“One Light Elemental Orb for the Prince of Werewolf, It is my pleasure…”
The spirit bowed slightly in front of Rex and the others while handing the white orb, its posture looks polite but Rex can see a slight scowl and a hint of mock in its tone.
It’s like the spirit is amused by this for some reason, and it makes Rex a bit uncomfortable.
“Prince of Werewolf?”, Rex asks, his eyes are looking at the bowing spirit questioningly because he doesn’t know what it means by calling him, Prince.
Hearing this, the spirit straighten its back before walking closer to Rex, “You don’t know?”
Rex stands his ground fearlessly before the spirit points at the horn on Rex’s head, “These horns are the sign of a prince, the Prince of Werewolf”
“The monstrous terror of the full-moon”
“The rightful King of the Werewolf below the Origin”
“Bloodline of the Royal Black”
“It is fate that brought you here, and I’m honored to present this as a small gift for you, so please…”
The spirit brought the white orb in front of Rex’s eyes before it put the orb on Rex’s hand.
“Accept my gift, and may the Werewolves thrive in this era”, the spirit added.
But this makes Rex even more suspicious since the spirit is at an overwhelming advantage, and although he’s the so-called prince, it doesn’t need an expert to identify that the spirit in front of him is not a Werewolf.
He even saw a glimpse of disgust in the spirit’s face while it said the Royal Black part.
Rex held the white orb in his hand before he asks, “What do you want in return?”
This question makes the spirit smirk, but it then shakes its head and replies, “Absolutely nothing, I’m just happy to meet one of the Princes”
With the spirit’s two-faced innocent look, Rex definitely didn’t trust the spirit.
“What do you mean by the Rightful King? Am I a royalty or something?”, Rex asks curiously.
When he picked the Royal Black Werewolf as his path of Evolution, he didn’t expect that the Royal Black Werewolf turns out to be an actual royalty bloodline.
He didn’t know that much about his bloodline except for its power.
The spirit then looks at Rex weirdly, the spirit then said, “Of course you are. Your existence will make the Werewolf rejoice, but be wary, being royalty doesn’t come without responsibility”
‘Werewolf will rejoice huh’, Rex thought with a frown.
He then gives the white orb to Adhara before the spirit said, “I’m sorry but I can’t stay here any longer, I hope you have a safe trip since this is the human territory and all”
“How do you know that?”, Rex asks with a frown.
But the spirit only smiles mysteriously with the crack on its body started to stretch, it then glances above slowly, “Especially since there might be a little problem waiting for you up there”, it said hinting something to Rex.
Hearing this, Rex furrowed his eyebrows harder.
“Problem? What kind of problem?”, Rex asks in confusion.
The spirit didn’t answer as it closes its eyes, the crack spread around its body as its entire existence was about to shatter.
Right before the spirit was about to shatter, “Oh yeah, can you take the other sword?”
“Sword?”, Rex asks before looking at the Necthu sword in his hand.
The spirit then added, “Take the Fire Core and put it on the small pyramid of the Fire Elemental, the temple should give you another sword, and please use that to stab me”
“Why would I do that?”, Rex asks back.
He’s trying to figure out what the spirit in front of him really is, the spirit is very mysterious and the way it responds to Rex’s question suggests that it is hiding something more than what meets the eye.
It then replied, “If I shatter on my own, you can’t get the Gem inside there”, the spirit points at the blurry entrance that Kyran tried to get inside before.
“And no Gem means you three won’t survive leaving this place”, it added.
The spirit smiles playfully while saying this, and with how mysterious the spirit is, Rex doesn’t know exactly if what the spirit is saying is true or not.
‘It definitely bounded to this temple, just what is this spirit’, Rex thought with a frown.
He then glances at Kyran before giving the Fire Orb,
But then, Rex was caught off guard to see Kyran’s hideous expression as if he wanted to eat the spirit in front of him alive.
