Rex arrives at the principal's office where Linda is already waiting,
Although Linda is much older than Adhara or Rosie, she still has the elegant look wearing an eye-catching red color dress that falls down covering her legs and shoes.
The dress has a long V neck that teases the men's eyes with a glimpse of her chest,
"You ready?", Rex said with a huge smile while offering his arm, his sudden appearance surprises Linda as she didn't expect Rex to be this cheerful.
He's way different than his usual since there's not usually a bright smile on Rex's face.
The usual should be a stoic cold look that kept hanging on his face, but it seems he's in a good mood as Linda accepts his arm and asks, "You're awfully in a good mood today"
"Of course, I just can't wait for the banquet", Rex replied.
Hearing this, Linda squints her eyes as she looks at Rex curiously, "Didn't you still have a problem with the Atkins? I saw Hans visiting Edward yesterday"
"Don't worry, it has all been handled", Rex said without any pause.
He then continues, "Today, you will be accompanying me to meet with Wesley. You'll be my miss for the day! Let's go!"
"Oh my...", Linda mumbles as she got pulled away by Rex.
Meanwhile, Edward is currently on his way to Rex's room to meet with him.
Although the Atkins problem has been handled, for now, they need to discuss further plans regarding the Atkins that will definitely not stop right here even after what happened in the restaurant.
Yesterday at the restaurant where they met Daniel Burton,
Wesley Atkins intercepts their talk with Daniel Burton somehow, he then sits with the three of them since Daniel is welcoming of him.
Because of that, Adhara and Edward can't really get closer to Daniel.
Every time both of them try to talk to Daniel, Wesley always joins in or blatantly replied in Daniel's stead which prevents them from seriously taking with him.
The business deal they got with Daniel has already been resolved,
Wesley didn't hear much about the business detail, but in the end, Daniel and Adhara came to conclusion regarding their business deal.
Adhara even got quite a hefty sum of the money as an opener from Daniel.
The conversation reached the point where Rex's name was brought up,
"I heard of this Rex Silverstar", Daniel said catching Adhara, Edward, and even Welsey since they don't expect a busy man like Daniel to hear Rex's name.
Wesley looks at Daniel weirdly before he asks, "H-How do you heard of him?"
"I saw him on the news and I must say that he's quite a potential young lad, I thought that he can become a training partner for my son since he's also in the sixth rank realm", Daniel said as his expression lit up while saying a thing.
This caught Wesley off guard making him stunned on his seat,
But Adhara reached out for this opportunity and said, "Coincidentally we're quite close with Rex. If sir Daniel wants, I can ask him to spar with your son"
"That'll be great! I hope he's willing to do that", Daniel replied excitedly.
Seeing this, Edward seize the moment since Wesley is still at a loss for words and said, "Sir Daniel, You said that Rex is a potential young lad. What are your thoughts if someone is trying to bring him down because of his power rather than nurturing him?"
"That's blasphemy!", Daniel replied while sipping his drink beside him.
He then looks at Edward and continues with a serious expression, "Rex is basically the monster of Humanity, anyone should help him get stronger not the other way around. Why are you asking me this? Is Rex in somekind of trouble?"
The words that came from Daniel's mouth made Wesley smile wryly,
Unknown to Daniel, the person that is trying to pull Rex down is none other than the person sitting with him.
Hearing this, both Adhara and Edward looks at Wesley subconsciously.
The smirk on their faces can't almost be hidden as Edward replied, "There is someone trying to do that, but Rex can handle it"
"Humph! If I knew about it, I'll peel that person's skin off", Daniel said harshly.
But this instead makes Wesley gulps as he was caught off guard by what Daniel said, he even started avoiding Adhara and Edward's eyes since he didn't expect Daniel to pick on sides.
Daniel notices this as he asks, "Why are you two looking at Wesley?"
"Oh, Nothing"
"I was just about to ask Sir Wesley's thoughts about this matter, but I won't bore us with boring chatter"
Both Edward and Adhara smile innocently but Wesley clearly knew why they're looking at him.
After giving a forceful smile, Wesley takes a sip from his drink before he finally said, "Excuse me for a moment"
Daniel waves his hand while Edward and Adhara eyed Wesley walking away, the triumph smiles on their faces were clearly evident as they resume their conversation with Daniel.
Since Daniel has stated his thought about Rex,
The triumph smiles on Edward and Adhara's faces appear because with this, Wesley will have an even tight spot to play with since Daniel care for Rex.
He cares for Rex as an asset for humanity,
Bringing Rex down will become harder with Daniel voting for him, one wrong move and it might just be the end of the Atkins Family.
After leaving the table, Wesley looks back with a hateful look.
"Fuck!", he cursed while banging on the wall beside him, his blood is boiling when he saw Adhara and Edward talking happily with Daniel and putting him on the spot.
Back to the present,
Edward walks inside the entrance and found that the room is empty,
He saw Stuart standing on the side but he quickly disappear into a room before Edward can call on him, with a sigh, Edward then walks towards Rex's room.
After knocking a couple of times,
Adhara told him to get inside before Edward looks around with a frown, "Did Rex already leave for the banquet?", he asked after seeing Rex is not here.
