After examining Daohua’s complexion closely and seeing she was in good spirits, Dong Yuanyao finally relaxed, “You missed the carriage earlier and were forced into the woods, it scared me to death. Thankfully, heaven was with us, and you returned safely.”
Daohua laughed, “Yes, it was a close call.” Moving swiftly on from the subject of her own health, “How about you? Are you all alright?”

Daohua and Dong Yuanyao exchanged glances, rose to their feet, and walked to the window, just in time to see Chen Jiarou gazing adoringly at Xiao Yeyang.
