the fight.
While the situation is escalating, Evelyn suddenly came back to Rex's side.
Rex looks at her in confusion since she's currently smiling, she then said, "That is Valery the eldest daughter of the Safran Family, she really hates Dray since Dray rejected her a while back"
"You're smiling because?", Rex asks.
Hearing this, the smile on Evelyn's face went wider as she replied, "It was my intention to attract her attention to Dray, that guy had it coming"
"And the drug part? Is that true?", Rex asks again.
Rex heard that Evelyn mention something about Dray trying to drug her but it seems he failed, and this pummeled Rex's first impression of Dray lower if that was true.
With a straight expression, Evelyn then said, "Yes, he did try to drug me"
"Aren't you going to stop them? Dray will be in trouble without his weapon, and you can't spar with him if that were to happen", she added.
Rex rubs his chin while looking at the scene in front of him,
Valery's sword is already emitting powerful blue fire added with her spirit energy, it even started to vibrate and the runes are glowing brightly thanks to the power she puts into the sword.
While Dray on the other side is gritting his teeth helplessly,
The spirit behind him is a white tiger with golden eyes, it was evidently more powerful than Valery's spirit since the spirit energy coming from the tiger is more powerful.
But even with the superior spirit, he still doesn't have any weapon on him.
Aside from that, Valery is a peak sixth rank while Dray is on the brink of going to her realm.
Although he's on the brink of breaking through to Valery's realm, he's still a mid-sixth rank which is still weaker than Valery.

Hearing Devo suddenly comment on the fight, Rex then asks, 'I want to stop them, Do you have any way of doing that without using my raw strength too much?'
[I can just shut their spirit down, and you can just stop them head on]
'Wouldn't that show too much of my body's raw strength?', Rex asks again.
If he was about to do that, it'll be a little bit weird since he's just an early sixth rank and it will look unnatural for him to stop a peak sixth rank Awakened like Valery or even a mid-sixth rank like Dray.
But since he will be sparring anyway, he might as well show them his powers.
Then suddenly, [Are you retarded or something?], Devo said stopping Rex on his tracks.

The ground under her foot cracks as her eyes blaze with blue fire, "Mystic Fire Art! Driving Dragon!!", Valery chanted as she leaped forward with her sword pointing towards Dray.

Her blue spirit started coiling on her sword as she dashes towards Dray.
Without backing down, Dray also chanted his own move, "Great Spell! Disposition of Wind Technique"

"Zephyr Body!"
White wind energy covers Dray's body like a blanket as he prepares himself for Valery, the wind mana was starting to crystallize around Dray's body just like a barrier.
Anything that went past this barrier got immediately disintegrated,
"That's not enough, Dray can't block Valery with just that"
"It seems Valery will take this one, I don't even know what I'll do if I were h- Oh! He's changing his mind!"
The discussing descendants suddenly got surprised when Dray changed his stance.
Dray who just activated his defensive move changed his mind as the white wind mana concentrate on both of his fists, he has a crazed look on his face as he glare at Valery.

With a grip of Dray's hand, the white wind mana exploded with energy as he chanted, "Disposition of Wind Technique, Compact Strike!"

Dray leaped towards Valery as they both intend to attack each other head-on,
Powerful surges of energy were leaking out of their body as they put their all into this attack, especially Dray who has no weapon on him this time and he needs to give out more effort to match Valery's attack.
The descendants of the 25 Golden Crest held their breath waiting for the collision.
Both Valery and Dray also looks at each other with fighting intent, but when they were about to collide with each other,

Their visions suddenly got blurry as their spirit energy got disintegrated.
"What happened?!", Valery and Dray shouted inside their heads upon feeling their spirit is not responding, it's like they're back to the fifth rank again and having no spirit.
BOOM!
Despite the disturbance, both of them can't stop the momentum as they collide with each other.
Their collision creates a spark of elements before a powerful shockwave exploded, it was powerful but the descendants watching this frowned when they felt the energy.
It should be more powerful than this and they can tell that something is wrong,
Even with the powerful shockwave, the walls are not destroyed and even the windows are intact. Only the ground is destroyed, it seems the room is reinforced by a rune.
After the shockwave dissipated, both Valery and Dray widen their eyes,
They can feel something is holding their arms before they found a man standing between them, it shocked them so much that their body froze in place.
