“You won’t even know how you die…”
Rex’s words give a chill as soon as those words came out of his mouth.
The sixth rank Awakened frown as he feels Rex’s spirit outclassed him by a mile, “What kind of spirit is that, even the captain’s spirit is not this overbearing”, he mumbles lightly.
He then glance back at Rex and saw his cold expression.
Rex’s hands are clenched tightly as he gazes at the sixth rank Awakened, Devo is also watching the sixth rank Awakened coldly making him freeze on his spot.
Based on Rex’s expression, it seems he’s not playing around.
Rex smiles after he saw a slight bleak aura coming out of the sixth rank Awakened, he’s intimidated by Rex’s presence.
His eyes then landed on the other two Awakened and said, “That goes to both of you too”
This makes the other two Awakened that is only a fifth rank stood still, they didn’t even dare to breathe loudly much less move from their spot.
After saying that, Finna who watches all of this unfold becomes nervous.
If she had known that Rex is the sixth rank too then she might not offend him as she did, heck she even regretted picking the hard way even though this matter can be settled peacefully.
Any sixth rank Awakened will be a powerful figure in any city they resided in.
Even if they’re residing in Ratmawati City, they will be still powerful figures that are highly respected wherever they go.
Looking at Rex’s appearance, it’s clear that he’s not old.
Although he’s a huge and muscular guy, his face still screams twentyish age even by looking at it from afar.
While she’s thinking,
Finna suddenly saw Kyran disappear from his spot, the sword in Rex’s hand also disappear alongside him as she looks around trying to find where Kyran go but then suddenly, “You shouldn’t have said that…”
A voice whispers in her ears making her skin crawl.
Kyran suddenly appeared on her back like a ghost, she didn’t even feel Kyran’s presence.
The Nechtu sword is in Kyran’s hand as he plays with the sword playfully, he then flicks his hand before a cut suddenly appeared on Finna’s face.
“Huh?”, Finna mumbles as she touches her cheek.
She then looks at it in shock after seeing blood on her fingers,
“You dare hurt the UWO official?! No matter who you are, you’ll hang for this!!”, Finna suddenly shouted angrily pointing at Rex and the others.
She repeatedly threatens Rex and the others madly even though she’s not in a good situation.
Even the Awakened beside her got goosebumps whenever she cursed Rex and the others, they’re in an overwhelmingly bad situation as Rex still kept his eyes on them.
But then suddenly, “AARGHH!!”
The cut on Finna’s cheek suddenly got invaded by dark mana as the blood vessels around the cut turns black because of it, she prostrates on the ground while screaming in pain.
Finna is only a third rank Awakened, god knows how she becomes a high-ranking UWO official.
“You’re so noisy”, Kyran mumbles with an evil smile.
BAM!
Kyran landed a solid kick right on Finna’s stomach while she’s still wailing in pain.
The kick sends her screeching away staining her clothes with the brown sand, she stopped after rolling a couple of times with blood leaking from her mouth.
Looking at this, the sixth rank Awakened then look at Rex in a meaningful look.
Rex then glance at Kyran who is still wanting to do something to Finna, he then called, “Kyran, let’s not dwell with them any longer”
But then suddenly,
STAB!
“AARRGHH!!”, a high-pitched scream can be heard loudly as Rex who was about to turn around looks back at Kyran in shock.
Even Adhara was surprised upon seeing this,
Kyran just stabbed Finna’s thigh with the Nechtu sword, the sword penetrates her thigh cleanly as it is stabbed to the ground pinning her on the ground.
The three Awakened widened their eyes as they wanted to help.
But Rex’s glare stops them in place as they don’t want to engage in a fight, the situation will escalate if that were to happen.
“That’s enough!”, Rex shouted as his Alpha aura leaked out.
Hearing this, Kyran glance at Rex who is now looking at him warningly before he squats down to whisper at Finna who is holding her thigh in pain, “You have a pretty sharp mouth”
Kyran then grabs Finna’s hair, “Make sure to never threaten him again”, he said while pointing Finna’s head towards Rex’s direction.
“Because the next time you do, I will kill you”, He finally added before pulling the sword away.
Blood spurted out of Finna’s thigh as Kyran pulls the sword away.
After pulling the sword, Kyran vanished into the darkness before appearing back at beside Rex who is now looking at him weirdly.
“You don’t need to do all of that”, Adhara reminded.
Kyran smiles lightly, “She did threaten to kill us, it’s just payback”, he replied nonchalantly.
“You can check this place around, but don’t get in our way”, Rex said before he retracts back Devo’s astral projection and walks inside the entrance.
Adhara follows him from the back as she also retracts her purple fire.
But Kyran is the last one to get inside the entrance, he looks at Finna and the Awakened with a devious smile before he finally follows Rex inside.
“Damn them”, the sixth rank Awakened cursed lightly.
The two others then helped Finna out as the sixth rank Awakened mumbles, “Freaking Dark Elementalist, they’re always like this”
“Are you okay?”, one of the Awakened asks while helping Finna get up.
She’s still coughing out blood because of what Kyran did,
After getting helped to get up, Finna glance at the temple’s entrance where Rex and the others go off to with an expression filled with hatred, “I’ll make them regret not killing me”, she mumbles determinedly.
The sixth rank Awakened sighed before he finally said, “Let’s go back, this exploration is a total failure”, he sigh before they all left.