The anger is clear inside his face, and Rex didn’t quite get why he’s angry.
Looking at Kyran grinding his teeth, Adhara takes the Fire Orb after realizing that Kyran is not moving from his spot and just kept glaring at the spirit.
Adhara looks at Rex hesitantly before she runs outside to get the sword that the spirit talked about that seems to be the only thing that can kill it.
It didn’t take long for Adhara to put the Fire Orb inside the small pyramid.
Rex glance at the Nechtu sword in his hand with a frown, the Nechtu sword started to dissipate in his hand simultaneously as Adhara put the Fire Orb inside the small pyramid.
After doing that, the same thing happened,
The right statue suddenly looks in Adhara’s direction before the sword in its hand flew and stab the ground in front of Adhara blazing with the fire elements.
Its appearance is the same as the Nechtu sword but this one is a fire attribute.
Adhara can feel the same aura as the Fire Elemental they fought before, it’s definitely a sword made from that Fire Elemental.
She then wanted to run back into the temple but stopped,
Adhara saw that the Nechtu sword appears in the right statue’s hand again, The Nechtu sword that was supposed to be in Rex’s hand went back to the right statue. It seems they can’t use two swords simultaneously.
While this is all happening, Rex saw the spirit makes a cracking sound.
The crack already spread across its body as it almost shattered, but Adhara arrive right on time bringing back the Fire sword before handing it to Rex.
“Here”, she said.
Rex received the Fire Nechtu Sword before he glance at the spirit in thought.
“Stab me right here”, the spirit said while pointing at the middle of its chest.
It then added, “The Gem should be in there, and I advised you two to not get inside there”, the spirit points at the blurry entrance before it looks at Adhara and Kyran.
After saying that, Rex stabbed the spirit right on its chest.
STAB!
SWOOSH!
The fire from the sword engulf the spirit entirely, cracking sound can be heard as the spirit’s body cracked like glass until suddenly,
Shatter!
A subtle shockwave exploded after the spirit shattered, Its body exploded into million pieces before a notification appeared.

After the rows of notifications in front of him, Rex then glances at the blurry entrance that the spirit told to be where the Carabidis Gem is located.
The barrier seems to be deactivated after the last symbol above the pond lit up.
With the death of the three Carabidis Guardian, all of the symbols above the pond lit up which triggers something making the temple tremble.
The ground started to shake for a moment before the blurry barrier started blinking.
All of the entrances around them started to close one by one before the blurry entrance becomes as clear as day, Rex and the others can see the inside of the blurry entrance that the stairs lead to.
Rex and the others approached the entrance slowly,
“What pissed you off?”, Rex asks while looking around cautiously.
Hearing this, Kyran glance at Rex briefly before he shakes his head, “I don’t know why. But the spirit somehow stirred up my element, making me angry”
But Rex widen his eyes in surprise, ‘His element can affect him? Is that why his Berserk stat has a plus 30% beside it?’
When Rex unlocked the Pack Inspection Feature, he scans both Kyran and Adhara.
Aside from the percentage of their next evolution, the feature also shows their Berserk and Sanity’s stats, and Kyran’s berserk stats have a plus 30% beside it.
Turns out it might be from the dark element.
‘Maybe I should find more about that Dark Element’, Rex thought as he glance at Kyran.
They climb the stairs slowly while still keeping their guards up.
Upon meeting with the spirit before, they realized the temple is more than it seems.
Although Kyran and Adhara didn’t quite have any system, they know the spirit is very strong from the moment Rex fall to his knees in pain just by a glance of the spirit.
It also has an immense amount of killing intent that amounts to a sheer frightening level.
After they arrive at the end of the stairs, Rex and the others saw the room inside the blurry entrance that now can be seen through as clear as water.
The room surprised them a bit,
Much less than what they expected of an old Egyptian temple, the room inside of the blurry entrance looks more tidy and even spotless with no sand or anything.
