The two enemies were flying right now, making it impossible to sense their legs.
However, Kyle could hear them.
‘But how does sound actually work in this world?!’ Kyle thought nervously. ‘I should have asked! Is the speed of sound the same as on Earth?!’
This was important since the enemies moved at speeds of several hundred kph at this point.
When Kyle heard the start of the attack, it was possible that the attack was already a third or halfway to its destination.

Suddenly, one of the two sounds rapidly became louder.

The spot below him exploded, and the thundering sound of beating wings was right beside him.
‘It does not follow the rules!’ Kyle thought. ‘The speed of sound is much faster than on Earth!’
‘Sound most likely works with Ether instead of matter.’
At that point, the other pair of beating wings became louder.
Since Kyle was still using Time Slow, he quickly came up with a plan.
He held his hammer towards the direction of the other pair of beating wings with his left arm while his right arm went to his right.
BANG!
Something with incredible power hit his hammer, and Kyle was pushed backward.
However, Kyle’s right hand had grabbed the edge of a hard plate.
The force pushing Kyle back changed its trajectory, and Kyle spun around the hard plate.
BANG! BANG! BANG!
‘Ow, ow, ow,’ Kyle thought as he was now between the bottom beetle’s wing armor and wings, which meant he was constantly being battered by the wings.

Kyle’s hammer also followed Kyle, but since it was much longer, it hit the top of the other wing plate, forcefully closing it.
Then, the wings stopped beating, and the hard plate above Kyle moved down.
CRK!
His body was compressed a slight bit as he was stuck between the wings and the closed plate.
Luckily, the closing force of the wing plates was not nearly strong enough to injure him.
‘Time to chow down!’
Then, Kyle bit into the wings below him, tearing them out of their sockets.
At the same time, he let go of his hammer and started to claw at the wings below him.
Metal Ether appeared around Kyle’s nails as he used Pilebunker on them.
As he kept clawing, he felt warm liquid splashing all over his body.
Naturally, Kyle opened his mouth, catching and drinking all the bug juices that hit his mouth.
While this was happening, the beetle was jumping up and down, left and right, back and forth.
It was panicked.
CRK!
Eventually, it jumped onto the ground, back first.
That only resulted in Kyle’s claws digging even deeper into the body.
He shoved one handful of bug meat into his mouth after the other as he kept digging.
The other beetle could only watch as its mate was being eaten from the inside out.
What was it supposed to do?!
It couldn’t attack its mate!
Its instincts refused to comply!
Its instincts told it to never attack its mate, no matter what!
The first beetle was just jumping around in panic, trying to kill the thing currently eating it from the inside.
‘You’ll never get rid of me!’ Kyle thought as he tore everything apart that he got his hands on. ‘I’m a fucking parasite! What you gonna do against a parasite, you fucking insect?!’
Over a painful minute, the beetle succumbed to its ever-increasing count of injuries.
Eventually, it completely stopped moving.
A moment later, a hand stretched out of the opening and touched the ground.
BANG!
Then, Kyle burst out of the beetle, holding out his other hand.
He could feel the sextet of legs of the other beetle.
An instant later, the sextet vanished.
The other beetle was attacking him.
At that moment, Kyle’s left hand grabbed something out of the air.
His hammer!
His hammer was connected to Kyle, and it was not difficult for him to summon it to him with his Soul.
As long as he could feel it, he could pull it to him.
When the hammer reached Kyle’s hand, Kyle immediately swung forward.
He still couldn’t see his enemy, but for some reason, he felt like he knew exactly where it was.
It was kind of… just obvious.
In Kyle’s mind, he saw the invisible enemy charging at him with its horns.
Kyle spun once.
If he attacked immediately, his attack would miss, but a spin would time it perfectly.
Wind Ether gathered around Kyle.
Explosions of fire came out of the hammer’s back.
Kyle’s eyes narrowed in fury.
The hammer swung…
And hit.
BOOOOOM!
CRKSH!
Two sharp and powerful spears tore through the left side of Kyle’s torso, and he was pulled along the enemy’s trajectory.
CRKSH!
The spears tore out of Kyle’s body, leaving two huge crevices.
Kyle’s left arm traveled along the body that was passing him, and somehow, Kyle could perfectly feel what body part he was touching.
He moved his hand down and grabbed one of the enemy’s legs.
Kyle landed, and his entire body bulged with power.
“RRAAAHH!” he shouted as he pulled the leg.
Kyle swung and threw the enemy upward.
BOOOM!
The enemy’s body hit the top of the cave, and Kyle heard several stones loosen.
The enemy was falling towards him, surrounded by stones.
Yet, even though there were so many stones around the falling enemy, he could tell exactly where it was.
He readied his hammer and spun.
Boost!
Boost!
Boost!
Faster!
More power!
Kyle spun faster and faster as he used almost 50% of his Ether storage just to make the strike more powerful.
He looked upward with narrowed eyes and gritted teeth.
His stance stabilized.
The enemy was just above him, still stunned from the earlier hit to its head.
Kyle’s violently burning hammer shone through the darkness.
A meteorite shooting through the night sky.
The hammer hit.
BOOOOOOM!
Bug juices, chitin, and horn went everywhere.
The different parts of the beetle hit different points in the cave, shaking them.
Kyle put his hammer over his shoulder as one rock after the other bounced off his titanic body.
“Good riddance!”
