“What seems to be the problem?”, Rex asks calmly.
The one that called him is Vargas, it seems he just got the news that many of the reinforcements that should arrive at Eqosa City got delayed because of the Green Messenger’s doing.
It’s not a surprise though since Eqosa City is a great city to defend.
If Eqosa City falls to the Supernatural hand then the Supernatural will get this strong sieging city that should’ve been humanity’s advantage.
Aside from that, It will also give a pathway to Illgate City.
Vargas on the other side then said angrily, “Can you ask the SCO to stop blocking our way to Eqosa City, Don’t hide behind the civilians like a coward!“
“Why are they fighting us openly, our main enemy is the Supernatural!“, he added.
Hearing this, Rex sigh as he already expected this much of a response from Vargas, “Just accept the proposal Vargas. Just like you just said, Internal fighting will only benefit the Supernatural”
“I know! I already told Sebrof but he decline it immediately”, Vargas answered bitterly.
Rex was quite surprised upon hearing this, he doesn’t expect that Vargas will have an open mind to accept the proposal since he’s so against it as to what Adhara said.
It seems his plan to let Adhara talk to Vargas worked.
Rex then asks, “Sebrof?”
“He’s the UWO leader that sits above the High Table, the most powerful man in Ratmawati City and also the president of the UWO main branch”, Vargas explained.
This makes Rex frown, he thought convincing Vargas is enough.
But now the next problem arises, the president of presidents called Sebrof decline the proposal to band together with the SCO.
“He won’t agree easily, we need to make a statement”, Vargas mumbles lightly.
Hearing this, ‘It seems I still need to make a statement, but it’s for Sebrof, not Vargas’, Rex thought with a sigh.
He then finally said, “Do you have an influence on the media?”
“Of course I have, the UWO has a huge power over the media companies to broadcast numerous news or even calm the people down”, Vargas replied confidently.
Rex smiles lightly before he said, “I got a plan, I’ll tell you about it later”
After saying that, Rex hang up the phone after Vargas agree to talk some more later.
“Who’s calling?”, Adhara asks from the side.
The both of them have finished breakfast, they’re in their room with a full stomach.
Adhara is currently in front of the makeup table putting some lotion on her face while gazing at Rex that just hang up from Vargas through the mirror’s reflection.
Rex glance at Adhara, “Vargas, the reinforcements to Eqosa City got blocked by the SCO”
“You don’t seem to be surprised, is it the Green Messenger’s doing?”, Adhara asks nonchalantly, she can read Rex’s expression a bit.
Hearing this, Rex nodded his head with a frown.
Then suddenly, he remembered something, “Adahra, Can you tell me about the man that got arrested that night you talk with Vargas?”
“There’s nothing much to say”, Adhara replied while putting down her stuff.
She then recalls the event, “While I wait for you guys to come to pick me up, I saw a commotion in front of the UWO office. There I saw a man that looks like he works in the UWO office getting arrested by the FAA”
“Did you hear what they’re talking about?”, Rex asks again.
Adhara went silent for a moment as she tries to remember that night, she then said, “I heard that he’s being arrested because of collusion, and it definitely has something to do with the SCO because I asked the woman that accompany his arrest”
Rex was put into thoughts when he’s hearing this, his eyes then landed on the crow.
The crow is looking at them intently with its hollow eyes, and after a bit of contemplation Rex finally, approach the crow and said, “Green Messenger”
At night time, Rex and the other go down to Carabidis Temple again.
But this time, Delta didn’t come since she’s still being treated by the doctor. Although when Rex checked her she’s already lively, it’s clear that one day won’t be enough for her to regain back to her full strength.
Because of that, Rex decided to leave Delta there to rest for another day.
Rex decided that they will tackle the Carabidis Temple at night since this is the time that they’re the strongest, the Sand Elemental makes him more cautious than before.
It’s best that they’re can finish this Temple with fewer injuries than before.
After penetrating through the dark clouds, Rex and the others slid down easily as their wounds are already recovered and the sky is not raining like last time.
Rex looks around the temple and saw that it’s still the same as before.
The small pyramid with the wind symbol is still shining brown light towards the temple, while the other small pyramid with the fire symbol is glowing red.
“Who’s that?”, Kyran suddenly asks as he points in a direction.
Hearing this, Rex glance in the direction Kyran points at and saw a couple of figures standing in front of the small pyramid with the wind symbol.
Rex frowns upon seeing this, “How did they know this place?”
After they reach the sandy ground, the three of them walk cautiously towards the group of people that are standing in front of the small pyramid.
There are four people to be exact,
Three of them wear armor befitting of an Awakened that comes from a guild, while the last one wears a white coat with a familiar badge on her chest. It’s the UWO badge.
Not long after, the group of people notices Rex and the others’ presence.
“Hey, you! How did you get here!”, one of the Awakened said while pointing at Rex.
Hearing this, the other Awakened and the UWO member looks back and saw Rex and the others are approaching them, they all frown upon looking at this.
“Stop right there!”, the other Awakened said after feeling Rex, and the others are also Awakened.
Rex and the others stopped a couple of meters away from them, they also are confused about how this group of people know this place.
After hawking each others’ group cautiously, Rex then said, “How did you know this place?”
“This is the UWO’s property, we advised you three to leave this place or I will be forced to file charges on you for trespassing UWO’s property”, the UWO member steps in front before she said sharply with an air of arrogance.
Hearing this, Rex frowns, ‘UWO’s property? Just how did they find this place’
“And you are?”, Rex points at the UWO member while raising one of his eyebrows up.
The UWO member then replied, “I am Finna the leader of the Exploration Division of UWO Branch in Ophester City, by that authority, I advised you to leave”
“Since when did this place becomes UWO’s property? We didn’t see any sign that stated this place is your property”, Rex replied calmly.
But this clearly makes Finna’s expression darken.
Rex then added, “So until there’s a sign or statement saying that this place is UWO’s property, then you can’t tell us to leave this place”
After saying that, Rex head towards the entrance followed by the others.
“You won’t be able to get anything from this place, the guardians here are powerful Elementals. Only Awakened that has an element that is related to True Element can hurt them, these three Awakened here have elements that are related to True Element”, Finna said proudly.
Finna then said with a scornful look, “You’re lucky the Sand Elemental I encountered before seems to be slumbering, or you guys will be dead”
Hearing this, Rex stopped on his track.
A smirk crept on his face as he opens the inventory and summon the Nechtu sword that he got after killing the Sand Elemental.