Hearing this, Adhara who is lying on the bed then replied, "Yes, he just left twenty minutes ago"
Edward nodded his head,
"Why are you still here? I thought you'll be going with him", Edward asks in confusion, it's a banquet after all and it's weird for Rex to not invite Adhara.
With a lazy expression, Adhara then replied, "He asks but I didn't want to"
Upon hearing this, Edward walks closer to the bed with a frown and asks, "Why? Don't tell me it's still about Rosie?"
Adhara threw her face to the other side as a reply,
This makes Edward open his mouth in shock as he can't believe Adhara is still angry about Rosie, he then snapped out of his daze and said, "Are you serious?"
"Why are you still bringing that up?", Edward added.
Hearing this, Adhara bit her lips and said, "I don't know, I just hate it when he starts talking about his grand plan to save Rosie"
"Are you jealous?", Edward asks while sitting on the edge of the bed.
Then with a serious expression, Edward added, "This is life and death Adhara, Rosie is probably still alive now but she will soon die if Rex didn't save her"
"I know, but I don't know. Hearing him saying her name just budge me", Adhara said meekly.
Edward sighed upon hearing this, he then takes Adhara's hand before he finally said, "Listen, the only reason he's talking about Rosie is that Rosie needs to be saved. Aside from that, I'm sure Rex has no intention to talk about her"
"Especially since you don't want to talk about her. Just trust me, what he's feeling for Rosie is not more than a friend while you on the other hand is not", Edward added.
Hearing this, Adhara's face turns rosy as she said, "How did you know?"
"When you suddenly turn mad at him, I can see that he's troubled by it. I knew him for a long time, and the only thing that troubles him should've been about Supernaturals", Edward replied with a smile.
This makes Adhara looks down in thought,
Looking at her deliberating, Edward added while pulling Adhara out of the bed, "Just catch him in the banquet, and stop this nonsense"
After hearing this, Adhara finally nodded her head happily and runs to the toilet.
Meanwhile,
Rex walks out of the taxi that he ordered before he opens the other door for Linda just like a gentleman, they have arrived at the place where the 25 Golden Crest Banquet is held.
Walking out of the taxi, Linda was mesmerized by the scene.
The Banquet was held in the most outstanding hotel in sector 2B, it was already crowded with people from the guilds of the families.
Since this is the banquet for the 25 Families, the guilds under them are also invited.
The front of the hotel is a decoration pool with golden edges, water was shooting from the sides creating a wonderful decoration for the pool. Trees in a huge pot were also can be seen around the place, with waiters wearing black uniforms walking around with trays in their hands.
Rex and Linda walk side by side into the hotel grounds,
They walk on the side of the pool headed towards the main building just after the pool with a big sign on top of the building that says, 'Grandiose Dune Hotel'
"I feel undeserving in this place", Linda mumbles while walking towards the hotel.
Rex caught what she said before he stopped Linda, she was quite stunned when she saw that Rex is looking at her intently from the side while holding her hand gracefully.
With a bow of Rex, he kiss the back of Linda's hand and said, "You're more deserving than me"
"T-Thank you", Linda mumbles as she hides her redding face with her other hand, what Rex did makes her shy since she didn't expect Rex to do something like this to comfort her.
The act catch some of the attention of the surrounding people,
It makes Linda's face turns redder before Rex guides her towards the main building with a confident smile, he then gave his invitation to the hotel staff guarding the entrance.
The hotel staff accepts Rex's invitation before he said, "Please go to the third floor"
Rex nodded his head before the both of them walks up the stairs,
The first floor of the hotel is made of shiny marbles, drumming music filled the ears, and everyone is holding a glass of alcohol. These people are from varying guilds, they all are partying.
Rex and Linda squeezed through the crowd,
After they went through the crowd, they can see all of the guild members as they ascend the stairs slowly.
'It seems the 25 Golden Crest Families are on the third floor', Rex thought.
He didn't see any familiar faces in the first or second floor,
Since this is the 25 Golden Crest Banquet, they should have a separate room from the guild members that will give them more room to chat than on the first floor.
Rex and Linda arrived on the third floor before they saw a huge door,
Without thinking further, Rex opens the huge door before the faint sounds of more elegant music than the music on the first floor can be heard.
It must be the gathering of the 25 Golden Crest, and Rex walks in confidently.
After opening the door widely, all eyes of the people inside of the huge door were attracted to Rex as they all look at Rex and Linda weirdly.
Just like what Rex predicted, it really is the gathering of the 25 Golden Crest.
"I-I'm going to take us a drink", Linda said after seeing many of the people here are looking at Rex with different expressions.
Rex even saw Duncan Platchi glaring at him,
The Reed Family looks at him without expressions and even Wesley Atkins who already arrived and also is looking at Rex sharply.
Even with their glares, Rex smiles wanting to tease the Atkins but then suddenly,
The music suddenly stopped as the lights went out, which makes Rex confused since a blackout in this kind of hotel is practically impossible.
But then, another music penetrates his ears but this one is different than before.
The lights turn on again but this time the lights only light up the platform that is located on the far back of the room, the music started to become louder as dozens of women came out from the backroom and started dancing on the platform.
Looking at this, Rex was quite surprised, "What is this?"
