Chapter 2
Feng Sheng had come out of the mansion with Luo Yangyang. However, he had other appointments, so he did not go to the private room.
He was minding his business walking down the corridor when someone bumped into him. His face darkened, and he pushed away the person in front of him instinctively.
Luo Yangyang was wearing a pink dress, and her face was red under the lights. She looked like a ripened peach that was waiting to be plucked. One’s throat would tighten from the sight of her. When Feng Sheng saw that it was Luo Yangyang, he stopped what he was doing.
Luo Yangyang became even dizzier after bumping into Feng Seng. Her eyes met with Feng Sheng’s cold stare. Her eyelashes fluttered, and it seemed like she was not so dizzy anymore. “Bro?”
After blinking a few times, Luo Yangyang let out a sigh of relief as she realized the person she had bumped into was Feng Sheng. Her hand pulled the front of his shirt like it was the only thing that could save her. “Bro, save me.”
She was hot. So very hot.
Although Feng Sheng wanted nothing to do with her, at the end of the day, she was the daughter of his stepmother. He could not be that heartless, right?
Jiang Haifeng had just exited the private room and saw that Luo Yangyang was in the arms of a man. Seeing how impatient she was, the corner of his lips curled in disdain.
However, when he realized that the person Luo Yangyang’s was leaning on was Feng Sheng, he stopped scorning. Nevertheless, a chill went down his spine.
What was Feng Sheng doing there?
Wasn’t he not coming to the gathering?
Feng Sheng glanced at Jiang Haifeng coldly and then back at the terrified Luo Yangyang who was begging him with a red face.
Luo Yangyang’s face was suspiciously red, and Feng Sheng could feel that heat from her hands through his shirt. After closing his eyes for a bit, he understood the whole story.
Jiang Haifeng was still so ruthless when it came to women.
“Save me, bro…” When Luo Yangyang saw Jiang Haifeng, she leaned closer to Feng Sheng. Her lips were trembling uncontrollably.
Even though she had never been to such places before, she knew what was going on.
She did not know Jiang Haifeng before this, and she did not know why he was targetting her.
However, she felt helpless. If Feng Sheng did not save her that night, she would be in deep trouble.
Luo Yangyang’s cries of help caused Jiang Haifeng to turn nervous. He began to feel scared.
Even though Feng Sheng was not that much older than him, everyone in Imperial City knew how brutal he could be. Jiang Haifeng was so terrified that he did not even dare look at him.
He was going to die because of Ye Shayan.
Had she not said that Feng Sheng wanted nothing to do with his stepsister?
After Luo Yangyang’s pleas and Jiang Haifeng’s nervous gaze, Feng Sheng placed his hand on Luo Yangyang’s trembling shoulder.
He did not pull her into his arms like a savior.
Instead, he pushed Luo Yangyang on the ground.
At that moment, Luo Yangyang was overwhelmed with dizziness, and she forgot what pain felt despite having been pushed to the ground.
Her clear but dazed eyes looked at Feng Sheng dumbfoundedly.
He stood tall in front of her, like an emperor who was indifferent about everything. He did not even lower his eyes to look at her.
Luo Yangyang could clearly see the hate and disgust on his face as well as his black and sharp eyes.
He hated her.
Her heart went cold. Luo Yangyang reverted her gaze and tried to contain her pain.
Her stepfather was the one who had voluntarily married her mother. No one had forced him to do it, and both mother and daughter were not after their wealth. Even though Feng Sheng wanted nothing to do with her, did he really not want to save her?
Further cementing that thought in Luo Yangyang’s head, Feng Sheng walked away from her as if nothing had happened.