The Nechtu sword appeared in Rex’s hand out of nowhere, the black sword makes the sand around it swirls as the linings on the body of the sword glow with golden brown energy that emits an identical aura as the Sand Elemental.
It glows majestically as if it’s bragging its power to the new pairs of eyes that saw it.
Looking at the Nechtu Sword in Rex’s hand makes the three Awakened and Finna widened their eyes in shock. Although they find the disappearance of the Sand Elemental weird, they thought the Sand Elemental went back to slumbering.
The possibility of the Sand Elemental getting killed didn’t cross their minds at all.
All they thought was that only they that knows this place, but turns out Rex already found this place way before they even near this place.
“I-Impossible…”, Finna mumbles with her trembling lips.
The three Awakened also widened their eyes in shock as they saw the Egyptian sword in Rex’s hand, it confirms that Rex and the others are the ones that killed the Sand Elemental.
Rex glance back at the group before he said, “You’re too late, this sword probably holds the key to this place and I have them”
After saying that, Rex was about to resume to go inside but then,
“Stop! Give us the sword and the UWO will reward you handsomely”, Finna suddenly shouted with a slightly threatening tone in her voice.
This caught Rex off guard since he didn’t expect a UWO member to act like this.
But seeing Rex doesn’t have the slightest intention to give the Necthu sword, Finna frowns as the three Awakened step in front.
It’s clear what they intended to do,
She then added, “Don’t act tough little man, you’re nothing in front of the UWO officials. I can dispose of guys like you with a word from my mouth”
Hearing this, the air suddenly changes as Finna felt her skin crawl for some reason as if she’s meeting with a powerful beast.
Even the three Awakened can feel the change in the air, the air becomes suffocating.
Adhara and Kyran who are silent all this time turn back slowly facing the group.
Looking at this, the three Awakened step back in defense fearing that Finna might get jumped by Adhara and Kyran.
While Rex approached the group before,
Rex already scans the group and finds that two of the Awakened are peak fifth rank while the other one is an early sixth rank that might pose a threat for them.
BOOM!
Adhara’s body exploded with purple fire that is blazing fiercely.
Her body bathes in purple flame as she glares at Finna angrily, the purple fire becomes even stronger the more Adhara looks at Finna.
The surrounding temperature rises alongside Adhara’s burning purple flame.
Seeing this, the Awakened frown as they felt the powerful element Adhara possesses.
The sixth rank Awakened even feels her element is on par with him if not stronger, it’s not an exaggeration to say that Adhara’s element is superior to him.
But then suddenly, a cold air envelopes their body from the side.
The Awakened and Fina glance to the right and find Kyran is also glaring at them, but what makes their eyes almost leave their pocket is because of the dark aura around Kyran’s body.
“D-DARK ELEMENT?!”, all of them sucked in a cold breath.
Since Finna works with the UWO, then she definitely has seen the database for the licensed Awakened all over Ratmawati City and even other low-level cities.
Because of that, she certainly knows how rare Dark Elementalist is.
Only a handful of Awakened is a Dark Elementalist, it can even be counted with one hand.
Now in front of her, there’s a Dark Elementalist that boasts its dark power while also glaring at her with a chilly cold look.
“Tell these two to stand down or I will be forced to stop them”, the sixth rank Awakened shouted.

A hooded fiery astral spirit appeared on the sixth rank Awakened’s back amplifying his aura by quite a bit, he looks at Rex demandingly as his eyes blaze with fire.
But instead of being intimidating, Rex’s smirk grows even wider instead.
BLITZ!!
BOOM!!
A huge and thick black lightning bolt struck down on Rex’s body spitting sparks of lightning to the surroundings, Rex’s body got engulfed with blitzing black lightning that makes the sixth rank Awakened frown.
But it’s not over yet,

A powerful energy wave exploded from Rex’s body as Devo appeared above him.
Devo’s appearance amplifies Rex’s black lightning by three folds as Devo’s two lightning eyes look down on the sixth rank Awakened.
No mist came out like last time, and Devo’s appearance is only an astral projection.
Unlike when Rex summons Devo from the inventory, his appearance now is nothing but an astral projection rather than Devo’s actual form.
But this is enough to make the sixth rank Awakened step back in fear.
The immense spiritual pressure that Devo emitted crushed his meek spirit, his spirit becomes smaller in comparison in front of Devo who looks like an ancient spirit.
Rex turns to his back slowly as his eyes landed on the sixth rank Awakened.
Seeing this, the sixth rank Awakened steps back subconsciously knowing that the situation they’re in is not good as they shouldn’t have provoked Rex and the others.
“Lay one finger on them”, Rex said slowly while raising one of his fingers.
He then continues, “I’ll be forced to step in, you won’t even know how you die…”