The room looks as if there is someone living here, it just seems out of place.
Rex looks down and even saw the floor inside the room is covered by a textured carpet that still looks brand new, the drawings and pattern of the carpet are still clear and vivid like it’s just been put there.
While they’re looking inside, they then spot a rectangle shape object in the middle.
From a glance, Rex can see that the rectangle shape object looks like an Egyptian-style coffin shaped like a human with a cat head that is elevated on a platform. The one inside of it must be an important person.
The room even had candles lit up, the golden ornaments make the room looks royal.
Aside from that, there are also pots of plants surrounding the coffin.
Rex’s eyes glow as he scans the pots around the coffin to check if they were poisonous.
But the plants turn out to be not what Rex expected, it’s an eight rank plant that only has a cooling effect, cleaning effect, and even fragrance that can make anyone feel relaxed.
It’s a weird plant for a high-ranking one, the system also said that it’s an ancient plant.
The same as the Black Dandelion that he saw earlier.
“That should be the Gem”, Adhara said while pointing at a green glowing gem that is located on the top of the coffin right on the forehead of the cat person.
Looking at this, Rex then said, “Wait here”
“Are you really going to believe that spirit?”, Kyran asks from the back.
Hearing this, Rex stopped and looks back with a frown, “The fire sword is really there, and we don’t even know anything about this place. Both of you are better to wait here”
“If you take that Gem, the temple might crumble down”, Adhara added from the side.
Rex looks at Adhara before she continues, “Pantheon Temple in sector 1C crumbles when the explorer takes the Gem just like this one, I saw it when I’m browsing the internet”
Hearing this, Rex hesitated.
He was in a predicament as he hesitated to take the Gem because of what Adhara said, they need to enter the Exchequer first to see the treasure inside of it.
Taking the Gem which might result in crumbling the temple, it’s risky.
“Fine, let’s check the Exchequer first”, Rex said before they all went outside.
Since the system’s quest stated that to open the Exchequer he need the Guardians cores, Rex thought that maybe putting the three cores in the small pyramid will open the passage.
Arriving outside, Rex held the white orb before giving it to Kyran.
Kyran went to the last small pyramid, Adhara went to check on the fire pyramid, while Rex will go to the wind pyramid.
The three of them put each orb in its place.
After putting the light orb, three lights shot towards the entrance of the temple from each small pyramid before the statues on the temple’s entrance started to move.
Rex and the others look at this with a frown as the statues face the temple entrance.
With the weapon in their hands, the statues slash the temple’s entrance as a horizontal white slash mark appeared in front of the entrance.
The two statues then put their fingers inside the horizontal slash under Rex and the other’s gaze.
CRACK!
Both of the statues then pull at the same time opening some kind of portal from the white horizontal slash, it started to open bit by bit until it opened fully exposing its insides.
Rex and the others widened their eyes as they saw gold and other items inside of it.
Without a doubt that the Exchequer held treasures of the Carabidis Temple, and they can’t wait to take anything they can from the Exchequer.
Rex and the others went in front of the portal in awe but then suddenly,
The two statues suddenly turn to their back and look at Rex and the others, their eyes glow green before they suddenly go into their battle stance.
Both of their hulking figures look fierce as their eyes fixated on Rex and the others.
Looking at this, Adhara then whispers, “What is happening?”
Rex also frowns after seeing the statues’ battle stance, then suddenly, the fire sword in his hand also got pulled to the right statue.
It manages to free itself from Rex’s hand before going back to the right statue.
SWOOSH!
The statues’ weapons started to emit an immense elemental aura that can even make Rex jolt, its aura was put at its maximum after getting held by the statues.
“Mid Sixth Rank, both of them are mid-sixth rank”, Rex mumbles with a frown.
This makes Adhara and Kyran gulped as this statue is stronger than the elemental, Adhara then said with a wry smile, “W-We don’t need to fight them right?”