Meanwhile, Rex and the others went inside the temple’s entrance
Without even minding what just happened to them before, they’re all become focused on what they’re currently doing instantly.

After the notification from the system, Rex clench the Necthu Sword’s hilt in his hand.
The fight with the Sand Elemental is brutal and they need to be cautious.
“Our next fight will be against a Fire Elemental. Adhara, you focus on defending Kyran”, Rex said while they inch deeper into the temple.
Adhara is a Fire Elementalist,
Fighting against a Fire Elemental, her spells or elements won’t work against a Fire Elemental that is literally made by fire.
But that goes both ways, Adhara can help protect Kyran with her purple fire element.
The entrance of the temple leads to a narrow path with a high ceiling.
Many drawings and symbols can be seen along the wall they’re walking through, it’s very dark in the temple since there are no lighting in this place.
Even the torches are dead, there is not a single source of light here.
All of Rex and the others’ eyes glow in the absence of light, they can perfectly see inside this dark environment even the black drawings on the wall.
While they walk deeper with Rex leading them,
Rex can subtly hear a growling sound from inside, ‘That must be the mutated animals that ran into the temple’, he thought while gazing around cautiously.
After they reach the end of the narrow path, they arrive at a spacious place.
Swoosh!
Torches around the place immediately lit up as soon as Rex and the others walked in, it’s like some sort of magic that makes them lit up automatically.
Even Rex who looks at these torches weirdly can’t feel any mana from them.
The torches lit up magically without using any mana, it should be impossible to do but it happened in front of them magically.
Rex and the others look around the place with full caution as the torches lit up the place.
Three huge closed entrances can be seen, two on Rex’s left and one on his right.
One of the entrances on his left is already opened that has a pathway that Rex found familiar, ‘That must be where I first met the Sand Elemental’, he thought.
Although it’s been a long time since he’s here, he can still remember the place he met that thing.
“What is this place”, Kyran mumbles as he gazes around the place curiously.
The place that they just arrived in is decorated with huge pillars the size of a school bus and it reaches all the way to the ceiling.
Sands filled this place just like they did on the outside, and this place is mainly made of rocks.
Adhara looks around the place in awe, “I don’t know, but this place is beautiful”
Her eyes landed on the colorful huge plants that lie around the place, the plants are inside a big pot and from the system’s description, they are at least fifth rank mutated plants or higher.
One particular plant that is located on Rex’s right even reaches the sixth rank.
The rumbling of the dark clouds can be heard clearly inside her just like outside because of the holes in the ceiling.
In front of them is a rectangle shape pond of crystal clear water with three glowing symbols spinning above the pond with one of them lit up. The wind symbol lit up that Rex thought to be connected with the Sand Elemental they killed.
The pond leads to stairs that in turn leads to an opened gate,
Rex and the others can’t quite see the inside of the open gate since it’s cloudy for some reason, it’s like a blur that prevents them from seeing inside.
After looking around, Rex and the others started to wander around.
First Rex approaches the spinning glowing symbol above the lake, he stretches out his hand to touch the symbol but his hand went through the symbol.
Its shape got disrupted by Rex’s touch but it went back to its original shape again.
‘What is this?’, Rex asks the system.
The system didn’t answer making Rex frown as he look at the other spinning symbols, the other two symbols are not glowing, “Fire and Light”, Rex mumbles lightly.
Based on the shape of the symbol, Rex can deduce them to represent Fire and Light.
‘So we’re going to fight two elementals, and it will be Fire and Light’, Rex thought as he glance to his right and found Adhara looking at the plants.
He then approached her and looks at the plants that she’s looking at.
“This is called Black Dandelions”, Rex said while looking at the black plants in front of him.
Hearing this, Adhara glance at Rex before looking back at the black plants, “What does this plant do? It’s gorgeous”, she mumbles.
Rex reads the description from the system before he smiles,
“It might be surprising, but these Black Dandelions can make a barrier that has a deadly effect on humans. Upon a touch from it, humans will suffocate and die. Even touching the floating seed will poison a human, It’s an ancient plant that dates back to…”, Rex explains but suddenly stopped.
He then mumbles, “Thousands of years ago…”
This makes Adahara’s eyes widen as she marvels at the plant, “That makes it even more attractive, to think that such plant exists”
After looking at the Black Dandelions, Rex then saw Kyran in the corner of his eyes.
Kyran is currently walking to the stairs heading towards the blurry opened gate.
His steps reverberated inside this place as he steps closer towards the blurry opened gate, and when he reaches in front of it, he wanted to touch the opened gate.
Then he realized he can’t.
Kyran’s hand stopped by a blurry barrier that prevent him from going inside the gate.
Even after he put more strength into his push, the barrier didn’t budge as it denied Kyran’s access to it.
“Stop that”, Rex shouted from the back.
But then suddenly, the huge entrance on the left makes a huge scratching noise as the entrance opened slowly making Kyran disappear and reappear beside Rex.
“I can feel it”, Kyran whispers cautiously.
Hearing this, Rex looks at the entrance as a fiery figure appeared after the entrance opened.
The Fire Elemental appeared from behind the huge entrance as its eyes landed on Rex and the others, but soon its eyes landed on Rex fixedly with a burning gaze.
ROARR!
Seeing this, Rex then mumbles as he readies his sword, “The Fire Elemental…”
