After the announcer called the name of the God Tamer, the audience started bustling even more. They probably didn’t expect that a God Tamer would decide to pay a visit on such a low-level tamer competition.
“Good morning to all! I’m just here to watch a tamer that caught my eye, so don’t mind me and enjoy the show!”
Despite his short speech, the content immediately sent the audience into a feverish cheer. “There’s a newbie tamer that God Zeshion is watching!” The audience immediately argued with each other about who the lucky tamer was.
“Tamers, did you hear that? God Zeshion, our beloved God Tamer, is watching your battles! Do your best and show what you can do!”
The announcer immediately used this occasion to rouse the spirits of the tamers participating in the main tournament. Of course, it was extremely effective. All the contestants’ desire to win burned brightly in their eyes.
“Then, let’s not wait for it any longer and begin with our first matchup! From the East Gate, we have the winner of the 1st block and one of the rare Dragon Tamers! Let’s welcome, Helen and her tamed dragon Greeny!”
As the announcer spoke her piece, a small girl that should be below 10 years old in appearance walked forward with a three-meter tall green dragon, an Emerald Dragon, following behind her.
“Tamer Helen may look young but she’s actually 20 years old already!”
The announcer added as the audience cheered loudly.
“Next, from the West Gate, he is the winner of the 2nd block and, surprise! Is also a rare Dragon Tamer! Clap your hands for Brad and his tamed dragon Edelweiss!”
After Helen entered, Brad came in riding on top of his white dragon, a rare Light Dragon. His dragon was larger than Helen’s at about 5 meters high.
After both sides approached the stage, which was 5 times larger than the preliminaries’ stage and much more refined, the two dragons immediately alighted the stage. With two large monsters staring at each other from both sides, the stage seemed to look smaller than it is despite being over 250 meters long on each side.
“Then, without further ado! First round, first match! Helen versus Brad, start!”
As soon as her voice was heard, the two dragons charged at each other. Their speed was fast, as expected from their large and slender build.

The first to launch an attack was the Emerald Dragon, releasing a [Roar]. The Light Dragon, hit by the soundwaves, flinched a little before sending a [Roar] of itself canceling out the skill’s effect. With that exchange, it was obvious that the power of the two was about the same.
The Emerald Dragon managed to close the distance and send a [Tail Attack] to the head of the Light Dragon. Seeing the incoming attack, the light dragon quickly ducked low before pouncing forward, launching a [Tackle].
The Emerald Dragon tried to dodge to the side, but was caught unprepared and was immediately hit. Fortunately, the [Tackle] skill wasn’t fully activated and it only suffered a minor bruise as a result.
Seeing the back of the Light Dragon, the Emerald Dragon released a [Claw Attack], sending three light claws toward the unguarded back. The Light Dragon, unable to quickly turn, was instead hit and suffered an open wound.
The Emerald Dragon tried to launch another [Claw Attack] but was suddenly sent flying as the Light Dragon released a powerful [Shockwave] around itself. After earning a small respite, the Light Dragon immediately turned towards the Emerald Dragon and started charging an attack.
The Emerald Dragon, who was a little dizzy after getting flown back a bit, was delayed in reacting to its tamer’s instructions. The Light Dragon finished charging its skill and released a blinding wave of light from its mouth, a signature move of dragon types, [Dragon’s Breath].
The Emerald Dragon immediately curled down to protect itself as it activated its [Earth Magic], hardening the scales all over its body. After the breath attack ended, the Emerald Dragon was slightly injured but was still able to continue fighting.
Rather, the stage was the one that suffered great damage as almost half of it got turned into rubble in an instant.
“Amazing! As expected of dragons, their powers are almost equal! It’s hard to say who is currently winning in this exchange!”
The announcer did her job well as she commented and explained each and every attack that was exchanged by both sides. Of course, this in turn raised the mood of the audience as the cheers got louder and louder. The excitement of the match was almost uncontrollable. 𝘦.𝘰𝘳𝑔
On the other hand, the two tamers who are fighting have cold sweat dripping from their foreheads. After their exchange, although both monsters look fine, they are actually both pretty damaged. The Light Dragon’s wound was actually pretty deep that blood keeps flowing down. The Emerald Dragon on the other hand couldn’t even walk any more after spending too much energy on defense.
‘The next move will decide the match!’ The two of them instinctively felt.
“Greeny! Use [Rupture]!”
“Edelweiss, use [Light Rain]!”
The two tamers shouted at the same time. Hearing this, the two dragons who are almost near their limits did as ordered. The Emerald Dragon stuck its hand into the stage and started gathering power. The Light Dragon, on the other hand, started using its claws to write scribble-looking script in the air which magically glowed like light itself.
“What’s this?! The two suddenly decided to use their trump cards! Not even a minute into the match and they are already planning to end it with this move!”
The audience, after seeing what was happening on the stage, held their breath in anticipation. ‘Who will be able to use their sure-kill skill first?’ That question popped into their mind of all of them.
Then, the fated moment came.
“It’s the Emerald Dragon! The Emerald Dragon’s [Rupture] activated first!”
The ground, including the stage, suddenly split in half as the opened void swallowed the Light Dragon in one go. Then, before the enemy was able to react, the ground closed again, only leaving the head of the Light Dragon above the ground.
The Emerald Dragon won by a hair’s breadth!
“Match over! The winner, Helen!!!”
“WOOOOOAH!!!”
The audience cheered the loudest they did after the announcer declared that Helen won.
