“Did you ask me to come here, just for this?” said Jiang Fei as he held up the piece of jade.
“Of course not,” said Han Tianyu as he got up from his executive seat and came to Jiang Fei.
“I’ve heard news that someone from the Zhang Family had been contacting you.”
“Ah. That must be Zhang Yangxu!” said Jiang Fei openly. There was nothing to hide. Zhang Yangxu had openly come to Manda Square to pick him up. It was impossible for him to hide that.
“I don’t have anything to say against you meeting with a member of the Zhang Family. However, I must warn you that they have great ambition. Though they lack the power to do it. I’m sure you already know that there is no powerful Metahuman supporting the Zhang Family. They were destined to be in the second rank!” said Han Tianyu. His voice was filled with malice even though he said that he did not mind Jiang Fei meeting with Zhang Yangxu.
In Han Tianyu’s eyes, Jiang Fei was just like a piece of white paper. Han Tianyu was his only friend and benefactor for now. It would be too much to say that Han Tianyu was trying to control or even make use of Jiang Fei. However, he would wish that Jiang Fei did not go around getting close to the other family.
Although Jiang Fei was strong, when put next to a Metahuman, he was still a young boy. A hot-tempered boy who would not mind getting into war with others just to protect his brothers.
Han Tianyu would not know about how the other family treats their friends and closed ones. However, if Jiang Fei got close to those who did not mind stabbing a friend’s back, he might pick up that behavior. What happened if Han Tianyu required help and Jiang Fei backstabbed him?
“It’s fine. I have thought about it. I’m keeping my distance but not too far!”
“Alright. Forget about what I said. Do you remember about the fight between the Metahumans?”
Han Tianyu did not want to push Jiang Fei to do something he did not want to do. Hence, after Jiang Fei had brushed it off, Han Tianyu did not pursue the matter. He then changed the topic.
“What about it?” Jiang Fei pretended to know nothing about the “incident”. It was obvious since Han Tianyu’s face suddenly lit up. It must be the disappearance of the spaceship that the Lockheed Family was supposed to claim.
“Did you remember that I said the fight was because of some prize?”
“Yeah.”
“Hehehe! It’s funny because just as the Lockheed Family had won the fight, their prize was stolen!” Han Tianyu laughed, just as Jiang Fei had predicted.
“REALLY!? How is that possible?”
Of course it was possible, because it was him that had stolen it. Even so, Jiang Fei had to pretend he did not know anything about it.
“Oh! You didn’t know? This news has been around for several days before I’ve picked it up! This is by far the happiest news that I have ever heard!” cried Han Tianyu as he laughed again.
The Lockheed Cooperation and Manda Group had been rivals for a while. Both were weapons manufacturer at the highest price and capability. Both of them made basically the same thing. If it was not an aircraft carrier, it would be long-ranged ballistic missile. As rivals, both sides hated each other to the core. Hence, when the Lockheeds were having a bad time, Han Tianyu was naturally be delighted.
“Did they catch the culprit?” Jiang Fei asked as he tried to be as innocent as possible.
“From what I’ve heard, the Lockheed had narrowed down the thief to the Warner Family. While the Warner had denied ever having seen the prize, both sides were just throwing insults to each other. I don’t see them going to war with each other, unless it was a war of insults.”
“Is that so…”
Jiang Fei relaxed when he knew that someone had taken the blame for it.
“I think there will be something exciting to see in the near future. When that happens, I’ll bring you along!” said Han Tianyu.
“Well, we’ll cross that bridge when we get to it. Until then!” said Jiang Fei as he stood up and moved towards the door.
“What the hell? Am I wasting your time? Come on, have a little chat!” said Han Tianyu, pretended to be angry.
“Talk to yourself! I’ve told you. I don’t swing that way!”
“Close the door when you get out!” cried Han Tianyu casually as he waved goodbye to Jiang Fei. The only reason why Jiang Fei was able to talk to Han Tianyu so casually was because of their bonds as brothers. On the other hand, the Zhangs would not find earning Jiang Fei’s trust that easily.
“It’s about time to let the Zhang Family know about respect,” said Jiang Fei clenched his fist.
In his room, Jiang Fei touched the ring on his fingers. 0541 was still hibernating. A few days had passed since Jiang Fei had been busy with the Mana Node quest. There was zero progress in finding a suitable power source for the ring.
“F*cking annoying! I’ll head over to the alliance to see if they have anything nice. If they don’t have anything, I’ll just make some excuses and ask for some nuclear power cell from brother Yu!”
Jiang Fei was annoyed as he had not been involved in “that” circle for too long. There had been too many things that he was not told of. Nuclear aside, he did not have any idea where to get a gun on the black market.
When night came, Jiang Fei logged into the game. It took a whole day (real world) for Rosette Rose to work and not stop since Empyreal Dragon had been accepting members. When Jiang Fei logged in, there was already over 30,000 members in the Empyreal Dragon. Everything about their membership, down to their contracts and even their positions in the guild had been arranged neatly.
“Good job!” said Jiang Fei as he met Rosette Rose. The two of them were close and she did not mind that Jiang Fei had done absolutely nothing in management. Both of them knew that if Jiang Fei had helped, things might get even more confusing.
“Little Rain and Seven Star Warrior, I want the two of you to standby for a while. There’s something I need you to do!” said Jiang Fei in the guild chat.
The two then immediately obeyed and waited at the city.
“Lady Casanova, could you do me a favor and pick the best player. I need a few of them to raid the Heroic difficulty dungeon!”
Jiang Fei had also asked for Lady Casanova to hand-pick the best players she knows. He was making preparation for the Level 40 Secret Dungeon.
At that point, Little Rain and Seven Star Warrior were at Level 35. Lady Casanova and her merry little lots would be at most, Level 36. So, to prepare them to tackle the Level 40 Secret Dungeon, Jiang Fei would have to bring them for a leveling spree, as well as farming for better equipment.
“Will do! It would be very easy since we have the combination of three guilds! I’m sure finding forty strong players would be fast!” Lady Casanova replied. Even though she was technically under Jiang Fei’s leadership, she was given a high position in the guild. Hence, she did not feel like she was being exploited or used.
“Forty? Don’t misunderstand me! I only want five of your best. A tank and two healers must be included!”
Jiang Fei was preparing for the five-man dungeon. If he were to bring a whole team of forty players, there was no reason to raid a dungeon anymore.
“B-But… that’s… Heroic?”
Lady Casanova did not understand what Jiang Fei was thinking. A Heroic difficulty dungeon would be impossible to raid without a full party. However, halfway through the conversation, Lady Casanova remembered that Jiang Fei had cleared a forty-man dungeon alone. The fact that he wanted to bring them along must be for a good reason.
